I've been here a couple times now and the food and service are both great. It's a cozy dining area, we prefer the booths. I got the NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly as ordered. Green beans were great as were the mashed red skin potatoes. The hand breaded mozzarella sticks are probably the best I've had. read more

What a Wonderful Meal!!! I've been many times, but it was a first for my friends. I told them that we MUST start with the mozzarella sticks. Ya'll, they are HUGE! Best ones I've ever had. One friend and I shared the Carolina Chicken dinner. Plenty for 2 people especially after eating the appetizer and complimentary yeast rolls. Second visit to this establishment. First was impressive. Unfortunately, the second was a complete failure. We went there at 5pm on a Saturday night. I was so disappointed and embarrassed because I took out-of-towners. They were out of three items on the menu. They brought our dinners without bringing our appetizers. I also could not believe they served me frozen okra. One of the guests ordered sweet and sour chicken....the rice was mush, very few vegetables and was swimming in sweet and sour sauce. The manager responded "oh, it's new...next time ask for less sauce". What is in the world is a country restaurant attempting to do Chinese food!!!! We will not be returning. Lastly, it was 35 degrees outside and the restaurant was freezing. The ac blowing on us as well as another table across from us. They complained and we complained. We were told it was because " the staff was hot". Management clearly is the problem here because neither the front nor the back of the house was operating as it should. We skipped dessert and went somewhere else....that was atleast a $60 loss for the restaurant. What a shame. read more

We had some good friends come visit us from out of town a couple of months ago. I raved about this place to them saying they will love it. Boy, was I wrong and we were totally embarrassed. Not only was it the worst service we had experienced by any restaurant since I can't remember how long, (our server absolutely had no clue), for the money, the portions were very small as well. We got a song and dance from the manager saying that three people called in sick and so on. Blah, blah, blah! He never even tried to apologize and gave us a bit of an attitude to boot. I was seated quickly and service was great! They didn't have the wine I initially ordered, but my waitress, Faith, came right ack with the menu to ask what I wanted as a replacement. Faith recommended the macaroni and cheese, and she was right! It was creamy and tasty!! The quality of the meat was very good, and it was well seasoned! But the cut was a little thin and over cooked. On vacation for Christmas and new years and other restaurants had a long wait. Brothers seated us immediately and wow everything was fantastic. Best and largest mozz sticks ever. I can see why they call them cheese logs. Chicken parm sirloin tips pulled pork and red fish were fantastic as were all the sides. Kids loved the spiced apples. We were a bit worried when the sign on the front door says be patient with us as we are having a hard time training our new staff or finding staff. We were seated at the very front by the door with a party of 6. We placed an order of fried catfish with mac n cheese and onion rings, pulled pork sand and fries, cheese burger wrap and fries, whiskey burger with okra, traditional burger with no salt fries and beer cheese burger. It did not take to long for our order to come out. We had a few mistakes, french fries instead of okra and salted instead of unsalted fries but both were corrected quickly when brought to waitress attention. The food was all very good and the waitress we had was excellent as she was on top of all the issues and very friendly and personable. Would recommend to come back. The best meal we had while in the area! No wait, pleasant atmosphere, not loud, excellent food and excellent service. Two in our party got ribeyes which were cooked perfectly. Added the "drunken", which was sautéed onions and a whiskey glaze with bacon crumbles. It was delicious with just a hint of sweet. Mashed potatoes served with side of white gravy. Feb 19 - Please see my first review for context. Second time was less appealing than the first. :-( I really want to like Brother's, but I can't after two attempts. My Bride and I both had horrible entrees there. I had a simple Burger and Fries; she had Chicken-fried Chicken. Both were cold (fries too). The Hamburger was either past-due meat or seasoned with something very unusual. I first removed the Fried Green Tomato, then the Bacon to eliminate them...it was the meat. I only ate a few bites and would've sent it back but we were with a large group and I didn't want to inconvenience them. My wife's CFC appeared to be a pressed pattie rather than a sliced breast. The gravy was pasty and bland. Others in our party said the Potato Soup and Reuben Sandwich were good, and the Chicken Tenders looked good (I didn't hear any feedback on them). The brightest spot was the service and pulled the review to 2 Stars. Drew did an outstanding job attending to all of us for a lat lunch and the many requests and questions. read more

The food here was amazing. The appetizers of fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks were very tasty. Large mozzarella sticks that were hand battered. Haven't tasted anything like them. The mushrooms were good too but the horseradish sauce took it to another level. I ordered the fried chicken with the white gravy, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and the corn niblets. The mashed potatoes were on point, very yummy. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I didn't care for the gravy however the wife did like it. My wife ordered the blackened trout dish with a baked potato and fried green tomatoes. Everything on her plate was delicious. Lastly the peach cobbler was also very good. I can't remember a meal like that in such a long time. Last but not least, our server, Braxton, was giving some off the charts service. All of the food was fresh, tasty, and as described. We split two yummy desserts, one lemon and one chocolate. I went here for dinner while on vacation in the area. It was a 15 minute wait on a Thursday night. When we were sat there was some confusion as to who was our server. After about 15 minutes more some of the servers realized something was going on. Our server quickly apologized and boy did he make up for it. We ordered our food and drinks immediately and he brought us a salad to share that was on the house. We didn't expect this, but was very happy to accept. Our food came out quickly and was exactly how we wanted. The taste was absolutely delicious and cooked exactly how we asked. Then to our surprise our wonderful server bought us dessert and that bread pudding was AMAZING! I highly recommend this place. They don't answer the telephone. This is my first ever 1 star review. I'm sure Bobby the owner is a great guy, and I hate throwing shade at a local small business but the hostess and host were really unprofessional. I was waiting for our $18 shrimp scampi (which I was told would take 10 minutes but took 20). As I was waiting on my food at their front bench indoors, I overheard the older gentleman host make a comment about someone tipping and how, "everyone should have experience working at a restaurant so they know how to tip." That's a horrible thing to say even if someone was a cheapskate. We're in a pandemic, and not everyone can afford to tip 20% for overpriced food. Oh. And I asked the hostess if their phone was broken because they didn't pick up multiple times at multiple different times. The same older host gentleman in a mask up front made a snide comment to the young hostess jokingly saying, oh the phones must still be out of service. There were 2 people at the front counter dedicated to welcoming guests. WhileI appreciate a restaurant having dedicated staff to welcome patrons, not answering the phone is not acceptable for to go orders. I hope they decide to actually pick up the phone or get it fixed sometime soon. read more
