Came here two days in a row after getting a recommendation from a local. I tried both the nachos and the fries, and really enjoyed them. The portions were generous, and the service at the bar was excellent on both visits. My only real complaint is that the restaurant seemed a bit dirty each time I was there. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but it was noticeable. The vibe of this place is really great!! There's a lot of potential with this place. The food overall though was not good. Our food came out room temp. We tried a variety of things on the menu and were underwhelmed. The "burnt end" nachos were the most disappointing - the meat was very chewy and came out looking not like burnt ends at all. The chicken strips, fries, and fried pickles were decent, but sadly doesn't make up for the mains. Hopefully the food gets better because it really is nice spot for live music and a fun atmosphere, but I don't think we'll be back. read more

We tried out Bronco Kelly's for the first time on Friday night. We came at 6 and didn't know they had a live music night. We were seated in the back area which was great since we had kids with us. Server was friendly but food took an hour to come out, and it was all cold. I asked if the prime rib special came with a potato and she said no, but one came out anyway. My mom ordered a half rack of ribs but it came out as a full rack and they charged us for it. They don't have a kids menu so my son got a plain burger and that was fine, just pricy for kids. Kinda loud, but fun. Food is good, maybe not excellent but hey it's a bar, not a five-star restaurant.

We went at the beginning of October. The place was jam packed but we snagged a table in back. We were able to get a round of drinks and an appetizer but after that, we didn't see our server for an hour. It was chaotic and we weren't checked on so we never got to order our dinner. When the server finally came back to take our order they were out of most items on the dinner menu. We were reluctant to order more drinks since we already sat there with empty glasses after trying to get her attention multiple times. Paying the tab was another fiasco and she charged us for someone else's tab and then had to redo the transaction. I didn't really see where there is space to do any line dancing with the table set up and limited space. They do have pool tables in back with large tables. Im hoping that after some time goes by, they will find their rhythm and smooth things out. I would love to give them a second chance, just not any time soon. Pros: good atmosphere, tasty drinks and appetizers. Cons : unorganized, servers are overwhelmed, ran out of food, and not much room to dance. This place has the potential to be something great in the heart of downtown. read more

Just opened and not thriving. Please seat yourself then we won't come to your table for 10-15 minutes. ? Maybe a new thing and or not enough staff thing stay tuned. Maybe again they just have not hired someone. The drinks were not that good not even mixed well. Cowboy coffee with the alcohol on the side in a shot glass. I just didn't get it. Burger was not fresh and not 1/3 pound as advertised. Who serves a burger and fries with no ketchup? I'm guessing they just need staff. The chef/cook is running food out. Was there good? The fries were decent but frozen. Check out was fast. They came and dropped off the Bluetooth CC machine. So you check yourself out Maybe the music scene is better. read more

I may be the first Broncoholic! Real Food! Real Good! Very friendly staff! I've been here many times since they first opened, and it just keeps getting better. Ribs! Baked Potato! Grilled Cheese is out of this world! Ordered Medium Well Prime Rib special, it come a little rare for my liking, but they gladly (and quickly!) got it right. I'll start by saying I really like the decor in here. It's kind of divey with the western feel you'd expect from the name. They play country music which I love and they do line dancing as well! I stopped in for dinner this evening because I heard good things about the food, and there were only 6 or 7 people in there. I sat up at the bar and waited for close to 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I ordered the chicken club sandwich and a soda water. The food came out in a pretty good amount of time, so that was good. The fries were cold but edible, so that was disappointing. The chicken club was decent. Chicken had good flavor and was cooked pretty well. It came with a whole grain mustard aioli which I couldn't taste any of it. I even just ate a piece of the bread and still couldn't taste it. The bread tastes home made, and it was delicious but cut way too thick in my opinion. The tomatoes were good but they don't use a slicer because it was cut really thick on one side and really thin on the other. So aside from the sub par service, and the cold fries I would say the food is decent but maybe not for the price. I'll give it another try, and update my review if the situation changes. read more

The concept of a Country Bar has escaped this place. The wait staff are amazing and very attentive. Some of the food is pretty greasy especially the cheese curds. There must have been a tablespoon of it on the plate. The way the food is served doesn't represent western style. Plates are too fancy for a Western feel. The seating is horrible because there are too many tables and chairs which causes crowding. You can barely get past others because there isn't enough space. There isn't any space to dance and the music is set way too loud especially during band breaks. If this place wants to be successful, there needs to be some significant changes. Maybe they could have a decorator to help make it make sense for a real Western theme and atmosphere. Id love to give this place another chance but after they make changes. Saturday was a failure...we came in around 5 and got a table. The atmosphere is great and feels authentic for sure. The front of the place very small and no room for servers to move around and it wasn't even full yet. Our server informed us three different times of them already being out of certain beer choices we attempted. My husband and I went into Bronco Kelly's last night for some drinks and dinner. The food was great but the cocktails are prices you would see in Vegas or New York. $18 for a Tito's lemon drop and a $17 Casadores margarita. The bar manager really needs to look at their pricing structure because that is insane and doesn't justify what they are charging. I do not understand how classic cocktails are more than their cocktail menu with specialty liquors or high end spirits? I bartend downtown Portland, which drinks are definitely priced in a higher bracket and are a fraction of that price. Food was great but stay away for their cocktails unless you want to pay nearly $20 a pop for a grossly overpriced mid shelf spirit. read more

This place is awesome!!! Newberg has been needing a restaurant like this, for a long time. Food, drinks and atmosphere are great. The staff are very friendly and service is good. They offer a ton of entertainment from open mic on Mondays, line dancing on Tuesdays, karaoke on Wednesdays, and live entertainment on Friday and Saturdays. They also have a back room that has two pool tables and a jukebox. I've gone there weekly since they opened and have NEVER had a bad experience there. read more

We went there during the grand opening and understood the chaos, wait times, dis-organization was normal for a grand opening. We decided to give it another try. Service was horrible. Had to go get our own menus our own silverware. There was two people behind the bar and maybe five or six tables tops. This is a country music bar. Took a long time to get service. Once we got a server, the service was great. I ordered the wings, they were tasty but not crispy. Tried the tomato basil soup, left a lot to be desired.The cowboy coffee was meh, but the second cocktail was really really good. I don't remember the name of it, though. A quieter, more comfortable seating is in the back with the pool tables. I was hoping for better food, as Newberg needs all the variety it can get. It's a country music bar. Burnt end nachos are awful...cold with cheese from a can...the burnt ends were all fat, no meat. Nicely told the waitress (not her fault) and not even a hint at not paying for them. We ate about half and didn't eat hardly any if the meat. Probably will try back at some point but we'll see read more

We arrived after the dinner rush so we thought to a scrambled staff that had no clue what hospitality was. We were sat at a half dirty table with no menus, no water and sat there for 15 minutes. Three people came up to us and asked if we needed something. My reply was yes menus and water. They pointed to where the water station was, which I thought was odd and then continue to stand in the corner. Once our server finally came over who is obviously overwhelmed. She stated they were out of wine and suggested a hefeweizen. Who runs out of wine at 7 o'clock on a Friday evening? Anyways, we decided to order what we thought would be the easiest as possible, which was their baby back ribs, and a baked potato with pulled pork. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and I waited one hour and 10 minutes before I asked where our food was. I was told it had only been 58 minutes and argued with me then I was told it would be another 15 to 20 minutes at this point we were so incredibly hungry and debating whether to leave or stay so I set a timer the owner insured me that if we waited, he'd pick up the tab. After about 15 more minutes the food finally arrived. It was the absolute worst ribs I've ever had in my life. I couldn't even chew them cut them or pull anything off the bone inedible and disgusting. Nobody came back to check on us. We ate the french fries and baked potato and asked for our check we were charged full price for everything and I just didn't have it in me to argue with anyone anymore. I boxed up the ribs to go and tried to feed them to five different people who were astounded that someone served that. I had great hopes but obviously business owners that have no clue how to run a restaurant. I wish them luck. Can't say I'd come back. read more

The restaurant it's sell is so full of oversized tables in the back it makes it hard to have conversations. Super cute decor, and the music was great. People were having a great time dancing! Food was mediocre--bronco burger was tepid with unmelted cheese. The meat on the baked potato was great, but other toppings were sparse. Pricing seemed appropriate. Drinks were just ok. I realize that the place just opened and that they're still working out the bugs, but the service was SLOW!! Thank goodness we ordered food when we placed our drink order because we didn't see our server again till it was time to pay the tab. Never had a chance to order a second drink. We were seated in the back room by the pool tables--2 people at a table with 5 chairs, but we had to squeeze next to the wall because pool cues were constantly up in our faces and nearly knocking over our water glasses. We want to support local businesses and hope this place makes it, but we won't be back unless things change. read more

Found this place on my Maps app after spending an afternoon in Newberg playing disc golf at Hoover Park and wanted to find a near by Pub. This place just had their grand opening the week before. Great new Western themed brew pub. Service was outstanding. The Mac and Jack's African Lager was cold and tasty. Nice selection of food. The bacon cheeseburger was huge. The burnt ends were chunks of fat very little actual meat and more like pot roast not burnt ends, also served less than warm, one notch up from cold. Unedible for 18 bucks. Which we still paid for. First time there, good atmosphere, busy. Ordered dinner and listened to some live music. Waitress was friendly. Took order for drinks then dinner. Then we had to wait to get out check. A different Waitress kept coming to table to ask if we wanted more drinks which we declined. Got our check, paid our bill and left. EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE & AMBIANCE!!! We went for the "made from scratch" soup by one of the chefs, Kyle, who does an awesome job. We had heard great things about this guy's homemade soups and they are true! He makes a different soup fresh each Sunday for the dinner crowd. Yesterday's was "Creamy Prime Rib & Potato" soup. Let me just say that it was the best soup we've ever had. LOTS of tender prime rib! We were told his soups and many other culinary delights are all his unique recipes. When it's gone it's gone so get there for a great taste treat! I wish I had taken a photo of it but forgot and gobbled it up; it was so delicious! We also had the Caesar salad which was fresh and delightful. We wanted to try his other special of the day which was Jalapeño Macaroni & Cheese, but we were too full - next time....we are definitely repeat customers. It was quiet on Sunday @ 5:00 and gets more lively with music during the week and weekends. Great place! read more

Bronco Kelly's is a new establishment in Newberg. It is everything that has been missing in downtown Newberg. I have lived in Newberg for years and there are no restaurants for food/bar that even come close to what they have to offer. Excellent food choices and so far I think I have had almost everything on their menu and I just can't get enough. They allow children up to 7pm when the live music starts which is so nice for families with children to be able to share the food experience with them as well. Parking in downtown Newberg can sometimes be sparse, but they even have that covered as they have arranged with Hopp Insurance the use of their parking lot after 5pm during the week and anytime on the weekend. Top notch musician playing from 7-10 pm. I cannot rave enough about the wait staff and the bartenders. This is a must go to place for locals and a place to take your out of town guests. read more

We had a fun time here and enjoyed the ambiance and everyone was friendly. The drinks were good and the food was decent. I read another review by a person of color who went into the business already hesitant and seemingly expecting to be discriminated based on their color but as a person of color myself, I didn't have the same experience. Never even thought about it (and never do when I go anywhere) I just pick a place I want to try and that's that. This is 2025 and to this day, I've never experienced any type of discrimination anywhere I've ever gone and this restaurant was no exception. I thought it looked like a fun place to check out and it was and I am glad I went and WILL be back. I love the old saloon type feel to it. I think if you go into a place with certain pre-determined expectations, then you are actually looking for things to misinterpret that will seemingly fit that narrative you already have built up in your mind. It is a shame because this place has such potential and as a new business, there are bound to be kinks to work out but I am confident that they are good people with no ill will towards anyone and I am happy there is a fun spot like this now in Newberg. read more

I was excited to visit a place many have raved about, but I was highly disappointed with the experience. As a person of color, you already have many hesitations about entering establishments like this. I tried to look past it and have a good time. As soon as I entered, I was not even given the courtesy of a hello or even a fake smile. Immediately put off and felt incredibly uncomfortable. Tried to stick it out for a friend. Another person came up to greet us. The person did not even look at me. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming to my white-passing friend, even going so far as to shake her hand. Even at the bar, barely any acknowledgment, not even when ordering. I didn't speak to anyone at the establishment, only my friend during my visit. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. Overall, this is my experience: the drink was decent, and the price was better than in other places; it was just tough to enjoy a drink when I was made to feel uncomfortable and like it's wrong to be a person of color. read more
