Everything I would want in a breakfast place is here - great food, service and ambiance. The menu offered a variety of options from chilaquiles and avocado toasts to crepes and omelets. We came here around 8a on a Saturday and there was no wait for a table. The restaurant filled up quite a bit by 9am. Coffee $3.75 - Bottomless, smooth. Only unflavored creamy on the table. Mediterranean omelet $15 - The feta cheese makes this omelet creamy and savory. Lemon poppy seed crepes $12.50 - Crepes were a little on the thick side, perfectly sweetened with the vanilla bean glaze and went well with sliced kiwi and blackberries. The diced potatoes were equally as good as the block of hash browns. Located on Lake St. by the Holiday Inn Express. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

Turkey Club with Gluten Free Bread

We have been to Brunch Cafe at different locations, and this is a new one to add to our list. This one is located within a small strip mall and near a gas station. We arrived after 12:30pm, and it was pretty busy, and luckily we were able to get a table for two. The wait staff was friendly, and asked us for drink order while letting us decide. We also confirmed that they have gluten free bread if we wanted to make any substitution. We ordered Turkey Club (sub with Gluten Free bread), Signature French Toast (not GF, first time trying!), Chicken Noodle Soup (not GF). The Turkey Club also came with a side. The Turkey Club also has bacon so it added some crispiness for the tasty sandwich. The Chicken Noodle Soup was in a good size bowl, and they gave a generous portion of chicken and noodle, so not just the broth. The temperature was just right, hot but not burning. It was great for a cold day! I didn't have any expectation of the Signature French Toast when ordering it. On the first bite, it reminded of a bread pudding. The fresh fruits and the sauces balanced the creaminess from the toast very well. I didn't even need the syrup! It came in three pieces, but I was quite full after one piece due to the richness. If you are looking for a brunch place, try out this place!

I really like this location! The staff are always friendly and attentive. I love the menu and how it's not just your standard breakfast spread. On my most recent visit, I got the breakfast burrito and holy cow it was massive!! I could only eat about half. Yumm

Brunch Cafe is a super cozy spot for a quick breakfast. Luckily there was no wait when I arrived but I like that there is an option to join the waitlist on the Yelp App. Melissa made sure that my coffee was topped off as I enjoyed my meat and potato skillet with two over-easy eggs. The side order of pancakes that came with were fluffy and moist. They also had a secret menu on the table that had some specialty items.

We were in the area for an appointment and decided to get breakfast. So happy we discovered this place! The service was great, food amazing, and the restaurant very clean and comfortable. The only negative is we love too far away to frequent here.

The service at this place was fantastic. They are attentive but not intrusive. There was so much food. The breakfast sliders were perfect. The brioche bun and the egg with the perfect amount of cheese. I had the potato pancake special which was so filling. I could normally eat it all. The French toast and fruit was gobbled up. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular.

got on the waitlist before entering the restaurant. it was about a 20 minute wait which wasn't bad. once seated our server was super nice and chill and just was herself which i appreciated. we got orange juice, water and an iced chai with caramel. the caramel honestly didn't complement the chai, i should have got it on my own. food wise i got the garden omelet with no asparagus and with cheddar cheese and a side of extra crispy hasbrown. everything was made to perfection, i had no complaints. environment was friendly overall and seemed like everything was tidy inside.

Service at this location was great. They are very quick and friendly. Sadly the food did not meet expectations. I would not recommend the chilaquiles as taste was just not what I expected. Maybe it was just this meal. I will try something else next time.

Despite its simplicity, the morning panini is very filling and makes an excellent meal.

I love that there are unique Southern dishes like chicken and waffles, Southern fried chicken, and shrimp and grits. The coffee is hot, strong and accompanied by cute little baskets with individual creamers. The pancakes are super fluffy and served with a warm bottle of syrup. The frappe was also really good. My friend ordered the avocado toast, which she liked, but her caramel macchiato was off at first it tasted mostly like milk with a little caramel. They did fix it though, so I'll give them credit for that. Only downside was she ended up feeling like she got food poisoning afterward. The egg on her dish had a thin film on it, so we're thinking it might not have been fully cooked, which is concerning. Service itself was good and the staff was nice. Parking was also easy, which is always a plus. Good food overall, but that situation definitely threw things off a bit.

So frankly, that wasn't great. Briana's - a quick reminder that restaurants should be warm and inviting- using harsh, cold lighting does "not" count and was the reason for the sole demerit. I ordered the Iron Man omelette from the "Lighter Side" section, which sounds modest but clearly has superhero-level powers. Moments later, a glorious cloud of fluffy egg whites loaded with veggies landed in front of me like a gift from heaven. Now let's talk about the true headliner: the half avocado atop the omelette. Not the sad, rock-hard "maybe it'll ripen by Thursday" kind. This was an award-winning avocado performance. Perfectly ripe, green, and flavorful. The most perfect piece of produce ever produced. And then...strawberries, watermelon, and other tasty fresh fruit on the side. In February. In the Midwest. I don't know what kind of agricultural wizardry is happening back there in the kitchen, but I support it. As if that weren't enough, the waitress noticed my deep emotional commitment to hot sauce and brought me not one but TWO Cholula flavors. That's not just service. That's the kind of service that brings a tear to my eye. I was too overwhelmed with happiness to take photos, but let me just say it was an amazing lunch. Honestly, I may order this exact meal for my next ten visits because why mess with perfection? Outside of my ideal meal documented here, the breakfast+lunch menu is extensive, the daily soup rotation is strong, and everything about this place screams "small town gem." Came for lunch. I was seated pretty quickly and given a menu and ordered my standard unleaded coffee - decaf for those of you in the know. The ambience of the place was pretty good - very modern- very nice and it looked like it was very well-maintained. Always a good thing! To be honest? The only demerit was the waitress. Oh, she was good as a waitress, but she was not warm or welcoming - it seemed like she was just going through the motions, albeit professionally. It kind of makes a difference to me, you know? I decided to order a build your own omelette - I got turkey, sausage, turkey, bacon, and green peppers. In addition, I ordered a side of French toast and decided to try the hashbrowns because they look like they were housemade and not frozen. After a short bit of time, the food came out and oh my God! The portions were huge. I ate the French toast first but the only thing I noticed was the syrup was room temperature and not warmed up - not exactly a dealbreaker for me, but it would've pushed them over the top. The hashbrowns? Excellent! I put some hot sauce on the omelette and ate it all up - lickety split! So - would I come back? Probably. But I would hope for a different waitress is all. Ok, I was the first customer for the day (Yes, I wake up early!). I was seated, ordered a decaf coffee (sorry; had to go unleaded for health reasons, darn it). I reviewed the menu and - well - tried to find a comfy seating position on the upholstered booth table I was seated at. I'm sorry, but the springs on this thing had sprung, and there wasn't a comfy spot to be found. Ok. So there was that..... I liked the style of the place- but what in the world was with the 5,000 kelvin can lights in the ceiling? Folks, I want warm and comfy lighting - no more than 3500 Kelvin is what you had elsewhere in the restaurant. The 5,000 kelvin was just way, way too harsh. For shame. Pull out the "daylight" and put in a soft/warm kelvin bulb please! Hurts my eyes. Ok- the food. I ordered a 2-egg breakfast; subbed the hashies for rye toast, chose the sausage option, and upped the order to include two crepes with lingonberry sauce (always a sucker for lingonberry sauce, you know?). I was told the food would take a bit longer due to the crepes - didn't matter to me, really; couldn't be a huge delays could it? Naw, it wasn't. The food came out- ok, then! Let's check it out - the scrambled eggs and sausage were perfectly acceptable. The toast was not buttered (NO!) but was right outta the toaster- and man, that counted! As I started munchin' away, I noted the crepes seemed- well- a bit well done? Well, yeah. Like, on one crepe? The end of the crepe was hard and almost- but not quite- burnt. Yikes. I still ate it. It was relatively good, sure. But who over-cooks crepes? Can't say it was fantastic. Now, I don't have anything bad to say about the server- she was super nice and awesome! But fix up the seating/lights, please, as well as the crepes? You'll be in "5" territory in no time!
