Tenzo Matcha Latte

Found this place super close to ucla! Comoncy is a small breakfast cafe with variety items on the menu. Even though it's small, it could get very busy during lunch. I was there almost noon on a Tuesday. They are very popular among students and staffs from the university, one after another, given enough work for the staffs to be busy since there were only two of them: one cashier who makes drinks, and one chef who was running around the whole time (high praise to the chef). Food and drink: I think the matcha was alright. Nothing stood out to me. However the food was amazing. I ordered one egg cellent sandwich and one breakfast burrito. They freshly cook both right there. The egg yolk was perfect as described to be runny for the sandwich. The burrito surprised me with blue cheese. I would definitely go back again if I'm around the area.

The best hidden gem! As soon as you walk in you're greeted with "hello's" from Porfirio, Nelson and Luis who are always so kind and helpful in every way. I don't only come here for the food but I come here for the friendly service that is always welcoming. Please stop by and enjoy this little gem like I have.

The food at this place is incredible! I forgot to take a picture of my scrambled egg sandwich I got, but it was so delicious (one of the best I had in a while!). The sandwich I got had scrambled eggs, bacon, and arugula over toasted whole wheat bread and it was delicious! I would 100% come again to eat that sandwich and try out their food. I also got a Matcha Latte which wasn't too strong, but for the price ($5.25?) isn't too bad considering how expensive matcha is these days. The service was incredible. The cashier/barista was nice and let me know there was going to be a wait. If you're looking to try this place out, I suggest placing your order before the 12 PM lunch rush or after! Overall, it's a solid spot to grab food and coffee. Highly recommended to check the place out!

4.5, pretty good coffee!! i got the cubano and loved it. wifi works well too but only one seat i think that was next to an outlet. but there's a good amount of seating (few inside and theres a lot in the patio area), staff were really nice and gave great recommendations, the ac was blasting so it was a bit cold inside. they have a shared restroom in the building. i also got a too good to go bag from here and it was a great deal! the pastries were good an dit came with a sandwich which was a thin baguette-pretty good prosciutto and brie. they also validated parking for 90 minutes!

I've been to Comoncy in Westwood several times, and every visit is consistently a great experience. The staff here are always super friendly and welcoming -- they genuinely make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. The service is fast, the atmosphere is calm and clean, and the coffee always hits the spot. I love stopping by for breakfast or lunch because everything tastes fresh and is made with care. The avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches are my go-tos, and their lattes are always perfect. It's such a nice place to relax, get some work done, or just enjoy a good meal with good people. Highly recommend Comoncy Westwood -- great food, great coffee, and some of the nicest people around!

Comoncy has everything I look for in a cafe - plenty of seating, free validated parking, quiet, good coffee and food. It's tucked away, hidden behind the office building on the SW corner of Westwood and Wilshire (the entrance is off Westwood Blvd). I regret not coming here more often when my office was across the street. Comoncy catered all of our lunch meetings, but now that we've gone remote, we no longer use their catering services as often. I make a point to come at least once a week now. I like their salads and sandwiches, but my favorite item is their coconut raspberry muffin. Their muffin and latte will brighten my mood for the whole day. Service has always been quick and friendly. Note that they close at 3pm on weekdays and are closed on the weekends. Tip: The parking lot entrance is on Ashton Ave, just south of Wilshire Blvd. Parking is free for 90 minutes with validation.

Comoncy Breakfast Burrito

Came right when they opened at 8am on a Monday morning. I was in the city for a conference at UCLA - I walked from the conference center. Ordered the breakfast burrito, which was awesome! It was relatively simple, but each ingredient tasted fresh and flavorful. We really don't have avocados like this on the east coast. Service was super fast (I was the only one in there, since it was so early). Ate outside on the patio, which was really nice.

I've been here a five or six times, usually for coffee and occasionally for breakfast. They are always a solid option. Cute outdoor patio, small indoor seating. No parking as far as I could tell. Service is okay, the cashier was nice enough. Food comes out slow so make sure to order ahead if you're in a hurry, or be okay waiting. I was not in a hurry so I didn't mind. I've always enjoyed the breakfast burritos but this recent time they did not have the salsa to go with it, so it was bland. We asked the cashier for salsa and he said "there isn't any, just hot sauce" as if it's something they don't sell, when it is, in fact, listed on the menu with the breakfast burrito. Not the end of the world, but tastes better with salsa. TLDR: it's a decent spot, convenient if you're in the Westwood area. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it's better than overpriced Alfred.

Stopped for a quick coffee. It's in the Wasserman building (red). If you park in the buildings parking lot free 90 mins.

This cafe is quite spacious with a lot of seating outdoors with covered and uncovered seating. The staff were super nice and friendly and welcoming. They were able to offer their fan faves and personal faves of menu items and provide great recommendations. One of their executive staff Karina was there to greet us and welcome us and offer the amazing suggestion of trying their waffles. I ordered the Dialog detox smoothie with kale, spirulina, hemp milk , banana and pineapple. It was the perfect balance of sweet and earthy and it was a great pick. The star of the show was their waffles with strawberry butter. Their strawberry butter is made with colostrum and made in house. It was so creamy, sweet and delicious! The waffles was fluffy and soft and the right amount of crisp. The waffles and butter just melts in your mouth. I had a great experience and will definitely return whenever im in the area. We got to meet the owner Todd who introduced himself. I admire when owners interact with their customers, it truly shows their love for what they do! Now for the food! WOW! The burger was absolutely incredible. Hands down the best burger I have had at a restaurant in a LONG TIME. It was juicy, tender, flavorful, the cheese was melted beautifully, & the onion sauce that was on the burger was so tasty. It was the perfect combo that melts in your mouth The bun to meat ratio was perfect. Every bite had meat, cheese, and bun. The fries cooked in beef tallow were fantastic! Beautifully crispy and flavorful! The yuzu lemonade tasted fresh and tangy. Not too sweet and not too bitter! Overall such a memorable experience! I will definitely be coming back to check out their breakfast!

Dropped by this restaurant yesterday morning for a quick bite to eat…read more I ordered the avocado and tomato omelette (with cheddar cheese as an add on) and a lemonade. The food came out very fast, which was impressive since there were quite a few customers in the restaurant. The omelette came with two different types of bread and a salad. It was nothing fancy, but fluffy and delicious. I also enjoyed the two types of bread. They were nice and chewy. What I didn't enjoy were the salad and lemonade. The salad had WAY too much vinegar in it. I couldn't take more than a couple of bites of it. The lemonade was very sour and did not taste like it had any sugar in it. I'm guessing they're trying to offer a healthier version of a lemonade, but lemonade without sugar is just glorified lemon water. To be fair, there were packets of raw sugar and stevia on the table. However, these are probably just there for coffee drinkers. Like an idiot, I tried mixing the raw sugar into the lemonade to sweeten it up a little, but it didn't turn out well. The sugar crystals were too large and did not dissolve well in cold water. Outside of the salad and lemonade, I did enjoy my experience here. In fact, I'm planning to come back again soon. When I do, I'm going to try out the baked goods they have on display. They look very appetizing.

Baristas are on point, too. If you don't know exactly what to get, let them guide you. They know their stuff. I've tried the Salted Latik, Cinnamon Turon, Ubeng Ube, and Matchang Matcha. The flavors were subtle, balanced, and thoughtfully executed. They also have all the milk substitutes. Important! Aside from the coffee, my wife and I picked up some of their merch. The fit on the crop tees is perfect and still solid after a few cycles in the wash. This is one of those rare brands you genuinely love to support because they stay true to their mission. WHAT I ORDERED: Salted latik latte THE DRINK: The espresso was very well done, and I think the balance with the amount of milk and cream was really good! I will say that the latik syrup was a little subtle (it sweetened my drink perfectly but would have liked a stronger flavor), and I could have done with a little more salt, but not an egregious complaint. SERVICE: Great! Drink didn't take too long. VIBES: This place was gorgeous! The aesthetic was pretty inviting, and I loved the variety of seating, including a comfy couch. I saw lots of people doing work so I assume there's wi-fi, though not all the seating is set up as if it were geared for long work sessions (i.e., low tables, though there were one or two regular tables too). Not too loud, and no restrictions on laptops that I saw. BOTTOM LINE: I definitely want to come back to try the other signature drinks - they looked super interesting! And perhaps will have to be a go-to when I'm in Westwood.
