Our server at breakfast this morning recommended this restaurant after I told him my family was from the Mediterranean area, and he said this was pretty close to authentic, so we had to give it a try. We had such a great meal here. They brought crusty bread with a Kalamata hummus, which you could definitely taste the garlic, luckily we both love garlic. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin kebabs which comes with a pilaf and vegetables, and he just about licked the plate clean, saying it wasn't dried out or overcooked. I ordered the salmon, which also came with the pilaf and vegetables. I tend to be picky about my fish since it's so easy to overcook. This salmon might have been the best fish I've ever had. It was seared quickly but not so long as to overcook it or dry it out. I forgot to take a picture of dessert, but we had the chocolate mousse that comes with vanilla ice cream. Yeah, it was as good as the rest of the meal. Another plus for this restaurant is the acoustic tiles, so you can hear the people at your table and you don't have to yell for them to hear you. We arrived as they were opening.greeted kindly and seated. We had a wonderful server. I am terrible with names since my stroke so I can't remember. We had a great seat by the window. The whole place is surrounded by windows plus a lovely seating area outside it was a bit humid so we chose inside. After introductions we received our bread it had a wonderful spread my wife thought tapenade and our friend thought it was hummus. It didn't matter both bread and topping were right on right on right on. For starters I got grilled shrimp perfect example of the Greek fare lemon garlic and herbs I had to share one w my wife and was very sad I had too. One friend got dolmades grape leaves stuffed w rice and herbs my wife and him enjoyed them and loved how the y hit all the spots and were true to form our other friend got the melintzandalata an eggplant dip that had a zing to it served with pita bread. The dip was good the pita over the top good wished I had ordered a side with my entree but I from what I tried I'll be back to order the pita again. Onto the entrees oh everything was perfectly timed and service was once agai beyond lovely no rush just letting old friends eat and enjoy. Oh so two had the salmon and loved it. One had the pork loin kabob thoroughly enjoyed gave a two thumbs. My entree was the filet mignon kabob. Had peppers and onion with it plus rice pilaf w house veggies I scarfed it down like a last meal it was that good came w a side of tzatziki sauce. Everything was tender hot and tasty. Plus we got a side of lemon potatoes I must say we are spoiled we used to live blocks from south street souvlaki whos lemon potatoes we loved these were just as good. We spit them and again I wanted them for myself but share and share alike.. everything was so much my wife and I had enough room to try a dessert we got the mosaic which was a frozen choco mousse with a cookie in it topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream w choco sauce with a cookie in between. It was a little bit hard to break with a spoon but we ate every last piece. And enjoyed it I personally would have been happy with a chocolate mousse on the softer side but it was desert and we tried it and ate every piece leaving nothing on the plate Ice cream and sauce were a great accompaniment. Anyway we have lived in villas for a while and this is the first time we were not disappointed. We can't wait to go back hoping my wife will be up for it next week we wanted to impress our friends and thanks to olive branch we did. Oh the server kept my iced tea full and to me that's huge I drink s lot of iced tea. Special was loukaniko(Greek sausage) was very good. Greek horiatiko salad was one of the best i have had out. The large was plenty for the group. We arrived for an early dinner on a Monday night. We were immediately seated at a corner table by a friendly server who very quickly brought tasty hummus and fresh bread. Much of New Jersey is BYOB - we brought a wine perfect for Greek food/fish and the server delivered glasses immediately. We didn't want to overeat - and after discussing dishes with our server we chose the calamari appetizer, different salads for each of us and the swordfish kabob entree to share. Sometimes calamari can be hit or miss - this was a definitely in the hit category. Crispy and fresh - served with peppers and not over-cooked or greasy. Also a good sized serving! Our salads were equally fresh, well-presented and perfectly dressed. Very crisp and satisfying. The serving of swordfish kabobs was generous and they were perfectly grilled, very fresh tasting, and delicious. The server checked in appropriately and offered extra bread. We had a nice chat with her at the end of our meal. She has a professional job and has worked at Oliver Branch for several years - she spoke highly of the family that owns/runs it. Lastly, while the restaurant is set on an arterial, they have done a nice job of setting it up to seem intimate and inviting. Lots of windows and clean lines with restrained details. There is an outdoor area that is well designed, though it was too cold to consider that this time. This was the best meal we ate in beautiful Cape May. New Jersey! Three of us had their fish special, all were remarkable. Mine was the whole red snapper and with the head and tail because the cheeks are divine. We had appetizers, soup, and a dessert. We were at party of 5 in town briefly sept 21, and It was recommended by a local, Myles. This place did not disappoint so stop in and enjoy, as a BYOB we were able to supply our own beverages. A nice variety of Prosecco beer and red wine for the various tastes that night. It was a most memorable dinner for our family. And we chose to dine outside of the cape shore. Olive Branch was a great experience from start to finish. The whole restaurant looks very elegant and has a nice mood to it. A good place for an intimate meal. For appetizers, we had the Kasseri Cheese which was deep fried. For entrees, we had the Shrimp Saganaki and the Salmon. Everything we ate was incredible. It was all good perfectly and the rice in both dishes was very tasty. My favorite dish was the Shrimp Saganaki. Everything about it was great, especially the sauce and the rice. Service was very speedy too! We were in and out within an hour of being seated. I have no complaints whatsoever about this restaurant. My review for Olive Branch is based solely on the food, as I picked up an order to eat in my Airbnb. Chicken wings: five stars. Impeccably crispy and flavorful. A true delight. Feta and olives: five stars. High quality olives and feta. Pita: three stars. Why don't they have hummus here? It would have been a perfect compliment to the pita. Pork tenderloin kebab: four stars. The pork was cooked perfectly. Chicken kebab: two stars. The chicken was dry, tough, and very charred on the outside, leaving a not-so-great flavor in my mouth. I imagine some of the high ratings are coming from the service and ambiance aspects of this restaurant. In terms of just food, it was good, but not great. read more

we visited olive branch on our way to see the fireworks in villas. after calling to see about a reservation (they don't take them) I was a little nervous that we'd have to wait, but we were seated right away. our server was very helpful and enthusiastic as she told us about the specials of the day. We decided to have 2 appetizers, a salad, and a swordfish kabob all brought to the table together. we noshed on black olive hummus and crusty bread, complimentary, while we awaited the shrimp app, fried kasseri cheese and the rest of the meal. we were delighted with the whole experience, everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. we skipped dessert but the options sounded great. we will return, probably for a whole fish next time. prices are very reasonable. read more

Based on 5-star Yelp reviews with yummy photos we selected this restaurant on our first dinner and happily not disappointed. We arrived early and we're sat immediately. We both ordered the Watermelon Feta Salad. (We actually went out to a different Greek restaurant a week later ordered the same salad and it paled in comparison to The Olive Branch.)
