I really like this brunch restaurant. We went on a hot summer day and overall thoroughly enjoyed my meal, the service, and the ambiance. The menu had pretty good options to try but I ended up going with the chicken and waffles, it was so good. The chicken crispy and white meat, just the way I like it. The waffles as well...yum. Portions were kind of small but I prefer good quality over portion/size. They were also super accommodating for our allergy request. Unfortunately it was the summer so it was hot outside and their cooling system was not sufficient to keep the restaurant cool. That was the only downside that I hope they address before summer comes around again. But I look forward to going again to consume their delicious menu.

I made reservations to dine here on black Friday for a large party of 10; my entire party was late but in we weee still able to be accommodated as there weren't many other patrons in the restaurant when my entire party arrived. After we were all seated our waitress, Jay, came to greet us and take our orders. For starters, I ordered crab cake egg rolls and my sister ordered the avocado toast with smoked salmon - my oh my, both were very delicious! The crab egg rolls were perfectly crisp on the outside and flavorful throughout; the avocado toast was well seasoned and the smoked salmon was sliced to perfection and not overwhelming (sadly, I didn't get a picture of this). For our entrees my sister ordered steak and eggs and I ordered chicken and waffles; my sister said her steak was too salty but she did enjoy her home fries) and my chicken and waffles were absolutely delightful. I recommend that others try and I will definitely return... Note to prospective patrons: they don't serve egg whites - this was kind of a bummer for my sis and I because this is what we prefer however, as you can see above we did find other options.

First I want to say the customer service was excellent, that that alone I would come again. The omelette and breakfast fries were good. The fish was not fried very well which was very unfortunate. I didn't eat much other fish, it was more soggy that crisp. The fried grease smells very strong so don't plan to stay for too long.

I had a chance to visit this black owned business in downtown Philadelphia on a Sunday morning for brunch. My only recommendation is to Uber or make sure you have parking plans. There is no where to park in the area. If you can figure that out then you are in store for a really good breakfast. I loved the Sunday morning vibe and how friendly the staff was. We were seated right away. My only reason for giving 3 stars was because I felt like parts of the ordering and getting our drinks/food took a bit longer than usual. This restaurant is BYOB but has a great selection of mocktails to order from. My blueberry inspired Mocktail was delicious and had a sugar rim on the glass. For breakfast we ordered a traditional egg plate that Include it over medium eggs beef bacon home fries and a side stack of pancakes. We also ordered the salmon BLT which came with fries. Impressive part about the meal was that the beef bacon was delicious. The restaurant does not serve pork products. Also, the pancakes and well seasoned french fries were very good. I'd definitely like to come back and try other items on the menu. For three drinks and two meals the total price was about $76.

My fiancé and I have been wanting to try Brunch N for a while and finally decided to try it over the weekend. It was a huge disappointment! Initially, we were greeted and seated right away when we walked in and they seemed friendly. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and my fiancé ordered the Cheesesteak Omelette. We got the food in a reasonable amount of time and didn't have to wait long, however, when my fiancé went to eat the Cheesesteak Omelette he was immediately confused...there was no steak OR cheese in the omelette? We were able to pick out a few small pieces but were shocked that it wasn't the focal point of the dish. No one came to check on us after we got our food so I had to wave a different waitress down to ask what the issue was. When we questioned the lack of meat in the omelette, she said she would have the kitchen make a new one. No explanation or apology was given. My shrimp and grits wasn't bad, but it definitely lacked flavor. Now on to ambiance - it's lacking. Paint coming off the walls, no ventilation so you leave smelling like the kitchen, hot and stuffy. We weren't feeling the vibe or the food and the people behind us had their food sent back and actually ended up leaving because they were dissatisfied as well.

What a neighborhood gem! My family is staying nearby and when we looked up the menu we knew we had to give this place a try. The staff were super friendly and we were seated immediately. It did take a bit to get our food, but I think it was the worth the wait. The iced white chocolate coffee was the perfect treat and super refreshing. My mom and I split the hazelnut cream pancakes and Philly cheesesteak omelette. Both were so delicious, and I will be dreaming about those pancakes for the rest of the week. The only downside is they were out of quite a few items, but we still left super full and satisfied. The restaurant filled up pretty fast so I'd suggest getting there right when they open like we did. Can't wait to come back!

Showed up a little after they open at 10am and the door was locked but we were eventually let in. The inside of the place is quite cute and they have a lot of intriguing menu options. Prices were pretty standard but given the prices, I would've expected larger portions. It was enough food for a meal, but not leftovers. Both the peach cobbler stuffed French toast and meat lovers omelette were delicious. And their iced lattes with whipped cream were sweet treats! They could've been a bit more transparent though... I didn't realize until the check came that they charged us for adding cheese to our omelette. Brunch N isn't located in the nicest of areas in Philly, but the servers were very nice and checked on us several times to see how we were doing. Overall, I wouldn't mind going back but there are plenty of comparable or better brunch places in Philly.

This is a small Brunch spot that will let you bring your own wine, as they don't serve alcohol. The shrimp in the shrimp & grits was well seasoned and flavorful. I'd recommend getting the grits with cheese. The Belgium waffle was sweet and tasty- didn't need any added syrup. Friendly staff and great music rounded out the experience. You have to wait outside for a table because there isn't enough room inside.

I'm really sad that I have to write this review because I was hoping that they would exceed my expectations. Let's start with the positives. Pros: Staff was very friendly Interior was beautiful Turkey & Beef bacon was good and cooked well. Cons: We had the crab cakes egg rolls for an appetizer it wasn't the best. The consistency was more runny and wet. My partner had the coffee and he barely drank it he was very disappointed with it. He ordered pancakes and it was oily and had a weird taste. I ordered the peach and cream it was good but I think the presentation could've been much better. I was expecting more peach toppings. The powdered eggs were disgusting....I know eggs are expensive but please let your customer's know before serving them. I would've declined. My partner said he never felt so embarrassed eating at a restaurant before. I really had high hopes for this restaurant. Sadly I won't be back nor recommend this place to any friends and family.

This new black owed brunch spot has a cute little vibe inside. My date and I were seated quickly. I ordered the fish and grits that was really good and a large portion. It is BYOB so I brought a bottle of Prosecco to go with orange juice. The only downside is that they charge you $20 for each bottle that you bring

    Tiffany J.

Went here with my nephew for his birthday! It has a diner type feel: very quaint & cozy! It is byob, but I enjoyed the iced coffee and the peach lemonade was excellent as well! We got chicken and waffles and the lobster Benedict: the kid enjoyed his chicken and waffles, I enjoyed the lobster Benedict, although it wasn't very heavy on the hollandaise if you're wanting that (I was not, and I told the waitress I wasn't, so, it was just right for me). Service isn't super fast, but this isn't a fast food restaurant! Overall, it's a nice place: check them out!

This small and black-owned Brunch spot in Philly is definitely the place to go if you are looking for great vibes, service, and food. This is a fairly new business, but despite this, the hosts, line cooks, and servers were quick on their feet and polite from the jump. The menu has many options, and they are constantly remodeling their menu as they continuously add delicious new menu items for customers. I ordered the chicken and grits and the french toast. If you like cheesy, the grits are definitely for you, but they were a bit too rich for me. The grits to cheese/cream ratio had to be 20:300. Nonetheless, it was packing flavor but was a bit much for me. The french toast was a classic, as usual, with fresh strawberries and whip creme. Compared to other brunch spots in Philly, this place is reasonably priced. I would 10/10 recommend.

I've always heard of chicken and waffles, but have never tried it. This was my choice. I chose wisely. The boneless fried chicken breast was light and delicate and not greasy. The slaw was not too dry or runny with sauce. The candied jalapeño peppers should have been more plentiful on top, but I liked the slices I got. The waffle, although not crunchy or crispy, and actually a little mushed, had outstanding flavor and surprisingly complemented the chicken and slaw. I was blown away how good it was and a decent sized portion. They have others like an Italian, and a Vietnamese version of waffles with stuff. Additionally, that have the sweet waffles with fruit toppings. This was a definite 5-star lunch today! $12 for the fried chicken and waffles. I posted a picture of it and the menu with the prices of the day.

I wish there was a way to call in the order beforehand and pick it up. They do take credit cards, with a $0.50 fee. I would def try it again, but would be prepared for the long wait.

Upon arrival, I learned that the Patchwork Restaurant & Bar is where the happy hour specials, dinner options, and in the morning, breakfast takes place. I enjoyed the food and service during my visit for breakfast before heading back to the airport the next day. The Patchwork Philly has a restaurant, a bar, and a market. The restaurant includes breakfast, brunch, dinner, bar-cocktail, happy hour, and dessert. The happy hour menu is only valid at the bar. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM. They serve omelettes (Denver, Egg White, and Patchwork omelets), sweets (yoghurt parfait, ricotta pancakes, and steelcut oatmeal), savory dishes (Italian-inspired breakfast plate, eggs benedio, croissant sandwich), drinks, sides, and the breakfast buffet with chef's daily selections including coffee and tea. The buffet was great! It included fruits (dried and fresh), breads, meats, eggs, and so much more. And even better, for those with Hyatt Globalist status, you get a free breakfast at Patchwork Philly! You can learn more about Patchwork Philly at https://patchworkphilly.com including menus, reservations, events & private dining, information about the chef, a photo gallery, and social media links. They are open for breakfast on weekdays from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Brunch is on the weekends from 7 AM to 12 Noon. Dinner is Sunday through Thursday from 5 PM to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 10 PM. The bar is open on Sunday through Thursday from 4 PM to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 4 PM to 11 PM. Happy hour is weekdays from 4 PM to 6 PM and includes discounted dishes from parmesan fries, arancini, shrimp cocktail, and a burger and beer vibe combo. Bar snacks include olives, spiced nuts, popcorn duo, and onion dip. I'd assume there are happy hour drink specials, too. The quick service and tasty food made Patchwork Philly a great food option at the Hyatt Centric, and if I stay there again, I'll jump at eating again at Patchwork Philly!

That was my favorite part, how interesting walking through each room was. Unfortunately, the service and food were problematic. We had a group, not huge by any means, but the group gratuity became an annoyance following the service. Most importantly, multiple people in the table were served undercooked fish--the inside of their salmon was completely raw. One of these guests also had a severe allergy, and was still given plates with that allergen after alerting the server multiple times. One of the pomegranate margaritas we got was undrinkably spicy. The staff did replace the salmon, but it was sad to see multiple members of our group get cold and undercooked food. Furthermore, our table set the reservation during the Fearless Restaurant week--but when we asked for the special menu advertised online, our server had no clue what we were talking about. He had to ask us what the items on the prix fixe menu were. And after all that, the multiple drinks each person at our table got, the mid-level set price for the 3-course special, we were still hungry. The portions for the fearless menu were really small. But, due to their menu prices, rather than order more I went home for a second dinner. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but I'm disappointed and underwhelmed.
