Interesting place. For someone coming the first time, it was hard to find. The restaurant appears to be named Kashiwa based upon this Yelp listing and the cover of the menu. However, that name is not listed anywhere outside the building, the front doors or on the receipt. It appears be called The Landing. Very confusing. We got there shortly after they opened at 5:15 and got a nice table by the window with bay view. They do not have outdoor seating which we had hoped. Beer selection was lacking in craft beer options and had one IPA on draft (Bell's Two Hearted). The menu has seafood, sushi, steaks and pasta. Based upon recommendation from the waitress and most of the pictures on Yelp, we went with the sushi. It took a very long time to get our order - close to an hour. When I asked why it took so long, she said they only had one sushi chef and they can get backed up. Since we got there 15 mins after they opened, it seemed hard to understand how they could be that backed up already. With that said, my bride ordered the Twin Tuna Delight ($18) and I ordered the Tuna Lover ($18) and Tuna Nigiri ($10). We were both pleased with our selections. The place seemed to fill up, so it appears to be a popular place to dine in town. read more

First , hot delicious buns with whipped butter. Coconut shrimp and sushi for an appetizer... amazing. The sushi was superior quality. Large salad with tomatoes ,cukes, greens with homemade dressing. Entrees were superb ... crab stuffed juicy breaded chicken. and lovely seafood medley. We shared the hot butter cake with vanilla ice cream. Calories well spent!! Nirvanna!. Everything about The Landing/Kashiwa was perfect! We were in Menominee for our honeymoon and went to Kashiwa 3 times for dinner, ordered something different every meal, and were blown away each time by how delicious the food was. The service was also really great and the owner of the restaurant is so sweet! The restaurant itself is also quiet and very clean. You definitely feel like you're in a Chicago restaurant tucked away in a small town. When we're back in town we will definitely be back and sitting at table 12 :) read more

Great Restaurant! Absolutely loved the calamari appetizer and the salad that came with our meals. . My main course (seafood fettuccine) was pretty good too. Loaded with seafood but was very rich, so I had to take some of it home. We didn't have a reservation. but it was early on a weeknight, so we got right in. I did get the feeling that they prefer reservations, and it did end up getting pretty busy before we left. So I guess I'd recommend getting one before you come. Service was great, and the young girl actually had a pretty good sense of humor. So we had some fun with her. Located right on Lake Michigan, so I have to believe that the views are pretty nice in summer (when the sun is up later in the night). read more

Fantastic. Still basically the same decor as when it was Berg's Landing, nicely done dining room with a super view of the bay. We came in for my daughter's birthday. My wife ordered French onion soup, and my daughter and I sushi to start. The only hitch was the soup came long before the sushi, and our entrees immediately after the sushi, so the table was a bit crowded for a while. The soup and the sushi were excellent. I ordered sake nigiri (pictured), and it was really, really good. Entrees: I had the Dutchman platter (pictured). It was really, really good, perfectly cooked and the twice baked potato was wonderful. My wife had fried shrimp, and they were great, definitely bespoke breaded shrimp, not frozen! My daughter had a wonderful plate of sausage and shrimp fettuccine, and my grandson bacon-wrapped chicken off the kids menu. All was very good. We will definitely return for a pure sushi outing! This was our first visit since the change in ownership, and we were impressed! The menu has expanded to include hibachi and sushi while still offering all the favorites from the previous menu. I ordered the hibachi chicken with fried rice, and it was excellent--flavorful, well-cooked, and served in a generous portion (even for a big eater like me). My wife had the petite filet, ordered medium rare, though it leaned a bit rare in my opinion. That said, it was still a fantastic steak. To top it off, we shared the tempura deep-fried cheesecake for dessert, which was absolutely phenomenal. We'll definitely be back! read more

Berg's Landing was quite the unexpected supper Club find located on the Bay just into Michigan. We were in the area on a Saturday night and were looking for a last minute place to grab a bite. We found Bergs Landing online with solid reviews and thought why not. Little did we know that despite the small town, this is the fine dining place where it's at. We found it quite busy and thought we were going to be turned away, just when someone called to cancel a reservation. Talk about timing. We had the French onion soup, which was just the right amount of melted cheese. The dinner salad was the type that you share for two. We each had the ribeye and talk about deliciousness. Prepared perfectly and just melt in your mouth. Berg's Landing is not located within our usual stomping grounds, but if we find ourselves in the Marinette/Menominee area looking for a steak Berg's Landing is where we'll be headed. read more

Took my daughter there for her birthday. The previous year the dinner was great. This time, not even close. We'll over $100 for 2 steaks and potato. That was it. Besides being filled with gristle and fat it was virtually inedible. While the atmosphere and service was nice you go for the food. We were worried to visit since the change in ownership and menu differences, but that stopped when we went tonight. Everything was wonderful, the sushi is the best! The same landing menu items haven't changed except getting a salad with most entrees (it's now just a side). Berg's is a fantastic 5 star restaurant. They welcome you in with a big warm smile! The restaurant is such a beautiful place located off the lake. We normally start with one of their cocktails. Their menu has a nice variety of items fresh seafood , chicken, and steaks. We enjoy the appetizers of walleye strips and shrimp cocktail as well as the fresh made bread. Every meal we ordered came out perfect!! We've been coming here for years and look forward to many more years of visiting Berg's when we visit Michigan. Love this place. It's an upscale restaurant in Menominee with a full menu. I do wish there were a few more vegetarian options, but the stir fry is delicious. I do wish I could get half an order though but they do not offer that as an option. One order of stir fry is enough to feed me for three days and as I don't enjoy leftovers, that's a negative point. The salad comes quickly and the breadsticks are very good. Staff is always very friendly and the restaurant is laid out nicely. read more

I can't say enough about this great restaurant. We were just passing through Menominee for the night and were looking for some place nice to have seafood. Ambiance was very nice and the staff were welcoming and treated us first class. We had salmon and the lobster both of which were pretty amazing. The salad was served elegantly and was delicious. Okay. This was a TREAT for me. We took the boat across the bay to get to this restaurant for a friends birthday. Really nice place. Nice location. Beautiful view. Great ambiance. Menu has many choices and all sound delicious! I ordered the crab cakes. It came with red potatoes but was only given two in a small ramekin. Unlimited bread and salad came with the meal. The crab cakes were splendid! Definitely crabby. The bread was scrumptious and was a great filler because it felt like the plates were a bit small. The unlimited salad was pathetic. I've included a picture. It looked weak and tired and sloppy. I wish I had included a pic of the crab cakes. One complaint: I ordered a Cosmopolitan drink but it wasn't made correctly which was a disappointment. First of all it was weak and tasted like it was made with grapefruit juice. When one of the members of our party, who bartends at a very high end location and has years upon years of experience mentioned this, we found out that they make their Cosmos with real lime juice. He asked the server for a corrected drink. She replied "don't offend me by asking us to put Roses lime instead of fresh lime into the drink". So I had water instead because the drink was made incorrectly. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The dessert tray was divine! Wish I liked dessert!! Was in town on a business trip in Marinette, which had limited food selection, and ventured to Michigan (10mins) to check out the local seafood. The flavor of the seafood definitely differs from other areas but still nothin short of amazing. The oyster were more on the sweeter side versus salty (preferred) but delicious none the less. Twice baked tater, Yumm Salad with strawberry vinaigrette and it was a spring flavor in deep winter. Mmm thank you. I had the ribeye. Ordered med rare but received medium. No complaints. Excellent service starting with the host (who was very informative about menu) through the waitress then server. Trip advisor recommend it so we knew we couldn't loose. Rib eye with shrimp & scallops was off the chart. Wife loved her seared salmon and our friends who had blackened white fish cleaned their plate . Ample salad and ample bread with dinner. My husband and I went here about a week ago to celebrate my 80th birthday belatedly - they were closed in April, of course. Our steaks were wonderful as always and we loved being able to go there once again. The Covid-19 situation was very well addressed - masks required away from the table, tables spaced very well and social distancing applied. We felt very safe. The sad part was seeing the restaurant wasn't very busy compared to how busy it usually is. I really hope this wonderful place survives all this. read more

This place was amazing! Everything was wonderful about our experience and my husband and I highly recommend this place. We went there yesterday evening at 5 and were seated right away. The restaurant ensures that everyone is seated socially distanced from other guests and masks are required to be worn to get your seat. I had previously seen a recommendation of their Jalapeno Margarita so my husband ordered one and I ordered the Mango Jalapeno Press. Both drinks were incredibly delicious! We were both happy to see that twice baked potatoes were offered as a side so we each ordered that with our meal. He had the Canadian Walleye and I ordered the Starboard Chicken. We both really enjoyed our meals thoroughly and the bread that is served with the meals was outstanding as well! Last, but not least, was the service. Miranda was our waitress and she was so incredibly friendly and made our experience even that much better!
