The food and service is excellent! I've been going to this restaurant for several years now and taking friends with me. Good service and great food, until recently. I went there with a group of friends and family (11 of us), five different families. The server was a nice woman who did everything in her power to make us feel good. But here's what happened: We asked for coffee with milk or cream but had to drink it black. The milk was curdled and it ruined our coffee. It was thick, like pouring oil based milk in the coffee. We all paid separate checks. When the checks came in it surprised us with a "Credit card processing fee" for which we were not advised ahead of time. No cash option. We must've spent close to $1,000.00. My own check for two people was over a hundred dollars and they added the fee to all five checks. They also added a 20% gratuity to each check, which understood, there were 11 of us. How ever they had the nerve to ask for an additional tip on top of that and suggested a tip as high as 25%. That would have made the gratuity (tip) 45% of each bill. Even a 15% tip on top of the gratuity would have been 35% of each bill. I didn't look at the rest of the checks, just my own, but judging by the reactions of my friends they were not happy with my choice of restaurant. My check had a double charge for some items. My wife ordered onion rings but I didn't, I kept the fries that come with the dinner. We, however , got charged for two servings of onion rings. The charge was fixed, but only after I called it to the attention of our waiter. Next time I'll go somewhere else. I actually loved Chevelle's 69 but I will not go back. Check your food and the items in your check and remember, other restaurants don't charge you for using your credit card. This one does. Nor do they double charge you for items you never received. read more

The food was delicious. We both had burgers, the California was excellent with the avocado and hubby's mushroom Swiss was great as well. Large portions, I could only eat about 1/4 of mine but that means LEFTOVERS! The service was adequate, the food came out quickly. The server could see that I did not like the beer I ordered but did not offer me another kind. Also, if you ask what kinds of beer they have they only say what is on draught. They have bottled beer as well! The ambiance could have been really awesome! It looks like a fun place to hang out. However, on the night we chose they had a new DJ playing. I think it was Mr. Slugzz or something of that nature. The music was LOUD, and did not seem to fit the crowd. When I say the music was old, think Morris Day's "The Bird" and the Atomic Dog remixed. Tasty + crunchy, not soggy - Kathy even packed my celery sticks separately (hate hot celery)! We had an amazing experience here on 12/9/23. Ordered onion rings for and appetizer and they came out quickly and were delicious. My youngest son had the children's 2 hot dog meal and it was plenty of food for him. The portions here are generous. My oldest son and I both got the 10 wings, him mild & me hot. We went with the breaded wings and they were amazing. My wife has celiac disease so going out to eat anywhere other than somewhere that specializes in Gluten free cooking is a gamble and we know that. However, our waitress and the cook staff went above an beyond to help ensure her food was not cross contaminated. Most importantly that waitress did not seem a bit annoyed with my wife's questions about how the food was prepared and the waitress even came back from the kitchen with additional cross contamination questions to make sure she & the cooks were clear on what needed to be done. Yes the wings are pricey, but around here.. thats kind if par for the course & its made up with how big the wings are. We will absolutely be back. She does a fabulous job remembering your name from day one! And she remembers what you like to drink and how you prefer it to be served too! I took the family out for dinner tonight which is Thursday March 14th arrived at 6:30pm, worst choice I've ever made. For starters the waitress was absolutely the worst pos possible. It took fifteen minutes before she showed up at the table, I get it the place was busy. I ordered 20 wings, Onion Rings, Fries and a double burger with fries. The wings were ice cold which took over an hour to get the fries were stale and ice cold. When the waitress showed up with our bill over thirty minutes later I told her the food was cold and stale she told me to enjoy it and walked away. She never even came back to collect the payment I had to leave cash because it was eight thirty had been there two hours. So be warned this place is absolutely awful, it's dirty as well. Don't let the good reviews fool you friends and family can all write great reviews. I'll never spend another dime in this toilet and will tell all my family and friends to avoid this dump. Nice environment, friendly staff, and the burgers were outstanding! I got the Low Rider, plus bacon, with bison meat, one of my daughters got the 327, and my wife and older daughter got the Tornado. Serving size is large, and we all enjoyed our choices. As a side note, the bison burger was great, but the beef burgers were just as good. So, unless you really just want to try the bison, save a couple of bucks and stick with the beef. Overall, definitely recommend for a good burger and fries (or onion rings). read more

Been to Chevelles in Murphy twice and had horrible food, and service. So, although farther from our house, we went to the one in Hayesville that we frequented when we lived closer. We were greeted by the bartender and took our seats. We explained to the Bartender, who indicated she has been there 10 years, that we had been to the Murphy location and had poor service and food quality. She welcomed us "home" and promised to do better. We ordered 10 sesame and 10 gold rush wings, blue cheese, and two waters. We got 10 sesame wings, 10 medium wings, ranch, and two waters, and NEVER saw our waitress again. My water was empty from wing 3 until there was 4 left. Finally, another waitress appeared with our check. Why they offered to make it right, the damage was done. When we first starting coming here the food and service was great. This is the second meal that was not good. My husband ordered a burger medium and it was served raw. When the waitress came by to see if everything was ok he said no and asked for the check. She didn't ask what was wrong. When she came back with the check she said she saw the burger wasn't cooked and said she could have it put back on the grill. Especially now I find that not a good thing. I do not know if there is a different cook, if there is they need to learn how to cook better. I need to add that my husband and I were both sick when we got home.
