We celebrated my birthday with a lovely lunch at Sevmar Bistro in Salem. Everything was delicious!…read moreWe all ordered the chicken kebab with rice, grilled vegetables, and a side salad, and for appetizers we shared pita chips with hummus and pita along with spanakopitas. For dessert they surprised me with a birthday slice of carrot cake, which was the perfect sweet ending. The space is beautifully decorated with floral aesthetics and a bright, welcoming atmosphere. There's even a real London red phone booth outside the entrance, and we each got a cute red phone booth keychain to take home, which was such a fun touch. For drinks, my friends tried the special martinis while I had the raspberry fizz, which was super refreshing and perfect for welcoming the spring season. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and attentive. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The only tiny con was the music overhead was a bit loud... let's just say at one point our table conversation sounded more like we were at an indoor concert than having lunch. Another small downside was the bathroom situation--there seemed to be only one or two stalls for men and women, so there was a bit of a wait Overall, it was a wonderful birthday spot!

Underwelming experience at Sevmar. It was Friday evening and we got right in without a reservation…read more We were seated and then the person that seated us told us were could not sit there, and then We were seated out in the back room. It was very loud- club music going, people talking loud over the music, and screeching children that did not want to be there. Tables are very close togther as well. We ordered the cabbage rolls, chicken kabob, and haddock. The server brought out the wrong dinner- was corrected, Cabbage rolls came and they were warm and tasted well- good with the thin pita bread that was on the table. Salad- nice and fresh and nice homemade dressing. Iceberg lettuce was kind of boring. Chicken kabab was nice and tender and flavorful- a good portion. It came with thin fries and grilled peppers and onion. Overall the food was decent- not sure I would want to come back here anytime soon as there are plenty of other options here in Salem.

The food was a mix -- the churro dessert with dipping sauces was amazing, and the sweet & spicy calamari and seabass with fried rice were decent but could have used a bit more flavor. On the other hand, the tacos and fried chicken nuggets were so good -- I wasn't expecting such big portions for starters, but they definitely exceeded expectations Overall, it's a pretty spot with a fun vibe. Parking can be tricky sometimes, but they have a nearby floor you can walk from or valet. Would definitely come back for the rooftop and the standout appetizers! Such a sweet hostess and the waitress are gems. Great service here

Great signage leading up to the rooftop. The hostess was excellent, very welcoming and kind. We chose to sit at the bar and I think that was a mistake. It took the two male bartenders around 10 minutes to even acknowledge us as they were both talking to a manager-like person on the other side of the bar and the female bartender was actually busy making drinks. I will say the female bartender was very attentive, I can't say the same for the other two during our time there. The drinks themselves were lackluster, we were planning on ordering some apps but the bartender never asked, nor did not come back to check on us at all. The female bartender came around and asked if we needed anything when we were looking for the check. I'm not sure we will be return. Very disappointed for such a swanky place.

We had a party of 7 and we were very excited to finally try Dreo. We started with 2 orders of the calamari and the spinach dip special. My husband noticed the calamari also had shrimp which I am allergic to. They happily removed the shrimp but unfortunately it's fried in the same oil (which is completely logical) but everyone at our table (besides me) throughly enjoyed the calamari. I cannot even begin to explain how good the spinach dip was. I'm not sure I'll have want to eat spinach dip without garlic bread again!!! Next up entrees: 2 ribeyes, 1 NY strip, 1 Korean BBQ Bowl, 1 Soy Maple Glazed Salmon, and 1 Tuscan Fried Chicken. I am newly pregnant and to be honest I was not looking forward to eating out because my go to is rib eye but I refuse to eat well done meat so instead I ordered the Tuscan fried chicken. I also asked to sub the mashed potatoes for truffle fries and the veggie medley for green beans. They had no problems with my requests which I loved. I loved every single bite of my chicken and I actually stopped caring that I was missing on steak! In fact every single person at our table loved everything they ate too. We ended our meal with cookie skillets and again absolutely delicious! Now our meal was fantastic by itself but I have to say our waiter Brett was just as amazing!! He couldn't have done a better job and he totally rolled with our parties over the top personalities. Even if the food wasn't outstanding we'd go back just for the service! I really hope of the owners or managers see this; Brett is fantastic and deserves praise!! We will definitely be back and since I still have about 7 and half months to go I will be coming back for more Tuscan fried chicken soon!!

Have been to this location as the primary gust at least 5x since opened and countless as a guest as well. I would say the meals are usually very good HOWEVER, on holidays I would caution against this place. The food and even the mixed drinks are just off. The General Partner came over when drinks were returned on NYE and we told him they still were off and to just bring Bailey's and we would add it in. He said "that is not how we typically do it but I will get it for you and check back over." Someone else brought it over and we never saw the General Partner again. I guess he really didn't care...... Cream spinach had ZERO taste to it and we really didn't touch it. When they came to clear the table and they asked if we wanted to take it home would have been the time to ask questions but that didn't happen either. Steak and Scallops were as expected and the french fries were crispy as requested. Otherwise, not worth the price of admission on this night. The other really bad night was Mother's Day and that was a disaster from start to end. When another suit came over with the check and the only comps were the drinks and the Baileys he said "Well it is our first NYE and always things to fix." At this price point get it together before the customer shells out the same money regardless of the day of the week or the holiday on the calendar.

And it stays hot! It is served with four tortillas and sides of guacamole, cheese, salsa, beans and rice. Every bite was excellent. We rolled out of there completely satisfied and with a take home box. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The decor and music were spot on the Mexican theme. We are definitely returning.

I'm grateful just for that. Restaurant was clean and comfortable, music was culturally appropriate, but not too loud. Service was great. Waiter making sure needs were met and responded quickly to every request. Nice guy... I really liked the upfront chips and dip. I'm not sure what the dip was exactly, but it was really nice. We both had carne asada. Hers was regular, mine was the steak tampiqueña. Both were excellent. The Spanish rice as a side dish was also very good, not treated like a write off. The refried beans were older, end of the day, but still decent. Grilled veg, the little side salad, it was all good. I'm very satisfied with the price to quality/quantity. Free chip refills... It was really good. Took dessert home, haven't eaten it yet. So.. IL be back. Thank you!
