Felt welcome right from the start. Group of 8 and we opted to sit outside which worked out great. Ordered a bunch of appetizers and they all were good. Special was loukaniko(Greek sausage) was very good. Greek horiatiko salad was one of the best i have had out. The large was plenty for the group. Octopus was said to be very good as were the keftedes(meatballs). Entrees were Lamb shank which was said to be excellent as was the shrimp saganaki and lamb chops. I had the swordfish skewers which were very good. The side of rice and vegetables was very tasty. The pita bread was outstanding and the best I've had. Service from Natali was outstanding. Authentic Greek cuisine. Limited menu, but specials offered as well. Enjoyed the halibut and lobster tail dinner served with rice pilaf. The fish was lightly dredged and fried. Was good. We arrived for an early dinner on a Monday night. We were immediately seated at a corner table by a friendly server who very quickly brought tasty hummus and fresh bread. Much of New Jersey is BYOB - we brought a wine perfect for Greek food/fish and the server delivered glasses immediately. We didn't want to overeat - and after discussing dishes with our server we chose the calamari appetizer, different salads for each of us and the swordfish kabob entree to share. Sometimes calamari can be hit or miss - this was a definitely in the hit category. Crispy and fresh - served with peppers and not over-cooked or greasy. Also a good sized serving! Our salads were equally fresh, well-presented and perfectly dressed. Very crisp and satisfying. The serving of swordfish kabobs was generous and they were perfectly grilled, very fresh tasting, and delicious. The server checked in appropriately and offered extra bread. We had a nice chat with her at the end of our meal. She has a professional job and has worked at Oliver Branch for several years - she spoke highly of the family that owns/runs it. Lastly, while the restaurant is set on an arterial, they have done a nice job of setting it up to seem intimate and inviting. Lots of windows and clean lines with restrained details. There is an outdoor area that is well designed, though it was too cold to consider that this time. Excellent food. Ordered the Kalamari with the pepperonis which was wonderful. Cooked well not under or over just right. Sauces were spot on. The bronzino fish i thought would be too large to finish , so I split with my sister. Believe me it is good for one person. Fish was excellent, cooked perfectly. Rice and vegetables were perfect. This was the best meal we ate in beautiful Cape May. New Jersey! Three of us had their fish special, all were remarkable. Mine was the whole red snapper and with the head and tail because the cheeks are divine. We had appetizers, soup, and a dessert. We were at party of 5 in town briefly sept 21, and It was recommended by a local, Myles. This place did not disappoint so stop in and enjoy, as a BYOB we were able to supply our own beverages. A nice variety of Prosecco beer and red wine for the various tastes that night. It was a most memorable dinner for our family. And we chose to dine outside of the cape shore. Olive Branch was a great experience from start to finish. The whole restaurant looks very elegant and has a nice mood to it. A good place for an intimate meal. For appetizers, we had the Kasseri Cheese which was deep fried. For entrees, we had the Shrimp Saganaki and the Salmon. Everything we ate was incredible. It was all good perfectly and the rice in both dishes was very tasty. My favorite dish was the Shrimp Saganaki. Everything about it was great, especially the sauce and the rice. Service was very speedy too! We were in and out within an hour of being seated. I have no complaints whatsoever about this restaurant. Would recommend coming here for special occasion or if you just want something nicer for dinner. read more

we visited olive branch on our way to see the fireworks in villas. after calling to see about a reservation (they don't take them) I was a little nervous that we'd have to wait, but we were seated right away. our server was very helpful and enthusiastic as she told us about the specials of the day. We decided to have 2 appetizers, a salad, and a swordfish kabob all brought to the table together. we noshed on black olive hummus and crusty bread, complimentary, while we awaited the shrimp app, fried kasseri cheese and the rest of the meal. we were delighted with the whole experience, everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. we skipped dessert but the options sounded great. we will return, probably for a whole fish next time. prices are very reasonable. read more

My review for Olive Branch is based solely on the food, as I picked up an order to eat in my Airbnb. Chicken wings: five stars. Impeccably crispy and flavorful. A true delight. Feta and olives: five stars. High quality olives and feta. Pita: three stars. Why don't they have hummus here? It would have been a perfect compliment to the pita. Pork tenderloin kebab: four stars. The pork was cooked perfectly. Chicken kebab: two stars. The chicken was dry, tough, and very charred on the outside, leaving a not-so-great flavor in my mouth. I imagine some of the high ratings are coming from the service and ambiance aspects of this restaurant. In terms of just food, it was good, but not great. read more

Wow... visited on a Sunday evening in January and LOVED this place. Friendly staff, cute dining room, great service, and absolutely amazing food. My fiancé and I stopped at this restaurant on a whim once, not knowing what to expect. I wasn't even that hungry when we stopped so I didn't expect to eat much. However as soon as we ordered an appetizer I knew I had to try more. And despite not being super hungry, I made myself try more and ended up eating so much! We love coming to Cape May NJ to visit the smooth sand beaches and destress from our hectic everyday. Based on 5-star Yelp reviews with yummy photos we selected this restaurant on our first dinner and happily not disappointed. We got lucky and our waitress was a people person and very helpful and recommended several dishes. Definitely eat here, we will bring our kids and their significant others. Great food, service and atmosphere. Just a short drive from the Cape May Beach, Olive Brand was surely worth the trip. My wife and I chose the outdoor seating and it was a great experience. We arrived early and we're sat immediately. We both ordered the Watermelon Feta Salad. (We actually went out to a different Greek restaurant a week later ordered the same salad and it paled in comparison to The Olive Branch.) So happy we found the Olive Branch restaurant on our recent family vacation. The staff was welcoming and the service was great. We sat outside in the lovely patio area where they had nice music playing. We ordered the spinach and feta appetizer with crispy pita and also the grilled octopus appetizers. Both were absolutely delicious! For dinner we had the lamp chops, grilled salmon and chicken kabob. Each dish was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and the best meal we'd had in the area. Everything was excellent. There were four of us, but only two different entrées were actually ordered. The swordfish kebab and the lamb chops very flavorful with vegetables cooked perfectly. Lamb chops were grilled perhaps a little bit more well done than I would've wanted but I didn't ask for them in any particular way. The only suggestion would give is that the wait staff remembers to ask people how they want theirs cooked. Still the seasoning is so flavorful I'm not really complaining. The pita bread, and tzatziki fabulous appetizer. In fact, I would say the best pita bread I've ever had. I've traveled through Greece three times, and this food was authentic! They don't accept reservations. They have outdoor seating but if you're not there by 6 PM, you're not likely to be sitting outdoors. read more

This place truly lives up to the reviews prior to ours and we went with a group of 7 and there is not one dish that was not excellent. The octopus appetizer was as good as you can get, extremely tender(which is so often not the case), charred nicely and excellent flavor. We also had the fried cheese which was fantastic and the calamari which was very good, however not anything overly special. The star of the night for us and 3 others in our group was the halibut dusted in pistachio, topped with fried lobster tail over rice pilaf was as good as meal as we have had. I asked if the lobster tail was fresh because although I believed most everything was fresh, I had to ask about this because so often a lobster tail served without the rest of the lobster body is previously frozen. Our waitress didn't hesitate to say everything is fresh, and she was absolutely right, as it was delicious, complimented the rest of the dish and would have been obvious if it was frozen. The halibut was cooked perfectly, the rice pilaf perfect and the entire dish was delicious. I included a picture of watermelon salad which my mother loved. This place is a must try. read more
