Norma is the best! Been going to her for years!! SHES AMAZING! The vibe of the salon is amazing! Everyone is so welcoming and fast!

My appointment was at 1pm got there at 1250pm to be moved to another person. I told her how I wanted my eyebrows and this is how she did them and left them. My eyebrows are uneven and not shaped at all. I highly wouldn't recommend anyone going there. Terrible service. read more

Dorthy's Eyebrow Threading Spa - Eyebrow threading - Threading Services Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I just don't understand why when you say you want a clean up, they take it upon themselves to thin out your brows. What can you do once the damage is done? It's so hard to find a place that you can trust. Normally I've had good experiences here but they don't all do a good job. I'm so disappointed and so I upset. read more

Love how my eyebrows came out. Karina was the best. I didn't have a shape when I went there 1st. I came out with a shape

Lulu does an amazing job on my eyebrows and is always so kind! I highly recommend her!!

Wow, wow, wow. I have been waxing for years! I used to go to a corporate place and decided I want to support a local, small business! Dorthy made me feel so comfortable and got me in next day! She was very gentle, made sure she got EVERY hair!! I love her set up, and the extra lights to ensure she can see little hairs! Dorthy made me feel so comfortable and I never felt better leaving there! My skin is so smooth and I feel amazing!!!! She has now gained a new customer and I am so glad she is local! read more

I have been coming here for the passed ten years and all the ladies always do a wonderful job in my eye brows !!! there is no other place I go to but Dorothy's !!! thank you girls for always doing such a wonderful job !!!! Stephanie B read more

Ill start off by saying I have not let anyone touch my brows for the last 4-5 years as I was irritated that everywhere I went to would not listen to how I wanted them and would do them either too thin or really uneven. Also, I have really sensitive skin and a lot of people I used to go to could care less. I have 2 babies and too many things to do that I stopped taking care or myself. Typical mom life, ikr. Anyways, I went in to Dorothys and Michelle took great care of me. Not only did she do an amazing job on my brows but she also listened to how I wanted my brows and especially the fact that I have sensitive skin. She even gave me tips on how to prep before and after. Thank you Michelle you made me feel like myself again. Please ask for her when you go! I wish there was 100 stars! read more

Had an amazing experience! Went in for my first Brazilian wax and it was excellent! Dorthy made me feel important and relaxed. She was very professional and walked me through every single step. I immediately felt comfort and relaxation when walking in the room. I would definitely recommend coming here! I'll be returning not only for an eyebrow threading and tint but also for the Brazilian wax! read more

I've been coming here for years for my brow threading. Always a fantastic job. Great service and staff!

I have been coming to this place with pleasure, all staff are all nice and kind to the clients. Also like the price on the eye browse. I have no preference on to whom is available to do my eye browse. I highly recommend to give a try. read more

Love this place! Girls are awesome at what they do. Love the professional and quality of work.

I have consistently came to Dorthy's for 5 years and have gained them more clients through recommending my friends to come here as well. I love getting my eyebrows done here. But, my only gripe, and why I am choosing to no longer come to Dorthy's, is that I simply do not have the time in my day to wait 25 mins + to get my eyebrows done. The service takes too long. Sometimes there will be 10 people waiting to get their eyebrows done while one person is working. This is how you frustrate and lose customers. My family members and friends have all collectively expressed the same feelings about the wait time here. With that being said, we have decided to take our business elsewhere to another new threading place nearby that is comparable and cheaper. The reason why I am leaving 3 stars is that I loved getting my eyebrows done by Helen and Karen. They are awesome!!! Never left me disappointed. read more

I came into Dorthy's with a knot in my stomach. I was getting a Brazilian (not my first time, but first with Dorthy). I felt anxious and nervous but as soon as she started talking she made me feel at ease. She was absolutely amazing and kind. Her personality definitely made me feel confortable and welcomed. My nerves were gone by the time she started waxing. Her work was clean and less painful than other times Ive had a Brazilian. I also got my underarms waxed, it was a bundle on her website. Brazilian and underarm for $61....very affordable in my opinion. 100% recommend this Spa and Dorthy herself. They are taking every precaution during covid. Masks are required. Also booking on the website is a breeze. Thank you Dorthy!!! I will be back. Ps. To everyone reading this. Please dont forget to tip! These girls are doing an amazing job especially in hard times like now. The least we can do is support small businesses and show our appreciation with a nice tip. Be safe everyone. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. I have been trying to grow out my eyebrows for years and it has been very difficult. At other places they never seem to understand what I want. I went in today and Norma helped me out. Before she started I explained exactly what I wanted and asked for her professional opinion. SHE IS AMAZING. I left with exactly what I wanted and my eyebrows looked amazing. I wish they were closer to where I lived, but Norma is definitely the travel. I will be returning! read more

I called around lunch time to make an appt for later that evening, for a Brazilian wax. Dorothy was able to accommodate me. This was my first time there. Dorothy was extremely accommodating, and made the Brazilian as Easy and seamless as it can possibly get. She's makes you feel super comfortable while doing a super awkward procedure. I will be returning and I definitely recommend her. read more

Not from Chicago so me and my home boy needed a eyebrow place quick and down the street from the hotel. Came across this spot. Walked in, greeted right away, took both me and my boy at the same time and was out within 10 mins. I felt like I could conquer the world after how my eyebrows look. Equivalent to getting a fresh cut from the barber shop. Appreciate the ladies working there and changing my ego levels read more

I just left this place with fabulous eyebrows. I have very uneven eyebrows naturally but not when I leave here.. it's like they know exactly what I need I don't have to tell them anything. I have been coming here for many years and I now bring my 14 year old daughter also. All the ladies do a great job I don't have a preference. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I always get my brows threaded here. I like that they update me via email. Great service

I love this place and the staff is amazing! I've been coming here for the past 9 years. From Brazilian wax to eyebrows it's a perfect place it's very clean always and everyone is always so nice thank you Dorothy ! read more

I was a bit skeptical walking into this Dorthy's, as it's a "party store" too. But, I had some serious catepillars happening on my face and this place is close to my Gram's house. For the longest, I went to a spa in Glenview for my threading - but after relocating my job to the city, that was no longer an option. I've been searching for a good threader since and let me tell you, after going to Dorthy's, I won't go anywhere else. My eyebrows look amazing! I'll gladly take the $9 charge over the $18 I was paying in Glenview also. I wish I could tell you who did them though - I never got her name. Parking tip: if you're facing the storefront, do NOT park in the parking lot to the right (Payless lot) There is a very large sign that states you WILL be towed or across the street (Peaches, Radio Shack). There is a street just left of the shop that will always have available street parking (non-permited) - so you shouldn't get any tickets. read more

Dorothy is such a good thread artist! And on top of that she doesn't charge much, only $9 which is great :) very happy with my brows and will definitely continue going. read more

I wont be back here again. I was greeted upon arrival and asked to get a number. I waited about 20 minutes until i was called to get my brows. The girl that was doing my brows mumbled everything, i asked her a couple of times to repeat herself and i felt like she was mad because i couldn't understand what she was saying. Like, "can you please put your hand in your forehead and one in your eye PLEASE",also it wouldn't hurt if she at least greets the client. As my first time here i really expected a bit more. Really disappointed. Id rather do my brows my self than to be treated like just another customer and rushed out the door. read more

Who would have thought that the southside would have an amazing eyebrow threading place!! I've driven by this place MANY MANY MANY times in the past 5 years and have seen their sign in the window but was VERY skeptical. I previously had my eyebrows threaded by the most fabulous woman close to my old house but sadly when I moved I was tortured by having to find another place. I figured after driving by so many times I would give Dorothy a try. Well thank god I did! She's amazing. She was SO fast and did exactly what I wanted without having to explain (as I did so many times to other) what I needed. I gave this place 5 complete stars! Yes they don't have the best parking situation BUT that is a small price to pay to have someone do my eyebrows EXACTLY the way I want and done quickly. read more

Please hire more people!!!! It's important not to have your customers wait so long! You guys are obviously very popular and good, so please don't ruin something good you have. read more

I stepped in here before New Years Eve for the first time and I loved it!! I've never had my eyebrows threaded before, and I haven't done my eyebrows in general for about two years due to a horrible outcome at a hair salon. I forgot the lady's name that threaded my eyebrows, but they came out perfect!! Definitely don't regret trying this place out!! And for $8?! Can't beat that! read more

Dorthy's Eyebrow Threading Spa - Perfect shaped eyebrows! - Threading Services Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I love Dorthy's! It's literally MINUTES from my house. My brows rarely grow due to over plucking in high school (we can all relate haha), and so I come here every few months for a shape up. Recently started getting a tint as well and it makes ALL the difference! Tint lasts about two weeks, and just make my brows look fuller and so beautiful. I appreciate that they always listen to me, and don't Over thread my brows since they're already not super thick to begin with. Threading and a tint costs only $19! Very cute and cozy place with kind employees. I'll definitely continue coming here! read more

I just happened to drive passed this place and I finally made it in there today. On the outside it says they have eyebrow threading and party supplies. Ummm random? One of the big reasons I don't stop at these little places is parking. There is no parking on Archer and it looks like you can park on the side streets. But I always feel a little uneasy since Chicago loves to give parking tickets. I got a pedi at the place across the street so I just parked there. Anyway, this little store is cute inside. It's decorated really brightly and clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is when I sat down the girl said she'd be right with me. Then for 5 minutes she was writing a list, talking with another girl and putting in a lunch order. How about you take care of all that stuff when customers aren't waiting in the chair? $8 for eyebrow thread. She missed a few hairs but it did the job. Make sure to get the stamp card. If you get it stamped 9 times, the 10th visit is free. I'll probably come back and give this place another shot. read more

This has been my eyebrow threading place for years. You get a punch card for a discount after your 10th visit so make sure to ask for one. I like to come in the mornings before peak hours, otherwise the wait can be a bit. However, I don't mind the wait. They have a TV, coffee, and tea available for you to enjoy while you wait. The staff is very friendly, hygienic, and as long as you are clear with what you want you will love the results. read more

I went here twice. My first experience was great. I got threading and tinting. The ladies were very sweet and did a great job. My second time around the lady left my eyebrows uneven one is thinner than the other and noticeable. She also made them thinner than what they originally were. The tinting was also darker than the 1st time. The lady wasn't friendly and acted like she was in a rush. Will not go back. read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been going there since I was about 16yrs old (going on 4 years now). Dorthy is such a beautiful, kind woman. She has perfected my eyebrows! She even hooked me up with a good facial toner when I went through my horrible teen pimple stage. Lately she was not been in there as much but her sidekicks do an amazing job too. All of them are kind. On weekends or before holidays the wait can get long but it is worth it. The prices are the cherry on top. read more

I love the setup and the staff is every nice. The owner Dorothy herself did my eyebrows. I love them! I use to go downtown to get them done but I'm happy I found a place closer to my house. read more
