What a hidden gem! We stopped in after a long day of work and was shocked by the amazing service from our bartender Evan! Not only that the food was top notch! Service staff is efficient and very friendly! This place is very popular. It's packed at 5:45pm for dinner. We waited for 45min. Food: - bread and butter: they are very generous on bread and butter. Bread is nice and warm/hot. They serve two different types of butter. Kids love the one with honey of course :-) - country fried steak: very thin, portion is on the small side. Gravy is good! It's $10 only! - fried pork chop: excellent dish! It's crispy outside and juicy inside. There are two thick pieces on the plate. Really filling and delicious! - beef liver with onion: this is the first time I tried beef liver. It's cooked really nicely and together with caramelized onions. It's just perfect! - shrimp Alfredo: we ordered it for kids and we end up eating nearly everything! The sauce is awesome. This is one of the best Alfredo sauce I had. We ate so much food and had 5 alcoholic drinks and the bill was only $100! Will definitely come back! 4 star because ribs (on the special menu) were sold out. read more

This is an awesome place to eat! Shout out to Holly who let us come in and eat even though it was almost closing time! Our waitress Bailey was very sweet and helpful! The mozzarella sticks: wowee wow wow! The fried pickles were so good! The sweet Carolina chicken was out of this world! We had macaroni and cheese and fried okra as our side. My husband and I shared the appetizer and the meal, because it was so much food! Definitely would recommend this place! Not only is it delicious, but the view is amazing! I wanted to have a memorable dinner with my wife to celebrate a special occasion so I called brothers to see how they could help. They were super accommodating made some great suggestions and everything went off without a hitch. The food was incredible the service was terrific and the restaurant itself was clean and has a great ambience. I also think it is pretty cool that they use locally produced alcohol for most, if not all, of their selection of adult beverages. Easy 5 stars! read more

Good homestyle food, I had a Reuben my friend had the trout. Reuben was excellent. I love0 a good Reuben and I could only finish half. Fries that came with it were some of the best. I've had. The seasoning on them was awesome Now for the trout. Comes with two sides. The trout was excellent except the seasoning salt. The fish was grilled perfectly, but on about half of the fish the seasoning salt was burnt, but not the fish. Fish was fine as long as you didn't eat it with the seasoning. Suggest that you ask for the seasoning salt on the side and put it on yourself. Let the cook create his masterpiece of fish without adding a dash of disaster. (That was the only word I could think of). Service was excellent! James was our guide and did a perfect job. The kind of service you like, checking at the right time, etc. Oh. One last thing. The mac and cheese. I didn't try it but my friend described it to me saying it didn't come out of a can but was a little velveeta tasting, so maybe the macaroni was made in the kitchen but the cheese didn't seem to come from a cow. This place was surprisingly awesome! We weren't sure what to expect really, as this was our first time to Brother's, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quick seating, nice host, and our AWESOME server, Dani! I mean seriously lightning speed refills, and we really appreciated her suggestion to get our orders in quickly (I was hemming and hawing over the menu LOL) before her other table, a 10-top, got their order in. That was super helpful because she knew our order would take a bit longer, had we waited! Also -- the free rolls before dinner are AMAZING. And the honey butter they serve with them.... I wanted to take extras home LOL! We ordered the prime rib sandwich, a chicken fried steak meal, and shared the S'mores cheesecake. We have only been here twice. The first visit was unremarkable but this last visit, 9/8/2022, was very disappointing. I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, broccoli and red potato mashed potatoes. The broccoli was flat out cold and the steak was well done. Aside from that, it was not a true filet. It was flat and fatty. The manager quickly corrected the issue (albeit making excuses before taking it back), but still, $35 for a subpar filet was disappointing. My husband's fried shrimp was very good but the corn was obviously canned corn and not seasoned at all. It would have been a nice to have something comped for the poor food quality, but that was not offered. We will probably not be back. read more

I'm so glad people recommended this place! We made a day trip to Hiawasee and had no clue where to go. This looks like a quaint little restaurant but it's even more beautiful inside. The food was fantastic! We ordered the grilled chicken with spinach and feta, chicken alfredo, chopped steak, and the country bowl with steak (like Shepard's pie). Our kids chose a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. It was so affordable, I was blown away by the quality of food for the price we paid. I will recommend it and also keep coming back! read more

This was our second time eating at Brother's. We are from out of town and visit this area a few times a year. We went around 6:30 in the evening and it was busy, but we were seated immediately. We ordered the fried pickles to start. They were big 'ol pickles and were tasty paired with the ranch dressing. We were given fresh, hot rolls with regular butter and honey spread. Yummy! I ordered the chicken fried chicken. The chicken was a good sized piece. The batter was a bit thick but it tasted good. The fried okra I ordered as a side was bland. I usually eat all of the okra, but I only had a few bites as it lacked flavor. My second side was a sweet potato and it was baked well. With a dab of butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon, it was pretty good. My husband ordered the country bowl. Don't recommend. He said the mashed potatoes were pasty and it had way too much gravy on top. It wasn't his favorite dish. Our server, Alanna, was a star! She was quick, always kept our glasses full, and was attentive to us during our meal. They have a variety of dishes on the menu, from salads, to burgers, to country meals and pastas, so there should be something for everyone. I recommend checking it out. read more

The prices have gone way way up. Salmon wow. $$$$! For our table we all noticed that the chicken entrees were so small that it really needed two pieces of chicken not one small piece. This was our second trip to Brother's. I had such a great Black and Blue salad several months ago, I had to have it again. This time it did not come with the hard boiled egg. I should have said something earlier to the server, because it really makes the salad. That said, it was still very good. Great portion of steak. Everything was amazing. Fried green tomatoes were perfectly cooked. The Reuben was the best one I've ever had. The pastrami was slightly charred which gave it great flavor. I had a side of potato salad that was not tart and not bland, the perfect balance really. My husband had a bowl of mashed potatoes topped with corn, crispy chicken, and brown gravy. My parents recently just moved here and I wanted to take my mom out for her birthday. I googled nearby restaurants and noticed that Brother's had tons of positive reviews and feedback, so we decided to try it out... and let me tell you this place was INCREDIBLE!!! The food was amazing (we had the rainbow trout, country bowl and hamburger), and our server Haley was such a sweetheart and gave us the most incredible service! Also, the manager Michelle stopped by not once, but twice to check on everything. And to top it all off... I had mentioned to Haley when we first got there that we were there for my moms birthday... well, before we left they brought out the most delicious dessert we had ever had for her! Been here many times and me and my wife usually get the same thing the Chicken pecan salad which is really good, but tonight she got something different which was a big mistake. She got the sirloin tips with southern green beans, the southern green beans were a joke they were straight out of a can with no flavor, just terrible. My partner and I always stop in here for dinner when we take our motorcycle trips up to the mountains. I don't know if it's because we're usually starving and tired from long days of riding, but the food always tastes GREAT. It isn't fancy, it's just consistently delicious. We have not had one thing that hasn't been exceptionally tasty and of high quality. The steaks are fantastic as are the burgers. Salads are delicious and the crab cakes make a great appetizer. Fresh rolls are tender and served warm upon arrival. ***BREAD PUDDING...just get it. It. Is. Amazing. The service is very friendly and accommodating and the prices quite reasonable. Very special shoutout to staff member Heath for always making us feel welcome and ensuring we have a wonderful experience- he is a true gem.
