I was so excited to see there's a Bruxie by UCLA ~ I used to have one by me in Irvine but it didn't survive lockdown I immediately told all my friends that's where we were going for late nite bites after dancing and everyone ultimately loved the food and said it was the correct call. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved the Bruxie playlist and it wasn't too loud so we could still chat away.

Always read the emails Yelp sends about new places. Saw an email that mentioned Bruxie in Westwood Village. Since I like chicken, I decided to go to Bruxie the next time I was in Westwood Village. Went to Bruxie today. Had an Original. It was very good and there was a lot of it. It came with a little bottle of maple syrup. I took the little bottle of maple syrup home with me. Going to go to Bruxie again sometime soon and try something else.

Overall experience - 8/10 - I want on a Wednesday during noon time and it was not super busy. Granted it was before school started and everyone that was eating in the area was either UCLA staff or people who worked at the UCLA hospital nearby. The restaurant has a lot of seating on the 1st floor and there was also a 2nd floor with ample seating. Parking was a bit difficult if you were going to drive here. There was mostly street parking. The Food - I ordered a 2 tender with fries meal. The tenders were nicely spiced and had a decent crunch. The meat was a good quality breast tender. The honey mustard that came with the tenders was a good complement as a dip. I love having honey mustard with the tenders. The tenders had other flavors to put on them, but they were spicy and I didn't have that great of a spice tolerance. The fries were waffle fries and were super crispy. They tasted great with whatever dip that anyone wants to use with it. There were other menus items that I like from this store that I didn't purchase including the original chicken sandwich that is a waffle with fried chicken and coleslaw in it. Overall - I would come back to the restaurant if I was craving friend chicken and waffles. They have many different options, but also some options that I use to like removed from the menu. It is still a fun place to go to eat though. They also have other locations too.

Overall Experience 8.0/10 I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was not super busy. Granted this was before school starts and everyone is back on campus. The restaurant has a lot of space to sit down and even seems to be a nice upstairs area to be seated. Parking will be difficult if you are driving here so plan accordingly if you want to find street parking. The food: We ordered the Loaded Waffle Fries, the Hot Honey Sandwich and The Original. The fries were super crispy, hot and comes with a lot of crispy ground beef and cheese with a slightly spicy mayo drizzled on top. Personally I was not a huge fan of the loaded waffle fries as it felt heavy for me, but others in my group loved it. The Hot Honey Sandwich was amazing. There was a perfect amount of spicy and sweetness to the chicken patty, and it was super crispy, and juicy. The pickles add some acidity which and the spicy mayo sauce make it all come together. I also liked how they toasted the brioche buns too for each sandwich. The Original comes in a waffle taco with slaw and chicken inside of it. The chicken was also just as juicy and tender, and the waffle with coleslaw and adds a sweet and sour balance. Overall: I would come here if I was craving a fried chicken something! They have many options for chicken and it seems like they are all fried well.

I stopped by Bruxie late tonight, and I had such a great experience that I felt it deserved a review. The biggest reason was our server, Nahomy. Even though it was late and I'm sure she was tired after a long shift, she was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming. I originally came in planning to order just the Classic Bruxie Chicken Tenders (around $15), but she took the time to explain the menu, answer my questions, and recommend a few favorites. I ended up spending almost $50 instead, and honestly, it was completely worth it. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the Chicken & Waffle sandwich with sweet cheese added. It was delicious. Also, don't leave without trying the Nutella waffle. It was the perfect dessert and one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, the food was fresh, high quality, and full of flavor, but what really made the visit memorable was Nahomy's outstanding service. She turned what was supposed to be a quick stop into a fantastic dining experience. I'll definitely be back!

This location has an abundance of seating, and is very spacious to dine-in. The classic waffle chicken sandiwch combo was ~$20, which is pretty expensive for fast food brunch, but was so filling. Everything was prepared perfectly, and the workers checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I would go back to this bruxie location again.

Bruxie was a delicious first-timer chicken and waffles experience. The meal on the heavier side, but that was somewhat expected - the chicken was well seasoned and the waffle was soft and fluffy. My meal also came with a tiny cute bottle of maple syrup!

The food was amazing. The service here is so delightful. The chicken was so flavorful and fresh. The waffle is so crisp and fresh definitely will be back to try more options like the sandwiches.

The ingredients are super fresh and the bowl I got was an enormous portion size. The service was really fast and friendly. Being located in Westwood, the vibe was laid back and it was nice to sit outside. The beef I got was really tender and the kim chi, onions and sprouts all worked really well together. The Gogobop sauce was a savory, spicy mayo.

This is the first time I have ever felt the need to leave a negative review. Unfortunately, there is one tall male employee who has served me on several occasions. Based on my personal experience, every time he has been the one preparing my bowl, the portions have been significantly smaller than those served by other employees--not just the rice, but nearly every item. A bowl that is normally filled close to the top by other staff has consistently been only about one-third full when he prepares it. Each time he has served me, I have left feeling hungry. Today, while waiting in line, I honestly hoped that someone else would be serving me. Unfortunately, he was the employee at the counter. I ordered three portions of rice and one vegetable. From the very beginning of my order, he repeatedly acted as though he could not understand what I was saying, even though I was speaking clearly. The customers standing behind me could clearly understand my order and even tried to explain it to him, but he continued saying that he could not understand. As he prepared my bowl, he again gave me much smaller portions than the standard serving. The three portions of rice together were roughly equivalent to what I would normally expect from a single standard scoop. At that point, I knew I would not have enough food for my meal. Because he repeatedly said he could not understand me, I finally asked if another employee could please help me instead. When I pointed to the food to clarify what I meant, he responded by saying, "Don't raise your hand so high." I found this unnecessarily rude and dismissive. For a moment, I even wondered whether ordering three portions of rice was somehow inappropriate. I am currently following a meal plan designed by my nutritionist, and this is simply the amount of food I am supposed to eat. Afterward, I spoke with the Chef Manager and asked whether ordering three portions of rice was a problem. She clearly told me that it was not my fault at all and that my order was completely reasonable. Because I felt so uncomfortable, I got back in line and purchased another bowl just so I would not have to be served by the same employee again. This time, the Chef Manager assisted me. She immediately understood everything I said, treated me with professionalism and respect, apologized for my experience, and assured me that if I returned in the future, she would make sure I would not have to be served by that employee again. I truly appreciate the Chef Manager's professionalism. However, no customer should have to ask for a different employee simply to receive the correct portions and be treated with basic courtesy. This review is not about receiving extra food. It is about receiving the standard portions that every paying customer should expect and being treated with respect. After many years of supporting GoGoBop, I left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. I sincerely hope management reviews this incident and addresses it appropriately, because one employee should not be able to undermine the positive reputation that the rest of the staff has worked hard to build.

When I came in, the place was empty, except for the man at the counter who was very welcoming and friendly. The decorations are minimal, giving the vibe of a very low key hole in the wall. I ordered a glass of jamaica and their pipian de pollo, based on recommendations from other reviews. The jamaica came out quickly, and it was lightly floral and not too sweet. Next came out a little basket of tortilla chips with some pico de gallo. The tortilla chips were hot and freshly fried, with a thick and satisfying crunch. The pico was good enough to add a bit of brightness and freshness to the chips. Finally the pepian de pollo came out, a large platter of chicken stew with a drumstick and a thigh, some potatoes, a mound of rice and a heap of mac and cheese. The stew had a nice deep, rich flavor that really evoked that feeling of comfort of food made with love. The chicken and potatoes soaked up the flavor beautifully, and scooping all that with some rice into a fresh, homemade tortilla made for a lovely experience. The mac and cheese was a bit bland, but everything else was wonderful. Overall, had a lovely time with great food and friendly service. If you're looking for a very low key mom and pop shop with food made with love, definitely recommend checking this place out!
