We went on a Friday night with a party of 3 and did a walk in. That was a risky move and to our luck, the hostess was so sweet and squeezed us in as the last party of the night! This is a must visit when in downtown Brooklyn. We couldn't try the food since the kitchen closed and we were the last to enter but we were able to try 3 drinks and I recommend them all! 1. Donkey Conga ($22) Bourbon and aged cachaça centrifuged with Banana. Followed by Cynar & sweet vermouth. 2. Manta Ray ($22) Coconut cocktail of apricot, ginger, and mint. London dry gin & Haitian Rhum. 3. Star cycle ($18) Shakened milk washed gin, Jasmine, and grapefruit

The stars finally aligned this winter and I had the opportunity to try it out. The vibes are perfect. Fog and bubbles, sea noises and all of the art go together seemlessly. Drinks were great. We had three and left suitably sloshed for the night with no aftereffects. We didn't have too many bites but the food was very good for a bar. I'm excited to go back and I hope we have just as much luck getting in next time.

We decided to enjoy the vinyl music playing and cool AC inside instead. The space is dim-lit with such a chic and minimalist decor. The menu consists of various cocktails, but they were just okay. I had the Falling & Laughing ($19) while the husband had the Don Cherry ($21). The cocktails are pretty, although nothing all too special in taste. We only had one round and had to go elsewhere, so gotta try something else another time. While the cocktails we tried weren't all that impressive, the vibe is really nice here.

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

We made a reservation for early in the evening, and it was very quiet when we arrived. The space itself is lovely with comfortable velvet chairs, a nice bar, a stunning array of vinyls on display and a beautiful outdoor patio area. We opted to sit indoors, and service was excellent. Between the two of us, we ordered the sake flight, the never will I marry, the smoke stack and stolen moments (a NA beverage). We enjoyed all of our drinks and I thought mine were especially delicious and well balanced. We also ordered the popcorn as well as the burrata and hot honey, which was so good. I would definitely come back here again!

Bites are nice, and the complimentary spiced popcorn is a nice touch 4. 2 drinks, 1 conservas bite and a dessert and tax/tip was about $100 which isn't egregious (but also not cheap so be prepared) Cons: 1. Had 3 bartenders for a pretty small bar and none noticed my cup of water was empty for 20 min; not to mention one of them really didn't want to be there or is a super introvert and just there to make the drink and bye; would have hoped they tried a bit more to have a conversation or explain the philosophy/idea behind the bar/drinks etc (i mean i am paying 20% tip and it's a service industry) 2) The Awakening (tiramisu) was not that great; was on the sour side - maybe because of the chosen espresso beans which may be arabica, but wasn't pleasant; gave an impression of soured milk and coffee. Also the frozen ice cream just doesnt fit; more like a frozen affogato or sour klondike bar than a tiramisu Net net, still a great new place and perfect for dates, but not as strong on the service and desserts

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it.
