Brother's Seafood is a small place but they have good customer service. They offer a variety of seafood. I had the crab legs and fried shrimp. The food was fresh and seasoned well. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Brother's Seafood - Menu - Seafood Near Me - Spring, Texas

Tried this place since we are new to the area. You know how you "save yourself" in anticipation of a great/hearty meal by not eating much that day? Well that was a huge mistake! Not only was the portions ridiculously small, the food was not good. I ultimately had to settle with drowning it in ketchup to got through this crappy meal cuz I was hungry and it was too late to search for something elsewhere. Nothing had seasoning even though I asked for extra. The fries tasted like leftovers that you attempt to microwave the next day. I really was hoping this place would be a winner since we live so close and eat seafood often. Guess I'll just continue my search for good seafood in Spring. read more

Brother's Seafood - Shrimp and fish with a few fries - Seafood Near Me - Spring, Texas

See all

I hate writing negative reviews, and had taken a few days to mull over this. This review is more of a PSA. This restaurant is impeccably clean and well ventilated. It's the kind of place where you will not come out smelling like your meal. We stopped in Friday night and ordered three items--boiled shrimp, shrimp po'boy, and 15 wings (recipe attached). Like others reviews said, service is SLOW. The transaction ended on 8:01, right? We didn't get our food until 8:35. Yes, it took so long that I started watching the time. No one ate at the restaurant so we also ended up taking our food home. I had the boiled shrimp and it was delicious! Midway through I started to itch. By the end of the shrimps and a few wings, I was covered in hives. This reaction only happens to me with bad seafood, except, this was the worst case I've ever had. I ended up taking a second Benadyrl; one wasn't enough to stop the flare. read more

Average individual seafood place, not too much choices, portions are average. Tastes is very bland and staff is friendly. read more

Brother's Seafood - Fish and shrimp plate. - Seafood Near Me - Spring, Texas

Alright so we came into Brothers seafood after reading the mixed reviews on this app, and we were skeptical. After experiencing this place ourselves we recommend it to anyone who wants something spicy and flavorful. The food is cooked to order so there will be a wait. But that is to be expected in a place like this! Give it a shot. The Louisiana fried rice will have you coming back for sure!! read more

I used to love to come here to get the mama's special ( snow crab cluster, boiled shrimp, smoke sausage and potato). But not anymore....the last two times I came my shrimp were over down and couldn't even get them from out of their shell. And my crab was not a crab cluster...more like three legs. So I wanted at least three to four months before trying them again......I must say things have not changed. Food is being used from the previous day and I can't stand that.....seafood is supposed to be fresh and it is not. You lost a customer in me..... read more

So good! Hot and fresh food made to order. Very tasty. Large portion and not too expensive. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area! read more

Brother's Seafood - Shrimp fried rice w/ a piece of cat fish. #3 - Seafood Near Me - Spring, Texas

Horrible customer service!! I have been a loyal customer for a while. I was very disappointed when I called to let them know my recent purchase of the Louisiana fried rice made both me and my son sick. They offered no apology or concern. They immediately told me no one else has complained and continued to deflect by saying maybe we just couldn't handle the spice. That is not the case b/c we have been ordering the same thing for months. Needless-to-say, they have lost a faithful customer b/c of the lack of respect and no value for my patronage. read more

I wanted to try this spot because of the great reviews, but I wasn't able to because no one ever came to take my order. Horrible customer service! read more

Louisiana fried rice is amazing!! Giant portions, great flavors on everything. You really get a lot for your money. All the seafood always tastes super fresh. Rice is never dry or flavorless. read more

I had the Louisiana Fried Rice w/ grilled shrimp and snow crab. Hubby had the oysters. I loved mine but the hubby wasn't big on the cornmeal style breading for the oysters. The crab sauce is fantastic! Make sure to get some and maybe some soy sauce on the side. Overall we are very pleased and will be back read more

Hidden gem! The food was absolutely amazing. The boiled shrimp and crab were to die for. The fried fish and oysters were some of the best I've ever eaten! Highly recommend! We will be back! read more

Food is good but service is horrible. Got the fried catfish and fried rice. Nothing to rave about, but for the price decided to go again to try something else. Actually walked out the last time due to how the cashier treated another customer. Wish they would hire more help and preferably not have that cashier in the front ever again. read more

The food is always good. Some days the wait can be long and getting them to answer the phone can be a pain but the food is great. They are also pretty cheap so you can't go wrong here. read more

My family and I tried Brother's Seafood. After ordering, we were told our wait would be 20 minutes and it was actually close to an hour. We ordered 4 entrees. The fried fish and shrimp were inedible. The fish was coated with a thick layer of cornmeal like batter and the fish inside did not appear to be cooked throughout. The shrimp was battered the same way. The texture of the shrimp inside the thick batter was slimy. I can't tell you how the fish or shrimp tasted because it didn't look safe to eat. We threw both boxes in the trash. The other two entrees were okay, but nothing I would ever return for. Perhaps we ordered the wrong items, because there was a steady stream of customers. It was such a disappointment. We actually had to go buy our kids something to eat at another restaurant. read more

Ordered from my car and they brought it to me. Painless!! I had fried oysters and they were great! Looking forward to next time read more

Fried Catfish & oysters plate and fried chicken rice w/ 6 large shrimp. The fried catfish was great, but the oysters was old and they smelled like it. The fried rice was so spicy, know one could eat it. The jumbo shrimp breaded with cornmeal and not enjoyable. Will not eat there again read more

Boiled seafood and the brothers rice is always delicious. Super sweet couple and they are always ready to help or get you the best deal.

This is a small, local restaurant and we really WANTED it to be good. So we decided to swing by for dinner. The menu is pretty straightforward - a selection of fried and boiled seafood, crab, shrimp, etc. We opted to get one of the "fried platter" selections and share it. It had catfish, oysters, crab, and shrimp. At $25 it was bit pricey and did not come with fries or anything, so we ordered a side of regular and sweet potato fries. We sat down around 8:20pm. At 8:50 we *FINALLY* got our food, sort of. After waiting a full half hour (place wasn't even busy at all), we were told they were out of crab. Sadly, this is what my wife really wanted. I wish they had just told us up front (no one else was there, so it's not like someone else ordered the last bit!). We would likely have ordered something else. And after waiting a half hour, we weren't in the mood to change our order and wait who knows how much longer. Also - no ketchup, cocktail sauce, or tartar sauce came with the food. We had to ask for everything and then were only brought small individual packets at first. Later someone did bring out a squeeze bottle of cocktail sauce. We also got pretty flimsy plastic utensils - which worked ok, but not quite up to par with the prices of the food here. On the good side, the catfish and most of the other food was hot and pretty good tasting. The oysters however were full of liquid and had a very fishy taste - those could have been cleaner and contained less liquor (oyster liquor, not alcohol that is). The fries were good, but standard. Sweet potato fries also good - those are easy to burn or mess up, but they did fine. The restaurant itself is new, but as you look around you can see evidence of the lack of attention to detail. It's freshly painted, but there's paint all over things like switchplates and other things that just show a messy job. The tables are also new, but had sharp bolts sticking out where your knees are - not a big deal and you just move down a bit, but as you looked around, there were dozens of little nuances that showed that no one was really paying attention to the details and holding things to a high standard. Overall the staff was super nice and friendly - we were actually a little sad it wasn't better. We could tell they are trying hard and eager to do a good job. But the attention to detail and understanding of some basics about how to run a restaurant are missing. read more

The food here is fantastic and the place while small it delivers in abig way. I had the brohters special which was amazing. I cnat wait to try more of their menu items read more

I love this places 100% recome the brothers rices is the best

Finally stopped to give this place a try!! Omg can I say delicious. I think I fell in love with the rice and crab sauce. It was divine. The owner was very interactive with the customers making suggestions of his best plates. I will definitely be back to try the boiler seafood combo. Everything is very reasonably priced. read more

The food was ok. I had the grilled shrimp that still had the shell on it. I should have gotten fried shrimp so no shell wouldn't be on it. The lady at the counter was nice but was coughing. It made me feel uncomfortable since she was handling my food. I most likely won't be back. read more

Good new place. I had the oyster po-boy and they did a nice job! The location is small and they do not have fountain drinks, but maybe that is coming in the future. The seafood they were bringing out to others looked impressive. I look forward to trying the crawfish in the future. read more

Fried shrimp was great. Cooked in corn meal which was different so me but still great and fresh

On my first occasion I stopped in for menu but was easily intrigued to order. The customer service is over the TOP GREAT! Wished I could say the same for the seafood gumbo!!! Got it home and realized that it was literally ALL RICE and okra, had a bit of sausage in it but still TONS of okra. It had NO spice to it whatever even after I pulled the bay leaf out of it!! Like I said it was ALL rice with a good dab of okra and a sausage had a couple of crawfish tails and maybe????? 4 shrimp. I would NOT recommend the "seafood gumbo" to anyone from this place, defiantly not worth 10 bucks a bowl!!! (rice is cheap) I'm on the fence about trying something else. read more

The wings here are dried out and terrible. I ate 1 wing and I'm a wing person. I choose wings 95% of the time when I eat out. I got a 1/2 lb of the shrimp boil. It's a little on the greasy side. The flavor was good though. That's the only reason this place got 2 stars. My kids didn't like their food either. My husband got a po-boy and the bread was hard, the shrimp had no flavor and there was little sauce on the sandwich. They need a lesson on the kinds of dood they are cooking, because this is not it!!We will not be ordering from here again. read more

The food is great. The price is great. I love the crawfish and they are always fresh.

This place is soooooo good. The fried oysters and shrimp are amazing. The best though was the fried lobster tail with the Louisiana fried rice. If I lived in Houston I would be there every weekend. read more

Ordered food to go. Bag was hot, but food was freezing cold!! Terrible. Don't waste your money.

Good quality, reasonably priced seafood. Highlights include the combo plate of oysters, shrimp, and catfish with fries, boiled shrimp or crawfish, grilled shrimp, and shrimp fried rice. Good place run by nice people. read more

We placed a call in order for two po'boys one oyster and one shrimp. The first indication of a problem was that the fries were cold and limp when we picked them up. Once we got home, my husband took a bite of the shrimp and made a face. It was extremely bland, without any flavor. Think cheap, frozen shrimp unseasoned and deep fried. Tasteless would have been an improvement for the oyster poboy . I took one bite and knew something was wrong. I removed that oyster and tried another bite--my stomach instantly rebelled. I am still sick today, so definitely be careful here! read more

You will not be disappointed plus there's no long wait. Great customer service so I'm definitely coming back

I had the boiled shrimp & shrimp fried rice and I thought it was fantastic- I couldn't finish the rice but I sure tried. Very very delicious definitely would come back !!!! read more

It was all really good! We got boiled shrimp & fried fish and it was all tasty. Nice clean environment.

It was sooo good spicy goodness.and the owners are so nice ..very chill place love love this place

Came with my husband for wings and received these. They told the guest after us that there was no more wings. I would have preferred to exchange my order than receive these. I ordered 2 6 pieces and they both looked like this and the taste was off. I have never seen wings like this. Not as advertised on the menu. read more

I ordered fish and shrimp combo. The staff was friendly and food was prepared fresh but I have to say the fish was very mushy and I don't think it was catfish! That batter was very thick and powdery or very grainy. As well as the shrimp . I've eaten at spot of fish places and can tolerate most but I ended up throwing this away . I couldn't get with batter! read more

Ducked off location with very amazing food. I ordered Mom's Combo Platter, the food was seasoned very well with the right amount of spice. My boyfriend ordered the Brother's Special and it was also good. I also loved the crab sauce! Overall great experience, I loved the food so much, that I went the next day and ordered the same exact thing. Lastly, the owners are very personable and nice people. read more
