The hipster girl wouldn't serve me a drink! I had a dress shirt on, so it must've yelled tech bro. If the owner doesn't fire the female bartender who worked here tonight on June 17th, 2019 -Monday at 9:30pm, then you'll probably be out of business by September. Godspeed.

Horrible bartender, very rude. Don't go here. Consistently making rude remarks to questions asked.

I am writing this review thoughtfully and with humility…read more I visited this establishment as a paying customer, a lifelong San Francisco native, and someone who has lived and served in the Bayview-Hunters Point community my entire life. I came in good faith to support a Black-owned business during the 49ers game with my family and community. Unfortunately, before my family arrived, I was treated dismissively. Basic questions about wine pricing were avoided, pricing was inconsistent between servers, and transparency was lacking. Food quality and portions were also inconsistent compared to others at my own table ordering the same items. What saddened me most was the noticeable shift in attitude once my Samoan family arrived. Service suddenly became attentive and respectful. No customer should ever feel that respect is conditional. I returned the following day to address this privately and respectfully. The owner chose not to speak with me and instead directed employees to handle the matter. That was deeply disappointing. I advocate for unity in our community. We are a thriving but still underserved area, facing real disparities and in need of resources and opportunity. Businesses operating here should uplift people, not dismiss them--especially those they do not know. This experience left me feeling sad, not angry. Sad that in a community that needs healing and solidarity, discrimination and lack of class still show up in spaces meant to bring people together. I hope this review encourages reflection, accountability, and better treatment of all customers--because respect should never be selective.

Used to serve anything that's both American and Italian, until Vanessa had made it into a family run small business restaurant which was absolutely welcoming for both locals and tourists alike since 2004. It's the only reason I come to 7 Mile House during Asian History Month that aims for Filipino fun. My specialty drink: Ube Colada (non-alcoholic). I want to try the Lambanóg, but it's few years late and I wouldn't mind since I prefer any drink that's zero proof. This creamy purple smoothie is so refreshing, I wouldn't mind getting a brain freeze. Main course? Actually, I take something out of the lunch menu, which is Beyond Burger; pickles at the top, lettuce, tomato, and cheese; old school American style with a plant based patty! I eat the fries first since they're fresh and chewy. Wish I stick around for an appetizer or a salad; but given that there's several people dining indoors while few of us outdoors, I'll have to pass. Before I walk a couple of blocks toward 7 Mile House, I noticed the gas prices for both gas stations are just as high as near my neighborhood. I'll be wondering how long will a famous family run restaurant can go an extra mile before it runs out of steam. My best bet is that we must support each other as local communities, just like how the 7 Mile House of today had kept us together for generations.

Arrived about an hour after opening and immediately loved the interior! From the bricks to the orange cushioned bench seating to the nostalgic movies playing in the rear seating area's background, and the picnic tables on the patio, this place knows how to decorate! The sandwich, waffle fries side, salad, and cocktail totaled $60 and filled us up. Really crispy fries and awesome crispy edges to the smash burger! The salad left something to be desired despite a large portion size. I think I'll ask for dressing on the side if I order that item again. I did have to get up a couple times to close the door, but the staff caught on and paid attention to when it was ajar. The servers were friendly and checked on us three or four times but didn't try to convince us to order more, which was appreciated. Apparently Tuesdays are trivia nights 7-9 and it looks like a lively, friendly yet competitive crowd. Will definitely return one week to test my Jeopardy seasoned trivia knowledge. I would recommend this place!

I got the smash burger (added a fried egg) with fries and let me say this is one of the best smash burgers I have had in a long time. The flavor has good slices with some added pickled veggies. The ginger was interesting on a burger, but paired greatly. The cheese was melted perfectly the burger was juicy and succulent, and the bun stayed crisp on the skin layer and did not get soggy from the juices. The staff were friendly and held great banter. When we arrived from an unassuming front the inside is beautiful - spacious, lovely bar to the right but plenty of tables for dining. The outdoor space is no less gracious - plenty of tables, heaters if you need them and great for parties of two up to maybe six. But what really grabbed me was the staff - every single person I dealt with felt like an old friend and welcomed me like I've been there 1 million times before. I commented that I wish they had a place like this in our neighborhood and the server agreed! Every neighborhood needs one! Food and drink. Whatever you want to drink they probably have it. Beer, wine, spirits, not alcoholic, Coffee, Tea, spritzers - I couldn't decide between the cider and the sake but since it was early in the day I went for the cider. And if you like food this is the place to be. (I'm starting to feel like Stefon from SNL.) this place has everything. Popcorn chicken, waffles, steak, bacon eggs, vegan dishes, the best scallion pancakes ever and a bunch of other things for brunch. I definitely want to go back for dinner to have the noodles and the ribeye. You really can't go wrong at this place. Lovely people, lovely place and if you are not too chef from brunch or dinner, there's a great panaderia a couple of doors down... but really don't bother to save room for a pastry, you will be nice and full from your meal at the rabbit hole.
