Lied about need for a new furnace, still came over after we called to cancel the estimate. Called again saying but we have a good deal for you. We filed a complaint with manager who promised me a week ago they would call me back within 24 hrs. He has not called back, after 2 calls back to him. Not only did they lie (after 2 estimates obtained from another provider said the furnace is fine). They did not report that insulation had fallen inside the furnace. They left my home at risk, vs helping us out. Be warned. They are only trying to make $. They lie. read more

Lets start with our blower motor went out . We could tell it was the blower motor becuse after inspecting the furnance you could hear it as it atarted and stoped. Called for service for blower motor replacement, gave them the furnance model # and they informed us that they would make sure the tech would have options on truck. Tech showed up heared blower motor informed us that it was bad. No blower motor on truck, had to get one. Left house gone for 30 minutes , came back installed blower motor. Blower motor on Amazon to your door is $ 200 max. TO come out is $97.00 Install total time 1 hour. Bill total $1900 and change ? Was told after 3 phone drops and a manager that they had a flatt rate for this repair. They have a price on truck and a price if they have to go and get one. Called them about thier math issues. Thats when they informed me about thier flatt rate. Must be charging $1000.00 a hour for repair. After phone conversation with a manager they said they were going to credit me $400 after our conversation wich turned out to be $350.00 All im saying is make sure you get a total for your repair up front. We bought a townhouse that was previously a rental property, it was vacant for months before our purchase. The duct cleaning company who serviced our home informed and showed us how extremely dirty and unmaintained our furnace was. The owner of the duct cleaning company referred us to Sergio/Brothers Heating & Cooling, as he vouched for the kind of work he does. We contacted Sergio that very moment and was able to immediately set an appointment. He went to our townhouse that same day and assessed our furnace and AC condition. He explained to us in detail the current condition of the furnace & AC, what the problems were and what needs to be done. Being first time homeowners that know very little of these household items, Sergio really took the time to explain them to us, took photos & videos and pointed out to us what are normal and not. He then set a plan and discussed with us what needs to be done. The next day he and his worker came back and thoroughly cleaned and fixed our furnace, he showed us first how it looks before , and then after the work was done. We are amazed by the huge difference. Very detailed work, neat and organized. He then proceeded to cleaning our AC, he explained to us what will be done and the materials to be used. The before and after AC cleaning appearance is just astounding. We are really impressed of how meticulous Sergio does his work, very professional and shows utmost care and concern to his clients. They cleaned up after working on our townhouse and made sure not to leave any trash, and received a call the next day to check and make sure everything is fine. Beware! This company actually deserves zero stars but unfortunately the minimum that Yelp requires is 1 star. Let me begin by sharing our story which is any first time homeowners worst nightmare. We hired a contractor who ended up being a total fraud. He worked with Sergio the owner of Brothers Heating & Cooling. Long story story, we discovered that the contractor was overcharging us and Sergio sent us a contract knowing that contractor was attempting to scam us. I fired the contractor and when I attempted to fire Sergio he refused to return the $9000 we had previously given him. My husband and I decided to let him finish the job since he'd he working under a new contractor who we trusted and we new the contractor would ensure Sergio completed the job. Unfortunately, Sergio completed the work before the plumbing and electrical was completed. He guaranteed us that he would return once the electrical and plumbing was complete to fully install the furnace. When it was finally time for us to move in I contacted Sergio to let him know he could come finish his final connections. He told me that he was on vacation and would stop by as soon as he returned. He never showed up, I called him multiple times with zero luck. We moved into our home mid July without air conditioning. It was hell! Thankfully, our contractor stepped in and installed the electrical which allowed us to run our a/c. Now fast forward to October. I attempted to turn on my heating just to find out that Sergio never connected the gas line. I call Sergio and he told me that connecting the gas line isn't part of his job. How? How in the world is ensuring that the HVAC system that YOU installed was fully functioning not a part of your job?! HOW?! I have text messages where he is requesting the lines he needed to install gas and electrical but now he claims that wasn't part of his job. Really? He is a very unprofessional business owner, rude, and a total scammer. Do yourself a favor and use a different company. By the way, did I mention he was helping the original contractor scam us? I have the two sets of contracts and i do intend to take legal action. We were originally going to just move on but now I refuse to let him get away with this. read more

A few days ago, there was a flood in my basement and I called the previous company who installed our furnace that we were not getting any heat. The next day when the man was supposed to come, he cursed me out on the phone that he quit and he does not like working Saturdays. He was so unprofessional, so I looked on Google and found Sergio. The moment we talked, he seemed nice and quickly told me he would visit the house after his last call. He showed up around 8 PM and took a look at it. He showed me the damage the flood had done and all the work the previous installer did and why it was bound to go bad. So he quoted me and I paid him half of his deposit because the bank was closed to withdraw over $500. He worked with me the next 2 days telling me where he would get the parts, the cost of each part, and what his would consisted of. He installed the Gas Valve and a few other parts, but then he found other problems that he did not forsee. He ended up helping me fix it by just getting new parts. Now the heater works great. Our heater stopped working so i found his company online and it had great reviews. So i called him and he came by and told me what needed fixing. It was a small sensor to regulate the heat . he did not try to change the entire system or make unnecessary repairs. He fixed it and now we are warm again. I truly recommend his services. This company is absolutely the best!!! We have hired them for all our heating and cooling needs. They are efficient, fair, have top quality products and experts in this field. Their customer service goes beyond what is expected. For example, several years ago we had a flood in the basement and came within inches of losing our furnace. They had been servicing the furnace and came out to inspect it and clean it and did not charge us anything! Also, most recently, our air conditioner died on us in the middle of the heat wave just a week ago. Backstory I was referred to these folks by a friend who was having issues w/ their AC. It turned out their AC was on its way out so instead of charging my friends for even a service fee for coming out, Sergio told them to not worry about it and that he wouldn't do any work since they're better off saving for a new unit entirely instead of paying for work that would be mute. That certainly got me excited that he was honest at the cost to their immediate bottom line. My work I just had them come out to check on a few things for our AC in a 10-year old building. They're a pretty light weight shop but are very personable. We had a little confusion over the phone but they got here after the original appointment due to miscommunication. They did a full-service cleaning on the units, which involved them washing down, using a strong cleaner on the fins, and a few other things that I was pulled away from. One of our two units was also low on freon that they were able to replenish. I was a little surprised they were able to start that day but were done in about 2.5 hours after starting. They also taped up our ducts, which had been pointed out by a contractor previously. All of their staff were super friendly and had great service. Sergio even gave me good advice on where I might want to put additional CO detectors: near intake vents and in the furnace closets as well. It makes a lot of sense when I think about it but I'm so used to just putting it next to a smoke detector. He was fantastic about also showing me what he's doing so I trust that he's not trying to cause damage to justify future visits. I'm definitely going to recommend them to folks and have them come out in the fall to service the furnace itself. read more
