My experience on 11/18/2025 was a perfect example. I saw a Walmart ad for a Star Wars toy for $10. It was out of stock online but said "Pick up at store," and the Terrell, TX Walmart (Store #265) showed it in stock. I drove over an hour to get there. At the register, the toys rang up for $29 each! Almost triple the advertised price. Nowhere did the ad say the in-store price would be different, and the crossed-out "original price" online was $24.99, so even Walmart's own numbers didn't match. I asked an employee, assuming they would simply match their own advertised price. Instead, I was sent to the service desk, where I waited 20 minutes only to be told they WOULD NOT HONOR IT. They refused to match Walmart's own app price. Their reasoning was that Walmart online and Walmart the store are completely different monoliths. WHAT?!? WHY!?! I spoke with multiple supervisors--Kim, Andrea, and finally Daniel--all of whom repeated the same canned line: that online and in-store are "completely different" and they "can't do anything about online prices." This is absurd. Walmart's own policy says they match prices from Walmart.com, yet here they were pretending their own website belonged to some unrelated company. The corporate call center wasn't any better. I was told the issue would be escalated urgently and that I'd receive a call within 30 minutes. I waited 45, called back, and they had *no record of me at all*. After retelling the entire story, I was finally told that the store manager, Robert, would call me within three days. I left empty-handed after wasting my time, gas, and patience. This is FALSE ADVERTISING, plain and simple. As I told Andrea: How is a customer supposed to know that Walmart's advertised online price isn't actually the price? How is it acceptable to say something costs $10 online, then charge $30 in store? Why even list prices online at all if they bear no relation to what you'll be charged at the register? The whole thing feels intentionally misleading--a mechanism to pull customers into the store with low online prices, only to hit them with higher ones once they arrive. The three "managers" I spoke to acted like price matching or overrides are mythical concepts they've never heard of. Walmart is one company. Online or in-store, the price they advertise should be the price they honor. Instead, I was met with rudeness, inconsistency, and a complete lack of accountability. Terrell, Texas Walmart should be embarrassed by the incompetence on display today. I'm still waiting for a so-called "resolution," but based on how badly this was handled, I'm not holding my breath. *TERRELL, TEXAS WALMART SCAMMED ME.* They should have done a simple override and honored their own price. I discovered Terrell's Farmers Market on Facebook a few months ago. I wanted to purchase fresh…read morepeas and veggies for the winter. They didn't have any in stock so I called about a month later and they had fresh peas in stock. I didn't know how many bags to get so I think I went a bit overboard. I purchased black eyed peas, purple hull peas, cream peas, pinto beans, okra, corn, pecans, peanuts, fig preserves, watermelon, sweet potatoes and honey. They have more veggies and fruit to choose from including other preserves. The prices are a little higher than I expected to pay but I still made the purchase. I paid with my debit card but was told they prefer cash. :) My husband tried the watermelon and he said it was ok. I made a homemade sweet potato pie and the sweet potatoes were ok. The purple hull peas were just ok. I'm not sure if they were picked too soon but they didn't meet my expectations. If I decide to come back, it will be for the fig preserves and honey. The staff is friend and are very helpful. I think the produce came from East Texas. Call ahead to make sure they have the produce in stock.

They've even expanded beyond Texas to places like Tennessee and Northern Virginia. Everything is kept clean, especially the bathrooms. This particular location is on the smaller side, so I can't even imagine how huge the larger locations are. There's a wide variety of souvenirs from apparel and home goods to even pet items. Towards the back, you'll find a deli, a wall of specialty beef jerky, tons of snacks, plus brisket sandwiches and desserts, including fudge. We ended up spending a good amount of time here before getting back on the road. You can sample the jerky. I really liked the Honey Jalapeño and Maple Cherry (on the sweeter side). And don't leave without grabbing the beaver nuggets!

If you're driving on a Texas highway and see a Buc-ee's sign, exit - even if you don't need gas. My Overall Rating - 4 1/2 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Facility, Return) Atmosphere - Buc-ee's is big, busy, and always crowded. If you're an introvert, I recommend you stay in the car. Walking into a Buc-ees is like walking into a Walmart. Same lighting, same item you can buy, and tons of people. 1/2 Stars. Service - Hats off to the Buc-ee's staff, because while it's always super crowded, I've never had to wait long because there are so many checkout stations and the staff are so nice and helpful. Everyone, from the staff making the BBQ to the fudge counter, everyone is super helpful. 1 Star. Facility - The bathrooms at Buc-ee's have earned legendary status. They're clean, the line moves fast, and it leaves you plenty of time to shop for....ANYTHING. Need pool supplies? Check. Flamin' Hot Cheetos? Check. Cookies? Check. Clothes? Check. You get the idea. The staff chops up fresh brisket sandwiches for you to grab and go. For me? I always grab the sugar roasted pecans. I can eat a cone of these sweet, warm treats in one sitting. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Pro Tip #1 - try to get there before 11:30 AM and plan your visit in May. Ham Orchards gets really busy at noon, and Texas gets really hot in June. There's plenty of parking (dirt lot), tons of people (and families), and you'll hear a musician or two playing on the guitar. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super nice. There's a market with dedicated peach soft serve lines as well as a separate building for BBQ. The two are separate, so you don't have to eat the BBQ at Ham Orchards if you only want to shop at the market. Upon entering the market, a very friendly and helpful staff member will help answer questions and guide you. 1 Star. Food - Ham Orchards is a peach farm, so I recommend you order anything that is peach infused. I went with the Peach Pulled Pork. The pork was very tender, the buns were lightly toasted, and the Peach Pulled Pork was sweet and tender. But the star of this trip was the Peach Infused Pickles. Wow, this condiment turned my "meh" potato salad into a peach infused bite that was peach sweet, pickle tart, and potato creamy. I also bought a full-sized Peach Pie from the market home.
