What you can expect is bread with crust that's shaped like a bagel - light, airy and not well-suited for cream cheese. The texture alone turned me off. The flavor could be improved, too. I tried a few types of bagels: garlic, chocolate, cinnamon raisin and more. The garlic bagel had too much garlic in the center, and the chocolate bagel was bitter. With some improvements to texture and flavors, I'd be glad to return to this place. read more

YUMMY and fun cookies. Very sweet and unique flavors. They're all "stuffed" with something like cookie dough or Nutella. Yum! The sandwiches are also great! Myself and several of my friends think the sandwiches are significantly better than the other well-know sandwich shop down the street. The açaí bowl was a bit icy and wasn't the best. When she arrived at my hospital bed, she told me she brought me an egg salad sandwich on a bagel. I really like egg salad and try it from many different places as often as I can. Lenny helped me out in a pinch with less than 24 hours notice and knocked it out of the park! Everyone complimented the presentation and the variety. I ordered an oreo cheesecake cookie and received a blue artificially colored cookie that I did not like. They also had a teacher/police/hospital worker discount and I presented my ID which the cashier acknowledged but then didn't apply the discount. Pros: they have pork roll, great cookies and the one woman behind the counter ( I think she's French, if not pardon me. She had dirty blonde hair and an accent) she's very sweet and super friendly. I didn't catch her name. Cons: My main issue it's very unorganized and a bit chaotic. The two check out counters confuse customers walking in as people waiting are just standing in between. As someone who worked in a similar place for 10 years they need to have a friendly organize but firm manger to instruct customers and just bring some order behind the counter ( at least on the weekends). While I was waiting for my stuff they confused two other peoples orders because they didn't tell the the customer they need to keep their receipt for the order number. The girls behind the counter just didn't seem to care ( besides the French girl) New customers were waiting behind people who already ordered thinking it was the line and no one behind the counter was telling people who ordered to move to the side so it was clearer or even telling new customers this is the line to order. It's Sunday morning 4/10, so i expected it to be busy but I feel lIke they need someone to take charge back there. Just a suggestion. The food: so far everything I got has been pretty good except for today which is why I would knock them half a star. I ordered an açai bowl and when I got home to eat it the açaí part is still frozen solid, they didn't blend it at all just seems they took it right out of the freezer then added the toppings. That was a bummer. Only other note is that as I'm originally from NJ seeing pork roll warms my heart but the only thing ( which is not a knock at just this establishment) seems like every single place in NY does not know how to cook a pork roll properly and under cooks it. This place is a great vibe. Good energy when you walk in. The sandwiches are so tasty and there are so many options for beverages ( Juices & smoothies) . I enjoy the urban feel and pleasant employees. There are So many options I never know what to choose! Overall it is a bit pricey. I can honestly say I have never been in the establishment it was recommended by a friend originally. I heard great things about this place. This is my second time using them for different functions. The first time was for a company event. I recently used them again on Jan 20 for my moms 85 birthday. All I can say is it is definitely worth it!!!
