A welcome as I walked through the door. I was asked to seat were I wanted to. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 was because no one gave me a menu for 5 solid minutes. I went up to the counter, and asked if they had a digital menu, the gentleman said no, but did not offer a menu. I saw a paper menu by the check out counter, took a look, and then ordered at the counter. Service was fast after I placed the order. I got the salmon Benedict with salad and a side of hash brown. For drink, I got the matcha latte which was delicious. The interior is well laid and beautifully decorated with peony flowers as the man features- thus the name.
Brunch at Peony is a nice breakfast/lunch spot in Suwanee. It is located on Old Atlanta Road and offers plenty of parking, interior and exterior seating. does the location look like (interior, exterior, seating, parking, are they dog friendly, etc). The price for food was comparable to the quantity/quality of what you get! My husband and I arrived around lunchtime during the weekend, and we did not have to wait long to be seated. The food and service were both great. The portions were quite large leaving me to have leftover to take home.
Very pretty cafe, all the food is pretty and Instagramable food. The cafe is small. They are busy on the weekends but the wait isn't too long. Service is good, friendly, and Plenty of parking. The only reason I gave one star less is prices are a little on the more expensive side for what it is and portion sizes. But loved it and will be back !!!
Sunday brunch with friends. We did not make a reservation but did call the restaurant to confirm seating availability. Cute and quiet spot for small groups. The menu offered a descent selection of food, and the coffee was good as well. Pancake - Dutch Baby - was quite eye catching. There was fruit on almost every dishes, which I liked for brunch. Our server was very nice as well.
This spot is an absolute hidden gem for this area. You'd never know, since it's in a plaza slightly angled away from the road. My mother wanted to go here since her friend told her about it, so we decided to brave the weather and head out for an early Mother's Day brunch. There's limited parking in the lot here. Since it's a Saturday the Tae Kwon Do spot was busy and so was brunch! Waited about 30-40 minutes for a table but got in and was addressed immediately. Our server was efficient and professional, Didn't catch her name but she was friendly and helpful. We ordered: croque madame with season potato wedges (me), my father got the bacon and egg Dutch Baby pancake, and my mother got the omelette with hash browns. First off, this is a high quality brunch spot. The dishes came out quickly and looked beautiful. I mowed my sandwich down (great job on the sunny side up runny egg, chef!) and it was all I could do not to eat all the fries. My father never had a Dutch baby before but he looked like he enjoyed it. My mother doesn't eat much but I tried her hash browns and it was more like a latke with onions and seasoning with them, crunchy exterior was satisfying. I've had a Dutch baby before, this was really delicious and had a hint of sweetness to go with the salt of the bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese. We tried to get in and out as quickly as we could. There were people coming in constantly and with the rain- no patio seating. I said to my parents- this is not an "every week" type brunch place, but it certainly could be once a month. Quality, service, the food- all fantastic! There are a few seats at the coffee bar if you wanna brave sitting at the counter. Support small owned businesses!
So today I wanted to do some pretty girl s**t, so I went to get brunch. The past 3 years, Japan has been obsessed with Dutch Baby (like a crepe mixed with a Yorkshire Pudding). So strange that most US places market Japanese fluffy pancakes, when they are not as popular in Japan as dutch baby is in Japan. Once you try dutch baby you will understand... It's also kinda easy to make at home. I've been making it often using the NYT recipe and putting powdered sugar and lemon on top. Basically, I've now tried all of the spots that serve dutch baby in Metro Atlanta now, the most popular being this spot. The dutch baby pancakes are 5 stars, best I've ever had. High sides, crispy, not too eggy. All other dishes and drinks are 3 stars. They are slammed during all open hours. Minimal tables and no waiting area, just a tiny cafe that didn't expect to be hyped. Food comes out quick and there is outdoor seating.
Worth the ride! If you're thinking about trying this place out, especially for the Dutch baby just do it! We did and it was definitely worth the drive. Went here for a late Mother's Day brunch with another couple and we all loved our dishes. We got two fruit, Dutch babies and one egg and bacon Dutch baby. The presentation is impressive (See attached pictures). One thing to note is there is no alcohol so if you're expecting mimosas or bloody Mary's, you're not going to get it here. The coffees however, are pretty fancy and they have an interesting selection. The decor is very cute It's very bright and airy. Our waitress wasn't the best. I was disappointed in that, but it wasn't horrible. Overall, I'm definitely going back. I want to try the shrimp Dutch baby and a few of the other coffees.

Avocado toast was disappointing and something I believe is not hard to make. Lacked flavor and proper avocado texture/ freshness. Matcha latte was really great tho but would not come back. Great place for aesthetics and a drink/ dessert maybe read more

This place is almost there. They've done a great job at keeping the building clean and having a modern aesthetic. The plate presentation was lovely, however, we weren't overly impressed with the food -- slightly above average breakfast taste. Service was kind, however fairly short staffed. There is no host, so for a first timer it's pretty confusing. A couple parties even left because they weren't greeted after a few minutes. Will give them the benefit of the doubt because it was the Friday before New Years, but was not overly impressed with this spot. read more
We went for Sunday brunch around 11. We arrived just before the rush! There is limited seating, so I wouldn't recommend a party if more than 6. Very cute interior. A good variety of food and drink options, but no alcoholic beverages. Hazelnut latte: taste was okay but presentation is very cute! Also ordered one milk and an extra cup for the kids to share. Smoked salmon toast: loved it! Has a hint of spicy and the acidic made it not feel too heavy. Was a bit hard to eat without everything falling off. Croque madame: very rich in flavor. The fries was also delicious! One of my kids favorite. Special breakfast: requested scrambled eggs inside of sunny side. Good portion size for two young kids to share! They ate everything except for the roast vegetables. Red velvet waffle: not too sweet, but you can add more syrup if you prefer sweeter taste. The candied walnut adds a nice texture. If you're a "Live to Eat" person, Brunch at Peony is a must eat. Period. The chef is able to balance subtle and delicate flavors and nuanced notes with memorable first bite impressions. The food creates a symphony of flavor, each bite making the next spoonful even more delicious. The colours and aesthetics of each dish demonstrates an artistic intentionality that is refreshing and unique, exemplifying the care and attention to detail that the staff makes to provide the best dining experience. We ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict and the Peony Dutch Baby pancake; and both were a revelation! The Smoked Salmon Benedict sets a new standard for the dish. Particularly the Hollandaise sauce and the avocado mousse, the savoriness is complemented by the smoked salmon and crisp sweet croissant which it finds its home. The Dutch pancake is a medley of sweet berries in a gentle embrace by a thin and fluffy pancake. It is a dish that simply begs for another round of pancakes for the table. The owner provides a pleasant ambience that is great for both families and individuals alike. Overall the food and the decor combine to create the experience of a high city living cafe right brought deliberately into one's backyard to save a trip down to Atlanta. I look forward to continuing to visit to explore what new culinary deliciousness the staff continues to develop! read more
Suwanee/Johns Creek doesn't need another nameless nail salon or breakfast chain and Brunch at Peony is neither! I've been eager to see what could fill the shoes of Drēm and BoP exceeded my expectations. Took the girls and got a variety of foods off the menu: 1) the Breakfast Jr 2) the Dutch Baby (fruit/sweet) 3) the Dutch Baby Bacon (savory) 4) the Bulgogi Burger The kids' breakfast is huge. It's a pancake quartered, topped with powdered sugar. The girls raved about it. It's two eggs, scrambled. It's a pan fried hash browns potato pancake, crispy at the edges. It's two slices of bacon. It's fruit and an edible flower. Served with maple syrup. The presentation is beautiful for a kids dish. Brunch at Peony is a slight misnomer; this place is open all week and for lunch as well (not just what can be considered breakfast and brunch), and the burgers are really delicious. I tried the Bulgogi Burger, which infuses some of owner/chef's Korean heritage (Daniel has an interesting story: a Korean-American man who lived a long time in Argentina, speaks at least Korean, English, and Spanish and is a chef!) with a riff on a classic American burger. There's caramelized onions in a Bulgogi sauce, bacon, fried egg, and a tender meat mix (I think pork and beef) that is marinated. It comes with a sauce side and the most delicious potato wedges you've ever had! Then there are the chef's specialties: the two flavors of Dutch Baby. I don't know where else you can find a Dutch Baby around to compare, but think of it as an oven-baked crepe that rises and crisps on the edges like a popover. Everything chef Daniel cooks is done impeccably, from the roasted tomatoes and over-easy eggs on the savory version, to the macerated berry compote that soaks into the fruit version. He makes each bite look like a work of art, and it tastes as good. Speaking of art, the decorations set a level of ambiance you don't expect in a mini strip mall off of Old Atlanta. The peony theme is carried throughout, the dining room is bright and airy, there is a little breakfast bar that looks into the kitchen, and the bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Chill music plays over the speakers with a mix of acoustic, pop, and some KPop that you don't even recognize as being Korean. Lastly, I asked the kids if they wanted Waffle House or "the new breakfast place" and they didn't choose Waffle House...I don't think there can ever be a better review than that! read more

My husband simply called it "breakfast." I... enjoyed brunch! Best savory Dutch baby! I enjoyed this better than the one I had at in-town Saints & Council. Also, presentation/plating is as beautiful as it is yummy. Would love to see a more expansive menu, but they are good at what they have! read more

The food was great and presentation was awesome! Gluten Free bread was available for the wife which is always a determining factor when going for brunch. She got the Avocado Toast and loved it. I got the Croissant Smoked Salmon Benedict. Eggs on both were poached perfectly. Service was quick and attentive. I agree with another comment that upon entering can be a little confusing, not formerly greeted and you are already on top of guests, but I was quickly told by another waiting guest to visit the counter for a table. We visited on a Saturday just before 12, so there was a brief 10 minute wait. Super cute on the inside. Very clean and trendy. Food is very bad. Made a chicken sandwich with frozen chicken.. ate multiple time here but this is worst experience. Waited for an hour to get food after getting seated in the restaurant. NOT BACKING BACK AGAIN.. Thx @brunch at peony for the worst experience ever. read more

So glad I was able to try this brunch spot in Suwanee! The peony dutch baby was amazing! Very filling and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I thought the syrup tasted high quality too! The space is quite small, and has a cafe vibe more than an actual restaurant, but pretty cute inside. My friends who ordered the omelette and their breakfast sampler seemed to enjoy theirs too, so I will definitely come back to try the other menu options! Highly recommend:) read more

Such a cute spot. Been meaning to try it, but haven't been in the area. I finally made it over there today. It was past the brunch rush, so no wait getting seated/service. Wasn't sure what to get, but the lady next to me recommended her meal, so I copied it lol. I'd never had a dutch baby, but I will most definitely come back to have it again. The place is so cute! My fiancé and I stopped in to try something new after church. We were promptly greeted upon entering the restaurant. The staff was pleasant and had a smile on their faces! The food came out quickly and was hot! It was flavored very well and was portioned decent for the price. The cleanliness was top notch! We will definitely be back! read more
This is a really lovely and small sized brunch spot. There are 14 tables that can fit 2 people each, as well as bar seating which can fit up to 3 people. I visited on a Sunday and all the seats were filled. You join the waitlist by writing your name and contact information down in a notebook next to the entrance. I only waited ~10 minutes before getting a seat at the bar, which has a great view into the kitchen. The theme of the restaurant is cute. From the menu to the decor, there are peony flowers scattered around. I ordered the Peony Dutch baby, Chicken waffles and hash browns. The Peony Dutch baby has a round shape. It is covered in powdered sugar and served with maple syrup on the side. The edges of the pancake rise up to form a puffy and crispy golden brown rim. The surface of the pancake has a smooth texture, and it reminds me of a crêpe. The center is topped with strawberries, bananas, and a delicious blueberry compote. For the Chicken waffles, I got the red velvet in the spirit of Valentine's Day. It comes in a beautiful red color, topped with chicken tenders and an edible purple orchid. The waffle and chicken are covered in powdered sugar, with the gravy and maple syrup served on the side. I really liked the gravy, which had a smoky taste. The chicken was crispy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside. The hash browns were also yummy. They were golden and slightly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I'm really impressed with this restaurant. Turns out the head chef is also the owner and you can tell he puts his heart into his work. I got to exchange a few words with him and he was really kind. This place is definitely worth the wait. Everyone in the kitchen is dedicated to making high-quality food. From fair prices, delicious flavors to stunning presentation, I think Brunch at Peony sets the standard for a good brunch. I would love to come back and try more off their menu next time! read more

There is a lot of thought in this restaurant and I'll be coming back frequently to study, eat, and relax! I came on a weekday right when they opened at 10 because I wanted to avoid the weekend brunch crowd. I ordered the peony Dutch baby and it was so good! The food came out fast and the service was good and attentive. I definitely will be back to try out other stuff on their menu! read more

What an awesome place this is! Finished showing a home nearby and this was less than a mile from where we were and we were hungry! Was beyond pleasantly surprised! Loved the food, the ambiance and our bevs-my client's hot cocoa even came out with a slightly toasted marshmallow! Beautiful presentations and delish.
