My friend loves the food here so we drove all the way from Jersey just for brunch! She thoroughly enjoyed her vegan pecan pie French toast. It was ok, maybe if the temperature of my meal (or even the temperature of the restaurant) was hotter I would've enjoyed it more. I had the "kitchen sink" and it was pretty tasty! I loved having everything all together. Good size portion too. Service was friendly and the food came out surprisingly quick.

Classic brunch that's delicious and in huge portions makes Green Eggs a staple! Service is prompt and kind, and the ambiance is lively with pop music and several TV screens. The Kitchen Sink was a rich and delicious platter that sent our brunch cravings running for the hills. It has everything you need - eggs, potatoes, peppers, biscuit, and gravy. Top it off with Cholula and every bite is perfection! This was absolutely huge, we couldn't even finish it between two people. The red velvet pancakes, which we ordered in a kids size, were surprisingly not too sweet! They're more of a deep chocolate flavor than sugary, but the cream and strawberries on top contribute to the sweet side. There's also syrup you can drizzle on top. The kids size was giant as well, I can't imagine how large the regular order would be! Green Eggs has everything you could need for brunch and more, and I can't wait to come back again!

We love green eggs cafe. The Rittenhouse location is perfect for brunch prior to a stroll at the Rittenhouse farmer's market. Our go to order options are kitchen sink, breakfast burrito and breakfast enchiladas. Their breakfast drinks are delicious as well. Love the Bloody Mary. They're still cash only so definitely carry cash or use their atm indoors.

Where do I even start? We had a bit of a wait but the wait was worth it. They do have an accessibility ramp, which a member of our party used. I ordered the PB&j latte as well as the short rib Benedict. My brunch dates ordered the French toast dishes and they turned out great. My Benedict was delicious and went well with the potatoes. The French toast was fluffy with a lot of flavor. The blueberries being in season along with lemon gave it a great bright flavor. Since the portions were so large, I split the Benedict with them and had some of the french toast. The creme brulee french toast was a major win as well. This place gets very busy but service is great and the food is absolutely worth the wait. Very cool diner vibes and also very clean. There's tables in the back and the front. You're able to see a lot of the action in the kitchen if you're in the back. I enjoy that they have options for pretty much everyone so that people can dine and eat what they want.

Green Eggs Cafe is of our favorite breakfast/brunch spots in the city. They have limited menu and seasonal specials that they execute brilliantly. My standard goto order is Kitchen sink skillet that comes with biscuit and gravy and some delicious small sized potatoes and cheese. The skillet is nice and tasty and has never disappointed me. We also ordered kid's French toast sticks which was nice but a bit on the oily side. The beverages that we ordered were flavorful and strong. The beverage portion was on the smaller side though. My only issue is that even today they are cash only place which is nostalgic at times but almost all the other times very irritating as we now need to arrange for cash. Service is nice and polite. There may be rush and waiting so be prepared. Casual ambiance !

Standard brunch spot in Philly that is good for walk ins! I ordered the shrimp and grits which was cheesy and tasty, although was a pretty generic take on it. The portions were very large which was great. I've had the tofu scramble before which is okay as well. Overall a great spot for a quick brunch but nothing unique about the food.

YUM!!! Everything we ordered came perfectly. We enjoyed the presentation of the dishes and the decadent flavor options. If you are like me and have an extreme sweet tooth, this spot is for you. The French toast all sounded heavenly so we opted for the flight to maximize our flavors. The breakfast enchiladas also had a lot of food with a good amount of sauces and I loved the guacamole and bean sauces. Our lattes were sweet but not too sweet so it provided a nice balance to our sweet and savory meal.

Looked at menu and thought it would be a great place for brunch. Didn't realize they had multiple locations, located near to one another but all worked out well. The chicken sandwich was mediocre and probably should have gone with one of the interesting breakfast items. Coffee drink with cinnamon whip cream was amazing. The service was good but to be honest was uncomfortable with a service charged added to bill as we did not know if this went to serve. Percent was 18 percent and given early statement did not want to leave a couple of dollars. Receipt also had suggested tip printed which suggested to us service charge did not go to wait staff. Additionally, this is a cash only place. While the food was OK it worked out to be an expensive brunch experience. Would love to try other items but given Service Charge probably won't be back

Great Place to eat, has a lot to offer on their breakfast. Menu was really hard to choose what to eat. They have a great drink menu as well. They have mimosa pitchers as well. Only thing you would really need to know when you get there is you have to have cash. They do have ATM at the front of the building before you go back to get served to be able to pull out money to eat but just know you do need cash Otherwise, the place is very clean and they have a lot of seating to offer.

Green Eggs Café holds a special place for us, as it was the spot for one of our first few dates, and recently our last meal before getting married! The food was genuinely really good, and the service was great, making the experience memorable. The major drawbacks, however, are related to payment transparency. I was frustrated by the mandatory service charge tacked onto the bill, which is separate from the standard tip and gratuity. Additionally, be aware that the restaurant is cash only, which can be quite inconvenient if you aren't prepared. While the food and staff are fantastic, the payment policies detract from the overall enjoyment.

Definitely want to get there a bit before open or might have to wait some. Also recommend looking at menu ahead of time if you get overwhelmed by a menu with so many good options.

Walked in and was seated immediately. Please be warned this is CASH ONLY!!! There is an atm on site but again it's CASH ONLY!! An 18 percent charge is added on bills over 50 dollars. Our serve Damien was amazing. My friend's mimosa was not right the first time and the manager herself came over and made sure it was correct. The manager continued to check on us during our time which was amazing. She's very hands on Now to the food! Large and I mean large portions. A day later and I still have enough food for two. I got the braised ribs egg rolls , red celery pancakes and home fries! To drink the blueberry lemonade. All delicious. My friend is vegan and I loved that they have so many vegan options. I would highly recommend getting a plate to share it's so much food! Every thing was wonderful and highly recommend. Walking distance from a lot of attractions.

This is the second time I've eaten here, and it was a lovely experience again. Our waitress was absolutely lovely (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name); I requested hot water to drink during our meal, and she also gave me an extra cup of hot water to go when we left because it was cold outside. I got a strawberry matcha, which was great; the strawberries were very sweet, and our waitress also gave me a boba straw because the strawberry pieces kept getting stuck in the regular straw. I ordered the Pernil Benedict from the special's menus and it was delicious. The meat was very soft while the rice cake was crispy, and textures and flavors worked well together. I also like the openness and the good amount of natural light that this cafe gets. I'm excited to come back :) This place is cash-only.

I'm rating this establishment four stars because the drinks on The Philadelphia Cocktail Trail were essentially existing drinks they had on their current menu but with different names. Same ingredients. I was hoping to see something new or related to America's 250th. Overall, though, the space was very calm and clean and I enjoyed being there. All the menu items sounded great, too. I'll have to pop in here for a bite to eat next time.

The calamari was perfectly crisp and came with the unexpected bonus of onion rings, which were ever-so-lightly battered and perfectly crunchy. And once again, the sauces were superb. The boys shared a cheese pizza, half pepperoni, and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger, and yes, I stole a bite--and yes, to no one's surprise, it was amazing. We also ordered the charred broccoli after seeing everyone rave about it online. They were NOT wrong. Creamy, smoky, charred perfection. And finally... drumroll please... the 10 oz. smoked Duroc pork chop! OH. EM. GEEE. Perfectly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside, sitting in the most delicious smoky morita-apricot glaze and topped with a bright cucumber-melon salad with mint and blue basil. The contrast was perfection! The rich, smoky pork, the sweet and slightly spicy glaze, and that cool, fresh salad on top. Every bite had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had. As wonderful as the food was, the service somehow made the experience even better. It was still good, just not as "lobster ravioli" as Im used to. The pizza is a very thin crust but they did a wonderful job of not burning the crust despite this. There was a lao a really nice distribution of pepperoni throughout the pizza and it never really gave that "greasy" feeling that can happen.

The Love is better. The space is beautiful, the service is consistently warm, and Stephen Starr's fingerprints are all over it. I love the painted white brick, the floral artwork along the walls, the street-level energy, and the outdoor seating. I also remember taking the elevator upstairs once. I can't remember whether we actually stayed and ate up there or asked to move back downstairs, but the space was charming and extremely private. It would be a great setting for a group dinner or event. Personally, I prefer downstairs. It's darker, livelier, and I like being at street level. The menu historically leaned more heavily into elevated Southern comfort food, which has never been my favorite style of cooking. That's probably why I've tended to prefer The Love for lunch over dinner, especially when Philadelphia has so many Starr restaurants competing for the same night out. I used to get what I remember as a salmon and farro bowl, although the menu appears to have evolved since then. Whatever the exact iteration was, I loved it. Fish and farro are both right in my wheelhouse. I've also enjoyed the kale salad and other lighter dishes. The thing I remember most vividly, though, is the cornbread. It is outrageously good and reason enough to order something for the table. I also give Starr credit for continuing to broaden the range of food styles in his portfolio. Once you've built restaurants across Italian, French, Mexican, English, steakhouses, seafood, and the rest, there are only so many obvious boxes left to check. The Love feels like its own lane: distinctly American, approachable, comfort-driven, and still polished enough to feel like a Starr restaurant. Looking at the menu now, it seems broader than I remember, with more options that appeal to me, and I'd be psyched to go back. The Love probably isn't the first Starr restaurant I'd choose purely based on cuisine, but that says more about the depth of his Philadelphia portfolio than it does about this restaurant. The room, hospitality, location, and execution are all excellent. I'd happily come here any day. Starr doesn't miss.

Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I've had. We had a 7 PM reservation and arrived at 7:15 PM. I acknowledge that we were late and apologized to the host. However, we arrived within the stated grace period. When we checked in, the hostess explained that because we arrived later within the grace period, our 90-minute seating window would still end based on the original reservation time. We acknowledged that and had absolutely no issue with it. What made the experience uncomfortable was how aggressively we were reminded about the time throughout the entire meal. We were reminded at least 5-6 separate times how much time we had left. Comments like "just so you know you have 25 minutes left" and "our next party is coming in 5-10 minutes" made it feel like staff was actively trying to rush us out before our reservation time had even ended. Mind you, we already understood the policy. One reminder would have been enough. Instead, it completely changed the energy of the evening and made us feel unwelcome and pressured to leave. We had originally planned to stay through our reservation and then move to the bar for the live music afterward, but after being repeatedly rushed, we decided to leave entirely and spend the rest of the night elsewhere. The most disappointing part was the interaction with the manager, Eric. Rather than listening or showing any understanding, he immediately became defensive and aggressive. He repeatedly insisted we were "15-20 minutes late," which was simply not true -- we arrived during the stated grace period. The issue was never the policy itself. It was the way we were treated throughout the night. It's unfortunate because this has genuinely been one of my favorite spots in Philly, and I've recommended it to multiple people. But this experience left a really bad impression, especially when bringing guests from out of town.

There are many tables, making it good for groups, but the interior is pretty bare. The wall is adorned with whimsical fox and chicken imagery, referencing the Hatch and Coop name. As of 05/2025, they supposedly offer 10% off your order by showing your SEPTA card. But, I'd confirm this offer before ordering to ensure it's honored. When I was there in the early morning, the cook (who also takes orders) didn't recognize the deal and didn't know how to punch it in. So, it was a bit of a letdown we couldn't redeem the deal, but we still wanted to try the sandwiches after hearing great things about them. I ordered The Hatch and Coop Sandwich (egg, cheese, chicken) on a round roll at the kiosk. You can customize your bread, egg (fried or scrambled), and cheese (provolone, american, or cheddar). The sandwiches come without any sauce unless you order sauce (extra $$) on the side. I highly recommend the Hatch Sauce- a typical mayo sauce with a little spice. I found The Hatch and Coop Sandwich to be just pretty good but I wish it had more heft to it. The chicken was juicy and well cooked, but I wish there was more. The cheese did the cheesing and coated the chicken, but the sandwich had far too many onions for my liking. With the Hatch Sauce, I felt the sandwich was tied together but it was a little odd to me the sandwich doesn't have sauce on its own. I'm giving Hatch and Coop the benefit of the doubt since it was so early in the morning, but I found my sandwich to be just OK. However, I will be back to try the fried chicken sandwiches, which I've heard rave reviews for.
