    The big table. The band

The concept of a Country Bar has escaped this place. The wait staff are amazing and very attentive. Some of the food is pretty greasy especially the cheese curds. There must have been a tablespoon of it on the plate. The way the food is served doesn't represent western style. Plates are too fancy for a Western feel. The seating is horrible because there are too many tables and chairs which causes crowding. You can barely get past others because there isn't enough space. There isn't any space to dance and the music is set way too loud especially during band breaks. If this place wants to be successful, there needs to be some significant changes. Maybe they could have a decorator to help make it make sense for a real Western theme and atmosphere. Id love to give this place another chance but after they make changes. Well wishes to them.

I'll start by saying I really like the decor in here. It's kind of divey with the western feel you'd expect from the name. They play country music which I love and they do line dancing as well! I stopped in for dinner this evening because I heard good things about the food, and there were only 6 or 7 people in there. I sat up at the bar and waited for close to 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I ordered the chicken club sandwich and a soda water. The food came out in a pretty good amount of time, so that was good. The fries were cold but edible, so that was disappointing. The chicken club was decent. Chicken had good flavor and was cooked pretty well. It came with a whole grain mustard aioli which I couldn't taste any of it. I even just ate a piece of the bread and still couldn't taste it. The bread tastes home made, and it was delicious but cut way too thick in my opinion. The tomatoes were good but they don't use a slicer because it was cut really thick on one side and really thin on the other. So aside from the sub par service, and the cold fries I would say the food is decent but maybe not for the price. I'll give it another try, and update my review if the situation changes.

    Tasty meal!

Last minute choice to check out this place and it did not disappoint! 7pm on a Friday night , two seats at the bar for dinner, fantastic ambiance, full room, excellent live music, simple and tasty menu with an amazing bartender /server. Will definitely come back when I'm in town. What a great use of a beautiful space !

My husband and I went into Bronco Kelly's last night for some drinks and dinner. The food was great but the cocktails are prices you would see in Vegas or New York. $18 for a Tito's lemon drop and a $17 Casadores margarita. The bar manager really needs to look at their pricing structure because that is insane and doesn't justify what they are charging. I do not understand how classic cocktails are more than their cocktail menu with specialty liquors or high end spirits? I bartend downtown Portland, which drinks are definitely priced in a higher bracket and are a fraction of that price. Food was great but stay away for their cocktails unless you want to pay nearly $20 a pop for a grossly overpriced mid shelf spirit.

Great atmosphere, fun music and great servers. They just opened and are working hard. Cute chandeliers.

This place is awesome!!! Newberg has been needing a restaurant like this, for a long time. Food, drinks and atmosphere are great. The staff are very friendly and service is good. They offer a ton of entertainment from open mic on Mondays, line dancing on Tuesdays, karaoke on Wednesdays, and live entertainment on Friday and Saturdays. They also have a back room that has two pool tables and a jukebox. I've gone there weekly since they opened and have NEVER had a bad experience there.

We had a large party for dinner on a Friday night during rush time. Our waitress was absolutely incredible! She was fun, attentive, and so great. We all enjoyed our food, drinks and the atmosphere is everything Newberg needs! Will absolutely be back!

They are a pleasure to chat with as you have a drink at the bar, happy hour or not. Except yesterday they were admonished not to talk with us so much although it wasn't busy, so I guess we will not be going as much anymore. That really saddens me, but they hired someone new I think that's more about efficiency than begin as attentive to customers, especially us older ones with stories. Oh well...things change.

Great spot for a date night, special family celebration dinner, or catch-up with good friends. Loved the elderly couple who came for drinks and dessert only! First starter was the clam special in white, smooth broth with leeks, served with two big slices of crispy focaccia. YUM. I didn't think 25 clams would be enough to fill me up, but I was wrong, and this special was great. Second starter was the duck confit salad, and the duck leg was cooked perfectly, skin on. Husband liked the matchstick apples and cherry vinaigrette but thought the blue cheese was overpowering. First entree was the king prawn pasta alla vodka, and the noodles were overcooked - fastest way to kill a meal. Prawns cooked perfectly, but the noodles were mush in an otherwise nice sauce. Husband and I both loved his butternut soup, drizzled with good quality EVOO and rich texture. Curious what other ingredients they use (or where they get their butternuts) because their soup was WAY better than anything I've made at home. Dessert was fab: lemon mousse topped with vanilla pavlova. We saw another table order one of each dessert, but their lemon mousse went first, which sealed our decision! Would recommend for anyone passing through Dundee - just skip the pasta.

We are glad it was the Newbergundian Bistro. We had to start with a Croissant. It was very flavorful, but it was bit soft, not the perfect crunch that we love. The fresh squeezed grapefruit juice made an excellent greyhound. The Bistro had my favorite...Escargot as a special. WOW. So good. We then shared the Potato Croquettes. The accompanying fondue was so good to dip the Croquettes into. We finished with a Ham and Brie Sandwich that was excellent, accompanied by crisp and hot french fries. My wife had the Grilled Five Cheese Sandwich with Mixed Greens. She loved it. Traci was terrific and helped us throughout the meal.

Truly outstanding. Our waitress was very nice and made some great suggestions including the persimmon sorbet dessert. It was served with ginger beer and an apple turnover. Original and very refreshing after a nice meal. The decor has a French leitmotif and the kitchen is open so you can see the cooks at work. Nice atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this nice French bistro.
