The food is good, the salades are so big even if you get the small, the chess stakes are good packed with meat and sauce. My family and I dined in one time, the service was good the waiter came right over and talked to us. Also, the bathrooms are so clean, but sometimes toilet paper on the floor, the toilets are so clean. Today marks the second time that I visited this establishment. I did not write a review the first time but I can say that I got the sausage and chicken sandwich, which I enjoyed, and made me decide to try something else on the menu. I happen to be in the area so I took the opportunity to visit again. Today I opted to go from one of their lunch specials, any hot or cold sub included a free order of french fries for $8.99. I went with the Chipotle cheese steak, which the menu states is 9". I typically do not carry a ruler with me when I go out to eat as is the case this time however the sandwich looked bigger than 9 inches as advertised, which is a good thing. I can tell that the roll is made in-house and it was soft, had a nice chew to it and good flavor. I immediately recognized the smokey profile of the Chipotle mayo upon my first bite, which I love. The steak itself was also good and I recognize that certain pieces had a little bit more caramelization than others, another detail that I appreciate. My only feedback regarding the sandwich would be that I wish it had more cheese and the steak could use a pinch of salt. I was easily able to remediate the salt situation. The fries were cooked well, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and I noticed another item on their menu that I want to try the next time that I come back. Service was quick and friendly and food was brought out to the table for me. There's ample parking and the interior is open with vibrant decor on the walls. Ambient music plays fairly loudly in the dining room but it wasn't offensive. read more

This is the type of pizzeria that makes you wonder "is it a chain or is it local?" There's a few touches that makes the insides feel local but the rest screams chain. There's the two TV's inside with 1 playing cartoons and the other playing sports, the front desk is in front of you when you first walk in, the menu is set up nicely, the pizza is prepared without any individuality. I got the personal white pizza and expected globs of ricotta cheese as the topping but instead I got it sparsely mixed in with the white sauce. My wife got the caprese salad and it was huge but was like every other caprese salad. There's nothing wrong with this pizzeria, but there's nothing that really sets it apart either. We attempted to order delivery to our hotel, about 2 miles away, and were told that they couldn't deliver to us for at least an hour due to traffic. Since we were not sure where else yo order from, we just asked to place the order to be delivered in an hour and were told that they still couldn't take our order for delivery because they weren't sure what traffic would be like in an hour......... Seriously?! We ended up getting someone to go pick up the food, only a six minute drive, and were super irritated that they wouldn't just deliver. The food was ok, but they were not accommodating at all. We ordered two pizzas and a chicken finger platter. My friend asked to substitute the fried for curly fries and we were told that they don't have those. We questioned the fact that curly fries were listed on their menu and were told that curly fries were only used to make loaded fries. Again, Seriously?! You have the damn fries, why can't you just upcharge us and accommodate the request?! The pizza was decent, but the chicken finger platter arrived saturated in honey mustard and the fries were soggy. We stay at the hotel down the road at least once a year. Next time we will 100% be ordering from somewhere else. read more

I am reminded that this is owned by Two Cousins local franchise who probably have consistent specs for all their food. I am hoping for change but am doubtful changes will be made. What I can say from past experiences with Two Cousins - the pizza (which we did not eat) is A-Ok so the next time we visit we will be sure to revisit some of these selection and also have a pizza. While visiting family. We saw this place, we weren't sure how good it would be but wanted to try something different than A&M (which was a staple for me growing up). Staff was incredibly friendly, we ordered carry-out, it was cooked in a timely manner and the store was clean. I am impressed and when we come back to town I cannot wait to come back. The pizza was delicious, sauce to cheese ratio was perfect, toppings were perfect too. I couldn't believe that the bacon Mac n' cheese pizza was that delicious. It was not what I expected and I'm all honesty we got it for the kids, but it ended up being the pizza I went back for a second slice of. Everything about our delivery order was horrible. The woman on the phone was friendly and when I finished ordering (lg pizza, two orders of fries) she told us the wait was 35-45 minutes. No big deal. It's a Friday night. However, it took over an hour for our food to arrive, and we only live 10 minutes away, tops. When our delivery person areived, myself and three children were riding bike on the sidewalk, which he pulled up on to park. Don't know how that's acceptable to anyone who sees a 9, 6, and 3 year old playing there! To top it all off, the fries were cold! That was seriously the last straw. Came in to grab a quick pizza with my family. Ordered one large pizza and there was only one other couple dining there. Waited 50 minutes for the pizza just to arrive cold... so apparently the pizza was done for some time and just sitting in the kitchen. While waiting for the pizza the waitress never came back and refilled drinks. Another group of people came in while we were there and had to find their own menus and no one ever came to get their drinks for a longb time to the point one of them had to go to the cash register to try and order drinks. I will admit that I am a bit of a food snob who has been fortunate enough to have eaten many fantastic meals so I did not have high expectations for this place near the Renaissance Fair but was pleasantly surprised. This is not fine dining but was a good meal with fresh ingredients at a fair price with good service. To be specific, we had the Greek salad, tortellini with Alfredo sauce and pizza. The Greek salad was fresh crisp lettuce, nice red onion, feta and even the olives were good, with garlic bread on the side. The tortellini was also very good, the sauce was on the thinner side (this to me is a good thing) with fresh tomatoes and mushrooms, and good flavor. The pizza was above average (not NYC pizza but still good). It had a good light chewy crust, but the bottom was soggy being served on a metal tray. Overall I recommend this place for anyone looking for a speedy meal at a fair price. read more

Unfortunately I cannot give a good review. They have messed up our orders for delivery repeatedly. Tonight, as so often happens, part of our order was missing and they insisted it was never ordered. I was here when my husband called the order in. Someone at Rino's didin't write it down. They refused to bring the missing part of our order out to the house, telling us we can come pick it up. This is at least the 2nd or 3rd time they have tried to argue about the order on the phone and when they've messed up orders in the past, and including tonight, the manager never gets on the phone him/herself. They make their employess tell the customer that they won't be doing anything to fix their mistake. The poor employee offered to credit our account for the future (even though they insist it was never ordered, so it was apparently never paid for either). All the reviews here are from opening day. Well it's been more than a year so it seems so give it another try. I'm from out of town. Let me say, that as a self proclaimed food critic, I was immensely impressed with this pizza. This was, and I'm not kidding, some of the best pizza I've ever had. The cheese is Grande Cheese, the best brand. The crust was crusty on the outside and perfectly soft and chewy inside and the dough was proofed perfectly. The sauce was the perfect blend of savory and sweet. The toppings were just delicious. In this little town I was literally expecting something like dominos but I was so pleasantly surprised I can't wait to visit here again. Rino's is eh, just "okay". Back a few years ago their food and service was pretty great. But since undergoing new management (again), I would say it's hit or miss. Their red sauce is still pretty good, as are their pizzas and strombolis. The boneless wings have certainly gone down-hill though; overcooked on numerous occasions. Pick-up is no problem but I would avoid eating in. We waited about an hour for our food (a philly cheese steak wrap and a personal pizza) on a not-so busy evening. Our appetizer was brought out after a 30 minute wait only to be incorrect - it took them additional time to bring the corrected appetizer only to have it severely overcooked (the boneless chicken wings). Will occasionally still order select items for pick-up / take out due to convenience and location but I wouldn't say we're huge fans anymore. read more

Now, I frequent this place! Especially with my friends after a rehearsal. In the past 3 times I've been there, Great Service, great food (I ordered the pizza that is like the Baked Potato pizza forget the exact name) and my friend who I suggested to come here said it was the best Gluten Free Pizza he's ever had. I know I order regular Pizzas when I go, but I'm glad places like this offer Gluten Free pizza as well. Seriously, as long as I eat in, this place is the best! I've never written a restaurant review for any website, but I was so pleased by discovering this gem of a restaurant that I felt I had to tell people about it. I was staying in Mannheim because I was a performer in a concert series nearby. I've been part of this concert series for the past 25 years, and it's always been difficult to find a modestly priced restaurant with good food that isn't part of a chain. Rino's is very unassuming in appearance- if you want someplace fancy don't go there. But we sat outside on the deck, overlooking lush cornfields, and had a delicious eggplant and ziti dish that was as good as you'd find at many more expensive restaurants. What a value- $9.99 for a large portion, and that included a good-sized salad and delicious garlic bread.The eggplant was breaded and fried (not my favorite style) but was clearly fresh and homemade. The salad was also large, with tomato, fresh carrots, red cabbage and red onion. Our waitress was young, very sweet and very attentive, and the entire staff was very friendly. All in all, a nice meal and a great value. You'l pay the same amount at any of the local pizza places and not get anything nearly as high quality. read more

There is a little known "diamond in the rough" at the edge of Manheim. "Rino's Italian Restaurant" is quite unassuming & way too easy to pass by with the traffic pattern along that portion of Rt. 72. The signage should definitely be enhanced to draw the attention of passing motorists. I believe some of the more critical remarks I've read are misleading. To those patrons who have offered low ratings, particularly those critical of the long wait when there were few patrons in the restaurant. I would suggest they may not have considered the tremendous " delivery " business running out of the restaurant especially to nearby hotels !! Rino's Italian Restaurant " offers a dining room that is not only quaint, comfortable & inviting -- even more, it perfectly compliments the BYOB experience. Rino's menu is extensive offering an amazing variety to satisfy many a palate. The quality of food that comes out of their small kitchen is remarkable, particularly with all the two-hour & delivery orders. The salads are so fresh & crisp, not your typical salad in size or taste. They are filled with a variety of perfectly prepared bite-size vegetable portions. The biggest surprise is their amazing dressings -- the Caprese Salad dressing is divine. Rino's entries match many fine dining eateries in both taste & presentation. The portions will satisfy even the biggest appetites!! Be prepared to ask for a take out box & have the left-overs for next day's lunch!! What is most remarkable is their sauce -- the taste is unexpectedly unique!! I make my own sauce from a recipe given to me by a relative from Northern Italy. What a surprise to discover the flavor & texture of Rino's sauce -- it is unmatched by most other sauces I've tried in the Central PA area & beyond. I have not entertained the dessert offerings since the entries are more than satisfying. The absolute worst. I ate lunch there this past Tuesday. Had without a doubt the worst buffalo chicken cheese steak I have ever had. I was honestly not sure what the meat was at first. It was cooked so dry and tasteless it was the consistency of over cooked ground beef....what there was of it. The sauce was like spicy red snot with a tiny bit of bleu cheese. The majority of the sandwich was lettuce and a couple of pieces of tomato. At least the sub roll was fresh. I ate half, only because I was ravenous and could not stomach the rest. It was served with a small bag of chips. The awful sandwich, chips and a soda (Not very large with no refill) was $9.81. When I was asked how it was and I truthfully said it was the worst I had ever had and refused to take the rest home no apologies or compensation was offered. They have no pizza slices. My friend had no choice but to purchase a smallish pizza for, with a soda, $9.81. The pizza crust was limp, doughy and tasteless. The cheese was generous with mediocre sauce. Was it even cooked??? This place was over run with fruit flies and you risk life and limb turning in and out of this place. There are better places where you will you will get more for your money....like Sheets. We stopped in based on the great reviews, however never had a chance to try the food. We waited for 5 minutes at the wait to be seated sign before the waitress told us we could sit wherever and she would be with us shortly. We waited another 20 minutes with no menus or service before deciding to walk out. The waitress seemed to be the only person working, she was running back and forth, while two other workers stood at the take out counter and disappeared for minutes at a time into the kitchen. That being said, the waitress checked on the table next to ours and asked how their food was while never acknowledging us. I have never walked out of a restaurant before, but unfortunately chose to do so today based on the poor service. read more
