Support my people! The owners were very friendly and personable, they welcomed us with open arms. I recently just found this treasure of a restaurant after church! The restaurant is boutique in size, but was able to quickly accommodate my large party of 9. The aesthetics are very cutesy with an upscale vibe. There's a bar area if you don't want to sit and eat at a table. There are multiple areas for photo opportunities. The food was amazing! Our group ordered a mixture of things--lamb chops with eggs, fried fish and grits, fried fish sandwich, oatmeal, deviled eggs with caviar, fried green tomatoes, and children's options. The special touch was the Chef (Chef James) coming to each table to check in with each customer and the quality of his food! This has easily become my Brunch "Go-To" spot! I came for brunch on Saturday around 10:30am. We were seated right away, the waitress and host were friendly. The chef came over introduced himself and asked about our food that was nice. The place was clean and pretty for pictures. However the food was average. My waffle is thin and the chicken wings are the smallest I have ever seen. The meal was priced at $24 which is average for Houston area prices but the food doesn't match the prices . It was so small and not filling. The taste was ok nothing that stands out. I just had orange juice and water. I will not they also do not take cash I tried to pay with it so that's something to note if you go. I'm a foodie so a cute spot is not enough for me I want good food and the portion should match the prices. This does not. The three stars was for the service and cleanliness which I appreciate. We visited on a Thursday around 1 PM and were seated immediately, which was a great start to the experience. The decor is beautiful, bright, and very on brand with the "bloom" theme. The staff was warm and accommodating, and it was a nice touch that Chef James came to our table to chat with us. That level of hospitality always makes a restaurant feel special. Now let's talk about the food... chef's kiss. I ordered the Birdies in Bloom, which is their take on chicken and waffles, but I substituted pancakes instead of waffles. I ate every bite! The hint of vanilla in the pancakes was giving life and paired perfectly with the chicken. We also tried the Prawns and Petals, which is such a cute name for shrimp and grits. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, told us it would be a wait, but within 5 minutes we were seated. Our waitress was lovely & very attentive! My husband and I have been to Brunch and Bloom twice and we've throughly enjoyed it. I confidently say this place is a little hidden gem It feels relaxed and easy. Everything we've had has been fantastic!!! The quality of the food and presentation is something you would expect to see from downtown or the Heights. If you're not sure what to order, start with the lamb tacos and go ahead and order some to go while you're at it. They're so delicious and savory, my mouth is watering just thinking about them! I also tried the lamb fried rice, and wow... whatever the chef and cooks are doing back there, they're doing it right. The atmosphere is just as impressive as the food. Every time that we have come to this restaurant and we have been here 8 to 10 times. We are never disappointed in the food or the service. The blueberry muffin is excellent. My husband, son, and I visited today to try this restaurant. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once the food was served. When our meals were brought out, mine was missing. I waited about 20 minutes while my husband and son ate so their food wouldn't get cold. During this time, I was offered a free mimosa twice, which I declined. When my food finally arrived, my side order was incorrect. At that point, I was frustrated and ready to leave. I ate a small portion and requested a to go box so we could go since my family had already been waiting. While waiting for my food, I noticed what appeared to be the owner(s) walking in and out of the dining area. I saw them speak with our waitress, who pointed toward our table, yet no one came over to acknowledge the situation or apologize. Although our waitress informed us that our bill would be discounted, I shared with her that a personal acknowledgment from management would have meant much more. After paying and leaving, a team lead came out to the parking lot and offered a free meal for a future visit. While I appreciate the gesture, I won't be returning. Not everyone is looking for free items or discounts. A simple apology and direct communication from leadership would have gone a long way and likely earned a repeat customer. My Monti Cristo was a few slices of cheap round packaged lunch meat (I couldn't even tell the turkey from the ham) on thick French toast. The potatoes are dry and over seasoned. They forgot to take an item off our total and had to charge me twice after a refund. The mimosa was good. The Caesar salad came with leafy whole lettuce that had to be cut with a steak knife. However the dressing and homemade croutons were good. Then we had to flag the waitress down to get the bill. Besides the hostess, one other employee, maybe the manager on duty recognized we were not happy and brought us a biscuit with blueberry topping to appease us.
