Great place for ice cream! They have tables with umbrellas outside if you want to chill there and eat your goodies. I haven't explored their menu too much, but I saw a woman bring her dog and apparently they serve doggie sundaes. Too cute! I've been here about 4 times and have always chosen a waffle cone for my ice cream. I was pretty basic and stuck with my favorite ice cream flavor the other times I've gone: chocolate chip cookie dough. Theirs is amazing!!! Their serving portions are huge. The small cone is 2 scoops. Today after dinner, we were wondering if they were open since it was already 8pm. HA! Their drive-thru line was about 10 cars deep!! I love it. I've had ice cream from here but it's not my go to and I'll tell you why. The ice cream is good but not like exceptional. 1-We live in Houston and it's usually hot more than cold and I'm not a fan of sitting under the sun outside eating my ice cream in a hurry before it melts all over my hands. I try to be understanding and don't base my reviews on customer service or on other trivial things, unless it affects the quality of food. I went here twice to make sure my first experience wasn't just an off day, but my experience turned out to be the same. The ice cream here is too soft when served and starts melting as soon as they hand it to you. The staff is nice, but they are incredibly LAZY and always take shortcuts- which I guess you can't expect much different when it's made up of high schoolers. They should be taught better work ethic. When I ordered an M&M Blast, the workers didn't even bother to mix in my toppings and just left a pile of them sitting on top. When I came back, I got a Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae and instead of putting vanilla ice cream like I wanted, they just used their "Blast" vanilla (which is basically like soft serve). I went to Brusters the other day. Whenever I was served Trenton came up to the window. He had amazing service and acted diligently. He preformed to scoop the ice cream at flash speed and handed me the scrumptious delicious delectable ice cream. As he handed me the ice cream, he smiled with a sincere white grin. The ice cream was thick and creamy. It wasn't too soft or melt too fast, and the waffle cone held up well, so I was able to enjoy my ice cream. As for thoughts on the flavor, I liked my white raspberry truffle. It had a strong raspberry flavor, and I wish that there was a bit more chocolate than was included, but it was nice! My sister's sea salt caramel was good as well, but the caramel came on a bit too strong towards the final stretch. Service was fast and friendly. Please re-educate your staff on the severity and reality of peanut allergies. On Saturday 4/15/23 I took my kids to enjoy great ice cream from Bruster's. I orders 2 blast... one with recess peanut butter cup and the other with brownie bites. The staff mixed the ice cream then forgot which one was which. I even informed the lady at the window of the peanut allergy. I could see in the back ground that they were working on the two blast and scooping out ice cream to see which one was which. When the lady handed me the ice cream blast I again remind her that there was a peanut allergy and she said the orders were correct. Basically, what they did was the topped off the wrong blast and my son began eating the brownie blast since it was topped off with that then when he got to the body of the cup realized that it was the recess peanut butter cup one.. the other blast was the exact reverse... of course proceeded to drive home and administer antihistamine and watch for anaphylactic symptoms. Just re-educate staff please. Most teens have no idea how severe this could have been. read more

Great place for good ice cream. Can't wait to get me a banana split. July 20 update. A two-star deduction based on a third visit. They were quite busy, so I had to wait quite a while for my order. Call me old-school, and I will proudly take it. I expect to be greeted cordially in a drive thru and I expect to be thanked for bringing my business. Neither occurred on this trip. I very much wish that I would have saved my money. PROS: * The attendant was friendly and patient as my co-worker and I decided what to try. * The amount of mix-ins in the Blast was quite a lot (so we thought) CONS: * The ice cream in the Blast is not homemade, it appeared to taste more like bland frozen yogurt. * The pricing is quite high. $4.99 for a 16oz Blast seemed a bit steep. * The Blast advertised as a 16oz was delivered in a 12oz cup. * The ice cream began melting in less than 30 seconds in an air conditioned vehicle and was completely liquefied in approximately 5 minutes. * After getting through the first 1/4 of the dessert, the mix-ins completely disappeared. They had been situated on top and not mixed throughout the cup. My co-worker and I both got Blasts and perhaps would have liked another item from this place but I suppose we will never know. Pretty bland compared to other specialty ice cream shops in the same price range. It does match well with the presentation, though - it's a small-ish building with walk-up windows.
