The installation guys dont deserve not even a spark, the one star is too much. They are more of demolition crew than an installation crew. The sales guys deserve a one star because they try to accommodate the shortcomings of the previous mentioned crew. The doors are of ok quality. As far as value door price$/$ install... too overpriced. You better off installing yourself or just get a professional to do complete the job even if it will cost more than these guys. read more

I just left here. I was hoping to have a good experience but unfortunately someone would have to acknowledge me in order for that to happen. Coming in there was a young lady behind the counter who muttered hello and that was the only interaction that we had with the employees during our entire time in the store. We did have a chance to peruse their inventory. However I will not spend my money and a place that lacks customer service as much as they do. As a business, it is your responsibility to make customers feel welcomed and to engage them when they come in even if it is to tell them that you'll be with them soon. Didn't want to order a door online so I decided to go with a "local" company. I paid them to come out and do the measurements (which they charged me for) and they gave me the impression that they do the installation as well then it turned out I had to hire a different company. They got me a quote from the door installation company that went up once I scheduled the installation. The door was supposed to have a transom. The door and the transom both came in but didn't fit the opening with the transom. The installation company claimed the installation cost more because of the transom but didn't adjust the price once it didn't have to be installed. Only the doors fit so I did have them installed. Called David and asked for a credit for the transom that was ordered and was told they would send a check. It's 6 months later and no check. So basically, I did not get the door I ordered and paid for a transom that couldn't be installed. I would not recommend this company at all, the whole experience felt like I was being ripped off. read more

Brooklyn Doors is the place to go! They have a great selection of European doors that are both modern and stylish. You're going to find yourself lost with so many great and beautiful options! Andrey provided great assistance with choosing our doors/hinges/handles/locks. He gave us a very reasonable price for our interior doors and the items were all delivered promptly and on schedule as agreed and promised. We ran across a minor issue with one of our door locks and had to revisit Andrey on two occasions but he handled it very professionally and solved the issue for us immediately. All our phone calls were always picked up in a timely manner. We have received endless compliments on our doors from every guest. These beautiful doors are the centerpiece of our home decor! Our doors are easily to dust and clean. They are also very soundproof, makes a world of a difference! Any obstacles that occurred during the construction process, this company helped me. I'm extremely impressed with their excellent customer service. We were looking for two sets of doors to close off our dining area in order to make it a nursery and went to Brooklyn Doors. They seemed to have the best ratings of all of the door vendors in Brooklyn. I think this could be a good store if you are (or are working with) a contractor or have done a lot of research about doors, but as normal people who didn't, we had a very mixed experience. Their selection seems to be largely higher-end interior doors and front doors. If you need a standard, cheap or basic door, you probably want to look at Home Depot or something. This selection was really great for one set of high-quality sliding doors that fit beautifully on one side of the nursery and look great. The problem we ran into was with the second set of doors we bought. The tiny space probably called for a simple, cheap accordion door or the like, but the installer Brooklyn Doors sent told us our only option was a very heavy and cumbersome set of barn doors. These were finally installed (after weeks of problems with Brooklyn Doors not sending the appropriate hardware, I should note) and then started to literally fall out of the wall they were so heavy. The way they were hung, they would have fallen right onto our baby's crib, which was terrifying to say the least. They were completely inappropriate doors for the space. A major problem with Brooklyn Doors was their customer service in response to the issue with the second set of doors. They adopted a "customer is always wrong" approach and were completely unsympathetic to the problems I was having. Their own installer was the one who advised us to get these doors, but they tried to hide behind the technicality that this person isn't actually a Brooklyn Doors employee (they sent him to my home to measure and install the doors!) My contact there didn't say "sorry" once and after a long negotiation offered to refund one small portion of the hardware, which was still in the box, but nothing else. When I wrote them an email to ask for a more substantial refund, they never responded to me. The whole experience was frustrating and took up way more time and energy than I thought this project should have. Bottom line: this is probably an OK store to go to if you know exactly what you want and have done significant research on doors. But if anything goes wrong, know that they will likely be extremely unhelpful and rude. read more

You won't leave without a few choices that you fell in love with. I worked with Vasilly, and I am very happy! Perfectly packed and not a single scratch. White gloves -- I mean, yes, the delivery guy wore white gloves. Vasilly showed a continued involvement from the beginning to the end of the project. The installation was unusually difficult as I was still installing my doors after completing my tiles. I needed something that is custom-made and a very specific fit. This ensures my vanity remains unblocked. I got it! Andrey installed the doors. Looks amazing and the hardware was perfectly installed. Doors are soundless when opened and closed. Wonderful selection of doors and that is where it ends. Like another reviewer wrote, they take, "The customer is always wrong" approach. No acknowledgement of responsibility from Alec for sending the wrong door handles. Charged me for 5 privacy locks but sent 3, but it's my fault for not knowing the difference between a Nova Saturn and a Nova Vega. They did issue a refund, but an apology from Alec would have gone a long way. I received the wrong door frames. They made a mistake on the invoice- wrote right hand inswing instead of left. I made sure the error was noticed but they still sent the wrong door frame. I guess that's my fault too. There's more. I paid for an exterior door and the order was confirmed. Then right before delivery I got an email saying the door was out of stock and I was given two pictures of doors and told to cancel or choose one. Then two delivery dates were confirmed but no door delivered. Finally the door was delivered but a detail was noticed that I could not see in the picture. The exterior door was made with transparent glass. After refusing delivery I changed my mind after being told I could either pay $400 to have them tint it or buy the tint from Auto Zone and tint it myself. Now I am still waiting for the door to be redelivered. It's been a month with this company and the nightmare is still not over. Still waiting for my door. Maybe they're understaffed and over worked. I don't know. But I wish I had chosen another company from which to order my doors. read more

I ordered some hardware on the 5th. On the 12th, aftrr 2 unanswered emails to "customer service" (I use the term loosely) i spoke to someone on the phone that said "we will send you an email update when it ships". I should have specified from where to where because even when it did ship (on the 13th). It took 7 days to get to their warehouse. And no communication. Again, I had to contact them for any info. Was assured it was shipped to me on the 17th. Didnt get an email that this had happened and only have a verbal (IM) that "it is on schedule for Friday". No tracking number. Friday, if it does arrive, will be 16 days since I ordered it and the only communication has been from me. I will update Friday and see if my order, which has halted a refurb project by at least 12 days, can continue. read more

The only reason why I even gave them one star was because I couldn't give them any. I went in to order my doors at the Farmingdale location. The guy was nice and helpful, but that's the only good thing that happen while working with this company. I paid with my CC for half, and they took my money very easy and fast. My door were custom, but I was told the ones I picked were in stock and I should have them between 2-4 weeks. Of course that was not the case. After I send several emails and calls, I received no call back. I send an email telling them to cancel my order if they don't even have the decency to return my calls. After David received that email and voicemail , he called me.. David gave me many excuses as to why my doors did not come , but no reason why the company were not returning any calls.. David of course told me one of my door with in but they were waiting on the second door that was due to come the next day.. He told me he would call me Thursday Friday the set up delivery.. of course once again , no phone call no delivery. I had to call again, he gave me another date and told me someone will call me Saturday/ Sunday for delivery for Monday... guess what???? No call no Delivery again... I called again and left a message to tell him keep his doors and refund my money. He calls me Monday evening telling me there was an issue with deliver but they are in the way to my home and will be there at 7/8.. 7/8 o'clock comes and of course again no delivery. David calls to tell me yet another excuse that delivery will not happen again... this is the worse company I've dealt with.. they have No RESPECT for their customers time or money. I have paid for my door in full and not got the moldings. I keep getting promised the moldings would be dropped off for weeks. When I was told my door was ready for pickup went in and was told moldings were given to someone else. My contractor is installing all molding tomorrow and now I do not have for my door. Andrey was very helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by variety of design options, our doors were fully customized - i.e. we we selected wood grain from one sample, door design from another, glass style we liked on a 3rd sample - and they were able to put it together. I would say, very flexible, great design and quality for a very reasonable price. My only recommendation would be to guide clients through measurement. We measured openings on our own at home, and did not do it right (since we were new to the process), which resulted in some complexity in installation. Having said that, Brooklyn doors helped us out with moldings and extra pieces that were required to fix the problem. read more

Absolute horror to work with!!!! Customer service with Manana is beyond the worst. I ordered a door two weeks ago paid extra to have it delivered by the following Tuesday. It's now been over two weeks and the door still has not shipped!!! No one there cares about the mounting costs of having the contractor here each day. This was and is beyond the worst place to buy a door. No matter how beautiful this company is incapable of delivering timely customer service. My order was constantly delayed and I had to follow up to see when it would ship and in the end it never shipped and I had to pick a different door. I paid a lot of money and the door is actually shit quality which was shocking. They blame everything on everyone but themselves and then they lied about the return policy. They carry great selection at very reasonable prices, the product quality is nice and the service is, really, as good as it gets. We were helped by Andrey Divgun who did a great job walking us through all the (really endless) options and making sure we order the right doors and hardware despite my complete inability to comprehend the difference between the right or left inswing/outswing doors. The doors were ready exactly when they said they would be ready and, in the meantime, Andrey was always accessible to answer the (many) questions we had.
