I'm writing this to share my experience so others can go in fully informed before doing business with this dealership. From the very beginning, there were red flags. The paperwork had inconsistencies, and I was never properly provided a completed, signed inspection form. At one point, I was even asked to sign a blank inspection form, which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. After purchasing the van, I started dealing with issues that should have either been disclosed or caught during inspection. I brought the vehicle back expecting the dealership to stand behind what they sold and handle things properly. Instead, the process felt careless and frustrating. I was told the total cost of repairs was over $7,000, and that the dealership was "covering" over $6,000 of that, leaving me responsible for about $1,100. However, when I received the actual receipts, the total only showed around $3,000, with a $2,000 discount applied--bringing my portion to the same $1,100 I paid. When I questioned why the numbers didn't match the claimed $7,000 total, I was given vague answers and told that the rest was handled on "separate backend paperwork" that they were unwilling to provide. That lack of transparency raises serious concerns about what I was actually charged versus what I was told. Communication throughout the process was poor, and I constantly felt like I had to chase answers rather than being treated like a valued customer. When I dropped the van off for service, it had close to half a tank of gas. When I got it back, the low fuel light was on. That alone shows a lack of respect for customers' property. On top of that, when I got the vehicle back, small but obvious things were ignored--like broken clips that hold wiring in place. It would have taken very little time to fix, but it wasn't done. That kind of detail reflects the overall level of care and attention they put into their work, and it makes you question what else may have been overlooked. Overall, this experience left me with very little confidence in this dealership. Between the questionable paperwork, lack of transparency around repair costs, poor communication, and careless service, I would strongly recommend anyone considering buying from here to get an independent inspection and be prepared to double-check everything. read more

I have taken my vehicle to Bryden Motors twice, both times for manufacturer recalls. On each visit, I was told they could not complete the recall because I did not purchase my vehicle from them. That is not how recalls work--recalls are issued by the manufacturer and should be honored regardless of where the vehicle was purchased. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I am not impressed with this dealership's handling of recall repairs. read more

Bryden Jeep in Beloit, WI is the WORST service shop that I have experienced. After calling a few Jeep dealerships in the area. Bryden is the HIGHEST hourly mechanical rate. I brought my vehicle in for a ticking noise. I also asked for information regarding the GPS/nav updates. After calling for an update on MY vehicle and was told that the information was sent to the warranty company and Bryden could not tell me what was causing the noise until after the warranty company approved the work. I asked if they could tell ME what was wrong with MY vehicle since I am the owner, not the warranty company. (Obviously, there is some kind of diagnostics completed on the vehicle for them to send in documentation to the warranty company.) I was informed that is not the way their service department works and they have a process they have to follow. I left a voice mail for the service manager (Ed) so I could get clarification regarding this process. I did not even get the respect of a return phone call After picking up my vehicle, I smelled burning, saw smoke and the ticking noise was worse than when I brought it in for service. I called Bryden and spoke with Ed. He told me, "I don't know what to tell you, maybe it is residual", "we just rolled it right before you got here" and "we did everything right." I brought it back to Bryden and Ed said, "I hear something, but it's not that bad" so acknowledging that something is still wrong with my vehicle. We exchanged words and Ed told me he, "refuses to service my car" and that I "need to take my vehicle somewhere else." I told him I would follow up several places Chrysler, management of Bryden, and even Yelp. Ed told me I was the worse customer and I need help. (Why?? Because I am questioning service done (or not) on my vehicle?) Admittedly I told Ed he needs to learn how to manage My issues with Bryden / Ed 1) The process needs to be reevaluated. What if I didn't have a warranty company? Or what if the warranty company didn't approve the claim or certain parts for repair? Would my vehicle not have required as much work to get done? Shouldn't the OWNER of the vehicle be informed of what is wrong with THEIR vehicle regardless of what is covered or not? Example: You go to the doctor. The doctor WILL NOT tell you what is medically wrong with YOU until they find out what your insurance company will pay. Again, it should not matter - it is you, your body, your medical issue. 2) They could/would not tell me when my car would be ready. I am not looking for an exact date and time-but a day would be helpful so I could make arrangements with the rental car company, as well as a ride to the dealership. This is not unreasonable. 3) I was informed by my warranty company that Bryden submitted service for 10 hours. How does 10 hours-worth of repair turn into 4-5 days repair? Especially when I was told it was "occupying space in their bay" and they want to "work on it right away" 4) I was told by my warranty company that there is a 24-month guarantee on the parts that Bryden replaced. With Ed's statement above "refusing" service to me and in my opinion, lack of customer service what option do I have if something were to happen in the next 24 months? I have an appointment with another Jeep dealership to verify the work performed from Bryden and I will have to pay out of pocket for peace of mind 5) Bryden DID NOT submit the entire bill to the warranty company. So where did the discrepancy come from? Why was I expected to pay more? Scam? Commission? Who knows - not me 6) I have no idea what Bryden actually updated. I went directly to Uconnect After spending 30 minutes researching and downloading software updates per my VIN number I needed 15 updates. If Bryden just performed an update -why would my vehicle require an additional 15 additional updates? 7) I still have not received any documentation from Bryden as to the actual work and cost that was submitted to the warranty company. I will have to work with my warranty company to obtain documents for my records read more

Everyone was great! Top notch customer service along with great communication made everything right.

The mechanic disconnected my front camera so I wouldn't know where he drove my car to while tested it out! He put 75+ miles in it over two days and says he couldn't find anything wrong with it and still charged me! The car stunk badly when I got it back and they returned it with tire pressure low light on so I had to fill with air plus put more gas in it since they used it all! I do not recommend using Brydens at all, go to Belvidere or Rockford instead! read more

I stopped at the dealer for emergency service on a road trip from TN to MN. I was driving a Jeep EcoDiesel that had severe engine troubles (no power, no turbo pressure). I was excited when they could get it in right away but then disappointed when they told me the issue was a clogged air filter and soft charge pipe and said there was nothing they could do (because those were aftermarket parts) As an engineer and mechanical person, their explanation made no sense based on how the engine was running (behavior, sound, etc). I immediately tested both parts upon getting the Jeep back and confirmed they were wrong. I limped home, going 45 mph for 450 miles and was able to dig deeper into the situation. I came to find the turbo had a catastrophic failure. I discovered this through systematic diagnostics and ultimately a bore-scope. I wrote a review for them on Google and then the service manager contacted my company threatening retribution. They had the opportunity to contact me directly and discuss the matter but instead they took an extremely unprofessional approach. I could never recommend this place for service at least while the existing service manager is employed. Stay clear! read more

I'm used to pressure when purchasing a vehicle but I feel like when you say no the answer should be no. Even after 3 NOs! But the pressure continued. At this point I feel the finance guy knew I would be having issues and kept pushing me. Since buying the car I have visited the dealership and came in contact with the finance person and both times I was not spoken to or recognized. Overall the sales experience was awesome and my car is beautiful. Update- After having the car for 45 days there are other issues I have had. The back up camera doesn't work the radio does what it wants to do which I have dealt with because that is small in the bigger picture. A week after purchasing the car I took it back for brake issues and told them it felt like the car would hydroplane on dry ground and they stated the rotors had to be resurfaced for rust. The tires are cupped and now I have replaced both front wheel bearings ($400). New tires are going to be installed tomorrow ($600). I have reached out to the dealership with no empathy for my situation due to not purchasing a service plan. But buying a car with only 30000 miles on it I was not figuring to have all these issues so soon. read more

There was an error when paying the registration fees on my new vehicle at Bryden Motors. When I called to let them know, the dealership stated to stop and give the letter to the salesperson "Justin Bean". When I stopped at the dealership, Justin stated " He wanted nothing to do with me because I caused him to lose money on the sale of the vehicle due to not giving him a high enough review and find someone else inside to help me." I thought completing reviews that are sent from Stellantis and Bryden are to see how my experience was and to see if they can improve on future customer experiences. If salesman's fees are based on reviews, they should make sure they are covering all that is in the questionnaire. Is this what dealerships and/or Byrden Motors have come to after a sale? read more

We went in to possibly buy a 2021 challenger, they had increased the price $3000 over MSRP and increased the lease payment we asked why the lease payment was so high after offering to put $4000 down, the salesman said "they didn't know how we'd drive it". What does that have to do anything with leasing a vehicle from Dodge? Would not recommend buying from this dealer! read more

My husband went in to have a turn signal repaired. Told to come back in a week -- they didn't have time to do it. Given an appointment for a week later. He brought it in a week later and was told it would take an hour. And hour later they handed him a bill for $97 to "diagnose" the turn signal problem. He did not sign anything agreeing to a "diagnosis." He thought his truck was being repaired. Left there with a non-working turn signal and a $97 charge on his credit card that he never agreed to. He had a road trip to take and could not get his turn signal repaired before leaving. I called to complain, spoke to manager and was insulted with remarks from him about me calling regarding "a grown man's" problem with his service. By the way, the estimated cost for the turn signal repair ($95) was less than the diagnosis ($97). While they were looking at the turn signal, they decided to look at the rack and pinion too, although he never asked them to look at it. They told him that it was leaking and that they would repair it for $2383.00. He took it immediately to another reputable shop and was told there was nothing wrong with the rack and pinion. We will avoid Bryden Motors in the future. read more

Great experience. Had literally never even been to Beloit in my life. Came strictly based on the car, the great price and Justin's demeanor over the phone. Was absolutely amazing. He's a super laid back, genuine sort of guy and having worked in the car industry myself, I know that can be rare to find. Was hugely impressed. Justin gets big kudos. I had no intention of buying last night, had several very similar cars to look at within the same price point but he definitely won me over. Barb in finance was also great! My daughter took her 2016 Jeep in to have two tires repaired under warranty that had screws in them. One of the screws was near the sidewall and we knew the tire would probably need replacing. Went back two hours later and neither tire was repaired. Due to tread depth on the tire with the screw in the side all 4 tires would need replacing. Fact, this is due to 4 wheel drive, and ALL 4 wheel drive vehicles, that I know of, this must be done or the transfer case can blow. We asked why they didn't at lease plug the one tire and were told that since she needed new tires why bother. Why bother!!?? So now 3 months later twice a week she has to find an air pump at a gas station and blow up two tires instead of just one while she waits for her tax refund to purchase new tires. To say the least Bryden will never see me again! for any reason! Had to take Jeep in for 'check engine' and went to Jack Wolf where we were treated with respect. read more

WHat the HELL WAS I THINKING. Looked at a F250 last Saturday. Had a 30 + minute convo with Dean Zimmerman. He says "send me the info on your trade in via email and I'll have the used car manager look at it on Monday and get cha a quote". Keep in mind the truck I was trading in was THERE, I drove it there!!!!!!!!!! 3 emails and 2 phone calls TO Dean with zero response by the following Wednesday. I get ahold of another dealer which I have worked with in the past (Dearth) and ask them to call Bryden to see if they can wholesale it to them and I would purchase from Dearth. That was a no go BUT I get this random call from ALVIN at Bryden and it's like I was never there. "WHEN YA WANNA STOP BY AND LOOK AT THE F250?", I had a 30 minute convo IN THE TRUCK. Told him numerous times to talk to DEAN, he has all the info and has seen my truck. 2 calls later and I'm still telling ALVIN to talk to Dean for all the info on my truck, he has it. ALVIN even says that I must have been there after 1pm cause the used care manager was gone for the day...NOPE, I was there at 11am. Confused, yep so am I. Ok it's Friday, I still have not heard from ALVIN on a quote for my trade in and final numbers on their truck. First time shame on them, second time shame on me for going there. I purchased my Jeep Rubicon off cars.com through Bryden. 100% nervous about buying a car online and never test driving or seeing it in person.....Bryden took all the worry out. Constant communication the entire way from multiple sales and staff. Any and all info I needed was emailed or express mailed and day. They shipped my Jeep for next to nothing as well. Service manager Scott will not help you if you have a problem with your vehicle even if it is under warranty once some of there service people say it's (fixed) even if it not he will just tell them "ok well it's fixed then give the customer the keys" and will not even talk to you to see what you think still needs to be done. Now I have called the Manufacture and they are going to see why Bryden's will not fix my vehicle all the way. read more

Will never do business with this dealer again. Made a deal with their salesman to order a brand new vehicle and got played along for 3 months only to find out that it was never ordered, even though the salesman kept giving me status updates and a delivery date. And apparently management is OK with their salesmen lying to customers because they said he has had issues in the past about telling the truth, yet he still works there... Management didn't want to help us at all, only telling us that the salesman made a deal he wasn't authorized to make and they wouldn't honor the price we were given. I took my vehicle in for a service recall issue. The service department was overbooked to start with. I asked them to check an emergency brake.. They took my car apart gave me an outrageous quote to do the additional work then at 4:30 on a Friday told me I could not get my car back till Late Monday with or with out the extra work being done because they had no time to put it back together. So I was stranded in Beloit Friday night. Had to have some one come get me Saturday morning... They wouldn't give me a loaner car,,, just a sorry sir.. FY... 1st recall, brought in truck-turns out part was not in stock. 2nd recall, made appointment but having been burned once, I inquired...they made the appointment but did not have the part. When it was installed (washer fluid tank) when I got home I found the fasteners for the fender well had not been reinstalled and one of them was stuck in my tire. Washer worked intermittently for a while then stopped working. Under warranty, took truck in for instrument cluster dead, wipers on won't turn off. Told not warranty issue, mouse chewed wires. I was charged. Turns out lie about mouse and repairs, cluster faulty, was not fixed under warranty. When I picked truck up, cluster was still dead. My neighbor drove me, he has purchased several trucks from Bryden over the years. He got loud about the truck not being fixed. A mechanic rushed my 80 year old neighbor and had to be held back. Under warranty, check engine light on, particulate matter burn off. Service writer asked me what RPM's I'm running at, that I should lock out the overdrive. read more

I bought a used car from Bryden. The sales process was outstanding. Great salesperson and no pressure. Like many other reviews the negative to Bryden is their service department. I drove the vehicle home and noticed that the new front brakes they had put on as part of their 'pre-sales inspection' smelled and were smoking. I called my sales guy and said that they missed a bad caliper in their inspection. He said service would call me to take care of it. They never called. I got a review request from Bryden via text so I stated that if they wanted a good review they needed to fix my brakes. Service finally called and set an appointment. I asked if I would be able to wait and they said yes and that it should only take an hour (which it should have). After an hour and a half they still had not started on my car so I asked for a loaner for the day. They gave me one. At 4pm I call about picking up the vehicle and it's still not done and now they need to order the caliper. I did not have a good feeling about their service dept so I just went back, got my car, and drove home with smoking brakes. I had the leaking water pump, seeping oil pan, and front caliper all replaced at my trusted mechanic. All of these issues should have been caught and fixed in their 'pre-sale inspection'. took our 2015 pro master here twice to have the park brake looked at because when it got cold it would not release was told both times there was nothing wrong with it and they sprayed some lube on it finally took it to Boucher in Janesville and low and behold the cable was bad they replaced it in an hour and all is good, I would not recommend Brydens to even put air in my tires very shoddy service. read more

I'll keep this short. It's a great place to buy a car or truck but don't expect them to take care of your service and maintenance needs after the sale. The service department is awful and I am writing from sad experience with these people. Buy a car from them, but line up someone else to fix your new car or truck after you get it home. Well, on Monday July 24th I had an appointment with Dean Zimmerman. I came in to try to deal for a 2013 Purple Challenger. Asking price (internet and on vehicle $26999.00. Very low miles and in super good shape. We spent two hours trying to strike a deal. Dean seemed to be a very upstanding gentleman very respectful. We couldn't strike deal. Not enough for my trade which I know they could ask twice the price for than what was offered. Dropped the cost of the vehicle slightly and offered financing that would have cost me about $8000. This without checking best rates. I asked why they only worked with a handful of banks and was told they give the best deals. Well this is true for Bryden because they make money from these banks when they get their customers approved. I left Bryden with respect for Dean and the Dealership until this morning. I visited their web page only to find this vehicle now priced at $24793 and just last night during negotiation the cost was $26999. A difference of $2206.00 ???? Overnight ?? Why this wasn't offered to me? Not sure. I lost what little respect I did have for auto dealers and added Bryden to the list. So, buyers please be ware !! They are no different than other dealers even if someone refers you to them. Do your homework but trust none. read more

My dad worked for Chrysler for close to 30 years, has purchased 3-5 vehicles from Bryden Motors. She has a 2015 Town & Country Minivan, which has the Yokohama YK-HTX tires on it. Has less than 22,000 miles and these tires are worn. Yokohama offers a 20% discount if she buys another set of their tires costing over $500 for a set. My mother drives children to church twice a week, had 2 major surgeries last year. When she told me that she has been dealing with this for two months I almost lost it and started to get my lawyer on the phone, but she assured me that the folks at Bryden were good people and would make this right. If this is how Bryden, Yokohama and Chrysler takes care of widows of past employees, her next vehicle will be foreign made. I've read where Yokohama tires have worn prematurely and have had blow outs. Her tires are starting to leak air, and if she has a blown out and accident with those kids in the car, it will cost those involved far more than $600. I'm calling Chrysler, Bryden, and Yokohama to give everyone another chance to correct a defect that she is not going to pay for.
