Bub Burger lettuce wrap
Krista C.

I'd say 11th best burger in the world. Such a cool place to stop by for a delicious burger. Food came out quick and vibe was exactly what you need for a burger spot

Brussel Sprouts and Impossible Burger
Tuhin C.

I was kind of disappointed with my experience at Bubs. I had the impossible burger since I have eating restrictions. I didn't realize that to get tomatos or other things that normally come in an burger, you would have to ask and also pay extra for it - they didn't even mention or ask at the register for htem. I thought the burger was quite mediocre in terms of taste and I had higher expectations and the burger didn't really feel that fresh. Their siracha brussel sprouts were well made though and I enjoyed the flavor in that side for sure.

Onion Rings

The Double smash cheeseburger is just $6 during the weekday happy hour, from 3-5pm. It's right next door to Banks Bar, so get your drink and food altogether--as they share a window. This is a nice and pretty fast serving neighborhood spot. The burger and onion rings were delicious and I'm super plain, only cheese and meat. No sauce is really needed.

This location is mostly for take out, to go orders. There is very limited seating inside if you do choose to dine in. Love the throwback decor VHS tapes, DVD's. Food is freshly prepared and tasty. They make a great burger and I love the shoestring fries and onion rings.

2 Bub Burgers and Fries

Burgers were hot off the grill and fresh! Smash burger style with 2 thinner patties. We both had the Bub's Burger and one order of fries to share. They had a few pinball games and an arcade style game too. The lady at the register was nice and helpful. Parking wasn't too difficult to find either. Laid back atmosphere was perfect for quick lunch that wasn't "fast food."

Brussels sprouts with honey Sriracha glaze-highly recommend

Love the vibe of this neighborhood burger joint where you can dine in or carry out. The burgers are served hot and fresh. Flavors are great and so are the prices. Better than some other companies that are in the city. The star of the meal was the crispy Brussels sprouts that are tossed in a honey Sriracha glaze and plentiful. Window service and food is brought to your table by kind staff. I can't wait to come back and try the other burgers.

Super cool burger joint! I don't crave a burger very often but when I do, I want a good ole smash burger, and Bub's was a good option. The patty was cooked well and the toppings were fresh. I love grilled onions but I wish they were diced and charred instead of sliced; they were a bit stringy. The brussel sprouts were good but for me, a bit too sugary and on the burnt side; I think if they were less sweet, less charred, and a bit more acidic they'd be great. I love that they have food happy hour options from 3-5pm! It's an affordable spot with a groovy feel inside. I'd visit again!

Bacon and BBQ Burger (Best bacon ever!!)

Great burger, great fries, great onion rings! Cool vibe inside and out. Nice area of town to sit and relax. Only drawback was their drink selection. Service was superb. Go get you a Bub's burger right now!!

Peanut Bubber

I loved my burger and fries from Bub's! I ordered my meal on Door Dash and it was warm when I received it. The peanut bubber was a pleasant combination. I added jelly to my bubber because why not ‍

Honestly, the food was OK, but I've had much better burger, fries, and brussels sprouts in New Orleans. Even with the sauce on the burger, I felt like it was really dry and the edges of the burger were also burnt. I really wanted to like it, but it didn't hit like I wanted. The price point was fair and the service was really great. The ambience was really unique and they have games inside if you're into arcade games. Very casual neighborhood spot! Overall, I'll probably stick to my other fav burger spots.

Bub Royale

I'd seen Bubs advertised in Instagram and it looked delicious (although my friend said it is overrated). But I still wanted to try for myself. Ordered Buns via DoorDash. Food arrived about 7 minutes from the time it was picked up by the Dasher.l so everything was still warm when it arrived. I ordered the Bub Royale$13, Peanut Bubber $16 and side of Brussels sprouts $8. Everything was good and presented nicely. The Brussels were good - lots of the crispy charred leaves, which are delicious. Burger patties could have been seasoned better but overall a good meal for just under $40.

23 bucks for an itty bitty burger, fries, and a Diet Coke.

I went to Bub's for lunch to get a Peanut Bubber. If you have never had a peanut butter burger, you should try one someday. The place is pretty cool with some old school posters and video games. The service is ok, since you just place your order and go sit down. You're on your own from that point. I ordered the Peanut Bubber, an order of fries, and a Diet Coke. My total was $23. It was good, got my peanut butter burger fix, but no way near worth 23 bucks. They have a happy hour T-F 2:00pm until 5 for a $5 classic burger. If I ever go back, I will go during that time. Way way way overpriced.

Single patty (I know single is sad ) with crispy tasty onion rings!
Grant I.

Bubs smash burgers are awesome. Nice and thin with little bit of char. Had the single patty which is not the standard but I kinda like the patty to bun ratio like that The onion rings were super crispy and tasty. And the service was super fast. They grill quick! It's in a residential neighborhood so try to not be to noisy at night or jerky Parker's blocking a driveway ;) Inside Bubs it's kinda like a GenX throwback with Star Wars pinball machines, OG Street-fighter and Burgertime coinops!

If you are reading this, which of course I know you are, BE PREPARED FOR A LONG WAIT! If you read…read morethe whole review I'll give you the best tip on how to skip the line (insert shushing emoji) and don't cheat by skipping to the end! Hands down, the best po'boys in all of NOLA. Everything is made from scratch (except the bread, which they source locally), and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorites are the Surf & Turf and the James Brown. The Surf & Turf gives you get the best of both worlds (shout out to Hannah Montana). Look it up kids. You get the slow-cooked roast beef with gravy plus fresh Gulf shrimp. Shut the front door! The James Brown is just as incredible: juicy BBQ beef, pepper jack cheese, fried shrimp, and a hot sauce mayo. Bring napkins - you'll need them. Pro tip: go with a group and order a few different po'boys to share. You'll want to try everything. You made it to the end, so here we go. I feel like gate keeping (look it up old-timers), but I'm going to be generous because I love y'all. In order to skip the line, go to the bar area and find a high top or seat at the bar. A seat always opens up quickly. It never fails. You can order from the bartender and the service is top notch. Cheers y'all!

Parkway Bakery & Tavern -- 4…read more Okay... let's start with the bread, because baby in New Orleans that's where it's won or lost. And THIS bread? Yeah... they did that. Soft, fresh, easy bite. Not that hard French bread that have you pulling and pulling like you in a workout and your jaw about to lock up. As a born and raised New Orleans girl, I'm real particular about my French bread because the bread will make or break your sandwich. I don't know if they bake it in-house or source it, but whatever they doing... keep doing it. Now before I even got the food, let me talk about ordering because that was a little journey. I ordered online and initially had some issues. I actually had to go through Google and search to even find the right website. It wasn't super easy to register or navigate at first, but once I got to the correct site, it was smooth sailing from there. I placed my order, got a time window, and they gave very clear, precise directions on what to do when I pulled up. Now pulling up, I did have to go around the corner to get into the drive-thru situation, but when I tell you... they have a SYSTEM. Very organized. Cars lined up, steady flow, and it looked like business was booming. There's artwork outside, multiple stations, and everything just felt like it ran with purpose. I walked up to the first booth, told the man my name, and he already knew my food was ready. Directed me to pull up to the red light where pickup was, no confusion, no chaos. They don't play. They stand on business and I respect that. Now the food... The shrimp were nicely fried, good size too. Not them little tiny ones where you gotta search through the sandwich just to find one. Every bite had shrimp, evenly distributed, and seasoned well. That's how it's supposed to be. The sauce was good too. It had that New Orleans style BBQ feel to it, kind of like a BBQ shrimp sauce. Messy in a good way. Now the roast beef... Flavor was there, but texture-wise it leaned a little dry for me. It wasn't juicy like I expected. It did say it comes with pepper jack, but I didn't really catch that flavor. Granted, I did add onions and mustard, so that could've played a part. Overall though, it's still worth trying again. Next time I'm probably going to order it as-is, no changes, just to really get the full experience the way they intended. But yeah... Parkway definitely earned a spin back.

It has an interesting, culturally diverse menu, great ambiance, and the folks running it, we met Mike and Chris, were so sweet and lovely to talk to. They definitely put a lot of care into the food they are putting out. We got the H&S bibb salad, which was fresh, with fun pops of flavor and crunch, and not overly dressed, which I really appreciate. We then split a bowl of t seafood gumbo, which was incredible. I love a seafood forward stock for gumbo and this one had a great minerality that Mike told us came from the oyster brine he'd saved from the fresh oysters that eventually went into the gumbo. The oysters were perfectly cooked and there were ample crawfish tails and large shrimp to make this a hearty dish. We also got the crawfish spaghetti special, which was loaded up with crawfish tails, and also slices of garlic, onion, and calabrian chili oil which gave a nice spice without making the dish heavy. The drinks were fun too, get the cuba libre daiquiri if you like rum drinks! They have half priced drinks during happy hour, which goes til 6 so you can actually make it after work. We will definitely be back!!

Also, ordered the lil salad it was light and refreshing not heavy on the dressing.
