I was very insecure about my front teeth and had been avoiding taking care of it for a few years! The dentist I had been going to since I was a young girl had retired and I needed to find a new one. I tried a couple different places for a regular teeth cleaning and wasn't happy at all. Then I decided to take the advice of one of my coworkers and went to Brookshire Dentistry! The staff members were all SO kind from the minute I walked in the door! I didn't have to wait too long even though it was pretty busy. The entire time they worked on my teeth, they frequently asked me if I was okay and in any pain. The place had a warm, calming and inviting energy. Their coffee station was pretty awesome too! I scheduled a 10:00 a.m. appointment for an exam and cleaning. The exam took about 30 minutes, but then I was told I'd have to come back at 12:30 p.m. for the cleaning because the doctor had a meeting. If the doctor had a scheduled meeting, why was my appointment made for 10:00 in the first place? This wasted my time and could have been avoided with better scheduling. Patients shouldn't have to leave and come back hours later because the office overbooked or scheduled appointments they couldn't keep. read more

It was that time again! Time for my routine teeth cleaning. I found Brookshire on Groupon so, I decided to use them. It was a pleasant experience. Here's how things went down. It was very easy to find. The entire staff of women are very nice and professional. The office is clean with modern decor. I had to wait a little for my cleaning because, they were busy with other patients. I didn't mind they have state of the art technology that I was looking at until the Hygienist came in. The Hygienist gave me a praise report. She said, to keep doing what I'm doing. However, the Dentist said, I have future work ahead of me. Smh. As I left, I got a free goodie bag with a Toothbrush, Floss, and Floss threaders! I also, received a complimentary water bottle. I would recommend this office. I needed a crown because I had a temp tooth from my last dental fiasco at a different office. Looked up dentists on my insurance website, and up popped Dr Kapadia at Brookshire. First I met with Saulo to get x-rays and all. He's the best! And he's a hygienist! So he and Dr Kapadia confirmed no other issues, and asked if I had time to get prepped for the crown today. Heck yes! They made sure I was comfortable....I even got gas for the first time (and I must warn you, it's really really good). Anyway, it is just my first visit, but I have a cleaning scheduled in 2 weeks and my crown should arrive before the 3rd week. I'll post an updated review at that time. Update: I had a filling they completed break. I found a new dentist, which I love (Brush365 in Hurst). Go ahead and skip Brookshire dentist completely. They did send me the treatment plan, only after I posted my initial 1-star review. I overpaid and they still haven't attempted to return me my payment. This place is a scam, literally. Rip OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF .. i came to this practice to get some dental work After having two root canals I was there to get the crowns .. well what the heck it was a total disaster . 1. they were tring to charge me for more way than my insurance said i was to pay and they gave all these papers with receipts with numbers on them that didn't even match. Everything that they billed to the insurance the insurance said I was to pay $1029. They have me paying over $1800 and paying for procedures full price that was covered by the insurance so sad trifling dentist, office, and Then I had to come back for a postop check because I had gotten two crowns and one of them was still high and it was hurting so it needed to be adjusted and they even charge my insurance for an emergency exam which I reported to my insurance. and my insurance even said it should've been a post op !!! definitely will not be going back there if you look at the reviews others have said that too I wish I had a look at them first read more

They tried to convince me that I had multiple cavities which I haven't had since I was a little kid and were trying to rush me to get an appointment to schedule getting them removed asap. However, I ending up going to another dental office to get a second opinion, and there they told my teeth were fine and I had no cavities at all and were unsure why I was told that in the first place. They do not care about their patients. There are a couple of nice employees there, like Tracy and one of the dental hygenists, but the management is horrible. Called about money they said i owed, and was talked over, yelled at and hung up on 5 times by Patty the manager. Also, heads up: they said they don't bill insurance. I called in as a new patient and a cracked tooth just a week ago. They were able to get me in and actually was able to see me the whole day. And by that I mean I ended up new edging two root canals. A filling and three crowns. And that was just on the right side of my head. I havE a follow up in a few weeks to get the rest of the job done. I was quoted fairly for the price with my insurance. I was amazed that I www able to come in, get my woRk taken care of and literally spent all day with them. They even offered me a protein shake during my visit. It was by far one of the best dental experiences I've had. In fact I'm pretty excited to go back. The biggest issue - and really only issue- I had was the portable X-ray device I had was that they had to take multiple X-rays - no big deal- but the second assistant didn't bother to put the lead vest on me. We took multiple xrays where that wasn't a thing. Which was a bit concerning. Though I know I am not pregnant I do feel that is something that should have been done. This establishment has gone way down as far as staff and management. Don't ever have a question about your account or find yourself in the middle of reimbursement from them. Their "Accountant" is the dentist husband or relative of some sort. They lead you along for MONTHS with no contact other than "we will email the accountant " well if you can email the account so can I . They are horrible at communicating anything. The lady at the front desk is clueless on anything. You'd then get "Patty" who likes to portray herself as the "Manager". Who can't solve any issues, so I've never heard of a manager who can't solve anything but repeat that the "Accountant" doesn't work for them per say but he will get back with my issue "when comes back in" which remember...he isn't an "employee" but does the books for them. Don't waste your money....don't waste your time. This place is DISGUSTING AND UNETHICAL. I wish I'd read all these terrible reviews before I went. The equipment was all dingy and unsanitary. As if that wasn't bad enough, they are complete SCAMMERS lying to people to try to make money. I went for a basic teeth cleaning and they told me it would be $35 on the phone. When I got there, they told me I had 4 cavities and needed a special "deep cleaning" that was $300. So in total $3000 worth of services. I went to another dentist who told me my teeth looked great and didn't need anything beyond a basic cleaning. "The worse experience ever" "I had a frustrating experience with Brookshire dentistry service. Despite having seven fillings done, I had to return for adjustments on four of them. Each time, I was charged again for what should have been a straightforward job. Additionally, instead of addressing the issue with the fillings, I was repeatedly told that the problem was due to the depth of the filling and that I might need a root canal, even with my front tooth that had a very small cavity. which seemed like an attempt to shift blame. The experience with my implant crown was equally disappointing. I had to come back several times for adjustments, and when it was finally completed, the doctor forgot to apply permanent cement. A few weeks later, the crown fell out, and I had to schedule another appointment. Despite being assured I wouldn't be charged for the mistakes , they billed my insurance $205 for applying the cement, which was not communicated to me beforehand. Overall, I found the service to be inconsistent, financially exploitative, and lacking in transparency." read more

Great experience. I haven't been to a dentist in about 6 years. Alina, my dental tech, was amazing and explained the process thoroughly and carefully because she knew I was nervous. I have a treatment plan and an appointment to go back next week. They did offer same day service but I need to mentally process before I do anything. They also offer cleaning, whitening, alignment, etc and I will also be bringing back my 3 year old, they do pediatric dentistry as well. I wish I could upload the video I took while at this place. I went in to get my crown set and the nurse or whoever tried to take my temp out with PLIERS!! Just told me to open my mouth and was going to pull it out with no numbing or anything! And said that is normal. THAT IS NOT NORMAL!! And this is after they told me it would be $6k to fix my mouth. Had been happy with this dentist. Update about review. I contacted the dentist office and asked that the office manager Fariba Dadgostar and asked her to contact me and has been one week and still no word. I called to ask for a refund of my money and a week has gone by and haven't even received a phone call, email, or any confirmation that she received my phone call. end of update. When I talked to her on the phone she said we didn't have anything else to talk about because I left my honest review. Only would she talk to me if I removed my review. That is terrible customer service and very unprofessional. She already charged me for the whole procedure and refused to refund all of my money. Now I am going to have to take them to court to get justice or my money back. However, my wife went into the dentist office to get an implant but talked her into getting a bridge instead. I must say this first. The person that explained the procedure was the office manager Fariba Dadgostar or the women in charge of the finances. She said all this stuff about how the bone would or could be rejected and that the bridge procedure would be the best option. The dentist didn't even explain how the procedure would be done. Once again she wanted an implant not a bridge but because we trusted them she agreed. They didn't explain that they would have to file down two perfectly good tooth. That is ridiculous why would any dentist destroy two perfectly good tooth when a patient is willing to pay for a way to fix the just the one tooth so she can keep her original tooth. Now she has just a little stick for tow tooth that is ugly. This really killed her self esteem. The convinced her to get a bridge by telling her that the bone implant needed would or could be rejected with out first taking x-rays or any other. This is what really confuses me. When she went in for the first ; this is after they already filed down the two teeth, ( I had called to cancel the procedure because my wife was really upset), bridge procedure they said that they would put in the bone implant so that if she wanted to get an implant in the future the bone would be ready. Sounds like they are more interested in making money than keeping their patients happy. I'm am very upset and saddened by this ordeal and will be taking my family to another dentist. Also, when they put the temporary bridge on they put a temporary tooth that was very yellow and didn't match my other teeth. I went back complaining about the bad color and they were bothered by this and instead of making it right they just painted over the yellow color. We should of changed our dentist awhile back but because we trusted in the dentist we kept going back, My wife had another procedure or bridge done on the rear lower and she was in pain for like a month that she could hardly stand. I went to the dentist like three times and they never did anything to fix the pain. I mentioned that maybe the tooth was up to high and needed to be filed and the dentist didn't want to even try this.. Said that it was impossible. They even gave me a root canal in a tooth that wasn't even necessary. After the canal the pain was the same as before. Finally, I had another dentist look at the tooth and they followed my suggestion and filed the tooth down because it was to high and you guess what? that was the problem the whole time. Instead going for the less stressful option the dentist opted for the more extreme one. So now we will never return to this Dentist. I've been with Brookshire for several years. Recently, I saw Dr. Tehrani. I've been going to Brookshire (at their request) for deep cleanings, with fluoride treatments faithfully every 3 months for several years. I've never had a cavity in my life and was told on 12/29 that I had two. Later I asked for pictures of those cavities and Dr. Tehrani indicated they didn't have pictures of them, even though they did several x-rays. My son has also been a patient of Brookshire for several years and never misses a 6 month cleaning. He was told in January of 2021 by Dr. Tehrani that he had 5 cavities. Finding it odd that my son and I now suddenly had 7 cavities between us (when neither of us had ever had a single cavity) decided to get a second opinion. Both of us saw anther dentist for a second opinion, who took x-rays and conducted a thorough exam. No cavities were found for either my son or I. Please use caution when seeking dental care. These alleged cavities would've cost us close to $1,000 to repair with Brookshire. So thankful we sought a second opinion! read more

After two years I've finally decided - questionable sales tactics and unnecessary pressure. I first came in 2012 for severe tooth pain and the dentist that initially addressed me was great. Fixed the incorrect bite on my filling, gave me medication and I was a happy camper. That dentist is no longer there but I figured things were going well so I stayed. In 2013 I requested to have a filling fixed because it was starting to wear away and was visible. Dentist #1 told me it was not possible, they would have to remove too much of the tooth and refused to do the work. The only option was a crown. Dentist #2 (Yes, in the same Brookshire Dental Office) did the procedure successfully. My guess is the margin on crowns exceeds that of fillings so sell what pays the bills. I've since moved on to a different dentist that hasn't tried to sell me anything. read more

I came to Brookshire in January after my crown popped out due to a cavity in the tooth underneath it. They confirmed this, but upon merely examining my teeth the dentist looked right at me and in an extremely judgemental tone said, "When's the last time you've been to the dentist?" I had just gone not even a year ago before I moved to TX and only had one cavity, which was fixed. They then proceeded to tell me everything I had wrong with my teeth and what needed to be fixed, including a root canal, two crowns, and cavities in basically all of my teeth. Mind you, I only went there to get one cavity filled and a new crown. The financial lady (who someone else said was a scam, and I completely agree) pressured me immensely to spend money to get those teeth fixed, and I let them do a considerable, costly amount of work because they did a great job convincing me I needed all of it (+ MORE) before I fully realized I was being used as a cash cow. Once, I went in to get a 'cavity' filled, just 1, and they tried to tell me multiple times that I scheduled to get 2 done, pointing out the 2nd one I supposedly scheduled. I am absolutely 110% positive I never scheduled a 2nd filling. The entire experience at this place traumatized me and made me so distrustful in dentists that I spent this entire year worried about my "horrible" teeth while not visiting a practice at all. Upon a recommendation from a trusted friend, I FINALLY got the courage to try a different dentist two weeks ago, and he told me I had 0 cavities and that my teeth were perfect. I actually made him check several times because Brookshire had made me so paranoid, and he found nothing. I have never left a bad review for a business, but I had to post this. Went to Brookshire Dental for a dental visit that was long overdue...(ahem, eleven years overdue). Denial, as they say, is not just a river in Africa. They were super kind and gentle with me. Pam, the hygienist, was extremely down to earth and seemed to have a lot of experience in doing her job. She really made me feel comfortable. Dr. B, was really nice and personable. He seemed to know what he was doing as well. Being as I'm NOT a dentist, I can't say FOR SURE that everyone was exactly superb...but they put me at ease, and at least, in my judgment, they knew what they were doing. I will definitely be going back to Dr. B, Pam, and Brookshire Dental for my next visit. And I won't wait eleven years this time. Brookshire Dental is a great choice for all your dental needs! I somehow found this office when I moved to Fort Worth and I was very impressed with their professionalism, the ease of getting an appointment, and the great job their hygienists do. All of the hygienists are very friendly, knowledgable, and they have great teeth too. I usually cringe when it's time to have my teeth flossed because I have a permanent retainer that has been mistakenly popped off during cleanings in the past, but the hygienists are Brookshire glide right through and clean my teeth perfectly every time. Last year I moved to Dallas and I thought I was too cool to drive 45 minutes to get my teeth cleaned, so I went to another dentist. They didn't do nearly as good a job and rushed everything. Needless to say I'll be making my 45 minute drive to Brookshire twice a year because it's worth it. read more

I don't like doing this, but I have to write a review about the most negative dental experience of my life. They provided poor communication regarding a tooth that I'm not convinced had to be crowned; then a permanent seating of the crown, which was bulky and actually covered a good portion of the gums where there had never been a tooth! Not to mention pain associated with the crown, which was pulling what was left of the original tooth in the opposite direction. I protested about the crown's fit but they acted put-off, skeptical and in a hurry. Meanwhile, before the crown was even seated, the accounting employee stood over me as I lay back in the dental chair and wanted to talk to me about two more crowns they said I "needed." ($$) I even had to go back that very day because the way the crown sat, I couldn't even chew. They made a minor adjustment, but it was still not right. After all this, I had no other option than to reach out to another dental practice. Both an endodontist and another dentist agreed with me and have fixed the problem. The crown had to be cut off and I had to go through the whole process again. I requested a refund from Brookshire Dentistry and they declined, saying I had not "communicated" the issue to them. The dentist and assistant were great, but the office manager is a shark and because of her I'm giving one star. Unfortunately, dental insurance is nothing but a coupon and I was in desperate need of a root canal and crown. I could barely afford that and next thing I know she comes back in after doing her estimate and tells me it will be over $5k to fix my teeth and you should've seen the look I gave her... she sent my blood pressure soaring. I repeated again that I could only afford to save the one tooth at the moment. Later on w my new dentist I figured that Brookshire charged me $300 more out of pocket than what my dentist in Arlington charges now for same procedure. When I went back to Brookshire to get permanent crown put on... I will be damned if her face isn't in mine while dentist is checking permanent crown fitting. She says that 'we need' to make next appointment to start getting the rest of my dental work done and I said 'are you paying for it?' Should have seen the look on her face! Idk what silver spoon she's been fed from, but if I can barely afford the treatment I got and it exhausted 99% of my insurance for the year how does she think I'm gonna be able to pay thousands out of pocket???? This really isn't a dentist office, it's a high pressure sale. Be very skeptical of Brookshire dental they only care about getting money from you and will leave you in pain. Had both upper and lower worked on last evening, sent home with no antibiotics or pain meds. They told my partner if I needed any to call, well they are closed until Monday. Dr. Kevin Afkam was excellent in his diagnosis and treatment for an implant; impants...they are expensive no matter where you go, and an extended treatment plan that reaches far beyond our dental $1000 annual benefit.
