When I saw all the bad reviews for this Walgreens, I figured people were probably exaggerating. Turns out, they weren't. This place has one star for a reason. The drive-thru is a complete mess. We got a call saying the medication was ready, so we headed over. After sitting in line for 30 minutes (yes, I had to shut off the car to save gas), we finally got to the window, only to be told the medication wasn't ready. They asked us to drive back around and start over. Seriously? And if you're thinking, "Why not just go inside?", don't bother. I've tried that too. The same person handling the drive-thru is the one helping people inside. I've literally walked around the store for over an hour waiting to be called. Avoid this location if you can. Never had any problem with other associates, but Abby or Abigail in the front lacks customer service. I asked her if the rewards printed and she pretended that it didn't and threw it away. I am sorry but the efficiency of this location has to be improved. The drive thru is a mess. One person usually works both lines. It takes forever to receive medicine if it isn't in stock. I have waited for a month and week before my original medicine ran out only to find out they never ordered it, so the wait begins again. I have tried to stretch my medicine by not taking it as required just so I don't run out. I know not good but this Walgreens has placed me in this bind on more than one occasion. There has to be a more efficient way to pick-up orders without waiting twenty plus minutes. Think of the customers. This pharmacy should be shut down. Took 2 scripts in for filling, they filled 1 and had to order the other. It was to be in the next day. The next day rolls around and they said the scripts could not be filled because the doctor was on a DO NOT FILL LIST. WRONG. Their system screwed up and was spitting the BS out and not filling scripts AND they decided to share the incorrect information with other local pharmacies. Just so happens the meds was for my husband who had severe withdrawals. Cold turkey the med and it could have caused seizures or even death. DO NOT SHOP WALGREENS in Wills Point Tx. I went to Walgreens today and spent $45.00 on 3 prescriptions ...everyday noncomplicated prescription drugs. On Good RX, the price was $14.00 cheaper than my insurance co-pay and Walgreens offered 2 of the three prescriptions even cheaper ($25.00) if I bought a membership. Haven't crunched all the numbers, but I think a pharmacy should automatically find the cheapest price for prescriptions and not make me search, research, add/subtract and drive all over town to find the cheapest drug options. Like most Americans, I have to make difficult choices to buy drugs or pay my electric bill. Often, I have to forego the prescriptions. Walgreens is part of a much bigger problem, but if they want to keep me as a customer, they'll find a better way to help me and my family. read more

Probably the worst Walgreens I've ever been to. The drive through is usually wrapped around the building. They say your script will be refilled by a certain time then you wait another 30 minutes when you get there. Always call ahead. It will be at least two hours longer than they say. Oh and the line in the store is extremely long too. Plan to wait at least an hour when you arrive. read more

I use this store ONLY because I am forced to due to insurance & location reasons. Otherwise, I would petition to have this pharmacy shut down. In my 40 years as a nurse, I have not seen a pharmacy that is so mismanaged. They rarely have my routine RX medications in stock, despite have the medication on automatic refill. The staff are rude & refuse to answer questions. Any answers you do get are made up and are far from the truth. I once rec'd 5 different answers on why a regularly scheduled medication was not filled for over 2 weeks, despite 6 phone calls. I spend an average of 11 mins on hold every time i call. If they are too busy, they disconnect your call and force you to start the on hold process all over. They falsify order dates in the computer to make it appear as though all RXs are filled within 24-48 hours of receipt, when in fact it has taken between 72 hrs and 2 weeks to get an RX filled. The staff refuse to call appropriate insurance companies to get authorizations, forcing me to pay outrageous out of pocket fees. Calls and conversations with the pharmacists have failed to improve their service. Perhaps an investigation by TX state Board of Pharmacy would initiate the pharmacy's desire to improve their services. read more

Pharmacy has bad management and customer service. Waited in line two months ago so I could show them my new insurance card and have them update the computer with my children's and my accounts. Just discovered today that ever since then they have been charging my old insurance company. I called and they told me they didn't have my new insurance info. Really?? The girl that answered phone today had to keep asking someone else and she wouldn't transfer me to someone who could help. This isn't the first time I've had problems with this pharmacy either but it will be the last. This specific Walgreens pharmacy is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever encountered!!! It literally takes AT MINIMUM four hours to fill one prescription! There's been several instances where I have been told a medication would be ready at a specific time. Many of these times, I was coming from my daughter's home in Dallas. I would be returning back to Dallas after I picked up my medication. Low and behold, on arrival the medication would not be anywhere near ready. Each time I waited it was approximately an hour! Even if you are the only customer waiting (this happened today) they will not acknowledge you for about ten minutes! They are beyond confused. Many times I leave there and I don't have all of the medications and I have to return! I have never had this happen at any pharmacy in my LIFE, let alone countless instances!!! In addition, they lack competency and knowledge. For an example, they don't know the difference between generic vs trade medication names. You really have to be paying extra attention to every step in the process, which should (and personally has) always been straightforward and seamless. I would without a doubt, change pharmacies, but my insurance only covers this one. I have never had anywhere near such horrible service at any type of business in my life!!! If your insurance covers alternate pharmacy, by all means take your business elsewhere! read more

Went to get a prescription for my mother in law who has just literally shattered her foot and was unaware of what was prescribed to her (hydro) I asked the pharmacist for any tips on remedy's or pain killers to help with pain and she literally SNAPS at me and yells "THAT'S WHAT SHE'S GETTING!" and I was taken back and asked what exactly is she getting and she snaps once more "UH HYDROCODENE?!" as if I'm a dumb child or something. I've been wanting to write a review on this morally bankrupt place for the longest. The store itself is a hit or miss but is usually okay. The pharmacy is a joke. The pharmacy is atrocious! Even Walmart's customer service is better than this. The Pharmacist there has no sense of the word "confidentiality." People in Mesquite could've probably heard the medication that I was taking. She was very snobby and rude. I guess that's what Walgreen's goes for these days. As long as you seem like your mom didn't drop you on your head then you must be suitable to work there. False advertising with passport pictures. Staff is not helpful and you can never get out of there in a timely manner due to lack of customer service. My family went in to get passport pictures and we took the pictures and waited. After about ten minutes the lady comes out and sys it will be a few minutes because half The kiosks were broken. read more

I use the drive-through. I don't come that often, maybe once a year, but have always received fast, courteous service.

I had to wait a day before writing this because I was just stupid mad. This week I had been exhibiting symptoms of a UTI so I called in to have a Teladoc visit (since the whole COVID19 thing makes it unsafe to go to the doctor) and he prescribed some antibiotics and told me they should be ready in about an hour. I called Walgreens two hours later (just to be sure) and they said they never received the prescription. I called them three more times that day and they maintained they never received the prescription. I called Teladoc back, they apologized and resent the prescription. Still nothing. This went on for 48 hours, me calling both businesses over and over, until I gave up and called my primary care physician and asked her to call in a prescription, thinking Teladoc was at fault. She confirmed that she had done so and that Walgreens indicated to her they had received it, so I waited an hour or so and went up to Walgreens in Forney and they said they had never received any prescription for me. I asked them to double check, explaining that my PCP says otherwise, and I gave my full name, first, middle, and last, and my phone number, which I usually get a text when I get a prescription refilled, so I would have thought they could find it with all of that information. Still nope, never heard from anyone. While standing their, I called my PCP and asked her what the deal was. She called Walgreens again and asked to speak to the pharmacist. She then called me back and said that the pharmacist confirmed there were THREE prescriptions waiting for me, and one of them had been there a couple of days! When I walked back up to the window with this information they FINALLY decided to look in the little white alphabetized bins behind them and promptly pulled out three prescriptions with my name on them! By this time my infection had gone unchecked for an additional 52 hours, and if you've ever had a raging UTI, I don't have to tell you what that felt like. Now, I have used this pharmacy for 8 years or so and, truthfully, this was their first epic failure, but when they screw up, they go BIG!!!! read more
