Lots to pick from including chicken, beef, pork, curries, mac and cheese, rice, beans, etc. I have zero resistance to things like empanadas and beef patties. They had several options. I got the chicken, the beef, the beef and cheese, and something else which I can't remember. They were flaky, savory, perfectly seasoned, and all around super tasty. Prices were decent. The staff was very helpful. We had to ask about a few things because we couldn't tell just by looking exactly what was in a particular dish. They are pretty much willing to put together any combination you'd like. Extra rice, less rice, a few beans, a lot of beans, some chicken, come beef, etc. My husband ordered a papas rellenas and it was as good as the patties.

These are perfect mouthfuls of easy to hold wings that are dripping in thoughtful sauces and laced with crispy skin. They are an ode to wings. As far as wings go, I'll never eat anyone else's. Their pizza was also just as thoughtful. Most people don't put the time into creating a good dough, but Bubba D's does. You can taste the depth of flavor in their crust which is chewy with a nice crust but not tough and not doughy. It's sturdy enough to hold a solid set of toppings without flopping over (this is not a New York slice) but still supple enough to be fun. We got a 16inch and it was enormous! The toppings were surprisingly well balanced. Not too much of any one thing, not skimpy with tiny bits, just the right size to fit in your mouth and cooked well enough to be able to bite through. I can't wait to try more .

I wanted one of my first experiences in my new city to be somewhere good, and Quaker Steak & Lube definitely did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was great. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable right away. The food was AMAZING, the portions were solid, and everything came out fresh and hot. The wings and sauces were definitely a highlight, and you can tell they take pride in what they're serving. What really stood out to me was the overall experience. Moving to a new city can be a lot, so having a first stop that leaves you thinking, "Yeah, I could definitely get used to being here," means something. Quaker Steak & Lube gave me exactly that feeling. I'm new to York, but if this is the kind of food and service I can expect around here, then I already know I'm going to enjoy my new home. This was a great way to start my time in York, and I'll definitely be coming back. Whether you're local or just passing through, I'd absolutely recommend giving Quaker Steak & Lube a try. 10/10 experience. My husband and I have this ongoing conversation about little locally owned joints that have been…read morearound forever and how they have to have something good that keeps them in business despite competition and chains with brand recognition. We walked into Westgate on a Saturday night, around 8, with low expectations and high hopes. There weren't very many people in the dining room. The menu looks really old school. Still we walked in with what we would be having in mind and ordered just that despite being tempted by numerous options on the menu. We wanted chicken wings and pizza. I'm a wing traditionalist- I like a medium buffalo sauce- and my husband prefers the weird stuff. I won this night and we got the buffalo. We also ordered a medium pizza with half mushrooms and half sausage and sautéed onions. I then later ordered some pierogies because carbs are yummy. The wings came out first and looked really good. Saucy. The way I like them. They appeared to have some kind of dredge on them but it was light and helped the sauce cling and gave them a little extra crispiness. We devoured them. They were absolutely delicious. I asked for celery but I guess our server didn't hear me because we didn't receive any. Our pizza came out a little smaller than I expected but it looked amazing as our server set it down on the table. The crust was puffy and my perfect shade of golden brown. The division of toppings was a little muddled but that was fine too. It was nice that when I picked up a slice to eat it, the slice could support it's own weight and didn't droop disappointingly. The cheese blend was delicious. As was the sauce. I am still talking, days later, about the amazing crust. It wasn't just a bland base for the toppings. It had flavor and character that I really enjoyed. The pierogies were clearly Mrs T brand but they were cooked with butter and onions and I enjoyed them. Our server told us she was new but she got answers to our questions and kept our cups topped up with Diet Coke. The prices were low. We received great service and we really enjoyed the food. I actually just asked my husband when we can go back for some more wings.
