I came here for a concert and the venue was great. The sound quality was really good so no complaints there. There was a long line outside, but it moved pretty quickly. I think it depends on the artist, but they were pretty easygoing about bags. One thing to keep in mind is that the restroom lines can get really long, so try to time your bathroom breaks well. The architecture of the place is gorgeous, and the bartenders were very nice and polite. read more

Gorgeous historical venue and not terrible acoustics. Incredibly rude staff and inconsistent bag policies. I shouldn't have to pay for coatcheck if my bag fits into the size parameters. You can expect people to have laptops at a mid-week show where they are obviously coming from work. Combine this with the connection to Ticketmaster and I will reconsider any shows connected to this venue. Happy to support some of my favorite artists! Came to see Fetty Wap perform last night and got the fast lane ticket thank god. I have been to many stand only theaters so i know fast lane tickets are the way to go if you want to be close to the stage. This venue is beautiful, staff is nice. Bathrooms are very clean. Security is as thorough as they can be. The decor is beautiful, great architecture and it looks very modern. I purchased popcorn and a soda. Popcorn was $8 and the soda was $6. My issue was with the lack of security near the front rows & stage. There were several times I thought a fight would break out and the lack of security truly concerned me. Lots of pushing and arguing going on. At Irving plaza and Webster hall, they have massive security at the front and sides of the show compared to this place and this place holds at least double the amount of ppl. If I ever come back to this Venue, I will be purchasing the Ella Lounge tickets which is up at the balcony to avoid this issue. I'm a fan of The Midnight, and whenever they make a tour stop in NYC I try to attend the show. This NYC tour stop had them performing at the Brooklyn Paramount - which is a testament to how much they have grown as I've seen them at much smaller venues in years past. Anyway, I had never been here before and was excited to check out a new venue (to me) and take in a show by one of my favorite bands. Located in Downtown Brooklyn right next to LIU, BP has a history going back ~100 years. Originally a movie house, it was converted to LIU's basketball court in the 1960s and then converted back into a performing arts venue two years ago. The theater itself is stunning - the main room has extremely high ceilings which allows for excellent acoustics, and is adorned with ornate decor that give a glimpse to the space's past. Even with this classic aesthetic, the space is completely modernized with the latest technology, multiple concession stands, and clear, organized signage to get to different areas of the venue. The only thing that has me on the fence with BP is that there is no seating. Most small and mid-size music venues I've been to do not have seats, but I'm torn as to whether or not they can pull seats off here (or if the type of shows they host here call for it). The floor is angled the further away you are from the stage, which helps with views but I'm not sure how comfortable that would be to stand on for long periods of time. Despite my criticisms, I was blown away by Brooklyn Paramount - its a crown jewel in Downtown Brooklyn and I wouldn't hesitate to come see a show here again. read more

I went to the Paramount on a recent Sunday for the first time for a concert after hearing positive things about the venue. The space itself is pretty nice and cushy and conveniently located to the subway. The acoustics were pretty good for the concert and the experience overall was a pleasant one. There was a good selection of bites and drinks in the Ella Lounge. My only for gripe about the venue is the lack of seating as it is standing room only for the most part. read more

Came to see DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE in August and it was the BEST TIME! I was dead center at the stage. Best spot in the house. Lovely venue!!! We waited in line for hours, and then there was an option to "pay for VIP" that would let us get in earlier and secure the first GA pit spots. That felt a bit sketch, but hey, that's concert business I guess. I paid it and got the best spot! Deathcab was phenomenal per usual! It doesn't get any better than Deathcab, and this was definitely a concert i won't forget! I took public transit to the venue and had no problem finding it. The area felt relatively safe and nobody messed with me when I was in line. The space also felt pretty clean. Really pretty building with a nice interior. Felt like I should've been there watching an opera or something given how nice it is inside! I'd definitely come to another event here! read more

This venue is BEAUTIFUL - so grateful to have this in Brooklyn. I've been going to shows in NYC since I was a teen, and the staff here are some of the kindest people I've ever interacted with. They have multiple bars across the floor so you probably won't wait long for a beverage if you're looking to grab something. And the floor is slanted so you can get a decent view even if you're towards the back. The acoustics are really nice and the detail in the decoration from floor to ceiling is really lovely. Got to see my AoTY, Destin Conrad and this was such a beautiful venue! I loved the ceiling like so many other reviews mentioned. Somehow as soon as we got to the door I realized I forgot my wallet with my ID. Thankfully we're in the age of sober nights and if you weren't drinking, you didn't need ID. Security flowed so quick I didn't even have time to pull up my tickets in my Apple wallet. Such an easy checkpoint! The show was general admission but the space is so great I could see DC from the back. Even with the show being sold out there was room to dance and vibe freely. Great venue! read more

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite venues in the city. Spacious, great acoustics, and an absolute gem to look at. I sometimes find myself staring at the ceiling and surroundings more than watching the artists on the stage. As a short gal, the sloped floor actually gives me a chance on seeing in front of me. Some added pluses are the large bathroom - I've never had to wait more than a minute. The lounge in the basement is also comfy if you need a breather from the show. There are plenty of bars throughout the venue so those wait times aren't bad during busy times either. Additionally, their coat check is pretty well run. And that line generally moves fast. read more

Be still, my little goth heart. I attended my first concert at Brooklyn Paramount Theater this past weekend and loved it. My ffiancé and I got into the building quickly and through security in no time, it helped that we managed to avoid waiting in the long line of early birds for the show. When you step inside, you can't help but admire the gorgeous decor. It's like entering a storybook and it's the exact look I love, dark and whimsical. We opted to get drinks before the performance began, and the bartender was fantastic. I didn't think the drinks were unreasonably priced considering the location, you're always going to pay more at city events. Upon entering the main floor area for general admission, we were able to take advantage of the gradually sloping floor. This was perfect as it allowed me to view the stage for the entirety of my visit, even with it being very crowded. I'm certainly not small in stature, but it's easy to get visually blocked at shows. From start to finish, this venue was superb. A+ for an amazing 2026 concert experience! read more

The Brooklyn paramount is one of my favorite venues to go see a concert. It is such a stunning venue. They have limited food options they mostly have snacks. So many eat elsewhere if you are looking for food food instead of snack options. The service is great here. I like how clean this concert venue is. The women's bathroom is spacious, so many stalls which I love for when there are hundreds of women trying to use the bathroom at the same time it makes the bathroom line go much quicker. I have been here maybe 5 times now and I have had a great experience every time. It is truly a fascinating theater reminds me of an opera house. I went to see Robyn perform here on 1/2/26. This place is enormous. When I walked in, I was a bit overwhelmed by the size and crowd. I had balcony tickets and that gave me access to a private bar, coat check and rest rooms but I also had free rein to roam around in general admission. The inside of the venue is gorgeous- beautiful details from floor to ceiling. The drinks are tasty. The sound system and the acoustics are very good. The place fits too many people so it may be difficult to get from point A to point B but that's not really a huge issue. The coat check system is cool. It goes by your phone number and takes your photo. Getting my coat at the end of the night was very organized and fast! I hope to enjoy this venue again! read more

As an avid concert go-er, I'd say brooklyn paramount is one of my favorite NYC venues for a few reasons: 1. Layout: I really appreciate that the floor is on a slant, so that even if you're in the back you have a good view of the stage 2. Artist variety: I've noticed a wide range in artists perform here, I've seen everything from rock, pop, electronic, etc. 3. Proximity to subways: most venues that aren't in midtown are near 1-2 subway lines, but the Brooklyn paramount is near a number of key subways. 4. Shows never feel oversold: maybe its just me preferring to stick to the back these days, but I always feel like I have space here. I did try the balcony experience for one show recently. Definitely on the pricey side, but I had a great view of the stage and it was pretty empty. Could be show-dependent (mine was for a not sold out show on a weeknight) so I'd still recommend getting there early to ensure a good spot on the balcony, as I could see it being hard to see if you're not in the front row of the balcony. When my favorite artist is in town, I get particularly excited to find out if they're playing the paramount! read more

The only thing I have to say about the Brooklyn paramount is that despite the interior (which is probably it's only saving grace) it's more or less just a basic example of a place to hear music and see shows. I know it's not the acoustics that set it apart! I know it's not the size of it that sets it apart! Maybe it's the fact that there's five bars spread out around the whole dance floor. I guess that could be a plus for those looking to get absolutely wasted at $20 a pop. I will say that I've heard it's typical to not do a decent sound setup for the opening band but it absolutely sent me over the edge the way that they did the opening band dirty. One of the main reasons that I went to this particular concert was to hear the opening band live for the very first time! It was an absolute tragedy. I could barely even hear their wonderful sound the way that it was meant to be heard. I am still (weeks later!) so upset for them. It kind of ruined the whole rest of the night for me because you can tell the difference for the second band, the acoustics were much better, and for the headliner specifically it was at its best levels. now I am going to leave some room, for: it may have been the fact that we were standing on the dance floor. It may have been the fact that the opening band and the second band didn't have as many people on that dance floor, once it got really crowded I moved to the level closer to the bathrooms, and the sound from there was really really good and I can appreciate that that might be the best place to hear the acoustics in the Brooklyn Paramount, but don't you think that the acoustics should be done in such a way in an establishment that's set for music and sound? I took some beautiful photos of the interior and I snapped some nice shots of all the bands but overall it would have to be a really important band or show that I would need to see you to go back to Brooklyn Paramount. they can do better. read more

This is my first time here. It is a standing room only venue. Upon walking in, the space is gorgeous. I had heard it was redone and had never been here before but holy cow, what a stunning theater. The audio sounded great. We stood on the lower level, and there was an incline, which was awesome because even if you were further back, you could still see for the most part. There were multiple bathroom stalls, which was also a plus. read more

It was a very engaging evening, but I couldn't tell if some of my experience issues had to do with the venue or event organizers. We were not able to come inside the venue at the starting time, which resulted in a line of people standing outside in the blazing sun. Staff seemed scrambled throughout this process and began to come off a little rude to us. Some of the posters outside could have also used a good cleaning. Once things got rolling, it was slightly better, except the sound on the mics kept going out during the event. Once again, I'm not sure if that is a venue issue or an issue with the event organizers. On a high note, there were several bars, which kept everyone moving and they even had some popcorn for purchase as a snack. read more

This is such a beautiful space for concerts. I'm happy that Brooklyn has its own smaller venue that isn't the Barclays center. I came here to FINALLY see my favorite group of all time, jagged edge! And i was not disappointed. The theater is so nicely renovated. It gives old school glamour vibes, and i loved that. The theater inside was gorgeous. With the roof and all its peaks and beautiful colors. It was the perfect venue to welcome jagged edge to Brooklyn. I had the time of my life yesterday, and even tho i didn't order any drinks or food or anything, i still very much enjoyed myself. The ushers were very helpful when needed. But i came for what i came for and i left feeling like life had been made. Amazing night, amazing show, amazing venue! I will be back. read more

Absolutely beautiful theater to see a power metal concert. It's been renovated not too log ago and the place it pretty darn awesome. Granted, the concert area is standing only, no seats, but if you're there to see a high powered metal concert and sitting you're doing it wrong. On this occasion our group was there to see Unleash the Archers and headliner Powerwolf who blew the roof off the place. The surroundings are like being in an Underworld movie as the decor is gothic vampire (to me at least) with multiple bars to grab a drink, terrific acoustics, good sight lines, clean bathrooms, and cool air conditioning throughout. Big props to the reno team who designed the decor. Reasonable drink prices (by NYC venue standards), and ticket prices. Right next to the MTA Q subway stop at DeKalb Ave which is super convenient. I found the staff to also be helpful and professional. They feature all type of musical acts here for any taste so check out the upcoming lineup. read more

This venue is stunning and I would 100% go back. I got to see Jorja Smith here. She was fantastic!!! The venue elevated the experience. The lights, the staff and the crowd were awesome. I've been to MANY concerts and I've never seen staff give out free water. It was sweet but at some point got a little annoying because we were front row and the expectation was to pass back water to people. Maybe I'm rude and don't want to hold water and have the uncertainty of someone else wanting it. lol The only "issue" is that I'd never coat check, it took a long time to get our things. read more

Since there aren't many mid-size venues like this, my grading is relatively lenient for anything that isn't the dystopian hellhole Terminal 5. Sound quality was good for The Pixies. I went here to see Tinashe perform in early November and this venue is STUNNING. Be warned there are NO SEATS. It's a standing venue. The location is very convenient in Brooklyn (there are several different train stations near) and grabbing an uber near was seamless. The ticket prices are reasonable and there are multiple bars throughout the venue. I did not wait once to grab a drink that night. I'll definitely be back for future concerts. read more

This theater is incredible. It is one of the most physically beautiful places I've ever seen a show. The lobby is stunning, both the architecture and the lighting. The performance hall itself is perfect for a concert. Spacious and the floor is raked. Good sightlines from literally everywhere. The staff is both welcoming and offers great customer service. Usually, when you go to a concert, the artist or band is the primary factor in the experience. At the Brooklyn Paramount, the space is an equal factor. Oh, and the bathroom is incredible! Spacious, clean, and plenty of stalls! Drinks are outrageously expensive, but that's the case everywhere these days. read more

Came here for a summer concert and was not disappointed! It's right next to the DeKalb Avenue subway stop, making it very convenient to get to and from. Once we got there, getting in was a breeze and more organized than a lot of other venues I've been to. The place really looks a lot like an old Broadway theater, which made it feel a little weird seeing a punk rock show there, but also super cool that they will host any kind of show. It's not a huge venue, but it fits a good amount and there are VIP options if you feel so inclined. Decent drink selection and was also the first venue I've ever been to that offered a "shot special", which I politely declined but was intrigued. Show was incredible and would be happy to come back and see all other kinds of shows there. Only gripe would be that the bathroom situation was definitely crowded, but I don't think that's to be unexpected from any venue really. read more

The venue was gorgeous, and I enjoyed the lounge and amenities. However, the fact that they disallow moshing, but instead allow crowdsurfing really sucks. While not applicable to all concerts, the one I seen was egregious and negatively affected my experience. A minor gripe was that the sound was bad, and the vocals for all three groups was drowned out by the music. I'm a veteran of metal concerts, and have never seen it so badly managed. read more

Recently renovated, the Brooklyn Paramount Theater is now open for business. I can best describe the theater as the Kings Theatres little brother. I have tickets to see Norah Jones and my wife was confused. Is she playing at the Paramount in Huntington? No, this is the Brooklyn Paramount theatre, I'm not sure of any affiliation. Walking inside, it is truly a visual masterpiece. The ceilings are adorned with beautiful craftmanship. Throughout the theatre, the attention to detail is everywhere continuing the Art Deco motif. Even the bathrooms, to wash my hands I walked into a huge common area where every gender can use the sinks. The folding chairs on the main floor are new, very comfy and cushy. I was expecting the seats to be more bougie? The acoustics are good, the large stage had great lighting and the sound filled the theatre. I didn't have any food here and the bar looked like they could make some great but expensive cocktails. I would see a show here again, there are parking garages very close to the theatre. Across the street is Juniors, after the show we had coffee and split a cheesecake! read more
