I understand their policy is to have a consult before getting a cleaning or any other work done, but their estimate was largely inflated compared to the two offices I visited since. By largely inflated, I mean I ultimately paid 10x less to have the same work done by a different dentist. I would not recommend this office unless you plan on selling an organ to cover the cost of your visit.

I've dealt with constant pain from a wisdom tooth, that was tearing into my cheek. I was skeptical of dentist for I've encountered countless heavy handed and awkward dentists. Not once did I ever feel unsafe or misinformed of any of the treatment I received. When it came to my procedure being over only thing left was to pay, I was worried of the price based off the quality of experience I received I knew it put me over my budget. Dr. Sohn seemed okay but the dental hygienist scraped my gums so hard I was not bleeding a little but a LOT and then she aggressively pushed a deep cleaning priced at $900. This was my first visit here after moving back to the area (grew up here, 10 years in Austin, back to DFW for a few months) mind you I have never missed a cleaning in about 20 years. I get a routine cleaning every 6 months and have never had anyone do what this hygienist did. I wanted to be open minded plus I had already paid the upfront 1 year package so I came back 6 months later after she scolded me about not doing the deep cleaning and said well if you want you can just see back in 6 months how flossing and brushing goes (yeah I think I will do that). Then at the next cleaning magically my teeth were fine b/c I requested a different hygienist. Also wow no bleeding. I switched to Tate Dental in 2024. Routine cleaning in Feb & Oct 2024 - both visits got a clean bill of health and no bleeding from the hygienist. I told no one of my experience at the new dentist to see. I asked the dentist and hygienist if they would recommend a deep cleaning and they both said my teeth are perfect health and it wouldn't be necessary showing me photos, etc and explaining what would be the reason for a deep cleaning. I did let Dr. Sohn's office know of my experience when it occurred in 2023 and they did nothing. So all that to say, buyer beware. No clue if the reviews are real or not but my experience at Sohn was awful and I only went there b/c of the good reviews. Also Tate is better priced too! I called in advance and asked for pricing after the awful experience at Sohn. I have moved a lot in my life and of the 5 dentists I have seen no one has EVER scratched the crap out of my gums like that and then acted like it was not their fault. I was shocked and now I wish I would have just stood up and left. I realize now how bad it actually was and I was just being a pushover.

My first root canal they were able to do at the dentist, but this one I was referred to a specialist. It was an emergency and I was in a lot of pain . Dr. Saunders and the Essential Endodontics crew made the pain go away in less than 2 hours . I also received a call the next day to make sure I was okay . If your dentist sends you here don't be scared, the worst part is when when they numb the area as they are going to work on , you will feel close to nothing during the procedure. If you have had a cavity you know what I'm talking about. They also did a great job to make sure I understand the cost before they started.

The work the dental technicians at Trail Creek do is fine. I've had no complaints there. However, when it comes to their administrative staff I am absolutely finshed with them. They've messed up the schedule on my last two cleanings. They messed up the schedule on my wife's last cleaning and were very rude to her. To the point the lady at the desk wouldn't talk to my wife and walked away. Then they snuck in a $50 missed appointment fee for "my" missed appointment on her bill and didn't tell her they were doing it!! When I called and discussed it with them, there were no management around to discuss it. I gave them a chance at making this right and I will not be back. Don't write trite response just to save face. Just another bad Dentist.
