    The chicken cesar salad sizing
    Stephanie S.

So we tried Bronx Pizza for the first time via Uber One eats delivery. I can't believe no one is mentioning how INSANELY expensive their food is. We only got a Margherita Pizza and added pepperoni and a promo free chicken cesar salad. I am originally from up north so I feel I've had my fair share of amazing pizza from MD & NY. The water truly matters. I did enjoy the sauce and the dough was tasty. However....OMGGGG $37.50 for a pizza only adding pepperoni??!!!! And IF I hadn't gotten that salad it would have cost $17.50! Sorry not sorry but there's no way I'm paying this kind of money again for a normal size pizza nothing extraordinary. So I tried it. Never again. I can get an amazing much cheaper same pizza from V pizza MUCH cheaper. Sorry Bronx. I know you're a chain anyways also.

I was very excited when I saw a new pizza place on CR210. Especially when it was only a few miles from my house. It's in the same shopping center as the original CR210 Publix. It was about 11:15am and my wife had run over to grab a few things at Publix. I grabbed the opportunity and asked her to grab a pizza and a calzone for us from Bronx House Pizza. I called in the order and was told about 20 to 25 minutes. The woman who took the order was very nice and polite. She also answered my questions about prices that aren't on their menu. My wife arrived about 1135am to pick up the pizza. She said the line and wait was so long that it took about 30 minutes to pay and pick up the order. She said there was one person making pizza and one person on the counter who was also running around doing other things. The counter woman was very nice and polite helping my wife but it was obvious she needed extra help. By the time my wife arrived home with the order the pizza and calzone were cold and had to be reheated in our oven. We live less than 3 miles from the location. The pizza was very good. The best on CR210. It had a thin crisp crust. The sauce is sweet and very good. There were a lot of fresh and flavorful toppings on it. Sadly the cheese was a little tough and chewy. I enjoyed the pizza except the cheese really knocked it down. I just wished the cheese was of better quality or maybe just fresher. I asked my wife if she liked the calzone. She replied, "It's good, but nothing to die for." She added that she has had better sausage than what was in the calzone. I was disappointed when I went to their website and discovered that this was a chain pizza place. However, as far as chains go this was the best "chain pizza" I ever had. It wasn't on their website when we ordered but a large cheese pizza is $19 and change. I paid $21.99 for a large 2 toppings pizza. If you like N.Y. style pizza try Bronx House Pizza. It's the best pizza in the CR210 area. I'm wishing for a better cheese supplier.

We've stopped in here before picking up orders for food delivery and have been wanting to stop and eat here. We were not disappointed. The joint is small, but the interior is so cool. Service is quick and friendly. We had Haley who mentioned she was new, but she did a lovely job! Efficient and never missed anything. We started out with the garlic knots. I cannot stress enough how superb these bad boys were. Crispy and warm, served with marinara sauce. Plus, they're sitting in a garlic butter sauce that just added extra *chefs kiss* to it all. Then we split a large pizza, the Big Al. The crust was thinner and so crispy all around. We really enjoyed the toppings of this one, I definitely wanted more. Dipped the crust in ranch which was tasty. The ranch did cost extra, but they were both very good sizes and felt like I got my money's worth. We will be back to try the other dishes for sure!

Food and service are outstanding. The pizza is traditional NY style. They've got a great menu for everything else. Wings, pasta, hero's and the portion sizes are huge. You will have leftovers. I only got a picture of my egg plant parm, but we ordered a lot. I recommend starting with the garlic knots.

I had the very simple rigatoni bolognese. Pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente and the sauce was really good. It was a little on the sweet side for me, but tasted pretty fresh! They also brought us out an "on the house" mushroom appetizer that was delicious. If you like mushrooms, get it! I also sampled the lobster ravioli (on special) and enjoyed it. I am not a huge lobster anything fan, but even I thought it was pretty good! I also had a glass of the house red wine blend they have and that was one of the best house wines I've had in a long time! Super smooth. Teeniest bit sweet. No aftertaste at all. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable and just generally great. I had only sat in the bar area previously and thought it could get a little loud but I felt less so about the restaurant itself. The tables are nicely spaced from each other so you have your privacy. My only complaint (and not really a complaint a just a warning so no one is surprised if it comes up... ) is that they charge a $30 cake fee if you bring your own cake. It's just a little bit of a bummer, but I totally understand why. They were super polite about it when I called. Anyhow... food and service was great. Would go again!

The entrées on the other hand were rough. I got the Gemelli con Salsiccia e Funghi Aglio e Olio ** that they recommended and it was possibly the saltiest dish I had ever had. Two people from our group got the lasagna and said it had too much wine in it. Another got the Rigatoni all Vodka that had only 2 pieces of shrimp and needed salt. My husband got the Veal Penne Pomodoro Parmigiana and (I won't say how he described it) didn't like it. We did like the Italian Cream Cake. It was painful waiting on our waitress and she also didn't give any of us our change after we paid. If I go back, I would not get any of those entrees again.

Big, square room that was loud and cold. Hostess tried to "group us" in one small area with other diners that backed up to the bar's back door and along a row of computer terminals and bus tables. We asked for a better table and she tried to put us at the door to the kitchen. We asked for another option and asked for a specific table and the Hostess coldly agreed and gave it to us without saying a word (plenty of open tables on a Wednesday night!). My wife ordered a glass of Cabernet that was "on special." It showed up when she was well into her entree. Another of our guests ordered Chicken on Penne Pasta and got Shrimp on Penne. He didn't want to make a scene and just pushed the shrimp around in the bed of lifeless Penne. I ordered the Triple Tail on Cajun Risotto w/ Shrimp and it was so salty I just packed it up to take home and add my own Risotto to it the next day so it would be edible. I asked to split a Caesar Salad w/ my wife which arrived on one big plate so we had to keep passing the plate back and forth...I hate that! For goodness sake's, is a small side plate for sharing that big of a deal? As mentioned, the Dining room was depressing and if you go to this restaurant, I recommend you sit in the lounge for dinner and it has a much better atmosphere than the dining room. This place is way overrated and needs some serious attention if they plan to be around long.

This was our second time at House Italian and the first thing we noticed we that they've expanded to double the size the from our last visit. We started with the Meatball Appetizer this time and liked it a lot. We like their sauce and the fact that it wasn't buried in too much cheese. We both got to pick starters with our meals as well. I went with the Lemon Chicken Soup which I had last time. I'm not a big lemon fan but it's not overpowering in this soup, it's more like a hint which is why I had it again. My wife loved the dressing on their house salad last time, so she went with that again too. You get garlic bread with your meal and yes, it tastes every bit as good as it looks in the photo I took. I picked the Seafood Over Linguini for my entree. Again, the lemon aspect of the butter sauce wasn't overpowering which is great. There was a LOT of seafood, just like the seafood risotto I had last time and the noodles were cooked perfectly. In short, I'm going to have a hard time moving away from their seafood offerings. My wife had their Chicken Francese last time and absolutely loved it. She wanted to try something else this time she so went with Chicken Scampi. It was as good as she hoped. She didn't give me specifics but she did say "oh that's the stuff" a lot from the first bite on lol. A couple of other things are worth note: first, we got there at 5:30 and even with the expansion, they were PACKED. We felt pretty fortunate to get the literal last available booth. I rarely recommend this but if you're going to go try them, I'd strongly recommend reservations for your first time. Just to make sure you don't show up at the wrong time and end up with a long wait because their word of mouth is so strong. Last but not least, shout out to Waldi, our server. He greeted us at the counter with a smile,, sat us, then became our server too. He was taking care of us, other tables, handling carry out orders and probably other stuff I didn't see. And the dude was smiling the whole time to top it off!

Arrival: There are parking lots nearby--expect to pay around $15-25. As we walked up, there was live jazz music playing in the courtyard, which set a really great vibe right away. Service: Our waiter was attentive and timely without being overbearing. Food: Everything was amazing. We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). FYI: the little cubes that look like white cheddar are *not* cheese...I learned that the hard way by biting into a square of butter. For dinner, I had the cacio e pepe and he ordered the 100 lasagna. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, but honestly fine after filling up on bread. For dessert, we shared an affogato--the espresso wasn't burnt (which is surprisingly rare), so that was a big win. Overall: After the Resy credit, parking ended up costing more than the meal, which is kind of wild. Only downside was that there are just two restrooms, and there was a line when we went. We started with the bread appetizer, which came with several types of fresh bread and an incredible lineup of spreads like whipped ricotta, truffle butter, regular butter, and honey. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... We were way too full for dessert, but we did enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner which made the whole experience feel like the perfect date night. The service was fantastic, the food was memorable, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to for many more dates!
