hell hole. i had to call the cops to get them to handle not taking delivery of the bike due to insurance nightmare for virginia as opposed to califormia. instead of just letting me back out of the deal, the sales manager tried to use pressure tactics, and i was already pissed at the insurance bullshit, voices were raised and so on. dont get me wrong, harley makes a great product, but if they are going to have wannabe badass as sales managers, they should have a cage fighting ring in the store to settle disputes. read more

I recently bought a new Road Glide and was back at the dealership ready to spend even more money with Harley, which made this experience especially disappointing. The person I dealt with came across as dismissive, condescending, and frankly a little pompous. It gave me that old-buddy-club feeling that can make Harley dealerships seem unwelcoming if you don't fit a certain mold. My issue was primarily with this individual, but interactions like this reflect on the dealership and the Harley-Davidson brand. Customer service should be simple: be friendly, be respectful, and make people feel like you actually want their business. I'm already invested in the brand. I shouldn't walk away feeling like I'm being talked down to. read more

I bought my first Harley here back in 2009 when Bob owned the shop and was an active member of the HOG chapter for nearly a decade. Additionally, I bought other bikes here and sent others. Sadly, since Patriot HD was sold to car dealerships, the customer service has gone downhill fast. Today (a Saturday), I stopped by to pick up a few parts (2 bolts and nuts) my husband had called ahead to have set aside (over an hour prior). Well I stood at the parts counter for over 30 minutes waiting to be helped. One employee spent 20+ minutes on the phone with a customer, while another spent 20+ minutes chatting with someone. Meanwhile, three other employees walked right past us without a single "hello" or offer of help. When I finally asked the woman in Motor Clothes if she could find someone for parts, she looked right at me and said, "I can't help you in parts," and turned around and walked away. Totally dismissive and rude. When I eventually got helped, the parts employee apologized--he was actually polite and professional--and I told him I knew the delay wasn't his fault. But this place has a serious customer service problem. A few pointers for management: 1. If you're tied up on the phone, take the person's number and call back. Don't ignore customers standing right in front of you. 2. If you're not busy, offer to grab a manager, ask if someone's being helped, offer a drink, or at least acknowledge people waiting. A simple "someone will be right with you" goes a long way. 3. If you're in Motor Clothes, "I can't help you" is the worst possible response. Try "Let me find someone for you." 4. There were literally five people total in the entire dealership--so there's no excuse for being ignored. 5. It's a Saturday--you should have more staff working the parts counter. Title: Very Disappointed with My Registration Experience at Patriot Harley-Davidson I purchased a Hydra Glide Revival on September 10, 2025 from Patriot Harley-Davidson. At the time of purchase, I submitted my auto insurance proof, and Lizzy, one of the staff members, even thanked me for it. Weeks passed, but I never received the promised registration card and license plate. When I called a few days ago, I was told someone would call me back with an update. No one ever did. When I called again yesterday, they told me my registration was ready. But when I drove there today, I was told they actually did not have my documents. It turned out they confused me with another customer who has the same last name. Then I was told that they had no record of my insurance, even though I had submitted it weeks ago. After resending my insurance by email (after multiple failed attempts), I was shocked to be told immediately that I would now have to go to the DMV myself. I refused because: I already paid their processing fee. They had promised Patriot Harley-Davidson would handle the registration at the time of purchase. Despite my refusal, they went ahead and processed things in such a way that I had no choice but to go to the DMV myself. This was done without my consent and in clear violation of their promise. When I attempted to file a complaint with Harley-Davidson HQ, a staff member at the dealership came out with a refund check of about $27 (registration fee). But this was not about the money--it was about them breaking their word. Later, two managers called to apologize and even offered me a gift card, but it felt like they were just trying to buy me off. My concerns remain: Was my insurance really "missing," or was it simply mishandled? If it truly was missing, why did no one contact me for weeks? Why did they not return my earlier call as promised? Mistaking me for another customer may be an understandable error, but why proceed against my will and leave me with no choice but to go to the DMV? The overall feeling I was left with was: "We don't want to deal with this anymore, here's your refund--go take care of it yourself." This is not the customer service I expected after buying a premium motorcycle. I am veryvt disappointed and hope Patriot Harley-Davidson takes responsibility for honoring their commitments in the future. I apologize for tearing up the refund check they gave me. Whether you choose to visit this place is entirely up to your judgment. read more

In the beginning, everything was fine. I was told they had to get the motorcycle an it would be 1 or 2 days which ended up being 2 1/2 weeks with no updates from the dealer. The motorcycle was delivered and after the first ride, I felt like the Nightster was the worst handling motorcycle I had ever ridden. I checked the tire pressure and the rear was 56 psi (calls for 41psi). The front was as 46psi (calls for 31psi). Checking further, I discovered that the coolant was low. I determined that the motorcycle never received any setup after paying $1200 for setup. I went to the dealership and spoke to a manager about the issue and had pictures of the tire pressure gauge and coolant dipstick. The manager agreed that the motorcycle had never gone through service. I was told they would pick up the motorcycle on the following Tuesday and run it through a complete checkup. I never got a call and Patriot never picked up the motorcycle. The new motorcycle experience was ruined and I wish I could get rid of it. Patriot Harley is the worst dealer and never is true to its word. Stay away from Patriot and stay away from Harley Davidson. read more

This place is a sad shadow of what it once was. I go in once or twice a year just to see if anything has changed, and based on what I see, I'm surprised they're open for business still. First red flag: No price tags on the bikes, for many years now. There are lots of other dealers where you don't have to put up with that. The collegial atmosphere of 10 to 15 years ago is simply gone. these are no longer people who love the brand. You may or may not have a good experience here, but those of us who know what this place once was, and (perhaps) could be again, will continue to avoid it. read more

One of the Fit Specialist, Kevin Perlak, came to greet me, and immediately eased any of my prior dealership experience concerns. He was not only knowledgeable, but he was low pressure, which made the experience that much more comfortable and enjoyable. Kevin helped me navigate through the different bikes (both new and used), until he found the one that was a the right fit for me. Not only did I really appreciate the time, attention, and low pressure approach; Kevin was super thorough, followed up with a few days later, just to check in and see how I was enjoying the new ride. Probably the best staff/sales team that I've ever worked with. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful during the purchase of my new motorcycle. I worked primarily with Sam during the process and he was very helpful with any questions I had; and if he didn't know the answer, he quickly figured it out and got the answer. Props to him for putting up with my kids during the process. The sales manager at this location even went out of his way to buy my kids some Wendy's while we were finishing up with paperwork. The store is very clean and has a good assortment of both new and used motorcycles to choose from. I adore Patriot Harley Davidson (H-D), purchased my first H-D bike there, enjoyed dealership events, people on the floors are very professional and approachable. But based on my personal experience there this week, I will not bring my bike there again for any routine preventive maintenance. I purchased a brand new bike from Patriot H-D and it was delivered to me on 1/12/2023. Between work and kids, I endorsed 193 miles from riding around my neighborhood on weekends just to maintain its condition until next road trip with buddies. Earlier this week (Wednesday) I dropped off my bike to Patriot H-D and requested services for engine oil change, state safety inspection, and review check-engine code history. The service clark told me they will perform the "1000-Mile" service for requested engine oil change because my bike still has the original factory oil in it. Everything seems normal to me until I received a phone call from the same clark next day (Thursday). He indicated the 1000-Mile service will be completed by tomorrow and I can stop by to pick up my bike. The total cost is $900 something. Immediately I questioned about the charge. He told me besides engine oil change, my bike needs front/rear brakes fluid flush, and transmission fluid flush. They are part of the 1000-Mile service. I replied ALL I wanted was engine oil change, safety inspection, review code history, and nothing else. Why didn't you tell me service items outside of my request? Then he said if I declined brake fluid and transmission fluid flush services, I would need to sign a "SAFETY WAIVER" due to dealership's policy. Those fluids in my bike are more than two years old from the factory. Really?!! No one inform me about this policy when I purchase my bike and extended warranty. So I told him please do not work on my bike until I have a clarification with the service manager. Guess what, my word doesn't matter. Next day (Friday) he told me the 1000-Mile service is completed. Charge is now $500 something instead $900 something, bike is ready for pick up. So yesterday (Saturday) I escalated my experience with the service manager in-person and paid $300 plus dollars for the cost of my original request... However, I am concerning about the information on the invoice they printed for me: "Customer States: BIKE WAS SITTING FOR 2 YEARS AND ONLY RIDDEN 200 MILES" "DECLINED REC- FRONT AND REAR BRAKE FLUSH - ABS" And did not mention anything about transmission fluid flush. What if something goes wrong to my bike related to ABS brakes or transmission, there is no record of who/when was worked on them last. What a mess, left me uneasy feeling. -CJ Tang read more

I Initially went to Patriot Harley Davidson to service my 2009 Dyna FatBob and decided to trade it in for a 2023 Tri-Glide Ultra. The salesperson, Avery, was very nice and professional, as well as helpful in answering all of my questions. He went above and beyond to get what I wanted when trading my motorcycle. If I could leave a review without STARS I would! This dealer along with it's sister Dealer Old Glory Laurel, both have unethical sales practices, and defrauds its customers. I thought I bought a NEW Harley, Patriot sold me a refurbished one. one that had fallen off the truck and replaced its frame. They sold this bike to me as NEW. it was not new, it was refurbished at a new price. The bike has since broke down on me twice and left me stranded, it went to another Harley service where they told me about the replaced FRAME. So I've done it again.... I bought my first bike here in September of last year and yesterday bought my second bike here. I'm between I brought a friend in for his first Harley. Why?! Well read on to see why they excel. From my first visit in September to yesterday every time I come in Dutch has been outstanding. He walked me though all the different bikes and buying apprehension last year when I was buying my first one. Never pressured me, let me sit on multiple bikes, and explained why each one made sense or didn't. Finally I decided on the street bob and helped squash all my apprehension and concerns. He sat with me through the financing portion to make sure I was happy and getting the deal I wanted. I've never had that type of experience through any purchasing process in my life. When I made it to Kaitlin I was well treated and nervous about the insurance and closing parts (by that time you're usually tired and just want to go home) not with her... she was just as awesome as Dutch and extremely helpful, understanding, and she knows bikes as much as anyone. In fact my buddy bought his bike directly from her and she was so easy to talk to and work with. He isn't a very patient person but she kept him entertained and engaged so he never felt like he was sitting there too long. My second bike took awhile because I wasn't in a rush. Anytime I came in to get parts, clothes, look at bikes or visit during one of their events Dutch and kaitlin talked to me asked how my bike and I were. Never pressured me into anything. It was the exact reason I just bought my second one. Kaitlin reached out in regards to a bike she knew I'd love, got me the perfect interest rate I wanted, and again went above and beyond. In closing.... I have no clue why people talk down on this dealership. They have been everything I'd expect a Harley dealership to be. 3/14/21 I'm a biker could have two meanings.  The first being a person on a non electric or motorized bike. This would be the kind of bike with training weels and later a bike without the extra weels. The kind of bike you might see bike messengers ride while flying through the street at reckless abandoned.  Or being stuck behind some biker on the streets in your care...you get the point. The other is of course fuel powered bike or electric bike.  The fuel powered one is mainly what attracts most people. It is the very reason that brought me into this store today. If you listen carefully, you will hear a different tune of the pipes, the pipes are calling.   You might hear them from glen to glen and down the mountain side, but you are likely to hear them everywhere else too...except in the water...that would be a different sound...the sound real bikers don't want to hear. Upon walking inside the store, I was greated by a guy with red hair. His name turned out to be Danny and he teachers people to ride motorcycles...or choppers if it makes you feel better.  Classes cost $429 per person and this includes training,  gear and how to handle the bike (motorcycle). Tests will be conducted throughout the class. For those who are worthy to become bikers, you will be licensed bikers at the end of the biker classes.   Oh, but there is more. Danny Boy told me that if you end up buying a bike at Harley Davidson's,  your class fee will be deducted from the bike (motorcycle) you choose. This is within a two week period from when you finished you classes.    Remember two weeks is the time allowed to get this special offer.  Talking with Danny, he told me he is the first in his family to ride a motorcycle.  His family was dead set against him doing it, but he did it anyways and loves it.  My wife and I think it will be fun to learn to ride (and maybe own) motorcycles...or choppers. After talking with Danny, I walked around the store looking at the bikes...motorcycles and merchandise.   There is a certain look I have seen with bikers, but for me, jeans aren't going to be one of them. Yes I am going to stand out, but i don't care.  I some some merchandise i liked, but this was more for the Summertime.  Looks like the Winterline has finished up. I saw one employee helping some customers, but she didn't fail to notice my sweater supporting my favorite NFL team The Baltimore Ravens.  Unbeknownst to me, this created a loud growl inside her.    After leaving the bathroom (which could use a touch up) I passed her again and this time she could contain herself.  Apparently she saw birdshit on my sweater.  Turns out she is a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.  I just envisioned broken steel pipes over broken stars. Nevertheless,  I found it amusing. I like it when a little animosity between NFL teams are shown. (yes, I known animosity means strong hostility to someone or something), but I digress. If I come back to this store with my wife, I will be sure to seek out Ms. Broken Steel Dreams.  Her sense of humor and knowledge about bikes are very educational.  I heard her talking to the other customers while looking around. There were a few bikes I liked, but the first one Danny pointed out is still on my mind. I hope to return later on today or on Monday. read more

What is remarkable, I did not feel pressure from Ian to purchase. I appreciate that from a salesman. I typically do not like salespeople, but Ian made me feel at home. We spoke about motorcycles and cars as if we were long time friends. Again, I appreciate that. For me, a man of a certain age, that is important. Purchased my first Harley in 1982. I've owned many more since. Tried to buy a used CVO Streetglide here. Worst experience I've ever had with a Harley dealer. There was 250 miles added to the odometer from the web site photo. There were scratches down the side of the tank from either someone's keys or dirty boot being dragged across it and they wouldn't honor the price that we had discussed over the phone. Just got a bad vibe from the sales team and walked out. All of these issues I believe could have been taken care of easily and they would have had a sale. Quick and simple, you want a bike, they've got you. You want parts, they've got you. You want service, they've got you. I read the negative reviews, and in my personal opinion they are opinion not facts. Which everyone is entitled to and I'm not saying they are incorrect statements for their personal interpretations of the experiences described. I'm just saying between my wife and I, we've bought 3 baggers from Patriot, and another somewhere else from one of Patriots current sales staff. They are great, real people and will give you honest answers. The one thing you need to remember, this is a business and like any business, they need money. Another personal opinion, they will do what ever they can to give you an honest and great price on everything they do. Anything that may occur is not malicious and will be corrected within their ability. Great people, love the new renovation, and you should check them out for all your HD needs. One other thing, HD's are expensive AF. :) Lives too short to be angry, twist the wrist and knees in the breeze. read more

All of the hype on their website, it's bunk and only to lure you in and try to take advantage of you. There's a reason there is NO pricing anywhere and when you ask it's "I'll have to look it up" laughable how dishonest and disrespectful they are.
