I must admit Lucy is absolutely great at eyebrow threading. She knows what she's doing & is very talented. I've been going to her for a little over 2 years now. I first found her through fb & her place was in Cicero at the time. Perfect location for me since it was a 2min drive from my house. She was always there granted she was popular & I was one of the many that had to wait since it was only walk-ins at the time. I waited because I knew I could NOT trust anyone else. My brows are absolutely perfect now thanks to her & I only need a "clean up" since I already have the shape & thickness because of her. I'm only giving a 4 star because although she is amazing, it is VERY difficult to get an appointment with her ever since she moved her place to Berwyn. I always check online & there's no availability highlighted to book with Lucy at all just only for the other girl she has. I did give the other girl Theresa a try, but was not totally happy. I booked with Lucy a couple of weeks after (when she had finally posted some availability) & was extremely happy. That's when I knew it's only Lucy who can touch my brows. However, as I stated she's does not have any availability posted online which leaves me to wait for her to post when she will be available or find another person how has time. What can I say this place is BOMB!! Theresa always does an amazing job on my eyebrows and on my face wax. She never rashes during my appointment. She's definitely my eyebrow girl. Yesterday I finally decided to try Jasmine for the individual eye lash extension and this girl killed it plus was very understanding when I was a bit late due to traffic.(thanks for the good nap) And Lucy is very pleasant overall as an business owner always has a good atmosphere.So ladies stop complaining about the walk in issue and just schedule an appointment online it takes like two minutes and you'll walk out with amazing eyebrows.. read more

I rate one star, because it has to be rated in order to write a review. Very stupid. So upset with this place. I've heard good things, which is why I even made an appointment. Unfortunately, unless Lucy herself is doing your brows, your in for humiliation. The girl who did my brows had very short hair. I don't remember her name. She sucks at pulling hair. I could have tweeted them one by one and it would have felt better than what she made me endure. Was it her first time doing this??? No one who has ever threaded my brows has gone as slow as this girl - to where it felt like she was pulling one hair at a time and taking forever on just that one piece of hair. Then came the tint. They looked fine under their lighting, until I stepped out. She tinted my skin above my eyebrow shape.. it was ridiculous. I had gotten my makeup done that day and my makeup artist even told me to NEVER go back there. Thankfully I was able to scrub a lot of it off and my makeup artist was able to fix them and make them look AMAZING once again. Never again. NEVER again will I go back there. read more

The first visit was with Lucy, she was very talkative but it wasn't professional conversation. The only thing that came out of her mouth was gossip. I don't entertain gossip with friends or family, i shouldn't have to deal with it when paying for services. She did good with my eyebrows though. I relocated for a job and I couldn't find anyone that I could trust so I messaged Lucy. As a professional, typically, if a client asks you for a recommendation you respond with either a recommendation or you respond with another answer. I heard nothing back so I called the shop only to be hung up on. I had to get my eyebrows done and hadn't had them done in over a year. I made an appointment with Ericka hoping she would be tolerable. While she is good at threading, she is very rough when waxing. She tore off hair from my scalp while waxing my sideburns. How does that happen?! She is abrasive and rude. On a positive note, she spends her time talking with the young lady at the desk therefore NOT engaging me in gossip. I've gone to Ericka about 5 times. She is consistent with her behavior. Expect for her to be rude. Lucy, however, reeks of negativity. I always feel like I'm walking into a toxic work environment. She is not welcoming. Talent can only take you so far, but kindness will take you further. I am sure there are people just as talented with better social skills. I really hate giving a bad review, I actually look forward to giving great reviews to places or calling mangers to tell them what a great experience I had. But unfortunately, I have to put this out, because I was so upset and completely disappointed with my entire exprerience here. Let me just say, The owner here is Completely Unprofessional! I Will NEVER go back, and will never recommend anyone there. I looked forward to going there, let my eyebrows grow out for a month. Went online, tried making an appointment, and could not, because something was going on with her site at the moment. So I called and was told you have to make an appointment on line, I went back on and still could not, so I messaged her and received a response saying I can do a walk in. Next day, I "Walk in" did not get greeted at all. There were several girls sitting and Lucy, was doing someone's eyebrows, screamed from there" do you have an appointment? I explained that I didn't and what happened she tells me "Then something must be wrong with your card" I said "Nothing is wrong with my card she said, we'll people have been making appointments with no problem and then, she said well Teresa called in and I have to finish and I have to get out for an appointment. I said ok. Can I make an appointment now. She said " you have to wait" I stood standing there for several minutes, she finished came to the desk, charges the girl and ignores me, I said well can I make an appt, she is like we'll I don't have time, my credit card machine is giving me problems(mind you a few minutes before, said it was MY card,but couldn't take MY CARD payment at that moment because she was having issues) or you can pay in full in cash. I said well I will pay upfront and then says you can wait until I finish all these girls. Then tells me , she needs a full payment too because if someone doesn't show up, they still will get charged for missing and it takes up time, I gt it but,( it's eyebrow threading appt.10 minutes tops for God sake, not an hour doctor appt)anyways, I had no problem paying up front, but I did have a problem with her making me wait for 5 girls, before she would even take my payment so I can make an appointment and just leave. so,obviously I am not waiting for her to go thru all of these girls so, I left, went on line the next day ( I don't know why , after that experience ) made an appointment with Teresa, went in the following week. Lucy, the owner again, had no professionalism nor people skills. Did not get greeted, was not told, have a seat, nothing ! I sat down after about 10 minutes, I was asked by Teresa, if I had an appointment. I said yes, with you.. Teresa, was more polite, but I was not happy with my brows. After letting them grow for a month, I expected them to look a whole lot better. The were thick enough to have been shaped. Just was not happy and not at all what I expected. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this place, I DO however recommend the owner to take some classes on how to run a business and on people skills. I went somewhere else, to do my brows, and had the best experience, wish I had went to them first. I got my eyebrow microbladed in spring of 2016. I was happy with the results immediately after. It takes a couple of weeks to see the full results. Not happy at all, eyebrow are not even the same shape at all. One is thick and one is thin. One is arched and the other is not. I still have to draw them in every day because you can see one and the other is so light, looks like a 5 year old tattoo. When I went for the touch up I was explained that they will get better with the touch up. Not at all. When I called to explain my problem, I was told I had to pay more to achieve the color I wanted. So on top of my $450 + I have already spent, i had to spend more? No thank you. The pain and money is not worth the end result at all. Lucy really does do a great job at what she does. I have never been upset with her work on my brows! Only thing is she can be very unreliable! This is her own business therefore she makes her own hours which sometimes feels like they are only made to accommodate her only and not actually her clients. Last time I had my brows done by her was back in July. Then she closed her shop and was only receiving clients by appointments (with an additional fee) since she was opening a new shop. Very disappointing! I made a phone call to ask if walk ins were available so later that evening I drove to this location that was recommended by a friend w my 3month newborn. Once I walked in Lucy shouted "we have a no kids policy" I did not see this on their website like she mentioned. I really wanted to give this place a try so I booked an appointment, a credit card was needed and based on their policy after trying to reschedule it says 3hrs cancellation is required and a no show will charge you 100% (keep in mind I booked 1hr before closing time) anyhow at the end I was able to make it to my appointment. I came in and a woman was sitting down, Lucy and Theresa both had customers. They all saw me walk in but none bother to welcomed. I stood there at the front desk for a few minutes so I asked, do I sign in? Do I have to check in with anyone? Lucy, "for a walk in?" No, appointment. "Just sit down" (rude!) so Theresa did my eyebrows and tint. She's was very friendly! But for some reason my eyebrow was burning with the tint, not sure if it was because it had been a while. I'm not allergic to anything (was not my first time). I let Theresa know and she offered to remove tint. I told her it was fine as longest my eyebrow was not turning red. At the end I regret it! the tint was not pretty at all. She did great on shaping my eyebrow but she definitely needs to learn how to do tint. Looking in between my eyebrows you can see one is closer than the other one and Crocked. I look ridiculous! read more

I gave this place on 2 stars because of the customer service. Lucy doesn't seem to portray the position of an owner when it comes to greeting customers at all. She almost seems to brush people off and be very rude and cocky to customers that essentially aren't long term customers. I've been to other places that are bright and cheerful and Lucy is definitely not. I've read her background on permanent makeup and although she seems to do a good job she was taught by Makeup By Erin and that lady is the rudest! Walked in today my daughter had an appointment but I didn't. Theresa kindly explained she wouldn't be able to take me until she took care of all her appointments. I waited but didn't have to wait long Lucy took care of me right away. I never leave there disappointed. My daughter won't go anywhere else to get her eyebrows done. The place is very nice and clean. I wish I would've read these reviews instead of going by the google reviews and thinking that the shows she was featured on meant she was good. All the bad reviews are correct. Not friendly, on the phone or in person. Got my brows microbladed and am not happy at all. Was told the touch up would fix any spots the pigment didn't come back in and that didn't happen. Was told I would have to come back for a third time and pay more after I was told the touch up would be the last for a year. So after both super painful appts., lots of money, and sitting through weeks of an annoying "dry healing" process that I followed to a tee, my brows didn't look real, had faded significantly, and I still need to fill them in so it was pointless. After doing more research I've found that her "dry healing" process is completely wrong and misguided and a wet healing process is the way to go. The hair-strokes are not crisp, they are blurry. I also think she uses cheap pigment since my brows have turned red. Good pigment will always fade to black while bad pigment fades to red. I will be going to someone else in a few weeks who can hopefully help correct these and give me real looking eyebrows. So mad I wasted so much time and money, don't waste yours! read more

Disappointing, I don't understand why so many people in the Berwyn area come here. I went in two times because I really wanted to like this place. The first time I got threaded, and while the shape was okay a lot of hairs surrounding the brow was left untouched. The second time I got waxed and the work was even sloppier. Teresa hardly cleaned up the brows, I could've done a better job myself with a tweezer. An excellent brow service should look neat for more than two weeks. One week after getting my brows done here they already look like they need to be done again. If this is the quality of a simple brow wax/threading I'm not the least bit curious as to what a a tint or a microblading looks like. read more

Save yourself the trip, DO NOT GO HERE! The owner is just plain and simply RUDE every question you ask she answers like if she is doing you a favor. I have been following her since she was in Cicero but her customer service skills do not exist. She does not know hot to address costumers and she has only been getting worse. My last straw was a few days ago,I did not make an appointment to I was waiting my turn and I know how this works so I had no rush, I respect people that have appointments go first and so on. While I was waiting, a lady walked in with her toddler, she was literally screamed at my Lucy "WE HAVE A NO KID POLICY!" the lady seemed very confused then Lucy proceeded to point at the miniature, see through sign she has on her door saying "NO CHILDREN ALLOWED" Lucy then proceeded to tell the lady "We also have it online!" this was such an uncomfortable situation I will not be returning sorry Lucy your work is awesome but your customer service skills are SHIT!! read more

Okay let me start off by saying their work is great. Lucy, the owner, has been doing eyebrows for over 10 years and really knows her stuff. I've never gotten my eyebrows done by the other girl that works there, Theresa, but her work looks really good in pictures I've seen online. My biggest issue is that Lucy is always and I mean always late. Back when her business was in Cicero, and when she would take walk-ins for a lower price, I would arrive 15 minutes before opening time but would still have to wait about 15 minutes (sometimes longer) after opening time until whatever time Lucy arrived. On some days, you could see a line of ladies on Cermak Road waiting for her to get there and open up. This last time I was at her new location, about 2 months ago, I had a 12pm appointment with her. I arrived just before 12pm and as soon as I walk in Theresa tells me Lucy is running late (surprisingly) but should be there shortly. I said, "okay, how long is 'shortly'?" Theresa told me she didn't know exactly but she thought about 5 minutes. I said okay. Lucy did not walk in until after 12:45pm. I really hate writing bad reviews but do feel that Lucy needs to learn how to handle her business in a more professional way by being punctual, greeting every customer that walks in through her door and by not carrying side conversations with Theresa or other customers while working on someone else's eyebrows. The customer service here is lacking. When you walk into an establishment that provides a service, you expect to be welcomed in a warm manner. Not here. Not personal or welcoming at all. On my 2nd visit, Lucy barked the second I walked in the door w/ my child. "No children allowed!!!" That policy was not posted on the website when I made the appointment. The cancellation fee is clearly written down but not the no child policy. So how would a customer know this prior to coming? You wouldn't. My young child and I were shamed and blamed the minute we walked in the door. It's fine to have such a policy, but be graceful and kind when talking to your customers about it. She scared my child. The first time I came in, Lucy remarked how well behaved my child was. He did not make a peep sound the entire time. The brow work is fast and ok. I did the tint and was told that it should last 2 weeks. It lasted 2 days and I was careful not to wash the eyebrow area. The brow work is fine, but the mean rude customer service I received will keep me from returning here. read more
