The…read moreskimpy salad bar with two choices for hot soup was the skimpiest and the worst I've seen in northern Wisconsin. My side was mashed Redskin potatoes... Surprise... they were sticky like paste and almost room temperature!! my wife and I both had the 5 ounce tenderloin and lemon dill salmon. We both thought the salmon was excellent. We both thought our steaks were fabulous.... probably won't return. Place was a little drab and dreary. They appeared to do no updating from the time that it was Schussler's supper club

Interesting place. For someone coming the first time, it was hard to find. The restaurant…read moreappears to be named Kashiwa based upon this Yelp listing and the cover of the menu. However, that name is not listed anywhere outside the building, the front doors or on the receipt. It appears be called The Landing. Very confusing. We got there shortly after they opened at 5:15 and got a nice table by the window with bay view. They do not have outdoor seating which we had hoped. Beer selection was lacking in craft beer options and had one IPA on draft (Bell's Two Hearted). The menu has seafood, sushi, steaks and pasta. Based upon recommendation from the waitress and most of the pictures on Yelp, we went with the sushi. It took a very long time to get our order - close to an hour. When I asked why it took so long, she said they only had one sushi chef and they can get backed up. Since we got there 15 mins after they opened, it seemed hard to understand how they could be that backed up already. With that said, my bride ordered the Twin Tuna Delight ($18) and I ordered the Tuna Lover ($18) and Tuna Nigiri ($10). We were both pleased with our selections. The place seemed to fill up, so it appears to be a popular place to dine in town.

Huge mound of frozen crinkle cut fries that needed more time in the fryer. Tiny servings of coleslaw and baked beans, which were small and hard but swimming in a tasty molasses sauce. Sweet potato fries were on the menu but not served on Fridays. No iced tea, available only in the summer. Pepsi products. One person had pork chops that were way overcooked and dry. People who had salmon enjoyed it. A very forgettable meal for $18, will not be returning.
