    Our arrival.

The event is advertised as having a fish fry. When I inquired about it, the rude host stated the dinner stopped during COVID. Since that is the case, the website should reflect NO FISH FRY being that COVID was 6 years ago. In addition, the building reecked of gas. Whereever its coming from, it needs to be addressed. I was hesitant to stay, but I didn't drive, was visiting from Atlanta, so I stayed. Although I am citing these issues, the jazz was nice.

Hidden gem. If you are looking for live jazz in NY,it is here. They show only weekend. I booked 3weeks ago. It is BYOB. I hope they serve one drink. We as a tourist, didn't have time to get it. So if we got one drink, we could have a good time more. It takes 30min by uber from Times square($70). Once you arrived, a lady tell us where we sit. We arrived last minutes so, she assigned separate seats(1in front/2 in a back). 15-20 people max. Recommend to go early for good seats. It was piano, drums and bass. Music was sooo good. They played 5,6, and asked us request song. There is alot of jazz bar in NYC. If you want an intimate, restored 19th-century Victorian brownstone in the historical district of Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, This is here! Highly recommended!!

A live jazz performance takes place in a small, vintage-style room with ornate wall moldings and a large mirror. The scene is illuminated by colorful ambient lighting, including pink and blue hues. The band includes a double bass player and a saxophonist, with a vocalist standing between them. Audience members are seated at tables, enjoying the music, with drinks and glasses visible on the table. The ceiling features a decorative ceiling fan with large leaves.

Overall rating: 4.88 As many of you, I found this place through a tiktok/ reel. BYOB & definitely date night or friends date experience. I went at the first sitting and was so happy I chose that time because there's a line waiting out the door for the second sitting. My date and I arrive around 7:10pm for the 7:30 showing and there was one couple already seated. The tables are arranged in 4x seats so couples might get paired up if there are no seats left. There are also seats in the kitchen area but not sure how well you'll be able to view. This place is so legit, you're getting tickets at Ticketmaster. $55 pp can feel a little steep but relatively speaking compared to other shows, plus BYOB, plus knowing the money actually goes to the artists & the love of jazz. Highly, highly recommend!

What a fantastic experience! If you're hesitant, stop that right now! It's an incredibly unique experience, you get a little history and storytelling along with the incredible music played by very seasoned jazz musicians. I was recommended by a friend to come here on my first trip to NYC ever. This was a huge favorite of every recommendation I was given !

This place is an absolute gem in BK. The ambiance, the music, the hospitality, and the intimacy make this place a true treat. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and can't wait to return. It's a vibe! If you're undecided, buy the ticket and you won't regret it!

If your on the fence, just buy that ticket! Such an intimate and personal jazz session; felt like I was in an old school tiny desk for jazz heads. Suprised my girlfriend with this and she absolutely loved it! BYOB, so bring a nice bottle of wine for yourself :,)

The image shows a small jazz performance space with a piano on the left, a double bass on the right, and a table with lamps emitting multicolored light. The background includes wooden cabinets and a white wall with decorative molding. The setting appears to be a cozy, indoor venue suitable for live jazz performances.

I'd been trying to get here for some time. Tickets are limited and seem to sell out fast depending on the season. Space was a little tight but cozy. This plus the awesome musicians produced a warm feeling of community. Some of the other patrons brought wine and other libations to celebrating birthdays and other family events. I brought a cork screw for my bottle and cups were provided. I will come again.

Craig Holiday Haynes on drums - A man dressed in a suit is seated behind a Tama drum set, playing in a room with decorative elements including stained glass windows, a large ornate mirror, and green lighting. The room has a vintage style with detailed moldings and a patterned rug on the floor. Sunlight filters through the stained glass, illuminating the scene.

A must-visit place for a true jazz fan. I was there to support my friend Craig Holiday Haynes and what a treat it was. Debbie, the owner and the maitre d was super on-it! Impressed by the history behind the building, the dapperly dressed gentleman that welcomed me into the Brownstone, and the immaculate bathroom!

A woman with short blonde hair, wearing a black jacket with embellishments and a red top, is smiling in a jazz venue. A man in a suit is playing a double bass nearby. The venue has colorful lighting, large windows, and decorative elements like lamps and plants, creating a lively atmosphere.

Ask the Community - Brownstone JAZZ

Would love to visit. Any options for the food other than the-from what I have read-a small fish tapas thing?

How much does it cost now? I know someone said $90 for 2 but prices have gone up since then

My ticket was around $38 and some change.

    What's the cost?

$90 for 2 tickets (including all fees)

    Is it BYOB?

Yes. You can BYOB. Believe they also provide some wine as well.

Do you serve food and if so, what is the price range?

This place is pretty sweet as you enter and feel the inner child/nerd come out. It's great place to bring the boys out to hang out, a place decent date night with your partner and for anybody in general. The employees were nice to introduce me to their specialty drinks and other items. I ended up getting the Appletini which had a somewhat sweet yet sour taste. Pretty good 7/10. I do recommend playing the weather simulator game since it has a bunch of options to play solo and coop. Then there's the box bird game that pins two players to collect as much points as you can. Pretty simple. I did enjoy this fighting game that doesn't require much knowledge. It has your simple lows and heavys and an auto combo. Pork was a great character to play with. Definitely recommend coming here

Got the Waaaluigi which was really tasty and pretty unique! The wonder punch was a classic tropical rum drink and good but was a little watery. Absolutely LOVE the music here, both live and regular music through the speakers once the live shows are done. They also have a backyard outdoor courtyard that is perfect for a quick break to touch grass before going back in and screentimemaxxing again
