This little coffee shop is adorable! I loved the set up and aesthetics. They had a great menu selection with some seasonal drinks. I was tempted by those but when for a dirty chai, which was super tasty - the perfect balance of sweet and spiced with a kick of espresso. The staff were friendly and served me with a smile, and even though they were busy, my order came out quickly. I'll definitely stop in here the next time I'm passing by! read more

My favorite place for coffee and chai in the entire Charleston and Mt Pleasant area. Their dirty chai is my go to and so flavorful. It's the only place I know of that somehow doesn't dilute the chai spices with milk no matter what size you order. Always perfectly balanced and delicious, both hot and iced. I've tried their Mexican mocha, white mocha, peppermint bark latte, etc and all have been great. I've never tried the baked goods but they look good. Staff is always super friendly and they have a rewards system! There is free parking in the adjacent gravel lot and they have daily popups with a variety of vendors including Tres Palmas Açaí, Bked donuts, and Charleston crepe company to name a few. Would highly recommend. read more

Loving brown fox coffee! The lavender vanilla latte was delicious and the staff was so friendly and conversational. There is an adorable outdoor area with fresh floral arrangements. A touch of Spanish moss on the trees outside also add some charm though the whole place exudes it. AMAZING COFFEE!! Highly recommend the Chai Tea Latte, it is one of the best Chai Latte's I've ever had. Mexican Mocha was a bit spicy and an interesting mix of flavors, would not recommend. My barista was Maddie & she was very kind and helpful with my first time ordering here! Love the atmosphere and the fact that you walk up and order outside! The second you step out of the car, you can smell the delicious aroma of the coffee beans. The barista's were incredibly nice and guessed what drink I wanted before I even knew what I wanted and it was delicious. Pro tip- sit under the umbrellas bc there are angry squirrels in the trees who bombard you with acorns. Still 10/10 would recommend. 5 stars all day. read more

Love this coffee! Got a bag of the Toasted Macaroon. WHAT! This is some good stuff. I took the bag to work with me, and everyone is raving about it. It is so fragrant and full of flavor. I think I may have to stock up, and then I'll be popular with all the cool kids at work. lol Biz is such a sweet young lady, and her taste buds are keyed in as to what makes some good coffee. Super cute, somewhat hidden spot. My sister and I were trying to avoid the rain and didn't realize this has an outside ordering window, but they have a good overhang so it wasn't too bad. The girl at the window was friendly and cheerful even on a gloomy day and worked with my sister to find the right drink for her. They had a water bowl outside for dogs (as a pet owner, this is always appreciated!) and the treats looked yummy. I'll bring my pup next time I go. read more

Came to the Mt. Pleasant/Charleston area for my honeymoon in mid-August. My wife has a love for coffee so we tried a few of the coffee shops in the area during our stay. We came to Brown Fox for breakfast and coffee one morning. We both got this chocolate croissant/danish thing while she got a latte and I got a cappuccino. The coffee was good, which is the most important thing for a coffee shop. But I was most surprised by the chocolate danish! Boy was that thing good, and big too! Every bite was delicious and I was pretty full by the time I finished mine, and I am the type of person to finish everyone else's meals after I finish mine. read more

Wonderful little coffee shop! I am excited to make another stop and take advantage of the outdoor seating. But it's also so close to Shem Creek, that taking your drink to go and walking around by the water is a great temptation as well. Or grab some on your way to SI. Easy access at a stoplight, right off a main road. Ample parking for the size. Pick-up window with picnic tables, etc. It's a perfect fit for the beachy area. Love the style. Super friendly baristas (refreshing! thanks, ladies!), delicious drinks. Baked good available. There was even a paleo coffee cake. I do wish it'd been a larger slice for the price, and because it was yummy. read more

This place is a contender for the best coffee in Charleston. What's great during this time - they have tons of outdoor seating, hand sanitizer and all wearing masks. There's also Easy parking. They have great lattes ( lavender too), cold brew and pastries - I love the pasta straws too. You can't miss it because there's always a line even at 7:30 on a Saturday morning - don't worry it moves fast. Also, they have local food trucks and pop ups for bagels and other foods on the weekend to supplement the coffee. read more

With all the cool coffee shops popping up everywhere, finding one that stands out can be challenging. Brown Fox serves the best coffee I've ever had in Mt Pleasant. Add to that their nothing-but-fruit smoothies and I'm alllll in. The location, at a stop light, is central and has tons of parking. The building is adorable and cool all at once. Order at the front window, sit on the bench for a short wait and go to one of the picnic tables on the side of the building to enjoy. REALLY enjoy. Bring your pup. Lots of people do! This is definitely my favorite coffee place in all of Charleston! Both their coffee and frappes are awesome, their customer service is friendly and efficient, and the seating area is really cute. They accept all cards and cash. Also they use pasta straws which are way better than the paper ones bc they don't melt! It's about four minutes out of the way of you're going to Sullivan's Island, but would totally recommend the detour! read more

3 stars is the absolute best I can do. Coffee was just ok. Food offerings were very limited and the cinnamon roll I had did not seem fresh. Patio experience was noisy. Metto down the street is a better option. My standard is 3 other locations - Scout in San Luis Obispo, Dune in Santa Barbara and Prospect in Ventura. read more

Fun, funky, friendly place to grab some delicious coffee. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the coffee is DELICIOUS! I highly recommend the Mexican brown fox mocha. There is a walk up bar where you place your order and a really nice outdoor seating area to relax and enjoy your brew of choice. We began building the Brown Fox Coffee truck knowing that we wanted a mobile shop that could got to events around the Charleston area but also, that could stay put during the week and serve "regulars" day in and day out. The Bodega platter was a good basic breakfast - two eggs any style, bacon, home fries, and sourdough toast with jam. They had TVs playing cartoons, which was great for the kids. Meanwhile, the shots I originally saw pulled sat untouched at the machine for about two minutes (100% expired at that point). It was a confusing process and honestly, pre-pulled espresso just doesn't taste fresh. As for the drinks themselves, they were overly sweet. The vanilla latte had an odd banana flavor, and the Purple Haze tasted chemical (ironically). Overall, I won't be back for drinks. I've heard great things about their beans, so it's a shame I didn't get to experience a fresh espresso shot
