Cozy Philly joint that makes you smile! a little counter, plenty of tables for 4 and tables for two. Artwork adds flavor! 2nd time around and still awesome! French toast was crispy but melted in your mouth! Sausage super tasty. Service was friendly as before. This venue is walking distance from Ritt. Square and City Hall. Great prices too!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on marathon weekend. Place did not disappoint. Quick service, great food, no wait at 12:30pm on a Saturday while Expo was ongoing nearby. Had to ask for metal cutlery, but was accommodated.

Doesn't look like much from the outside and they only take cash (they have lots of signage to that effect and yet I saw two customers try to pay with a credit card) . It doesn't look like much once you walk in, either. I almost turned around and left because it looked tight, grungy, and dicey. And yet there were so many locals that I had to try it. And boy, was I glad I stayed. Tables were clean, silverware, napkins, cups, plates, etc. were all as they should be. I saw staff dutifully wiping down after other customers left. Server was busy but maintained a great demeanor. Food was plentiful and came out quickly. Make this a stop for breakfast and fill up before starting your day sightseeing in Philadelphia.

This place is definitely some of the best service and breakfast I have had in a lifetime my whole. Quick wholesome and no frills. My omelette was stuffed with veggies and the home fries were delicious. Not pictured was the coffee that my hubby was in desperate need of....long night :) he is not 21 anymore and forgot this when he started drinking :) anyway if you are in the area give this diner type place a try! You won't regret it.

Solid three star experience, their rating is spot on. I was staying at a hotel around the corner and found this spot on Yelp after waking up rather hangry due to a late night the night before. My boyfriend and I headed over around 10am and were seated at a table right away. From the start we could tell that the customer service was lacking a bit. Being that we were hungover and didn't want to be bothered it was ok. After looking over the menu I went with a basic breakfast of two eggs over medium with potatoes and toast. It didn't take long to come out from the kitchen but I was bummed to be served over cooked eggs. The yolks were solid, nothing to dip the plethora of toast I received. My breakfast companion said his meal was just ok as well. I can say that I loved the "hashbrowns" that I got. They weren't shredded but rather chunks of potato with a dark crispy crust. After paying our bill the waitress just tossed our receipt on the table and walked away. No thank you or have a nice day. If you're looking for an affordable and basic breakfast, this spot will do the trick.

Located just a 1/2 block from Love Park. It was Thanksgiving and with everything shut down due to COVID (and the holiday), we were desperate to find someplace serving breakfast. Then we came upon this gem. No open seating inside but they were running takeout. We ordered. We took our food around the corner and sat at some tables outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The food was excellent! I had a scrapple, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll. Oh, how I miss scrapple. Hear that Florida! Anyway, take a look at my pictures. So delicious.

I had no intention in going here initially but I'm happy we stopped by. They're across the street from love park so it's a super convenient spot to grab and quick bite to eat especially if you're in a rush like I was. My only issue is the price. I paid $38 for 3 breakfast sandwiches (bacon, egg, and cheese) and 3 drinks. Lololol ordered it from the park and in about 15 minutes it was done. Oh and they're cash only another issue I had with the place. But the breakfast sandwiches were good, fresh, and hot so we don't have any complaints about that. They just seem a little money hungry. For $40 I could have went a brunch with bottomless mimosas just saying. Lol

Don't let their generic-sounding name deter you as these guys were legit! They're located right next door to where we were staying (Le Meridian hotel) which is how we ended up here as there weren't too many breakfast options within walking distance as our time was limited. ATMOSPHERE: The diner feel is prevalent with simple decor and low top seats abound. MENU: Breakfast selections, soups, salads, diner-style apps, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, burgers, desserts, breakfast & brunch catering menu. FOOD: Western Omelette - $8.99 Standard fillers were ham and green peppers. I added mushrooms and spinach for just $1 and substituted onions for mushrooms with home fries as my side. Everything was delish, including the rough-chopped home fries with nicely seared parts. SERVICE: They weren't very busy even for a Wednesday morning so we got seated immediately. Our female server was super friendly with very nice personality. Thanks! TIPS: Paying with a credit card generates a processing fee of 40 cents. They're open early 7-days a week but close at 5pm. OVERALL: Half the price of IHOP with comparable portions and a true homemade-taste!

    Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure

I ordered the mega cheesesteak. I took it to my car and had a trunk picnic on 16th Street. This Cheesesteak had some good weight to it. This was a very wet Cheesesteak and I could tell we were going to have a roll problem. There was a good amount of good meat. It was a little thicker slice so you could really taste the meat. The cheese is almost non-existent. What really made this Cheesesteak was the extras. I got the sweet peppers versus the hot. The extras spent a very good amount of time on the grill getting to know each other and mixing their flavors together very well. Cheese and a roll that can handle the moisture and this is a very very very good cheesesteak. Oh yes, major roll blow out.

Our serve apologized profusely and they gave us a sweet treat on the house at the end of our meal. I ordered the frittata which was delicious and my husband to the omelette . We also got the drop biscuits with strawberry rhubarb jam and omg am good! Our brunch was great and the interior was modern but felt homey and we had the best service and the manager also came to see things were going. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back next time I'm in town!

We ordered the crispy cheese curds (Wisconsin cheddar, smoked guajillo salsa, and charred scallion ranch). These were a unique take on the classic and I was here for it, definitely try these! I then had the wedge salad (blue cheese, nueske's bacon, cherry tomatoes, radish, pepitas, crispy onions, and thai basil goddess). There were no tomatoes on ours, and so we were given sliced avocado instead. This was an interesting attempt but not my favorite take on this dish, I probably would not get this again. However, the shrimp po boy buns came through to round off this meal! (crispy shrimp, smoky aioli, house made choppy chop, dill on two buttered potato rolls.) These were fantastic and absolutely fire. NOTE they are tiny, almost appetizer sized, which didnt bother me because after the salad and cheese curds I was feeling full already but I would go back and get two orders just for myself they were that good. All in all a great place, I recommend!

It's casual but you won't be out of place if you dress up. For food, we started with the crispy calamari that came with a citrus frisee salad and was already sauced up. It was a unique style that I enjoyed and much lighter than other calamari dishes I've had. The petite plateau was perfect for sharing among the 4 of us. Everything was fresh and delicious while being presented so beautifully. The cocktails I had were good. They were different from ones I typically order which I thought was fun to experiment with new flavors to see what I like. One had a pickle garnish and the other was with a non-smoky mezcal. For entrees, most of us got pasta which were all handmade and tasty. My favorite was the one with crab & vodka sauce. The cacio e Pepe & mushroom ones were also good. What stood out the most during the meal was dessert. We got the double chocolate mousse and that was one of the best chocolate mousses I've ever had! It was so gorgeous and topped with a sunflower seed praline & had tangy passionfruit sauce at the bottom which made for a flavor explosion. I was so impressed! The key lime panna cotta was also a work of art topped with candied sourdough that provided a nice crunch to the creamy texture of this dish. It was so yummy! I can't wait to go back again!
