Citrus salad with grilled chicken thigh

Have been for lunch and dinner and throughly enjoyed both. They have an excellent happy hour too with great deals on apps and cocktails. Very friendly staff and consistently delightful food. Recommend their Caesar with either a fried chicken cutlet or grilled chicken thighs--they do not skimp on the meat! The onion dip appetizer surprised me as well.

The seating was cute inside and out. Ok, I rarely feel the need to post a bad review but the food and service were not great. What I had was mid and got cold fast even though it was warm out. My friend and I were rudely "welcomed" by the host up front. We also didn't experience much attentiveness until we had ordered some of the more expensive items on the menu. It was distasteful.

Dinner at Garrisons was amazing! *The scallops were an extremely flavorful and unique dish. I was surprised by the chickpeas and how everything went so well together. However, not being a fan of special sauces, I wasn't a fan of the aioli. *The pornstar martini was a deliciously refreshing and exotic blend of vanilla and passion fruit. It was pretty strong also, I could barely finish it. Loved my experience here and its cozy ambience, the staff were all so nice and friendly. I can't wait to visit again, make sure y'all go check them out!

we were looking for a special place to enjoy Mother's day and online reviews recommended Garrison so we made a reservation. We arrived a bit early and the restaurant was a bit confused as to the number of people in our reservation. they started the poor customer service which continued throughout the time. overall customer service and timing was poor but food quality and taste was good. we got seated and ordered the cheese and bread as a starter. The bread was really good while the cheese was alright. We then ordered the pancakes, the veggie omelette, the shrimp omelette, brussels sprouts, side potatoes, and a side of toast and biscuit. The brussels sprouts were really good while the potatoes were decent. The veggie omelette was good while the shrimp omelette had really small shrimps. the biscuit tasted frozen and the pancakes were good but were small and more Japanese-style. overall, the food had good flavor but the portion size was a bit small and the customer service was not good

We're were greeted and seated quickly. The waitress seemed a bit new or perhaps overwhelmed with too many tables, so the manager gave her a hand. At least I assume he was the manager or perhaps owner. The restaurant was full but it wasn't too noisy which sometimes can be an issue in smaller intimate spaces. The menu was a bit electric and had its own twist to New Orleans cuisine. Our food came quickly. The pancakes looked thick and heavy but they were light and fluffy. The bacon was a thick cut and the shrimp and grits were anything but traditional. There was a grit cake smothered in a seafood broth which was a bit too salty but had a good flavor.

This is a great spot for Happy Hour in Metairie. I had the Pornstar Martini. The Walnut Old Fashioned was quite delicious as well.

Took my husband to lunch for his birthday and it was perfect! The food was delectable. The service was excellent and ambiance was beautiful and calm. Highly recommend! Parker was our waiter and he was perfect! Attentive but not hovering.

I came here for brunch nearly a year ago and then more recently, I came here for happy Hour. I was little more impressed with the HH then the brunch. I do think they probably stepped their game up for brunch from what I have read. This place is a gorgeous space and used to be someone's home. I love that we have something like this in Metairie because New Orleans has a bunch of places that are homes turned restaurants and its charming. I love the choice of color on the walls, those beautiful sea blues everywhere. The things I did not enjoy about the brunch was the odd times for the mimosas, in fact they ran out when got there, our brunch was for 1pm. The shrimp and grits were the oddest shrimp and grits I have ever eaten. I guess because it was a grit and not grits... very different. On to happy hour, it is only at the bar, which has a few high-top tables and a few seats at the bar. Its Wed - Fri till 630. I had the chicken liver mousse and the French fries. I enjoyed the dips for the fries, but they weren't as crispy as I would like. Overall, I will probably be back for HH.

Honestly had a really great experience here! The place is so clean and elegant. Beautiful artwork and great color design in my opinion. The food was absolutely amazing. The short ribs and whipped mashed potatoes is a winner! The service was fast, the waiter was amazing and made some recommendations. I will definitely be back!

I went to the Garrison for the first time on a Wednesday night. Pulled up and there was a good-sized parking lot with additional parking across the street. We sat inside, but the outdoor area was spacious and has good vibes. The inside of the restaurant had great vibes, with all kinds of paintings and pictures on the wall that gave it a cool, artsy feel. The ambiance was romantic but still trendy. The food was delicious - we started with the crab gnocchi and shrimp toast, then I had the pasta bolognese for my entree. The shrimp toast was definitely my favorite dish of the night.. not counting dessert, because the chocolate mousse was honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had. I will definitely be back to explore the menu and the outdoor seating area.

Garrison Kitchen in Metairie is slinging plates that'll make you weak in the knees. Let's start with the Walnut Old Fashioned--smooth, a little nutty, and just strong enough to get you into some fun trouble. The burrata? So creamy and luscious, it practically begs you to spread it all over. Then there's the chicken cutlet sandwich, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--like a perfect first date you actually wanna take home. The fresh pasta is always house-made. And those scallops? Seared so perfectly, they melt in your mouth like a whispered secret. Garrison knows how to tease your taste buds--just be ready to surrender.

10/10! Service was amazing, food was on point and the atmosphere is a vibe! Love their decor and the outdoor space is just as stunning as the inside. They offer a Texas ginger beer that tastes better than Vernon's! The braised short ribs were extremely tender and the brussel sprouts were flavorful. I can't wait to try more of their menu.

Martine's is a fun little cocktail dive bar in Old Metairie…read more Products: Duh-ranks, yo! They have a pretty good wine and beer selection, but they shine on their signature cocktails, of which there are so many that I could not reasonably list here, some of which rotate out regularly to keep variety up. Everything, and I mean *everything*, is reasonably priced, if not outright cheap. (5 stars) Service: Usually just a single bartender, except during shift changes, but the place is small enough, that is more than enough. All the 'tenders are friendly and efficient. (5 stars) Facilities: Martine's is located in a strip mall along Metairie Road. It's easily accessible from the Bonnebel exit off I-10. Signage is ample, but you have to be familiar with the turns along the street to be prepared to find it. There is some parking out front, and, as one goes to bars mainly at night, there isn't any competition for space then. There is a pool table, video poker, and what looks to be a non-functioning/unplugged pinball machine (never asked about it). The inside is smallish, and can probably hold about 50 people seated, including tables and bar stools. There is also outside seating available. It's clean, but, for whatever reason, the cigarette smoke lingers in the place. The management is aware and tries to work with customers on this angle. The decor is appropriate, with a saloon feel to it. (4 stars) Bonus 1: free pizza weeknights Bonus 2: free wings on Wednesday with Trivia Overall: The only things I dislike about this place are that it isn't walking distance from my place and the heavy cigarette smoke that makes my eyes burn. Check it out, especially if you like trivia (4 stars)
