We stopped in to find friendly faces in a chill coffeehouse vibe. Francesca the owner was warm and inviting. We also met Eric, the manager who was cool and welcoming as well. We happened to stop in when they were filming a segment for Laugh SF with comedian Larry Beyah, who is hilarious and so fun (ig handle @heishysterical). The space is unique and huge with lots of colorful and eclectic art. The owner emphasized their support for the art community, including Music, dance, comedy! We will be back along with friends and hope to have a Community dance class there! Susan and Kerry aka the Funky Bees

They are killing it out there and I'm so happy to see a show dedicated to our beautiful city. Each time I've come by I just have gotten a tea or a glass of wine. I recommend to come early to settle in, write your letter, and get your order in before the show. Everyone comes all at once at 7:25 PM and it's a bit of a mad rush. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more My friends and I came here to celebrate my boyfriend's little sister's 25th birthday around 12:40 a.m. on 8/1/26, and the night was ruined within minutes. Our first stop was the upstairs restroom by the stairs. The bar was busy, but the first floor wasn't overcrowded. To give some context, the restroom is located right next to the staircase. I was waiting in line, and my boyfriend's little sister was standing only a few feet away from me. The stairs were not blocked. A man suddenly walked up to her and immediately screamed in her face, "You need to move. You can't block the stairs." She stepped over. Instead of leaving it at that, he got even closer to her face and yelled, "YOU NEED TO MOVE UP OR DOWN." Like most people would, she defended herself after having a stranger scream inches from her face. She responded, "Okay then go. I'm not blocking you." He continued hovering over her, repeatedly shouting, "UP OR DOWN." She replied, "Stop telling me to move. You move!" That's when he yelled, "THIS IS MY PLACE. GTFO," grabbed her aggressively by the arm, and forcibly dragged her out. This all happened within about 10 minutes of us arriving. The man was wearing a fitted hat with a black tee. Had a tatted colored sleeve with some green. I'm not sure if he was the owner or the manager, but I've never seen someone with such a short temper treat a customer this way. If there had been a misunderstanding, all he had to do was calmly identify himself as staff and explain what he needed. Instead, he escalated the situation from the very beginning by screaming in her face and then physically removing her after she responded to being yelled at. No man should put his hands on a woman with that kind of force, especially when she was not being physically aggressive or threatening anyone. She never touched him. She only defended herself verbally after being screamed at. As a result, she was left with visible marks on her arm. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. No customer should be treated this way. We came to celebrate a birthday, and instead watched someone abuse their authority and turn a simple misunderstanding into a physical confrontation. I hope management takes this seriously because no one should have to worry about being manhandled over something that could have been resolved with a calm conversation.

I went to see a show " Italiani Veri "  last night. Fabulous cabaret-type show with performer Arianna. She's a true (veri) Italian from Milan who sang, danced and explained Italian culture as part of the entertainment. She has an amazing voice! She could have been a finalist at the San Remo Music Festival - the most famous singing festival in Italy. She fessed up saying she had been an Italian Mouseketeer! The venue has a bar/lounge to enjoy cocktails then a few steps down further is the theater. You need to be mobile since there are a lot of steps. Seating is first come-first serve. I have to admit that seating is quite tight. You are shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors. Get cozy folks. They typically have magic shows here! If you want to see a historic night club, this would be the venue to come to and enjoy a show. Italiani Veri show was a real treat! Highly recommend it!

The concept of battle of the decades is great too! Each hour is a different decade of music, starting with the 60's. From the moment we stepped in, the Irish-accented bartender welcomed us like family. Not the good kind--more like the redheaded stepchildren who show up unannounced but are getting fed anyway. She didn't just serve drinks--she gathered us. There's a real sense that if things got cold outside, she'd tuck the whole bar into her metaphorical bosom, hand out shots of Fernet and tell us we're doing just fine in life (even if we clearly are not). And then there's the other bartender, who looks a lot like Gavin Newsom. So slick, composed and somehow making even a simple pour feel like a well-managed state operation. If he started giving policy updates between rounds, I wouldn't have even questioned it. Drinks were strong, vibes were stronger and by the end of the night we felt sure we'd been there our whole lives. Five stars for the Guinness, six stars for the bartenders and seven stars for the full emotional dependency formed somewhere between rounds two and three.

I had visited once last year for St. Patrick's day and had a lovely time. This time, I left before I even ordered a drink. This bar offers live music which drew an insanely large crowd. They definitely let far too many people into the building. We were tightly packed in there like a bunch of sardines. We finally pushed our way to the bar (which we thought was a tad emptier) in the back. Unfortunately we were wrong. We waited at the bar for about 10 minutes waiting for the bartender to get to us. We believed the bartender was extremely drunk. He was slurring his words and dropping things on the underbar. He completely ignored us (or was too drunk to even realize we were there). Eventually we got fed up and just left. As we were on our way out, the bartender literally waved goodbye to us! Although I would give them bonus points for having The Rookie playing on the TVs, this was all around a bizarre experience and I am not as inclined to revisit.
