I'm a native New Yorker, so naturally, I'm hesitant to rave about a pizzeria that isn't actually in New York City. Especially considering the sub-par pizza my wife and I had to endure while living in Tucson. Nevertheless, we decided to roll the dice and take a chance on this place, and I must say, it did not disappoint!! Their pizza has well balanced proportions of cheese, toppings, marinara, and crust. Oh, how we love Brooklyn's! Had it delivered previously, but just had our first in-person visit recently, and they still definitely bring it. Love their salads and their dressing -- particularly the Creamy Italian -- but it is absolutely their pizzas that keep us coming back and craving them time and time again. The restaurant is your nice little hole-in-the-wall (and the front door certainly lets the drafts in on these cold nights), but the staff definitely shines and this is what still makes obvious differences from, say, fast food. Our server was hustling the moment he saw us walk in, and he impressed with his friendly, energetic attitude and attentiveness (he even took our order from memory, which always scares me, but he got everything correct); he really appeared to have a handle on all aspects of the place, and seemed to take pride in his job - the kind of qualities that are missing from a lot of dine-in experiences now. So long as they keep up the good times and the good food, we will spread the good word and be back again and again! B-) read more

I don't Normally order from other pizzerias, but the one I usually do was closed so I gave this one a try. NEVER again! MY PIZZA WAS A SOGGY MESS! I ordered a well done half pepperoni and half olive and mushroom. The pizza was practically inedible. Whomever cut the pizza obviously doesn't know how to do so. I only ordered the pizza and a salad which took almost two hours to deliver. I called after a hour at 15 min and the girl said they were still waiting on the pizza. Damned fine, and might even turn into my go-to. The pizza is good but not exceptional, and it's definitely not NY-style as the name might have you believe (with big floppy pieces that you fold and eat on a cold night off of a paper plate), but it's tasty, so go ahead and order some. I also got a side of sausage which was sliced up- I think I'd have preferred them served whole, but they were still good. What I really enjoyed was their clam spaghetti- that's a hard thing to find for some reason, and they do it really well here. All-in-all, a good choice for delivery (not sure about their dine-in game, but I'll update if I every gather the gumption to actually leave me house and see what the outside world looks like). I moved out here from the East Coast and at the time we could not find pizza like we grew up with; then came Brooklyn V's. The best pizza in Arizona and as close to New York style as you can get in Arizona! Not only is the pizza delicious, but everything we have tried in the menu has been exceptional. The staff is always friendly, efficient and they go above and beyond to make sure your time spent dining there is exceptional. The ambiance is perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. I have lived within a block of Brooklyn V's Pizza for years and the first time I went was last week and I was so impressed! If I knew about it back then I would be about 100 pounds heavier! I LOVED the service, Vinny made sure we had a great table and gave some great recommendations on food. I loved the pizza, Pesto Chicken and Pepperoni. It was delicious! I took my family tonight, and I was so excited to bring them there but I was nervous they wouldn't be as happy as I was , because they are big fans of another pizza place that also starts with a "B". We tried the Jalapeño Ravioli, Chicken wings, Garlic Knots as well as the Alfredo, Spaghetti and Caesar Salad. I of course tried a bite of everything and again was blown away by the food! Ordered the wings. Mozzarella sticks, cheese pizza for the kids and V's 3 meat pizza for the adults. My nieces loved the cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks! Direct quote -"this is the best pizza ever!!" The slices were very big and what I can only imagine a New York style pizza would taste and look like. The wings were also very good! Tried out this place after seeing it in the "One Bite" app. Pepsi products. Ordered a large cheese pizza and a slice of cheese with ham. The cheese pizza was okay and sauce was on the sweeter side. The under crust was crispy and soft at the same time, the edge crust had a funky aftertaste to it. I would probably rate the pizza as a 6.4 out of 10 only because individually the cheese, sauce and crust were good but they were not married together in a way that made them amazing. he ham slice was not good. The ham was super salty and disappointing almost like prepackaged lunch meat that was just sliced and thrown on a pizza, no crispy edges to the ham or nothing. read more

Ok so. First things first. This is Not. Let me repeat. This is not NY pizza. It's not close. It's maybe like Ohio pizza. That's as close to the east coast as they get. Pizza was ok. A bit doughy, and not cooked enough. Crust was mushy and soft. Very oily. Terribly over priced for what you get. Wings were good. Mild was more like medium but not over spiced. They get an extra star for having all drumsticks.... but they broke the Cardinal restaurant rule. Never charge extra for a side of extra ranch when you charge $14 or whatever for a dozen wings. Was the pizza better than papa johns, absolutely. But nowhere close to a New York pie. Kinda insulting that they would even call it that. This pizza joint wouldn't last a week in my old neighborhood. I would like to start off and say I'm disappointed because I love this place and order very often but tonight was different. I called for a pick up order and they told me 45-55 minutes which I am totally okay with I got a 25" three meat and some calamari both are typically really good. I showed up early and told the guy my name and I said I know I'm early and will probably have to wait but here is my name. he brings my order out right away and I was super happy and surprised because they were pretty busy. i live 6 minutes away and when I got home the calamari was without a doubt cold like not even warm and it was super chewy and not in a good way. i accepted the loss and moved onto the pizza which was cold as well. the pizza toppings separated completely from the dough, one bite and all the toppings fell off. like I said I order from here a lot and this is definitely not the usual. I'm not sure if they have new cooks or just we're wrong about the wait time but considering it was close to 50$ including a tip sucks. i was looking forward to some fresh and hot pizza and calamari read more

I've lived in Gilbert AZ for 11 years and surprisingly never knew this place was tucked in the corner a mile down the road. Great yelp ratings so decided to try it. Girl at the front was pleasant and my pizza was ready when I got there which was surprising as I expected to sit down and have a beer while I wait. Got home with the 2 pizzas and was immediately disappointed. Cheese pizza was utterly a sloppy, gooey, doey mess. Pizza cheese was all slid over to the side. Pizza not sliced all the way thru.
