Service is great-Emily is a great waitress and attentive. Food is always good. Steaks cooked to desired liking. Pasta dishes are big. Plated salads-the garlic French dressing was delish! Fantastic! From the drinks to the dessert. We enjoyed a couple Pressed Whiskey Old Fashion Sweets before dinner. Then dinner was a Seafood Alfredo and 8oz tenderloin, that were both perfectly delicious. Service at the bar and at the table was attentive, friendly and engaging. The only suggestions are, cook the veggies less, too mushy. The carrot cake was amazing. The only suggestion there is let it come to room temp before serving. 5 stars for sure! read more

It was a decent night out. Some hits and misses. The hostess was working hard but seemed overwhelmed. Forgot my drink order so I ended up having to get it from my server, 20 minutes after being seated. We were looking forward to the signature prime rib, which had been recommended. They were out. Out of your signature dish at 6:00? Whatever. My ribeye was fine. Incredibly tasty with the spicy blackened seasoning. All of our steaks were undercooked. The medium rare was bloody rare and the two of us that ordered rare got blue-rare: raw in the middle. None of us were bothered by this and the meat was delicious, but no one could have blamed us if we had decided to send it back. The sides were excellent and our server was a gem. A great meal, that started out poorly - the salads that came with our meals was a clump of white iceberg lettuce with a couple of carrot shavings. No tomato, no cucumber, no croutons, not even a bit of cabbage. Embarrassing. The salads at Wendy's are better. It's a good meal out, better than rail house, not up to the level of the Landing or River's Edge, but less expensive. I'll go back and will be sure to have the soup instead of the salad. read more

First off, this restaurant should have been a good experience. It was not good, it wasn't even poor, but much worse. Things started out optimistically on a slight to moderately busy Saturday evening. We walked in, were seated promptly and the waitress was quick to take our order. Things quickly... I mean slowly went south after orders were placed. One of the items ordered was an appetizer with specific instructions to bring prior to the meal. After about 25 minutes our server came out and informed us that our appetizer was in the works of being put down (I am hoping she meant dropping them in the fryer...) All had the potential of making for some fine conversation and some good dining. Then it happened, well nothing happened. Nothing at all, nada, zip. I mean others seemed to be having a good time coming and going, getting dinner rolls, salads, appetizers, main entrees. It looked wonderful! After another agonizing 20 minutes without even seeing our server the manager was finally contacted. She seemed partially sympathetic to our plight as the server suddenly appeared. The excuse for not having our food was that there was a large party in front of us. It must have been such a huge party that a small table of 3 couldn't even get an appetizer, dinner rolls or salads in a 45 minute span. For being in a service oriented occupation I see this as a pretty major flaw. Once we had the opportunity to talk to this elusive being we were informed that our appetizers still hadn't been put down. Yikes! How long until we can eat! Anyways, we expressed polite concern and were toying with the idea of giving up and just leaving. The waitress made us think twice though when the light bulb came on and she said, "hey, I can just pull your order if you want to leave!" Needless to say, we did not let the door hit us in arse on the way out. Sometimes, even though it's days later, I do wonder if my appetizer ever was put down! By the way go to Oconto if in the area for some truly world class service and ditch this disaster. read more

Had dinner on Saturday night. Great food and reasonable prices. They make a wonderful old fashion and have one of the best prime ribs we have tasted in a long time. Our wives had tenderloin steaks served with twice baked potatoes and sugar snap peas. The steaks were juicy and tender. Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

We ate there for the first time today and it was very good. My husband had the pork chops and they were excellent. I had the chicken. It was moist and had a wonderful tasting crust on it. Service was very good. Will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I have tried twice to eat here, but will not be trying again. There are plenty of good restaurants in town, and this one doesn't seem to want people's business! Our first experience at Browns was about two years ago. After finally being asked if we wanted to order a drink, we were basically ignored after that. We had to flag down a passing waitress to ask for menus but she never came back to take our order. We finally flagged her down again to ask for our bar tab and tell her we were leaving, and why. Her response was "ok!" Really?? That's ok?? Last night we thought we would give them one more try. We called to make a reservation and were told they don't take any. That's fine. We got there at 6:30 and were told it would be a two hour wait for a table. The bar area was full of drinkers, but the dining room was empty except for three tables that had people seated ...... what's up with that?? Why can't they get people seated?? We don't understand why and how they choose to do business. It's very odd that they are so content to let people walk out and not care . I've heard from many other people that they've had the same experience. Maybe the food is good -- I don't know because I've never had the desire to wait that long to find out. :( if I could give zero stars, that's what they'd get. read more

I went with a few women and we all seem to order the hamburger but different ways and different sides. I had never eaten there before and the place was kinda run down. I was okay with that. Then when the waitstaff brought out the fried food goodies others ordered, the smell and look of the food made me want my burger because now I am starving. I nibbled on a piece of something one of the other ladies offered me and it was good as fried food normally is unless the grease is old or bad, which this wasn't. then this big mound of meat with some salad things you normally put on a burger to hid the fact there is no meat and what is there is normally not so great. but let me tell you, this thing was as big as a personal sized pizza and could feed 2. It was cooked to perfection, juicy and simply amazing. Best burger I ever had and at a really good price. drink and burger and I walked out with less than a $10 bill. read more
