After trying several bike shops and dealerships over the past 4 years, I simply cannot say enough positive things about these folks. First, they actually answer their phone and care about your problem and getting your bike back to you, as fast as possible. I am a everyday/year round rider (except snow and ice days) and this my bike is my main source of motivation, recreation, relaxation and transportation. I brought my bike in for two issues. a major oil leaking problem and a hesitation issue at full throttle/jetting issue. I gave them a gasket set that I already had and I was expecting a very hefty bill for replacing head and maybe other gaskets and seals. instead, they got the bike in the shop, exactly when they said they would (does this EVER happen anywhere else?) and much to my delight, all of my gaskets were fine. (wait! they are honest, too??) it was a relatively simple fix and they charged me accordingly. other shops have been dishonest with me and even kept my parts that I brought in, saying they used them, only to find out later they did not and they kept my parts for their stock. now, like most owners, I LOVE my bike and am always skeptical if I cannot do a repair myself and rely on a shop. for the hesitation problem, they confirmed the rejet that the other shop did was wrong (I sort of knew this, but rode hoping it was an air box problem or something, since the other shop confirmed twice there was nothing wrong). Brooks Cycles gave me a very reasonable estimate and time frame for this repair. overall, the service is great, the people are friendly and seem to genuinely care about your machine and getting it back to the customer at a fair price. I would recommend these guys to anyone. also, most places around here only take Harleys, Ducati's, big street bikes. they were more than happy to take in my DR650 dual sport, which was a relief. I will gladly give these guys all of my business. the fact that this company is veteran owned and they do a lot of community stuff, is just another reason to love this place. my hat is off to Brooks Cycles and their employees. My girlfriend and I were riding our motorcycles to meet some friends at Back Yard Grill. Turns out my girlfriend caught a huge nail in her tire. We were worried about getting it plugged or being stuck without a way to get the bike home safely. Turns out Jason Brooks (owner of Brooks Cycles) was there. A friend introduced us and told him about our problem. He offered to plug my tire, which I thought was awesome since it was way after shop hours. When we got to the shop he actually had a tire for her Ninja 400 and offered to replace the tire right there instead of making me come back tomorrow. I felt much better about her riding home on a new tire. From start to finish it only took 25 minutes. Moral of the story, Jason went above and beyond to help a total stranger get home safe. He took time out of his night to do quality work, super quick, at an affordable price. Not to mention he was awesome the whole time which took the sting out of catching a nail in the first place. If Jason cares that much about a total stranger after business hours imagine how he treats his customers. So many other owners and shops would say tough luck or that they would "do me a favor" and squeeze me in some point tomorrow. I'm really happy I got a chance to meet him. read more

I have been using yelp for many years and have often thought about writing reviews. However the service i received from Jason was so awesome that I had to finally do one. Jason has actually helped me multiple times. I do mostly track riding and do about all the work on my bike myself. However, recently I came across a situation where the motorcycle I was building had different head stock bearings than my triple trees. I was in a panic as I was signed up for a track day that weekend. Called several shops for help and then I remembered Brooks. Half the other shops I talked to didn't even know what I was talking about when referring to head stock (or stem?) bearings and races Jason knew exactly what I was talking about and even though he was slammed with work he told me to bring my parts over and he would install the new bearing and race for me. In addition this was at the end of the day. I waited no more than 20 minutes and he took care of it right there knowing I needed to rebuild the rest of my bike in time for my trackday. Without question if I need anything done to my bike in the future Brooks will be the first place I call. These guys run a shop that has a very personal feel. No words that can explain experience with Brooks Cycles. BIG THANK YOU to DAVE (I hope I got the name right over the phone) at Brooks Cycles. So here was my situation. My Bike Harley Davidson 883 was running absolutely fine and I was driving to work. Then I did not drive for about a week and then I tried to start my motor cycle and it did not work. I was very curious as I was not sure what could have happened to a normal running motorcycle. Spoke to few people and people mentioned battery issue. I was very sure it was not as my battery is 3 months old and it was HD battery. Could not figure out with videos as well. And finally tried calling Brooks Cycles to see what could be done and how can I bring for fixing. And then I spoke to Dave and he asked me few questions about lights, ignition and then he asked me if my motorcycle is in NEUTRAL. And you know what it was not. I put it in neutral and it started fine. I would have spent money (first getting it towed and then repaired) which would have been ALL waste. I recently took my 2004 Suzuki VZ1600 to Brooks' for a 15K mile service. Fast forward to today when my wife and I took 'er out for the first ride of the season. We were about an hour from home (90+ minutes from Brooks') when the bike suddenly lost power. I attempted to troubleshoot the issue myself, but to no avail. I assumed (incorrectly mind you) that something was not put back together correctly during the service, so I called Brooks'. It's important to note that all this occurred on a Sunday when the shop is closed. Jason just happened to be in the office doing some paperwork. After I explained what had happened, he immediately began driving in my direction with trailer in tow. Upon Jason's arrival, he took the bike apart, identified the problem (my fault...not theirs), fixed it, and I was able to ride home with no more issues. What more could you ask for than a shop that stands behind their work...on a Sunday...when they're closed?!?! Please help me to say "thank you" to Jason by giving Brooks Cycles your business. Amazing! As a elite salesman that understands customer service, Jason and his crew go way beyond what is the norm for retail these days. I called Jason after calling many shop's and got one of the friendly, knowledgeable and most comfortable to talk too individuals on that day. So I brought the bike and my carbs needed cleaning the job was done 2 days later. Rode it home and it ran like a champ. Then later that day the bike wouldn't start, so I assumed it was a carb problem so I called Jason and he came out to my house and worked on my bike, to find out it was another problem all together. Above and beyond the call of duty. Jason will always work on my bikes from this point forward. Oh and by the way I live an hour and 15 min from his shop. Great job Jason! Lesson learned, I was convinced by a good buddy that to save some $$ he could do some basic service to my bike, well unfortunately the chain snapped on my commute to work. It was a Monday however Jason on his day off arranged a tow for me and also met me at the shop, opened up and took care of me and got me going! He could of easily just told me to leave my bike at the shop and worked on it Tuesday but he took time away from his own family errands to make sure I was all sorted out and back on two wheels! My buddy tried to help out and also paid for chain replacement. I won't be convinced to have a friend service it, my bike has been serviced since day 1 from Brooks and I for sure won't allow anyone else to service my bike again. Brooks Cycle says one of the best places I've ever been to for my motorcycle. I've owned three bikes. All of them been serviced at Brooks. Jason and his team will go out of their way to accommodate your motorcycle desires. I read some of the other reviews, while mine had been a positive experience, I want to point out that many of the motorcycle shops I have been to have also had their problems. Jason and his team would work to correct their mistakes if you had one on your motorcycle. I can't say the same about some of the dealerships and other shops who put the blame on the owners. Same day fork rebuild. Quick quality service (better rates too)... Let me start off by saying I'm a mechanic myself and I don't trust many shops to work on my bikes. I'm so glad I was referred to Brooks Cycles and I will never hesitate to bring the more complex jobs over to them. They do a great job and are QUICK. Did a full fork rebuild and got them back same day within a couple of hours. Jason is a great guy and when I told him I was a new customer he immediately gave me a tour of the whole shop, introduced me to to his mechanics, and welcomed me to stay and hang out in his cool interactive lobby. Every time I go into Brooks, its always a positive experience! The last time I went there I needed some oil for my wife's Yamaha TTR 125 and they didn't have in stock the cheaper stuff I needed to do the service. So, Jason walks in the back and gets the best oil he has and hands it to me and says have a good day. I said, I can just take it? I met Jason many years ago when Brooks Cycles was on Willard Rd. I had a 1990 Katana and needed some work and would have cost more than the bike was worth. As a woman rider, I'm always very cautious about being taken advantage of. I brought my bike to Brooks Cycles when one of my friends said that the clutch was slipping. One of the techs noticed that the clutch was not adjusted correctly. He quickly made the adjustment and I was on my way. It feels good to know that there's a place that I can trust.
