The baguette is comes with helped make it filling too, but the Tajín on top was the perfect touch. Comoncy is a nice low key coffee shop if you want to do some work or just simply relax out on the patio. Can't say much for the food since I didn't order any but they do serve up some decent coffee. I have a bit of a split review for this place. Let's start with the basics - 1) Food: I've tried a few lunch things, but the only thing I would continue to order is the chicken panini. Really delicious, and the bread they serve here is amazing. Serving size is definitely on the smaller side for how much the sandwich is, I think that's the biggest downside. (Also I do believe they have breakfast options, but I have yet to try those out - I will update once I have). 2) Service - 10/10. Everyone that works here is helpful, super kind and frankly one of the reasons I would continue coming. 3) Seating - plenty of tables/ chairs/ sofa-like chairs w/ pillows. Super comfortable, and there are umbrellas for the sun. Love that aspect. Overall I would recommend this place to the employees and people who are nearby. read more

Cute little cafe/restaurant behind one of the Wilshire highrise buildings, probably catering mostly to the office buildings in the area. I was surprised to see a pretty big terrace area in the back with a cute setup. We ordered the avocado toast and egg-celent sandwich to share among the two of us. Portions were perfect for 2 people. Now let's talk egg quality... literally the most perfect poached eggs I have ever seen and had. The white was perfectly cooked and the yolk perfectly runny! They got that down so perfectly! While waiting for our passports to be completed strolled over to this great coffee shop tucked in the back so you have to look, but well worth it. The Changaccino was very good. Had the breakfast sandwich and it was outstanding as well. Located in the office building on the first floor. It is a little coffee and sandwich shop that I presume caters to those in the building. The place has a nice outdoor seating area in the back with couches and sunshades so you can enjoy the LA sun while you eat/drink. The store inside is pretty cramped with a few tables since a majority of the seating is outside. I came looking for a place to work. The place has wifi but no power outlets so hopefully you got enough juice in your devices. I got the cold brew and the soup of the day which was a "Green Soup". The cold brew was very strong and didn't taste as smooth as expected. The soup, as well, had a strong flavor of broccoli and nothing else. It came with a piece of baguette that added the needed carb for the soup and a dipping vehicle. The cafe can be a quick stop for those who need a quick coffee break but I don't think it can compete with other coffee shops. read more

The food here is a joke. I ordered the eggs tartine and got an over-cooked (chewy) egg square. My brother ordered oatmeal, and it was 90% water. Nothing like the one in Studio City, which is a FANTASTIC breakfast place. Very good lunch place convenient for lunch. I discovered it on the Ritual app so I could mobile order my food. This is probably a good thing since it takes 20 min to walk there and back out of my 30 minute lunch. The food is delicious (had the breakfast burrito a few times and the ficelle with a side of soup.) The workers are friendly too. After reading all the reviews I just had to give this place a try. I was really excited to try the avocado toast with a perfectly poached runny egg as others had reviewed. I was disappointed when I cut my egg in half on both pieces of toast and it was completely cooked ( see picture). I also tried the latte, but it felt like a cappuccino with all the extra foam. Im not sure if I just went at a bad time. I went in at 11:30 and they seemed to be busy filling a lot of lunch orders for delivery. I would want to give this place another try but I feel like $17 for okay toast and coffee was a prettty hefty price tag read more

I am a huge fan of this coffee shop :-) it's a little gem that's hidden in between the big buildings on Wilshire! But if you're able to find it, lucky you :-) first of all, the outdoor seating is wonderful. Everything is covered by a shade and there are beautiful succulents that's around the seating. The person who decorated the backyard is really talented, and the music that's selected for the outside was perfect. Very relaxing, Bossa Nova, some Latin music also, and just a nice place to go during the middle of the day. I really enjoy their coffee and they have all kinds of milk that you can add for those who are lactose intolerant. They also have wonderful small sandwiches that all look fresh and the workers seem to be very happy inside. I've been coming back to this place pretty often because I really like the atmosphere in this Cafe. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop for anyone who's looking for amazing coffee, wonderful service oh, and a beautiful backyard setting :-) read more

I did not have an exceptional experience at Comoncy. It was just average. I ordered the egg sandwich and a hot tea and I was very disappointed at my serving size especially for the price that I paid for my food. Not to mention they took an exceptionally long time to bring my friend his food and messed up his order. The environment was very well suited for the office buildings around it. They did validate parking (thank god) because it was really expensive. And they do have a wide variety of food and drink options. So excited to have something in Westwood that is this delicious and healthy, made with farmer's market produce. The Thai salad so far is my favorite, with all the attention to detail. Seasoned peanuts, ginger crisps, and jicama all balance out the flavors perfectly. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food comes out fast. They validate parking. And the chef also chatted with me today about some of his special creations, like pickled cherries and jams. I got the pickled cherries in and can't wait to try them. walked to this place from the W, about 1/2 mile. Its a little cafe in lobby of a nondiscript office building, but it opens up into a really nice outdoor space. the pics i took don't do it justice. Gourmet egg sandwich. organic eggs, bacon. and greens with scallion mayo on artesian whole grain toast with an espresso. Ingredients were fresh tasting- greens tasted like they came from a local garden, and perfectly dressed with a subtle light citrus finish. eggs and thick cut smoked bacon also organic and cooked perfectly. scallion mayo was just enough of both. I want to spread the word about this quaint, delicious breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot! It's hidden between skyscrapers and has poor signage, so don't worry if you can't find it at first. Look for the orange sign. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They have indoor seating as well as a cute patio with shady and sunny tables and couches. We experienced great service. It was my friend's birthday so she got a free pastry, which was flaky, warm, and buttery. I had the avocado toast with two poached eggs and was given a large heaping if guacamole, so considering the price I was pretty happy. The barista can make any coffee drink however you like it, so play around with the substitute milks and flavors. I ordered an iced oat milk late, which was fantastic!! Left so full. What a cute hole in the wall. I would've never known this place existed if I hadn't been scouring yelp for places to try. It's located inside an office building. I'm really impressed with the service and loved being able to sit on the patio out back and enjoy a meeting with some colleagues after a run. I got the avocado toast which comes with two poached eggs. Super yummy and has a nice crunch with the radishes. My friend got the French toast and it looks SO delicious! I also got an iced latte which was smooth and a nice to sip on outside. The wait staff were super attentive and even came outside to check if we were doing alright several times. No wait. Yet, right just about at the mouth of downtown Westwood where every place worth eating at is cramped, booked, hurried and overall stressful esp move in weekend. Hours are not favorable. Closes at 3 weekdays and no weekends. Not really a restaurant, but yet very tasty breakfast food and oddly awesome atmosphere as long as eating behind a big office tower doesn't bug you. Can't speak to the food, but the restaurant accepted and confirmed an order via a delivery service (placed over an hour before the joint was scheduled to close)-- and then closed shop (left early? posted times fail? difficult to say) and left the order undeliverable when the driver showed up for pickup. I have been to this place on several occasion . The girl that works there is just simple rude. She is very condescending and has smart remarks to make. She has no personality and is quick to jump on any questions asked. She needs to bring it down a notch with her attitude. I have no idea how she is a manger there . She needs more skills and training on customer service. By the way why don't you have sleeves for your coffee? They are extremely hot. The new guy on the other hand has better customer skills than her. I believe he just started but attempts to make the atmosphere more friendly than her . Got a notification from GrubHub at 11:30am that my order was cancelled by Comoncy, which left me scrambling to find lunch for the office. Fortunately Lemonade on Sawtelle came to the rescue. For a place in an office building, pretty decent!! Solid food options. Had an egg breakfast sandwich which was tasty and had bacon. Pastries were great and coffee was good. All around solid.
