Extremely disappointed in BRYNE. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE. Your card will be charged. I was charged $360 even though I spoke to an employee on the phone and cancelled my reservation. I tried to cancel on the app but it said I had to call the restaurant. I could not get through to anyone. I continued to call and finally got through to someone who confirmed they cancelled the resi. Then the next morning I see a $360 charge on my credit card. I tried to contact them a bunch of times since, several different ways. They even read my Facebook message and didn't even answer! Extremely rude! I'm sad that a business could behave this way, especially in this economy. $360 isn't chump change and I got NOTHING out of it.

"Good, not great" I wanted to like this place a lot more. Some things were great like the ambiance and the service. Just wish the food was better. What's to cheer - Very attentive, friendly, wait staff - Nice tablecloth setting - Reasonable portion sizes - Yellowfin was ok, although could have been sliced thinner Whats's to jeer - Food is a little bland - Duck Confit was good but a little overcooked - Asparagus was both raw and overcooked - Surf and Turf: Cooked well, medium rare steak. Needed a better sauce and seasoning - Short Rib, need some more salt and pepper at least. Sauce had a bit of an acrid taste - Duck ravolis had too many pistachios and was dry - a little pricey. Dinner for two is about $130, without drinks or dessert

Brine is a great consideration for breakfast/brunch while visiting Cape May. They have some staples on their menu, but what immediately stood out to me was the creativity in their options. For example, I had gotten the pancake tacos, which was a pancake shell with fried chicken and gochujang maple syrup sauce. While this was fun play on "chicken and waffles," and didn't have a final execution that left me feeling like this was a dish I couldn't find anywhere else. The table next to us ordered the smoked salmon and whitefish board. Even though we only had the chance to look at it, there was no mistaking the portion of this thing. It was a beast, and certainly looks like it could feed 2. Their service was nice - and did a decent job managing the summer tourist rush. I did have to ask for the coffee I ordered a couple of times, but all in all, standard experience here. Ambiance for breakfast is pretty casual - a place where you can just come as you are.

We had a nice quiet brunch at this waterside spot. Small dishes but just enough food. Very friendly staff.

I have always enjoyed my breakfast at Bryne BUT today my pancakes are seriously tough even when ordered with blueberries.

Good for brunch. Large portions. Not sure if the price justifies the dinner. Nice atmosphere and you can park.

All were perfectly seasoned and prepared. Extremely flavorful! Our servers were quite welcoming and helpful. We finished with some shared desserts - baklava and a large piece of revani cake, along with a well prepared Turkish coffee. This evening's dinner followed a few very average beach town dinners, and was a joy and a surprise. Absolutely recommended.

To get to the seating area, you walk by a large bar at the front. It was a bit off-putting, as it wasn't clear to me whether the place was a bar with food or a restaurant. Once you settle in at your table, it's clear it's a restaurant. My partner and I shared the Appetizer platter, which includes Hummus, Dolma, Baba Ganoush, Cous Cous, Eggplant Salad, Potato & Bean Salad, & yogurt. It also comes with pita bread, cut into small slices/triangles. You can also order falafel as an add-on, at $2 per falafel ball. The appetizer platter items were all good. The pita was a bit hard and didn't have much flavor. it was also a small portion of pita - we ran out fairly quickly. The falafel balls were also very good. Crunchy on the outside, but moist and flavorful inside. Really good falafel. The service was fine. We did have to call the staff over to fill water glasses. Service could have been better, considering the restaurant wasn't crowded. My beef with the place is the price. The platter is $27.99, and $2 each for falafels. I think that's a high price point for the platter. At a minimum, it could include 2 falafel balls to help better justify the high price.

I saw it was a Greek place, being Greek myself, I was like, perfect. Let's go! My husband and MIL got the falafel pita & I got the gyro pita. We cleaned our plates. The plate came with delicious French fries and a salad. It was exactly the kind of meal I wanted. We all very much enjoyed our lunch. As we were finishing my MIL said I made a great choice. Haha. I was recommended the tiramisu waffle and it did not disappoint. Loved it. Very old school diner feel. The beachfront location makes it an easy stop before heading to the beach, and the portions were generous. I'd absolutely return on my next Cape May trip. Keep in mind they do not accept credit cards and send you next door to get cash from the atm. There's no mention on this in Google and caught me and apparently the line of diners behind me by surprise as we had to pull cash for our meal after service. Would've been nice to know before hand but doesn't take away from the good food. Will return!

Let me start out by saying that the place itself is not much to look at and the furniture could use an update. It's decorated nicely inside. The service was ok the night we went and it's usually better. They had a huge birthday party (about 15 people) that took a lot of their time. However, the reason to come here is the awesome food. They bring you out three dips and pita for dipping. Each one if fantastic. For my meal I started with the salad topped with Mohammed's spiced vinaigrette. The dressing is so good. For my main I got the Egyptian Flounder with veggies and couscous. It came with a side of tahini to put on top if you like to. The Flounder was moist and delicious. The veggies and couscous were also very good. The portion size is incredible. The attached picture shows my meal, WHEN I WAS FULL AND MY MEAL WAS FINISHED. It came with two big flounder fillets. My wife got the crab bisque as a starter and scallops with lobster sauce for her main. I was able to try both since we had so many leftovers. The crab bisque is probably the best I've ever eaten. My daughter got the salad as well and the lamb stew which she really enjoyed.
