Peach cobbler French toast AMAZING
Tino V.

Heard a lot about this place and checked it out , finding a parking spot is a challenge so be prepared for that , found a spot and was greeted by a really nice southeast Asian gentleman with a great personality he seated us we had to wait about 10 minutes for somebody to notice us frustrating but it was busy , our waitress was very nice and helped us order, food and drinks were amazing highly recommend if you love brunch

Creme brulee latte and honey lavender latte - both wayyyyy too sweet
Isabel L.

Giving it one star for the service being nice & friendly. However, the flavors of the meal itself were terrible and the worst I've ever had. Unfortunately everything we ordered was a MISS. It was either too sweet or too salty; and unfortunately even though the service was decent, I couldn't look past it. I truly have not had a disappointing meal like this in forever. For drinks, we got the caramel latte and the honey lavender latte. Both were insanelyyyyyy sweet, it felt like diabetes in a cup. We ended up not even finishing half of the lattes... disappointing Onto the food. We got the pernil eggs Benedict and kitchen sink. Both would honestly be fine however it was SOOOOOO SALTY. I feel like my sodium levels were going thru the roof and I could instantly feel a headache forming. I do not think the cooks are tasting their food as they're making it - the seasoning on the food was wayyyyyy too salty for consumption. Overall just so disappointed because I do see the potential. They have a fun menu with cool options but they need to taste their food because it was just unenjoyable. The technique was there - pernil was tender, poached egg was cooked well, hash browns were crispy BUT the overwhelming amount of salt on the dish was unacceptable and completely ruined it. I felt like the entire meal was a waste of money. I'd feel healthier and more satisfied eating breakfast at a fast food joint. I will not be returning unfortunately.

The food and service was amazing. Even on a Saturday morning the restaurant was it packed with people. I arrived around 1:00pm and I was seated. I ordered the chicken and waffles and a Bellini ! The food was filling it not heavy. I can tell they use natural clean ingredients. The location was clean and super welcoming! Whenever I am in Philly I will definitely go back again.

Parking is horrible but once you find a spot you're good. Service was on point. Server was friendly, attentive and informative about the menu. Drinks were good and very prett

We enjoyed this brunch spot. Great omelets, caramel coffee, hashbrowns, eggs Benedict.

Our very first time here! The french toast trio was absolutely amazing!!! Cookie Dough was my favorite ! Super delicious ! The best choice! The red velvet pancakes were huge and they were good! My avocado platter was great, I just needed there more than 2 toasts for all the food! The waffles and chicken also good! All the places were really big! But the winner is the french toast no doubt !!! It is only cash, I didn't know, but luckily I had some cash and there was an ATM machine. We parked kind of far, but then we found a spot at the door and we changed our car. Super recommend ! The place is cozy and welcoming ! Great customer service.

This green eggs cafe is located on one of the main arteries of fishtown. The sign on the front of the building can be misleading because not only does it have the green eggs cafe sign but also two other signs mentioning a pizza place which no longer exists. On another note, I came here for a to go order on a weekday morning. I had been eyeing the crème brûlée French toast and finally got the opportunity to order it. During my pick up, they confirmed that the establishment was cash only. There was a good amount of people there for a weekday breakfast/brunch. Fifteen minutes after my order, I got my order and went on to enjoy my French toast. The portion was huge and it matched my expectations of deliciousness. So I was overall happy.

We went to green eggs around 12 on Sunday, and had no wait! We were seated immediately and our food and drinks came out fast. I was very surprised because it was busy in the restaurant, but they were on top of it! The food is always delicious here. We had to share the French toast trio, the cookie dough French toast is my favorite. The kitchen sink is absolutely amazing and gives you about 3 meals. My dad really enjoyed his short rib Benedict, the hash brown on the bottom instead of English muffin was really good. Their chicken and waffles are just good. They have so many amazing things on their menu, this wouldn't be my go-to item, and my boyfriend agreed. Overall, we had a nice time, enjoyed the fast service, atmosphere, and our food.

I don't usually travel on this side of town, but I needed to take care of some business. Walked right past Green Eggs Cafe a thought "let's go in for some brunch!". This was our first time here, and I didn't know what to expect. We were seated right away. It has an airy feel about the place. The waiter was very friendly and gave us time to order. The menu has a lot of great things to choose from. My daughter decided on the Vegan Creme Brulee French Toast. It was huge! Challah bread dipped in vanilla bean custard topped with a Berry compote, fresh berries w/ maple syrup. My husband ordered the " Kitchen Sink." This was also huge, which is 3 eggs, sausage crumbles, gyureye cheese, potatoes, onions, and sausage gravy on a large biscuit in an iron skillet. He brought what he couldn't eat home for 2 more meals! He said it was delicious as well! I think the name fits the dish! I decided on the Shrimp & Grits. It comes with 2 eggs (anyway you like), 5 shrimps, and cheesy grits. The grits were nice, thick and cheesy. They could have made it a even 6 shrimps, but.... ok! They were still delicious. I had enough to bring home for another meal. For drinks, we got a Pineapple breeze and a iced salted caramel mocha coffee. I must say all the food and drinks had a beautiful presentation and were equally as good. Service was great, and I would definitely go back to Green Eggs Cafe if I'm ever on that side of town! P.S. It's cash only!!!!

Such an enjoyable mid week brunch here! I met friends around 9 am. Plenty of tables were available. A much more relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere than the weekends!! If you go on the weekend, plan on a wait. The room is large with big windows so there's lots of natural light. Our server and other staff wore masks. The staff is friendly. Our server was efficient, checked on us and was pleasant. The food never disappoints here. My friend had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was cooked perfectly while the grits were creamy and cheesy. The crème brûlée French Toast is soooo good! It is thick slices in a creamy vanilla sauce with lots of berries. Syrup and a scoop of butter too it off. The portions are large. We all took home a doggie bag. I walked out without my doggie bag but our server had it put aside. I was glad she didn't trash it!

We don't get out for breakfast much because life is so busy but when I asked about going this morning and he said ok you pick I knew where I wanted to go. I had to wait a half an hour for them to open but it was worth it. I just went with the original eggs Benedict which was amazing. The hollandaise was so good and a little lemony the way I like it. I also got a virgin bloody. The other half surprised me and also just went plain Jane today with scrambled eggs, cheese grits l, sausage and white toast. We didn't order anything crazy but still loved our breakfast and service. I took half of mine home for my lunch. The breakfast potatoes that came with mine are so good.

I absolutely love this popular brunch spot. There is usually a long wait time because of its popularity. Today, the traffic wasn't too bad... perhaps everyone is down at the shore? Not sure, but my party of 6 was very happy! We were promptly seated, given menus, and received water. The menu is well created, sweets, savory, drinks. I've had the chicken & waffles Benedict and the Banana French toast already - fabulous! This time around I tasted the crème brûlée French toast and the steak and eggs - I don't think you can possibly go wrong with any of the options. Keep in mind this place is cash (though they do have an ATM. Any bill over $50 automatically adds 18% gratuity that will go to staff.

Red velvet pancakes, not my fav!
Ashley G.

The food was delicious. Service was prompt! This location has cocktails and they're so yummy!! They now have a rooftop and indoor seating as well! You still need cash only but they have an atm so there's the convenience! I've only had breakfast but this is really a breakfast/brunch one spot anyway! I def recommend! The ambiance was fine for breakfast. Difficult parking but the food made up for it.

We booked a table weeks in advance for a fun family meal, but upon arrival the maitre d' informed us that the inside restaurant had been closed for a mariachi musical evening and they were going to seat us on a picnic table outside. Putting aside the fact that it was 90 degrees and muggy, and that one of our guests was 85 years old, we said "ok." The appetizers and drinks came promptly and then suddenly, we were blasted with mariachi music out of a speaker next to our picnic table. We asked the manager to turn the music down and it was ok for a little while, but then someone came outside and turned it back up. It was so loud, you couldn't speak. And remember: this was the Fringe Bar - blasting Mexican music was not what we signed up for. We politey but firmly told the waiter that if he wanted a good tip, he would turn the music down, and he said that since we were a party of five, our tip was automatically charged. WTF! Fortunately, the manager got it, and she turned the volume down again. And it stayed down for the rest of the meal. The food was not as good as previously -- the chicken sandwich was overcooked and dried out, the rice bowl as underseasoned and the rice was overcooked, and the french fries soggy, not crisp. The caesar salad lettuce was crisp. Thankfully! When the check came, it totaled $310 with the 20% automatic tip. I had ordered a Tito's on the rocks and they charged an extra dollar for Tito's and an extra $5 for the "rocks". I wish I had kept the receipt because I would posted it. This was the first time that I was charged for the "rocks". Rather than complaining again, I'm posting this review for others to see. Fringe Bar - adios (para siempre)

Service was so good, that we were able to have serious conversations, and yet also have an understanding of what was on the menu and were served delicious food in a way that didn't feel rushed. We particularly like the mountain daisy cocktail, which was a green chartreuse cocktail... So worth the price. We also had "kink in the armor," a bourbon drink with mole bitters. The wine list was superb, and the meats in particular or brined and serve, served perfectly cooked every time! Highly recommend the mussels toast, the oysters, and the chicory salad! The lamb and pork chops were so so good. Not enough superlatives for our experience, clearly. Might be the cocktails talking...
