Oat Milk Cappuccino

Coffee shop directly outside of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. All of the nurses and hospital staff go here, but it is open to everyone. They serve Starbucks coffee (and a similar menu as Starbucks), plus a few baked goods. They also have Flour Fresh Cream Donuts after 10am, which are some of the best donuts in LA in my opinion. I was here too early for donuts, and none of the other food looked appetizing, but I did enjoy my cappuccino. The oat milk they use had a slightly bitter aftertaste, but it was still a good drink. They do not have any seating, but there are benches in front of the Medical Center.

Outside, southwest corner of UCLA 100 Medical Plaza.

Lovely little addition to UCLA Medical Plaza for coffee and snacks, even a little tiny soup menu. It's got nowhere to sit except outside but that's okay, and give how busy the main hospital cafeteria can get any additional places for food are welcome. It's run by ASUCLA, the Associated Student Union, like most campus eateries, so staff are mostly very young and do their best to be helpful. Can't expect too much from the food and drink but as said it's still a nice addition if you want your Starbucks.

Chocolate croissant and iced coffee (yes it's Starbucks Coffee) :)

I have been here a lot of times. The Ube brownies and cookies are bomb! Great coffee too! The crew are also awesome.

Honestly SOOO shocked my review from whenever 7 years ago or something isn't here. :( but EITHER…read moreWAY. Adding some photos over the years . This place has been such a staple in hollywood and it's always good. I love that they change the menu to try new things but also keep some of the old goodies. Today i tried the new broccoli dish and the steak frites with salad . So so so good!! Sauce on the steak was fantastic. The fries were excellent . I'm not a French fry person (i don't order because i try to stay away from fried food) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - seasoned perfectly and pairs well with the aioli sauce. The eggs and morning plates are some of my favorite things here for breakfast and i love their croissants and cookies!! The chicken Caesar wrap is a huge hit and i know the Gen Z's love this according to my younger sister lol. I feel like you can't go wrong here, always something for everyone. We've brought friends and family here over the years and we'll always continue to do so. The service is also super friendly . I love that they expanded to the side walk because the wait times used to be even crazier when it was just the patio . I remember sooo well. Love the expansion. I know there's more changes and new things to come as time progresses and we'll be here to see it :)

Im big breakfast burrito girlie and heard about the famous dialogue breakfast burrito. However, being that I'm not a huge fan of sausage, I went with their brisket verde burrito (excellent swap). Good amount of beef briskets, soft scrambled eggs, and hash with cilantro and diced onion bites. The green sauce it comes with was just phenomenal. If you're not a bacon and sausage person like myself, you must try the brisket breakfast burrito here. Excellent!!! Topped it with the honey sage cloud match (very good). Made with A2 milk. Love the hint of sage note. Definitely a come back spot for sure. Bringing my other pup along the next time.

Dropped by this restaurant yesterday morning for a quick bite to eat…read more I ordered the avocado and tomato omelette (with cheddar cheese as an add on) and a lemonade. The food came out very fast, which was impressive since there were quite a few customers in the restaurant. The omelette came with two different types of bread and a salad. It was nothing fancy, but fluffy and delicious. I also enjoyed the two types of bread. They were nice and chewy. What I didn't enjoy were the salad and lemonade. The salad had WAY too much vinegar in it. I couldn't take more than a couple of bites of it. The lemonade was very sour and did not taste like it had any sugar in it. I'm guessing they're trying to offer a healthier version of a lemonade, but lemonade without sugar is just glorified lemon water. To be fair, there were packets of raw sugar and stevia on the table. However, these are probably just there for coffee drinkers. Like an idiot, I tried mixing the raw sugar into the lemonade to sweeten it up a little, but it didn't turn out well. The sugar crystals were too large and did not dissolve well in cold water. Outside of the salad and lemonade, I did enjoy my experience here. In fact, I'm planning to come back again soon. When I do, I'm going to try out the baked goods they have on display. They look very appetizing.

Boondocks is easily one of my favorite coffee spots in LA. First impressions, the atmosphere is…read morerelaxed, inviting, and communal. I can see why students love being there. Baristas are on point, too. If you don't know exactly what to get, let them guide you. They know their stuff. I've tried the Salted Latik, Cinnamon Turon, Ubeng Ube, and Matchang Matcha. The flavors were subtle, balanced, and thoughtfully executed. They also have all the milk substitutes. Important! Aside from the coffee, my wife and I picked up some of their merch. The fit on the crop tees is perfect and still solid after a few cycles in the wash. This is one of those rare brands you genuinely love to support because they stay true to their mission. Great coffee, rooted in heritage, and for the culture. 10/10 highly recommend.

One thing about me is I love an Asian American-inspired coffee shop, so this was right up my alley…read moreand perfect since I was at UCLA and in need of a place to grab a coffee with a friend. WHAT I ORDERED: Salted latik latte THE DRINK: The espresso was very well done, and I think the balance with the amount of milk and cream was really good! I will say that the latik syrup was a little subtle (it sweetened my drink perfectly but would have liked a stronger flavor), and I could have done with a little more salt, but not an egregious complaint. SERVICE: Great! Drink didn't take too long. VIBES: This place was gorgeous! The aesthetic was pretty inviting, and I loved the variety of seating, including a comfy couch. I saw lots of people doing work so I assume there's wi-fi, though not all the seating is set up as if it were geared for long work sessions (i.e., low tables, though there were one or two regular tables too). Not too loud, and no restrictions on laptops that I saw. BOTTOM LINE: I definitely want to come back to try the other signature drinks - they looked super interesting! And perhaps will have to be a go-to when I'm in Westwood.
