I just had one of the best bagel sandwiches in a while at Brooklyn Bread Café. Ordered L1 The Go-To on an everything bagel (toasted, of course) with cream cheese, lox, and some extra veggie toppings, and let me tell you, perfection. The bagel had that perfect crunch on the outside and chew on the inside, the cream cheese was generous and smooth, and the salmon was fresh and flavorful. Bonus points: the extras (cucumbers, banana peppers, red onions) took it over the top, exactly the kind of crunch and tang you want with lox. Paired it with a 24 oz Arnold Palmer (sweetened just right) and it was basically brunch bliss in a bag. Yes, uber eats delivery added a little to the bill, but every bite reminded me why New York bagels really can't be beat. Will definitely be ordering again when I'm back in Brooklyn. read more

Highly recommend the cookie dough chocolate chip cookie! Brooklyn Bread is so much more than just bread. I've tried their bread before and it's very good. The cookie was even better. It was rich but not overly buttery or oily. The texture was soft but not mealy. And the flavor was intriguing, like there was almost a browned butter nutty undertone intermixed with light vanilla. Combined with chocolate chips, excellent flavor. These sell out and I can see why. Really really good. read more

Picked up a Too Good To Go bag from Brooklyn Bread Cafe. They were very generous and gave me a handful of assorted bagels, a sweet pastry, and a chocolate chip muffin. I was excited to try their goods for the first time. The chocolate chip muffin was really good, even though I had it the next day. It was very moist and fluffy, and the chocolate chips didn't make it saccharine. The few bagels that I tried so far were underwhelming. I had a pinkish bagel that looked really pretty, but the subtle sweet (cherry?), almost floral flavor threw me off. I was not a fan. The onion bagel appeared loaded with toppings, but it was actually not very flavorful, which was surprising for something that had so much onions! The plain bagels were ... well, plain. In summary, the bagels didn't wow me in texture or flavor, but they also weren't what I would call bad. The only thing I couldn't swallow was the sweet pastry that had jam (?) inside. The jam tasted like straight up play dough. I had to throw it out. The staff was quick and friendly! read more

Treated myself to a NYC bagel my last day and it was amazing. I got the bushwhacker with avocado, eggs, spicy mayo, and tomatoes. The bagel was large and filled me up for the day. The neighborhood was cute as well with a street full of things to do. There are some tables to sit at inside and it took them a little to get my bagel out. A great NYC bagel (from a non New Yorker) read more

Sandwiches aren't bad but they routinely do not get the order right. Some of the numbers on their point of sales seemingly do not match up with their menu. They also asked if I wanted it toasted and then did not toast the sandwich. It was a hot pastrami+turkey+cheese and even the meat and cheese were cold... Brooklyn Sub Hub is a few blocks south along with Russo's and Winner which all have better sandwiches read more

Came to pick up some bagels a few weeks back and the service was quick. Bagels were pretty good - froze them for quick breakfast and they were great reheated. They have an extensive bagel offering so I tried their rainbow bagel which I normally wouldnt get. I cant tell but it tasted a bit fruity to me which was interesting. Will be back to try breakfast sandwiches from them in the future! read more

The food came wrapped to perfection. I ordered an Italian sandwich on a bagel. It was delicious. I wish they included so much meat. I feel like I had lunch and dinner. It came a lot faster than expected. The communication was great service on wheels. The best part was I was able to eat it in my home where the ambiance is the best! read more

Thank you to Brooklyn Bread -- the lasagna was absolutely delicious! The Leaders and I truly appreciated the time and care you put into making it, and even delivering it. They make delicious sandwiches. It is very hard choosing from their menu. You can't go wrong with any of their egg sandwiches. They make tasty Genova tuna sandwiches too. Everything is so just so soft and delicious! While the prices may seem steep, the sandwiches are packing with super soft bread and savory flavors. I was really impressed. Even the cookie is super soft. I want to try more of what they offer so I'd definitely be back. The sausage egg and cheese sandwich was basic for the price and you can get that at any deli but cheaper. My chicken and vodka sauce sandwich was INCREDIBLE! The basil and ricotta compliments it so well on a nice soft seeded hero bread. I'm ordering more for sure. read more

Stumbled upon this place on our way to Whole Foods and it did not disappoint. It was Sunday around noon they were quite busy. The restaurant is located on the corner of the street, very visible. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating with majority of the seating outdoors. Indoor has a bar with stool-seating. The workers are pretty friendly. For food we ordered Chicken Caesar wrap with grilled chicken and the Mulberry chicken sandwich on a hero. Both were pretty large and very flavorful. The bread is good but heavy, will try the Mulberry on a wrap next time. Will definitely be back! read more

Was alright, a bit expensive for a bagel and cream cheese. Maybe lunch is better, lots of items on the menu.

Fire sandwiches. Classic deli with good food. Cookies were also good, but kinda pricey for a cookie from a deli. Idk I might be out of tune. Good food either way. read more

Not sure who at this company okayed their bagel recipe, especially to sell in NYC/BK where you can find good bagels everywhere, but these are not it. Basically tasted like a roll. Dry, flakes and just overall not worth it. Walk a few blocks to hit up any one of the other half a dozen bagel spots in the are. Also took me almost 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me when I went in, no one else was in the store and three people were working behind the counter. Took an additional 10 minutes after ordering to get my bagel. Two stars are solely for the scallion cream cheese, thought that was pretty tasty. read more

Been waiting for this spot to open for quite some time, and caught them on their opening day. On the way to work, I popped in for that most NY of to-go breakfasts, coffee and a bagel. Bagels were fresh and delightfully toasted (as some neighborhood spots oddly refuse). Coffee was a bit burnt and disappointing. Service was quick and friendly, getting me out and off to the train pretty quickly. I have some concerns--both that the place seems geared more towards a commuting menu as people are working more at home--as well as that the menu is maybe too ambitiously broad--I grabbed a paper menu and it's like a mini-magazine. In addition to the eponymous breads and pastries, they have whole menu sections on Egg sandwiches (served until 4pm), Sandwiches, Large Gourmet Salads, Juices, Smoothies, and Açaí Bowls. I'm not entirely sure where they're storing all this food in a relatively small space, but good for them! Personally it feels like a potential Jack of all trades, master of none kind of place, but I'm definitely interested enough to give it another try. read more

I stopped into Brooklyn Bread Cafe and I ordered an Il Padrino sandwich. The sandwich was very large, bit not very good. The Chicken was not very fresh, and the Broccoli Rabe was overcooked. $17.27 is bit steep for me. Thank U next! read more

The best bagels ever - this is where we go for our weekend brunch and wait all week for it! Delicious

My husband and I have been coming here to order the Mulberry and Mott St sandwiches. The baking is done on the premises so the rolls and heroes they use for the sandwiches are tasty and fresh! They have a wide selection of sandwiches and they also offer salads, smoothies and these really delicious chunky cookies! Their cookies are a bit pricey at $4 BUT they are filled with sugary goodness! I tried the Churros and Oreo Cheesecake today, both satisfied my sweet tooth! Service is good on days that are not busy but on days that they are swarmed, as mentioned in other reviews, you could be standing there and no one is acknowledging you for a while. Hope this can be addressed by owner/management so you don't lose customers. Looking at their menu, I will be back to try some items in their Lox Corner soon for an update! read more

This is a great addition to the neighborhood! Great location, near the subway/bus stop, on 7 Avenue at 9/10 St. Their staff is really friendly, and they have a great selection of cookies and bagels. They make their bagels a little differently by baking versus boiling, so it's a slightly different texture than a traditional local bagel which is nice. They have lots of sandwiches, smoothies, pastries (including B&W cookies, muffins), and -- particularly exciting as a special treat -- gorgeous Duchess Cookies (such as "Cookie Monster" with vibrant blue, or bright sparkly purple/pink "Unicorn" - all of them taste as good as they look!!). I'm glad to support this new local business (they have another location on Court St too). Plus, I don't take much convincing when it comes to needing coffee and bagels. Oh, and sometimes they have a side-window open for extra ease if you have your dogs/stroller with you. read more

My rating is purely based on what I ate today I ordered espresso and eggwich - which had eggs on a ciabatta bread. I'm totally disappointed by the ciabatta bread - it tasted like a Roll. Ciabatta is suppose to be slightly rustic and chewy. Their Ciabatta was extremely soft and surely a wonderful bread, but it wasn't a Ciabatta. Espresso was not drinkable! read more

I am so happy you were able to finally open. I think your bagels are delicious especially toasted. But I do have a quibble. I know it must be very expensive real estate there but cutting corners shouldn't be penny wise and pound foolish as to turn off customers. I just spent $4.97 on a bagel with veggie Cream cheese. Usually you get too much and it's all over the paper. But this goes in the other direction and I found it extremely stingy. I picked it up on December 14 at around 12 noon so you might want to address this with whoever was on at that shift and in future training. Update: Really appreciate the responsiveness of the owner. I am looking forward to patronizing this business frequently as I am fortunate enough to live around the corner! read more

My favorite sandwich spot in Park Slope!! They are always delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully packaged. 10/10 every single time!

Quality of food and service is great! My favorite is hazelnut ice coffee. Smoothies are fresh fruit and you can't beat the specialty cookies

The bread is amazing, and today I discovered that their sandwiches are, too! They have something for everyone, from vegan to omnivore.

It was a rainy day off and I was craving a good sandwich. Scrolling through all the delivery apps I stumbled upon this place off Uber eats. My order was the "Willy-B sandwich" on ciabatta roll. I also chose on of their many add on options and selected bacon and red onions to top off their classic. This meal hit. It arrived toasty, was packed with flavor, and was a huge portion. bagels are excellent - soft and well packed. Ordered delivery and the food came in good time. Pretty good iced coffees too.

Not a place to bring seniors. We entered the location because of a friend who said it had good coffee. Upon entering I was greeted by a young lady who was very nice. I asked if I could bring a table inside with 2 seats (they were light, easy to pick up) because my mom is elderly and she was cold. There was ample room for 1 table and 2 chairs. The nice young lady said she didn't see a problem but just had to check with her manager. No mind you, the manager never came out to see us. The young lady returned to us, and said the manager said no because of fire safety regulations. I wonder if he me gives a 101 class on fire safety to customers upon entering this café. We didn't taste the food and we left. Shame on you Brooklyn bread for no being senior friendly. read more

Ugh - I'm sorry, but this place is truly underwhelming. Even upon first glance, you can tell these are NOT good New York style bagels. I'd be thrilled to find these in the mid-West (even Boston, to be honest), but they're doing themselves a disservice by naming the place BROOKLYN Bread. It's just so subpar - not bad, but not competitive with any of the surrounding bagel spots. The good news is that the staff was so sweet (hence the 3 stars). read more

The bagels here don't taste like anything else I've had in my entire life in New York. My partner, who is from a suburb of another city, said they remind him of what he had growing up. Needless to say, if you're looking for a classic New York bâclé, this isn't the place. read more

Not my style but could be yours! Most important thing to note is that the bagels are nothing like the bagels you may be used to, which is very clearly stated on window signage. What you can expect is bread with crust that's shaped like a bagel - light, airy and not well-suited for cream cheese. The texture alone turned me off. The flavor could be improved, too. I tried a few types of bagels: garlic, chocolate, cinnamon raisin and more. The garlic bagel had too much garlic in the center, and the chocolate bagel was bitter. With some improvements to texture and flavors, I'd be glad to return to this place. read more
