I have bigger fish to fry
Gerard Y.

So what if it was a thursday night, it was a chill bar/restaurant to be at. The layout of the restaurant is nice. There's the bar area, of course, then in the middle is "bar-style" (for a lack of a better word) type seating and then booth seating at the other side. Hidden towards the end of the building where there's an "exit" sign is a lounge area full of couches on the wall. Just a nice place to sit and listen to the music. I don't know if they play underground hip-hop every night, but there were playing some tunes like that which I like very much. Even heard a Jurassic 5 track! At the bar area there are two televisions set to sports channels so you can watch the game while you drink away. I ordered the spicy calamari which was pretty good. I saw good amount of good looking women there so I don't think this is a gay bar by any chance... edit 5/3: too bad they dont make 'liquid cocaines'...

Loved the bottle service

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!! Honestly I picked this spot due to the fact that it's a bar/lounge with a live dj and close to home. Trying to figure out a spot to celebrate the big 3-1 was a headache because half of my friends are big lounging drinkers and the other half, wild drinkers who love to shake what their mama or daddy gave them. I was contacted promptly by Chris after emailing the business about booking a table for my event. It was definitely nice to have someone get back to me quickly and efficiently. We went over prices, details and the event was booked!! *A large booth for the night of Sat, January 27* Upon arriving for the event (no waiting in line as promised by Chris because we're vip!!) my girls and I were greeted by Chris, led through the front door, right pass security, into the main floor and right to our large booth. The large booth area consists of one large comfy couch right next to the dj booth, a bottle of our choice (they have a wide selection, just ask your host), unlimited juice/soda (up to 3 choices) and glassware. Music was on point all night (it was a range of new and old school r&b and hip hop), the dj was amazing and knew what he was doing to hype up the crowds. The bartenders don't skimp on the alcohol. (So if you're a 1, 2, 3, floor type of drinker I suggest you make sure to tell the bartender exactly how you like your drink). The staff and security took very well care of us in making sure we were enjoying our night. I do have to say I LOVED that there was a diversity amongst the crowds; from your freshly young 21yrs olds to uncles/aunties getting down on the dance floor, from your wallflowers to your wild drinkers. Bruno's atmosphere shows you exactly what's like to be a Frisco native. It was a beautiful feeling to see everyone having a time of their lives and having the courtesy to apologize if they accidently step on your pedicured toes Overall it was an amazing night and the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!! Thank you to Chris, the staff and security for having us!! We definitely will be back!! *I would recommend reserving a table if you're more of a lounging drinker or have a big crowd with you for the night as it tends to get busy as the night comes to an end. *Please sign up on the guest list for any event; free before 11pm *5+ stars if I could but yelp only allows 5

Up in the private room, next to what looks like the "champagne room".

Came here on a Saturday night. Not sure if they have the same DJ on Friday nights too or not. They have 2 stories. We had the upper level for a private event. We even brought our own DJ. Went downstairs a few times. the DJ there was kickin too. It can get crowded just like another other place. But at least there is a parking lot on the same block. Street parking here is next to impossible, even if you time it right. The upstairs and downstairs have a sort of split personality. Upstairs, it could have been a former strip club room for all I know. Heck, maybe it used to be. Tiger print carpet, 2 stripper poles, and the beams that are adjacent to the poles are padded. I think I saw more guys on the pole than girls. That was a shame, but hilarious! There is a huge bar downstairs, and a smaller one upstairs. That is fine, as upstairs just isn't nearly as big. Also upstairs is a side room that looks like it could have been the Champagne room. Downstairs looks like its been updated. It has a typical SF bar feel. Or at least one that has been remodeled in the past 3 years. They tend to look the same and have the same vibe to me. There is a decent sized dance floor, and there is another good sized bar on that side. Drinks are not cheap, but they are not expensive either. Its about average for the city and this part of town. ~$10 for a mixed drink or a shot of patron.

mango mojito

Bruno's is the place to be for some well-made cocktails and for dancing the night away. Weekends get pretty crowded so try to arrive early...get in before 10pm to avoid the $10 cover! - LOVE their lychee pineapple martini and mango mojito (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/dHvxFvQxbfOuc6Y3Q4foAg?select=qI-Il16dVdv_NFaR-ZaW4Q) - the dance floor/ DJ are in a separate room but the music is always better in the bar area for some reason - bar stools are available in the middle of the main room if you want to just relax and chat - usually a mixed crowd but beware of the creepy guys! Expect fun times at Bruno's if it isn't too busy and the music is good enough to dance to! Could be hit or miss though.

The pussycat lounge- complete with stripper poles and private bar tender!

The escape room is Alice In Wonderland themed and includes three drinks as part of the experience. Arrived on time for our reservation but were held in a waiting room for about 30 min before we could start. Didn't seem like anyone else was doing the escape room but it was also the week of their biz anniversary so maybe they were just super busy. Phoenix led our escape room and was such a delight. Friendly, great banter, helpful throughout the escape. The escape game is split across multiple rooms with a good diversity of puzzles. Don't want to spoil too much here but they were good challenges. Drinks we incorporated throughout and presented like test tubes that were drinkable in a gulp, kind of like a cocktail shot. Personally, I found the first two drinks to be a bit too sweet, but I liked the third, which was coconut forward. The price is definitely a bit more costly. It was $100/person for a party of five. I understand that it was an escape room + the staff + the cocktails. If you max out the party size, it's about $85-ish per person which I think is pretty solid. Still very unique and fun and glad I got to try it

This place has so much going on. It makes it ideal for so many different things. Hot day? Want to bring your doggie?? They have an airy patio and a bunch of cute tables out front. Need a cool place for a dinner date? There's tables inside. Have a group? Also not a problem. Feeling peckish and just need to get out of the house? Go sit at the bar, order a beer, and watch the game. Make sure to order the thrasher fries with malt vinegar salt and pepper and Dijon and black pepper aïoli. It is truly as delectable as it sounds, and by far my favorite thing there! That being said, I am a french fry aficionado. We also tried the coconut chicken sandwich which I found to be a bit different than a lot of standard fried chicken sandwiches. I did ask for the chili sauce on the side because I don't like it to be too sweet. Boyfriend loved it with the chili sauce. I liked it without. I did order a side of aïoli. Another thing I found really nice was that they use the chicken thigh rather than the breast. Most of the fried chicken sandwiches I've had use the breast and this was a very nice change. The chicken was juicy and the sandwich was super tasty. They offer all sorts of tasty delights, like fish tacos, mochicko chicken bites, mac & cheese with or without bacon and crab! Yum. If I was to make one recommendation, it would be to add another salad to the menu. Your menu offers a wonderful variety of delicious treats that are on the richer and heavier side so having another option for something on the lighter side would be fantastic. The service here was outstanding. We came early on a Tuesday, and the bartender was great. She was very helpful and excellent at her craft. The other staff members were equally friendly and so welcoming. We don't get out as much as we'd like to anymore because we have a little one so it was awesome to go out and be treated with such kindness and great hospitality. Something was really off with the timing and service. First of all, we arrive at 6:30 pm, along with maybe 6 other groups who also have reservations. There is one hostess who checks everyone's IDs and it takes like 5 mins per party to get seated so this takes about 15 minutes before we can even sit down (with a reservation). It was a really weird and not well thought out beginning with everyone crowding into the lobby. Why don't they have more hostesses, or someone else checking IDs, or just move more quickly, or have staggered seating times? The chicken wings were absolutely delicious but it's so weird they don't give you a towel or wet wipes afterward for your sticky hands (I read the chronicle review and apparently they used to do this so not sure why not any more). Then we asked them to send the burger after our donburi and wings and there was a very long wait in between so they were really not on top of things. It feels like they have Michelin aspirations and it's so beautiful and showy, and the food was truly delicious. The service was polite. But it's expensive ($250 for two people with drinks but sharing 3 small dishes), and the timing and initial wait to sit was extremely off putting. I own a bar and wouldn't want my guests having this experience. Edited to add that my husband was appalled at the wasteful amount of cheese that is poured onto the burger plate.... It's delicious but no way anyone is eating that much cheese and it's not something you're going to take home. Now, this is more of his thing but I see what he means. The sizzling plate could be smaller and have less food waste (also better for the restaurants profits!).
