Literally everything we ordered was horrible and tasted like frozen food flash fried and everything tasted artificial and was pretty pricey. $5 Peach lemonade: 0/5 was SO sugary I don't know how anyone drinks it without diluting it in water. The flavor was decent but it was SO so much sugar it was so nasty until you added water. $18 Chicken and waffles: 1/5 and that's being generous because it was so bad. How are you going to mess up a chicken and waffles at a brunch place??? ESPECIALLY when it's $18 for a measly portion. The waffles tasted like the lowest quality microwave waffle you could get, and the chicken tasted like burnt frozen chicken. Syrup on the table: 0/5 Was so thick and artificial and for how expensive the food is why isn't there a better quality syrup??? Not sure why we waited ~20 minutes for this food when everything tasted like it was thrown in a microwave or flash fried. There's also a 20% tip added on the bill which is insane for the low quality of service you get. We weren't served forks/knives until we reminded the server and she then proceeded to take so long to get us them and we just had to stare at our food getting cold while she did other tasks. I walked by many times and wanted to try Brunch-n, so was happy to finally get to check it out. I was happy to see so many amazing comfort food options for brunch, so opted for the fish n' grits. The fish was nice and crispy and the grits were great - there could have been a little less dairy and more flavor to make it pop! We asked about the omelet but the server said they'd never eaten an omelet before, so wasn't the best to ask for recommendations for that. I wasn't hugely impressed with the taste and flavor of the food or the efficiency with which it came to us given the restaurant wasn't too busy. The concept for the restaurant is amazing, and I would love to support ongoing. I do hope that we won't be waiting as long as we did for our check and were checked in on more by our server. There was a main person in the kitchen who seemed to be leading everyone, but many staff seemed to be all over the place waiting for instruction. I really like this brunch restaurant. We went on a hot summer day and overall thoroughly enjoyed my meal, the service, and the ambiance. The menu had pretty good options to try but I ended up going with the chicken and waffles, it was so good. The chicken crispy and white meat, just the way I like it. The waffles as well...yum. Portions were kind of small but I prefer good quality over portion/size. They were also super accommodating for our allergy request. Unfortunately it was the summer so it was hot outside and their cooling system was not sufficient to keep the restaurant cool. That was the only downside that I hope they address before summer comes around again. But I look forward to going again to consume their delicious menu. read more

For starters, I ordered crab cake egg rolls and my sister ordered the avocado toast with smoked salmon - my oh my, both were very delicious! The crab egg rolls were perfectly crisp on the outside and flavorful throughout; the avocado toast was well seasoned and the smoked salmon was sliced to perfection and not overwhelming (sadly, I didn't get a picture of this). For our entrees my sister ordered steak and eggs and I ordered chicken and waffles; my sister said her steak was too salty but she did enjoy her home fries) and my chicken and waffles were absolutely delightful. I recommend that others try and I will definitely return... I had a chance to visit this black owned business in downtown Philadelphia on a Sunday morning for brunch. My only recommendation is to Uber or make sure you have parking plans. There is no where to park in the area. If you can figure that out then you are in store for a really good breakfast. I loved the Sunday morning vibe and how friendly the staff was. We were seated right away. My only reason for giving 3 stars was because I felt like parts of the ordering and getting our drinks/food took a bit longer than usual. This restaurant is BYOB but has a great selection of mocktails to order from. My blueberry inspired Mocktail was delicious and had a sugar rim on the glass. For breakfast we ordered a traditional egg plate that Include it over medium eggs beef bacon home fries and a side stack of pancakes. We also ordered the salmon BLT which came with fries. Impressive part about the meal was that the beef bacon was delicious. The restaurant does not serve pork products. Also, the pancakes and well seasoned french fries were very good. The customer service was amazing. Staff was honest from the door about what they had and didn't have and I chose to stay anyway. I did wonder why didn't they just have someone run to the market because what is brunch without eggs, but I agreed to change what I planned to order. However the food was not good. No one came to check on us after we got our food so I had to wave a different waitress down to ask what the issue was. When we questioned the lack of meat in the omelette, she said she would have the kitchen make a new one. No explanation or apology was given. My shrimp and grits wasn't bad, but it definitely lacked flavor. Now on to ambiance - it's lacking. Paint coming off the walls, no ventilation so you leave smelling like the kitchen, hot and stuffy. It did take a bit to get our food, but I think it was the worth the wait. The iced white chocolate coffee was the perfect treat and super refreshing. My mom and I split the hazelnut cream pancakes and Philly cheesesteak omelette. Both were so delicious, and I will be dreaming about those pancakes for the rest of the week. Showed up a little after they open at 10am and the door was locked but we were eventually let in. The inside of the place is quite cute and they have a lot of intriguing menu options. Prices were pretty standard but given the prices, I would've expected larger portions. It was enough food for a meal, but not leftovers. Both the peach cobbler stuffed French toast and meat lovers omelette were delicious. And their iced lattes with whipped cream were sweet treats! They could've been a bit more transparent though... I didn't realize until the check came that they charged us for adding cheese to our omelette. Brunch N isn't located in the nicest of areas in Philly, but the servers were very nice and checked on us several times to see how we were doing. I feel that I was conned. The receipts print with the ability to use Apple Pay or Google Pay to pay for the total, I did so but was told that wouldn't work and I needed to pay cash. I paid cash but guess what, my credit card bill still has the charge on it so I essentially paid twice. I'm disputing but hard to prove you paid cash. Also they baked the tip into the total when we only had two people! On top of that, total was $42 and I gave him $60 and he asked if I wanted change which is ridiculous given the fact they already charged a 20% service fee on the bill. This is a fairly new business, but despite this, the hosts, line cooks, and servers were quick on their feet and polite from the jump. The menu has many options, and they are constantly remodeling their menu as they continuously add delicious new menu items for customers. I ordered the chicken and grits and the french toast. If you like cheesy, the grits are definitely for you, but they were a bit too rich for me. The grits to cheese/cream ratio had to be 20:300. Nonetheless, it was packing flavor but was a bit much for me. The french toast was a classic, as usual, with fresh strawberries and whip creme. They had no ketchup but managed to scrap up 5 packs for 3 people. The chefs in the kitchen enjoyed eating the fries they didn't put on our plates. No hand washing but a bunch of eating over the area where they prepare food. Soggy waffles used on Buffalo chicken sandwiches. That needs to be another explanation. The star of the meal was the garlic aoli dipped in McDonald's fries. Oh, the waitress who asked if everything was OK but showed no concern when we told her. The staff started telling ppl they had 15 mins to order an hour and a half before closing. I have never been more disappointed in a black owned 6 beyond fully staffed, so it's really no excuse. What made the dish was the tomato gravy sauce on top although I would encourage them to add a little more. (I asked for more and they happily obliged). The grits weren't as creamy or seasoned as I like but still good. The side of potatoes were also just all right. I don't think they made mine fresh, but they were potatoes so I'll leave it at that. Finally, the crabcake eggrolls! For my first time, it wasn't bad. I love that they had a lot of filling but because it is so much filling, I think the eggroll needed to be cooked a little longer in order to make sure the middle was just as hot because it was a little cold. No Central Air system only air conditioner wall units that worked overtime to cool the location but could not keep up due to the grill station being on the restaurant floor. French Toast and Beef Bacon-No complaint. Service was okay. Server did a poor job at assigning seats to match the orders he took so a lot of food was wasted/sent back/incorrect Grease was old. Additional issues included undercooked fish over cooked eggs cheese nor cooked into eggs-just slapped on top overly sweet lemonade no paremesan for ceasar salad out of Peaches n cream french toast by 1 starters not delivered to the table. one order was skipped. 2 other orders was incomplete with food arriving extremely late. There is a $20 corking fee per bottle. this fee is charged wheth you need your bottle opened or not. They did not have a cork screw/bottle opener!!!(to open the bottle)! Overall The outing was disastrous as there were so many issues that occurred. Another grill station worker should have been added to the schedule knowing a large party(12 plus) made reservations. The server should have number the seats the match the order as he wrote it down to avoid cond when items were dropped to the table. the cork fee should not be that expensive especially when the bottle itself costs less. A central air system or additional fans need to be added to the dining room for comfort. No powdered sugar/whipped cream added to french toast after server specifically asked if we wanted it. No management seemed to be in sight as no one addressed our table aside from our server and a woman behind the counter. I would not recommend for large parties or for anyone looking to enjoy byob during brunch. read more

There was a tv with music videos playing and the sound was tinny and not conducive to conversation. I felt like I was at a basement party. The music was awful to say the least. While we waited for my husband's food (mine came first) we noticed 2 women get up and leave because no one had come over to greet them. They were seated and just left to their own devices. Not even offered water. Still, the same worker continued to be occupied with her phone. Basically, you just let money walk out of the door. Needless to say we won't be returning. Our bill came to $54 and for what we ordered, it should have been $20. Save yourself the trouble and do NOT patronize this establishment.
