This place has gone down hill since I was in grade school- I'm 40's now..gulp. The food quality sucks, the Brunner family doesn't care because they are pretty wealthy, and it's run by high school kids. It was a always a treat to order for 15? Years whenever I come to visit my parents in Boston.. but our families orders have been screwed up THE LAST 5 TIMES. For example, my turkey club sub, with everything, baked- didn't have any oil and mayo I requested, nor was it baked (x2 identical subs). 8 high school kids behind the counter talking, yelling, and chilling out wasting time, ignoring counter customers. Then they all went on break together while we waited around for our food like idiots! Our pizza wasn't cooked completely, it was doughy. No accountability, crap service, deteriorating food quality. Do yourself a favor and skip this dump that was decent maybe 10 years ago. Bella Pizza is around the corner, do yourself a favor and go there! This is the best and most affordable pizza in the Hamburg area. We have eaten here many many times and we are always pleased. Our order is consistenttakeout and accurate. The staff is always patient and kind. We have ordered take out - where they have a drive-thru - yes you are reading that right. This gives this place extra points for when I want pizza, have my small kids in the car, and don't want to pay for delivery. We have also eaten in this restaurant. It's decorated really cutely with a sky theme painted on the ceiling. After a certain time of night, they switch the lights so it looks like nighttime. They also offer ice cream! It makes for a fun time, pizza and ice cream in one restaurant seem unheard of and like it's not allowed, but Brunners does it and theyconsistent takeout do so really well. I shouldve known when i pulled up, and felt as if I was inconveniencing the girl that was cleaning. Came off as miserable, but whatever I'm hungry. Plated up my girlfriends plain chicken finger sub, an outline of cheese, no mayo, and the rest just look beat. 3 strikes, and then to top it off, the roll was burnt. Then the kicker is, tons of onions. My mild chicken finger sub was burnt as well. Same cheese outline. Same lack of mayo. Same sloppy mess, right out of the wrapper. I drove 10 minutes each way to give $25 for these 2 messes and a baby-sized 8" garlic bread for $5? All 4 bites? I do my best to patronize local businesses but to spend my money on this, when all I've eaten was some grapes, is embarassing to me and leaves me hungry, with a lingering burnt taste, ruined my date with my girlfriend, and pissed. A little pride in the job, and for the people, really shows. Not a damn was given from start to miserable finish. Will not return. I don't prefer piss poor service, or food. read more

I'm very disappointed in Brunner's. Three time I have ordered wings and asked for them to be extra chrispy. They never come the way I order them. This last time I finally called and made a complaint and was told I would get a credit, but the owner had review it. Well I spent Around forty dollars for a large cheese and pepperoni pizza and 10 wings special and the owner gives me a two dollar credit. That doesn't even buy a slice of pizza. Tonight I order a Personal chicken cheddar pizza. And again it was wrong. This time, it was some other type of personal pizza with mozzarella. So I did call and complain and they told me that they would give me a credit. But the owner once again has to review it. What's he gonna do this time? Give me 50 cents for $10 pizza. We work hard for our money and this owner.Just wants to rob all of his customers. So I am going to take my business to Bella's pizzeria which is right around the corner. I would not recommend this place to anybody because the owner does not care about his customers. read more

I've been recently coming to brunners consistently. The staff up front are amazing. No matter how busy it is the girls always put a smile on mine and their own face to get through it. I've seen some very rude customers and I just have to give it to them for handling situations so well and polite. All they want to do is help everyone and make sure all is good. read more

Pizza is great here. Crust is hardly greasy or chewy, sauce isn't overwhelming sweet. Never disappointed.

A few of my co-workers asked me to come to lunch with them at Brunner's recently. This is your typical WNY pizza/sub/chicken wing place. While they may very well have delicious food, they have no options for vegans and very few for vegetarians. I love how non-vegetarians think all we want to do is eat salad when we go to a restaurant. Well, it's not true! We like variety and don't want to get stuck eating half a head of nutritionally defunct iceberg lettuce with a few unripe tomatoes thrown on top. Ok, stepping off my soapbox now. Two of my co-workers ordered the greek wrap and enjoyed it, although they did complain it was wrapped horribly and both ended up eating it with a fork instead. Another coworker ordered a beef taco but wouldn't recommend it. She said it was a little greasy and lacked flavor. Since my only option was the aforementioned salad, I decided to try the shrimp as I eat seafood every once in a while. It took about 15 minutes to place my order because the girl at the counter and the cooks that day had no idea what ingredients were in the food they serve. The potato salad apparently comes "pre-made" and with no label, so they couldn't tell me if there was dairy in it. No one was sure about the coleslaw until after several minutes one of the kitchen workers found a label and confirmed there was no dairy. My lunch arrived on a huge plate almost completely filled with french fries. There were 8 of the tiniest shrimp I've ever seen hidden among the fries, a small scoop of slaw, and a roll (with butter). The fries were overly salty, the shrimp was over cooked and rubbery, the slaw was tasteless. The worst part was I felt sick the rest of the day and night and think there may have been dairy in something even though they told me it was dairy-free. read more

Well.. smallest chicken fingers I ever got. We normally order from Bella but wanted a change and yeah not again. Last time I ordered months ago my wings were soggy too. Had to put them in the oven and they were not good. To the comment from what I'm assuming by bill b (probably a Brunner) saying my photo wasn't from Brunner's, I'm a 30 year army wife old mother of 3 I'm not pretending my food was from here. We ate here on a Saturday evening while in the area. It was pretty busy both inside and the takeout area (theres a drive thru for pick ups!). It seemed a lot of people were picking up pizzas to go. We didn't try the pizza but the slices at the counter looked good. You order your food at the counter and then seat yourself at a booth or the counter and wait for the servers to bring your food out. They serve bottled beer, fountain drinks, a huge menu, and it looked like they had an ice cream machine so they have a little bit of everything depending on your mood. We had the chicken fingers, regular fries, sweet potato fries, and pulled pork sandwich. Everything was delicious but the presentation of the sandwich was a little disappointing--the sandwich came out in a basket with a few potato chips (mostly crumbs from the end of the bag), no pickle, and no option to upgrade to a side other than the chips. Glad I ordered a side of fries but too bad the sandwiches don't come with that option. read more

I grew up on Brunner's and you really can't get any better as far as true "Buffalo" cuisine goes. Pizza and wings are awesome, and the Royal Sub (Capocolla and Sausage) gets me every time. They also have the best subs in town, especially the Baron Bomber which I have tried to recreate since moving back to California, but it is never the same. Absolutely great, and great people own it.
