Fresh orange juice

Convenient parking especially lot 32 if you are UCLA affiliated. Love the cheese danish and cinnamon rolls. And of course the friendly staff. Been coming here for decades!

It smells so bad... it actually makes me sick. I'm not coming back here

Don't sit next to the windows. The exterior is rotting and the smell seeps through the window. It smells like rotting piss and cow manure. The wood has gone spongy.

Cute little cafe in Westwood. Have a nice breakfast and lunch selection. This is a popular study spot among UCLA students, so it can get crowded sometimes. The food is your typical cafe fare. Solid and reliable, nothing too fancy. But the coffee is really good, which is always a plus for me! Definitely want to try their crepes next time.

Cute little place to have a cup of coffee and a few small treats. Outdoor seating have a very Parisian vibe to it. No fancy coffees here. But the regular latte coffee I had was good. The server was friendly and service was quick.

Tiramisu and coffee

My neighbor, mother, and I were heading home and craving a coffee and treat. We were parked on the side of a road and a woman carrying multiple boxes of desserts and a delicious-looking coffee walked by. She told us her treats were from Elysee up the block. We walked in and a girl greeted us immediately. She was very sweet and patient while we browsed. I ordered a mocha, a tiramisu, and fries. The fries were wonderful. They were shoe-string and had the perfect amount of crisp and softness. The tiramisu was decadent and not overly sweet. I'm also impressed with the chocolate used in the mocha. It was great. If I lived or worked nearby, I'd definitely make this my go-to coffee stop. The decoration is cute and it seems like a nice place for some peace.

I work close by so we order pastries and cakes from here from time to time and they never disappoint! Only thing I will say is that they are a bit dry but still good for what it is and I'm always down to support a local business. Heard the coffee was good but never tried so it's next on my list!

Blueberry Scone

10/10 blueberry scone and perfect atmosphere for studying inside and outside. Good service and very clean.

Great place for coffee and dessert. Can get busy and seating is a bit tight . Parking can be challenging but it's manageable. If you are stuck on the 405 and have some time to spare or would rather do something else besides just sit in traffic this is a great spot. Location is close to UCLA so expect a college crowd.

Sweet Nutella Sweet Crepe and the savory prosciutto Don Corleone Crepe BOTH delicious!!

Great food great service really cool downtown LA vibe. Parking is t easy to find but it's worth it.

Don Corleone Crepe

My first time having a savory crepe and it did not disappoint. There was fresh mozzarella, pesto, tomato, and prosciutto, and it bursted with flavor--I loved it. The potatoes were also so crispy on the outside, the best I've ever had as a side.

Yogurt Parfait

A pretty basic, American brunch place. Not a lot of diverse menu options, but if you like an American breakfast this is your place. It has omelets, french toast, eggs, etc. I got the yogurt parfait and it came with a side of fruit. The parfait was decent and reasonably filling for breakfast. I think this establishment gains points due to its indoor amenities. For starters, it has a nice interior that is aesthetically pleasing. Second, it's a great study spot for UCLA students. There is free wifi and it's easy to spend hours there just sitting, looking out the big glass window, and having a leisurely morning. Overall, a pretty decent place, but the food isn't really my taste. I would probably only return if I wanted to get my work done at a cafe.

I'd meant to come to this bistro since it opened (10 years ago! Whoa!!) but vacations to California were short and packed. Now that I've moved back, I got to take my husband for a little lunch date. We sat outside since the weather was exceptional, sunny with a cool breeze. I ordered the steak frites, pear gin and tonic, and my husband had the mussels mariniere with gin and tonic with passion fruit and grapefruit. I can't wait to order the Big Mec next time. For dessert, we shared the Paris breste. It was perfectly sweet and nutty. It was worth the wait and little journey up the 5 from OC. Five stars!

The onion soup was definitely the highlight -- rich, comforting, and one of those warm, satisfying dishes you don't come across that often. The beef tartare was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The omelette was a bit too cheesy for my taste, though that might just come down to personal preference. Banana tart is so good. Try this. The outdoor seating had a great brunch vibe and was really enjoyable, while the indoor space felt a bit small and tight. Service was also very good -- attentive and friendly throughout. Overall, a solid spot with a great atmosphere and some standout dishes.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff offered recommendations for wine or other alcoholic pairings to complement the meal, which added to the overall dining experience. The food overall was good, but the escargot was a bit underwhelming for me compared to other places I've tried it. While it wasn't bad, I was expecting a bit more in terms of flavor. For appetizers, we ordered the octopus and escargot. The octopus was easily the highlight of the night. The flavor, sauce, and texture were all amazing, and the roasted herb potatoes paired perfectly with the salsa verde and chimichurri. I would highly recommend this dish. The escargot was also very flavorful, especially if you enjoy garlic. The bread it comes with is a great touch since you can dip it into the sauce or pour the garlic butter over it. For entrées, we ordered the Atlantic salmon and the rack of lamb. The salmon tasted very fresh, but unfortunately lacked flavor. The rack of lamb -- which is considered their signature dish -- was tender, juicy, and worth trying at least once, but honestly the appetizers stood out more than the entrées for me. We also got two cocktails: the Pomegranate Margarita and the Casanova. Both were good and definitely on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend them if you enjoy sweeter drinks. Overall, I would come back mainly for the appetizers and cocktails.

You can really tell that the food and ingredients are super high quality! As for what we ordered: - Escargots (5/5), no notes - super flavorful and tasty standard escargots done right! - French onion soup (5/5): the cheese was nicely melted and the soup was rich. Classic choice, can't go wrong! - Duck confit (5/5): never had this before but oh man it was so good! The duck skin was light and crispy, not oily at all and the duck was juicy. The flavors shined throughout and the purées complimented the duck really nicely. Super balanced dish - Beef Bourguignon (4/5): I wanted to love this more but I think the wine sauce was too overpowering. The beef was fork tender and cooked really nicely but I just thought the sauce was too strong. Everything else was nice! - pistachio crème brulee (5/5): I was so surprised but this was so good!! Never had these flavors before but it was the perfect blend of light and airiness with a hint of pistachio! Service was standard, they give table bread which was good and fresh! Simply put, this is bar none some of the best French food in Los Angeles. Their Tuna Niçoise / white tuna salad is hands down the best I've had outside of France. We were immediately greeted with warm bread and sparkling water by a hostess who spoke fluent French. The broth ,white wine, celery, and onions, had a unique, delicious flavor, and the fries were perfect for dipping in mayo and ketchup. I ordered the duck prosciutto and two-cheese plate. The imported French butter was incredibly creamy and decadent. While the cheeses were high-quality and beautifully served with mustard, cornichons, and chutney, I did feel the portion was a bit small for the price. However, the flavors were so rich that I still left feeling full. We did have a small mishap where a waiter accidentally spilled water on Bart as we were leaving. They were incredibly apologetic and even sent out a complimentary macaron, which was a sweet gesture. Don't miss the French market next door--it's packed with imported cheeses, olives, and pastries. I'll definitely be back to try more~~~

This high-end hipster restaurant is tucked down a graffiti-covered alleyway downtown, on one of the blocks that somehow doesn't have that many homeless people. The entrance is unassuming and plain, which I guess is cool now? Are we over flashy? I don't know. Walking inside, you feel... nothing. The employees are all dressed in white. The restaurant is all white. It's a little bland. Near the entrance are four white upholstered chairs where you wait while your table is prepared. These chairs have seen better days. The white fabric looks like wet dogs have been sleeping and wrestling on them for years. Dirty, stained, gray. I'll stand, thanks. The prix fixe menu includes a French baguette, French butter, a summer salad, and your steak frites: a hanger steak with tarragon parsley sauce. The highlight of the meal was the bread. Soft center, crispy crust, and the butter was topped with flaky rock salt. Simple and delicious. The salad was light and bright, and by that point I was excited for the steak. I always order my steak medium. Is that right? Is that wrong? I don't know. Blood freaks me out, so I like just a little pink. The steak arrived and the presentation was a 10/10. The fries were great. Hard to mess those up. The parsley tarragon sauce was interesting at first. A flavor profile I don't think I've had before. The first bite was solid. But then came the problem: the hanger steak was tough and blood red. I had to chew it so much that I was completely over the parsley tarragon sauce before I was even halfway through the meal. The sauce also became overpowering and salty fast. The restaurant is dark, which I'm convinced is intentional so you don't notice the "medium" steak you ordered is actually rare because they have a Michelin star and apparently they know better than you. The service was fine, and my server was delightful. The restaurant clearly knows that, because they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill. And even with the gratuity already included, the receipt still has suggested tip amounts printed on it just in case you're looking to hit that magical 40% tip threshold. All in all, it was fine. If I had been served this exact steak frites while sitting in first class on a Delta Air Lines flight from LAX to JFK, 10/10. But driving an hour through Los Angeles traffic and Gotham City conditions to be greeted by dirty furniture and an okay steak? 6/10.
